The on-duty front desk staff are super helpful; they have both day and night shifts, and their responses are always prompt! The two beds can accommodate four people, but it would be even better if there were two more seats for the sofa bench."

"I booked here because it’s highly recommended and known for 4-star quality — yes, it was pricier at ~1227/2nights, but I understood it was peak National Holiday season so I went ahead for 2 nights. ✅ What I loved: Breakfast is excellent — wide, rich variety, thoroughly enjoyed every meal.The bed is huge and perfect — so comfortable and convenient Good reputation and solid standard overall plus the location. ⚠️ Where it fell short: Booked late so limited rooms left — got the Business Room, which has no window — honestly, I didn’t like that at all. No bedside lights,made the room feel dim. Bathroom was the biggest letdown: no ceiling rainfall shower, only a handheld head that can’t be adjusted up or down. It’s mounted high above my head so I had to hold it the whole time or water sprayed straight onto the wall. Water easily overflows onto the floor because of gaps in the shower glass — messy every time. The hair dryer was in bad condition so I had it replace. I was provided with a new one,better quality.👍 I really considered asking to change rooms, but my schedule was packed — back late, leave early — so moving would’ve just wasted travel time. If you get a better room category, I’m sure it lives up to its 4-star name. But for ¥600 plus/night, this room felt far from the quality I expected. Great breakfast & bed aside, the room and bathroom need real improvement."

"Niaodao Seascape is a local hostel-hotel located within a commercial building called Haibin Building (海滨大厦) and on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making it so strategically located for sightseeing, food and shopping. You may walk to the Ferry Terminal to catch the ferry across to Gulangyu. Each room is equipped with a Xiaodu ai assistant in and if you can speak Chinese, you can request ”xiao du xiao du” to help turn on/off the lights and curtains. Their room design is a bit funky :-). I had some washing to do and they helped me to get it done for free. Their staff are really hospital, they help you to carry your luggages to the room and down to the ground floor and ordering a Didi to the airport. There is a convenient store on the ground floor of the building. The Zhenhai metro is almost a km away but since taxis and Didis are easily available and cheap, it is no biggie. I rated them a 4 for facilities because they do not have is a fridge and safe in the room but all else is very good. I plan to come back to here to stay the next time I visit Xiamen."

The morning sun sparkled on the shimmering sea like scattered diamonds, and in the evening, the sunset painted the sky orange, making the horizon look like a spilled palette. This sea-view suite gave me an unforgettable seaside vacation. The room design was simple yet stylish, with light wood furniture paired with off-white fabric sofas, creating an immediate sense of relaxation. The most delightful surprise was the two-meter-wide panoramic bed, perfectly aligned with the ocean. I fell asleep to the sound of waves every night and woke up gently to the first rays of dawn over the sea. The high-thread-count Egyptian cotton bedding was incredibly smooth, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was equally impressive—a huge bathtub right next to the floor-to-ceiling window allowed me to take in the entire ocean view while bathing. The hotel thoughtfully provided sea salt bath bombs and aromatherapy candles, showcasing their attention to detail. The toiletries were from a well-known brand, and their woody scent surprisingly complemented the sea breeze. The balcony was my favorite spot. In the morning, I'd enjoy a pour-over coffee while watching seagulls glide over the water. In the afternoon, I'd lie on a rattan chair, flipping through a book, letting the slightly salty sea breeze caress my face. In the evening, I'd sip a glass of red wine, listening to the ebb and flow of the tide. The hotel also thoughtfully provided beach mats and parasols, and a two-minute walk led to their private beach, which had fine, soft sand, few people, and beautiful scenery. Regarding dining, the hotel's breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, with the freshly made seafood congee and local specialties being highly recommended. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge was also worth trying; the desserts were exquisite, the savory items delicious, and combined with the unbeatable sea view, it offered excellent value for money. The service team was always smiling; they proactively upgraded my room upon check-in and even gifted me handmade shell souvenirs upon check-out. This stay truly allowed me to experience the poetic life of ”facing the sea.” Whether for a romantic getaway, a family trip, or simply to unwind, this sea-view hotel is an excellent choice. I look forward to my next encounter with the sea."
