The rooms are beautiful, with options for both parent-child and family rooms. The lobby's eagle-themed decor is majestic and impressive, perfectly capturing a sense of grandeur and power. It evokes imagery of a brilliant strategist, effortlessly commanding victory. Additionally, Ocean Flower Island offers four different themed rooms: desert, ocean, glacier, and zoo themes. Ocean Flower Island boasts numerous attractions, including a Ming and Qing style street, the Su Dongpo Museum, the Su Dongpo Study, yachting, and scuba diving, among others.

Hotel near Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village,Sanya 11.1% of visitors choose this area
TTeobisata 2026.02.20
I stayed at Yalong Bay Earthly Paradise Birds Nest Resort in Sanya. The resort is marketed and priced as a luxury property. While the location, room quality, and cleanliness were satisfactory, the service level was severely below what is acceptable for a hotel in this category. This was not an isolated incident but a consistent pattern of operational inefficiency and lack of professionalism. Service Quality and Staff Preparedness Throughout the stay, many staff members appeared very young and inexperienced. While this is not inherently negative, the lack of visible supervision, structured coordination, and professional training was evident. This may partially explain the repeated service failures, but it does not justify them — especially at this price point. A luxury resort must ensure proper training and management oversight. Dinner Experience The restaurant had very few guests, yet the staff forgot to provide basic cutlery (forks and chopsticks). No one monitored the tables, and water was not refilled unless specifically requested. Even fundamental hospitality standards were not met. Breakfast Management Breakfast operations were disorganized. There was a waiting list based on arrival order, yet guests who arrived after us were allowed to enter before us. We were traveling with a small child, which made the delay particularly uncomfortable. As compensation, staff promised to send fruit to our room. The fruit never arrived. Offering apologies without follow-through demonstrates poor internal coordination and lack of accountability. Checkout and Transportation Failures On departure day, we had to request luggage assistance three times before receiving support. We then waited 40 minutes for the shuttle to reception while several buses passed without stopping for us. During this time, we called reception three times without any effective resolution. Because of this disorganization and delay at checkout, I was forced to postpone a lunch meeting in Sanya with a very important guest of mine who was waiting for me. This was a significant professional commitment. A luxury resort’s inefficiency directly impacting a guest’s business obligations is unacceptable. Communication and Safety Concerns No staff members spoke English. For a resort charging international luxury rates, the absence of English-speaking personnel is a serious limitation for foreign guests. Additionally, there was no visible safety guard near the swimming pools, which raises concerns, especially for families with children. Hotel Environment The hotel’s reserved areas were crowded with external tourists mixed among hotel guests, resulting in noise, confusion, and a complete lack of exclusivity. The atmosphere was chaotic rather than relaxing. The resort does not appear structured to accommodate international travelers seeking privacy and refined service standards. Overall Assessment I have stayed in numerous high-end resorts worldwide where service is proactive, coordinated, and client-focused. At this property, service was consistently inadequate and far below the level expected for the rates charged. Summary: Location: good Room: good Cleanliness: good Service: unacceptable For a resort positioned as luxury, this level of service is indefensible. One of the most disappointing high-end hospitality experiences I have experienced.

DDudushigetanchimao 2026.01.20
The hotel is located by Qishui Bay, about a 10-minute walk to the beach. The indoor pool is around 22 meters long with a depth of 1 meter. Some rooms have balconies with views of the launch site, while others overlook Qishui Bay. Since the exact launch time couldn't be known in advance, I missed seeing it from my room, but the hotel does offer a paid viewing service. The concierge staff member was very enthusiastic and provided great emotional support. Chen from the front desk was also very proactive in helping me with various issues. The first obvious drawback is that the facilities are old. The furnishings are several years old, and the surfaces of the furniture and appliances are mottled and rusted. The TV is also too small. The second drawback: after swimming, I left my beach shoes and swimsuit to dry on the balcony. I collected my swimsuit the next day but forgot the beach shoes. I didn't remember them after checking out, and only realized the next day that they were missing. Chen from the front desk actively contacted housekeeping, but was told they weren't found, and no new guests had checked into the room yet. Fearing I might have forgotten, I checked my luggage at home and still couldn't find them. It's highly likely the shoes were treated as abandoned items by the cleaning staff on the balcony. Such a shame!

Facilities: I found the facilities to be quite new. Although it's not a newly opened hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. Cleanliness: Excellent cleanliness! Both the rooms and public areas were spotless. Environment: The environment goes without saying – a fantastic location directly across from Coconut Dream Corridor. This is my third trip to Sanya and my second stay at Pullman. It's also very close to the airport, and you can get great photos whether it's sunset or morning, right from the hotel. Service: The service truly impressed me this time. As a returning guest, I already had a positive impression, but I didn't expect the service to be even better than last time. A big thank you to our butler, Kevin, and Libby, the welcome ambassador I met during check-out. Butler Kevin proactively contacted me before I even arrived in Hainan to ask about my room preferences and note down any requests. Upon landing, he again proactively contacted me to confirm my check-in time and upgraded my room. He also sent useful hotel information like breakfast times and locations, and other important notes. While I've stayed in hotels before, saving the time of calling to confirm details really showed their attentiveness. I've been abroad and stayed in so-called 'butler service' hotels in Thailand that cost thousands, but comparing them, I now truly understand what real butler service is. Libby provided a pleasant surprise during check-out. I had left my phone and needed a new room card. Libby specially took the time to accompany me back up to retrieve my phone and then escorted me back down. She proactively asked about my onward travel plans, and upon learning I was heading to MGM for another stay, she offered to contact that hotel to facilitate my check-in process, which was a great service enhancement. Finally, I was informed through the butler that my room had been upgraded again and fruit was prepared. This service greatly enhanced my overall travel experience, especially during peak season when crowds can often impact the experience. Perhaps in an era where Sanya is often associated with rip-offs and 'avoid at all costs' posts on mobile networks, this kind of service gives me a reason to return to Sanya a fourth and fifth time. And next time, I'll still choose to stay at Pullman! Many thanks again to Kevin and Libby ❤️

We booked a family suite at the grand mercury but the suite was on the third floor, which made it very hard for us and our 1 year old to access and we weren’t really feeling the vibe of the suite. However, a concierge named Kiki came over and went out of her way to make us comfortable. Even though the entire hotel was very full and busy, she found us a huge suite, added two extra beds for our daughters to sleep separately, brought all kinds of fruits and drink every day and checked on us constantly during our entire stay. Even though the hotel is a bit dated, the hotel’s ancient style architecture, gardens, ponds and the style is something to be mesmerized by. You have a heated children’s pool and two big full size pools at both wings. The hotel stands in the center of the Baihua market like a gigantic Chinese temple, therefore, the location makes everything so convenient. Our what to have been an average stay was quickly fulfilled and transformed into smiles because of Kiki’s service and set a high standard for us on how hotels should treat their guests. If you stay there, ask for Kiki and you’re all set.

Drove across the sea to Haikou and stayed at the Sheraton – super convenient location! It's just a few minutes' drive from the duty-free shop and Yuanda Shopping Plaza, making shopping and errands incredibly easy. The room was clean and quiet, the service was great, and parking was a breeze. It was my first time in Haikou, and I understand it can be busy during Chinese New Year. The weather in Haikou is truly amazing 😌.

This is NOT an advertisement! This hotel has the absolute best service I've ever experienced! Every question was answered instantly. They provided clear and detailed information on activities, restaurants, services, and pricing. On the first day, we arrived late and they upgraded our room. They constantly reminded us about upcoming fireworks, to close windows and doors at night due to mosquitoes, and even proactively asked if we needed a late check-out or a new room key. Later, they upgraded our breakfast to the Horizon Restaurant. In the evening, they waited until we were back in our room to deliver a fruit platter – not just a basic fruit plate, but a lovely selection of mini bananas, strawberries, grapes, and tangerines. Even with so many guests, the service felt so personalized, almost like a one-on-one nanny! It left a deep impression! Secondly, the pool is absolutely gorgeous! It's only 1.5 meters deep at its deepest, and they even provide swim rings, which was a lifesaver for me, a non-swimmer! After swimming, you can soak in the hot pool nearby – it's incredibly comfortable; I almost fell asleep! The hot cocoa at the adjacent cocoa shop is very smooth and delicious. I loved the coffee chocolate I tried for the first time and bought a few as gifts. The crispy beef at the Chinese restaurant on the third floor was also delicious, exceeding my expectations! Overall, the entire stay was incredibly comfortable. Whether it was the front desk, gift shop, beverage shop, restaurants, pool, or beach bar, the service was unbelievably good throughout. Plus, Wanning's bar street is so much fun, with great music and energetic crowds – ten times better than the bars in Shanghai! I definitely want to come back again; it was such a joyful trip!!

Traveling to Hainan in the winter off-season? Wanning is my top pick! I flew over from Beijing with my parents, and after comparing many options, I finally chose the Westin Shimei Bay, one of the '100 Most Beautiful' hotels globally. Turns out, I made the right choice. The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were awestruck. The high ceilings and wooden structures created an amazing play of light and shadow. Even my dad, who usually dislikes going out, eagerly pulled my mom to take photos, saying it was more enjoyable than visiting attractions. Our butler, Mile, contacted us proactively right after booking. She helped us arrange a sea-view room and thoughtfully informed us about nearby free walking trails and sunrise times. The breakfast spread was extensive; my dad's favorite Cantonese dim sum and my mom's beloved freshly squeezed juices were all available. Every detail was taken care of. The sea at Shimei Bay is much quieter than Sanya. Strolling along the hotel's private beach, enjoying the sea breeze and sunshine, my parents kept saying, 'This trip was so worth it.' Coming to Hainan in February, choosing Wanning and this hotel is definitely a perfect choice for traveling with elderly parents!

To be honest, the hotel has great bones, with a prime beachfront location. It's just a shame about the lack of attention to detail. The bed was old and worn; a previous review said it looked like it was bought from a second-hand market, and that's not an exaggeration. Luckily, I had set my expectations before checking in. The air conditioning vents, ceiling, and smoke detectors were all covered in a thick layer of dust. And the sponges on the outdoor breakfast chairs were truly an eyesore. I've never run a hotel, but if I were the owner, I'd replace all of it – it shouldn't be that expensive, right? Given the incredible sea view and the excellent butler service, I'm giving it five stars. I hope they continue to improve.

Staying at the Meijiao Lizhi Hotel was an amazing experience! The location is fantastic, with convenient transportation nearby. It was super easy to get to Dongpo Old Pier, enjoy local 'old man's tea' and snacks, and catch the Chinese New Year performances. After a late night out, coming back to the hotel for a comforting bowl of late-night noodles was such a warm and healing touch. The service was thoughtful, and getting around was a breeze. Staying here during Chinese New Year truly filled me with happiness!

LLuotaishuRodri, our butler, provided incredibly thoughtful service. I honestly thought it was a sweet young lady, but when I met him, I realized he was a gentle young man. My apologies for the stereotype! Rodri was almost always responsive and incredibly efficient, with strong execution skills. So whenever we had a problem, he was the first person we thought of, and he almost always found a solution. The Shangri-La was the second hotel on my trip. When we checked in, it might have been peak time, but the lobby staff seemed a bit overworked, and the kids' club staff were quite stiff, which left me feeling a bit disappointed, thinking the first hotel was more welcoming. However, my opinion slowly started to change after Rodri had a package I'd sent ahead delivered directly to my room without me even needing to ask. The friendliness of the staff at Xi restaurant and the poolside Western restaurant further improved my impression of the Shangri-La, and the small surprises on ***** New Year's Eve added even more to the experience. The children spent every day happily playing outdoors on the large lawn, which perfectly met my expectation of them being outside as much as possible during the day. The resort experience was also good. If I had to suggest an improvement, I'd say the environment and facilities at the pet paradise could be enhanced.

GGuest UserThis JW Marriott and Autograph Collection are in the same complex, so staying at either allows you to enjoy the bar and pool of the other. Here's my review of the JW: **Service:** Excellent, a definite five-star-plus rating. After booking, a guest butler added me on WeChat. Upon check-in, Lydia assisted me, and my ocean-view room reservation was upgraded (I'm not sure if this was related to my Marriott Platinum status). Throughout my stay, I could simply contact them via WeChat for any requests, which was very convenient. **Facilities:** Good. Although it's not a brand-new hotel, it meets JW standards. The swimming pool is large and impressive. **Dining:** The breakfast spread is extensive and available until 11 AM. I highly recommend the Hou'an noodles. **Views and Activities:** As a resort hotel, the experience was wonderful. I won't go into details here; just look at the pictures. Overall, it was excellent. I'll definitely bring my children back next time!

ZZuimeidexiaoluoThe hotel's location is excellent, less than a 5-minute walk from 68 Global Food City, and CDF is only a 10-minute walk away. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to and from the airport and duty-free shop. The scenery is beautiful, with palm groves and a private beach. You can enjoy a vast view of palm trees and the ocean right from your balcony. [Strong][Strong][Strong] The room size is super spacious and well-ventilated. The toilet and shower are separate, and there are two sinks, which is very convenient. The hot water pressure is great, making for a very comfortable shower. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious. Both the elderly and children in our family loved it. The best part was having a dedicated butler named Xigua (Watermelon) 🍉. He was incredibly respectful of our boundaries, never intruding but always available to respond to and fulfill our needs, which made us feel very comfortable. He deserves special thanks and praise. We will definitely come back if we have the chance next time! [Happy][Rose][Rose]

GGuest UserAn unparalleled experience! The hotel was grand in every aspect, making us feel right at home. We booked a Royal Club King Room, and it came with a complimentary afternoon tea upgrade. Since we missed the evening 'Sweet Hour', the butler, a lovely and kind young lady, graciously offered us afternoon tea for the following day instead. She was incredibly thoughtful and meticulous, providing us with all the necessary timings and important tips. **Facilities:** The TV felt a bit small for a Royal Club room. **Cleanliness:** Exceptionally clean. The bathtub didn't even need a liner, and the bath towels and hand towels were all very soft. The hotel provided two large and one small blue pool slippers, plus two large and one small white disposable slippers. **Service:** After our first swim, the bathrobes got completely soaked. The hotel promptly provided two extra sets, which was very efficient. **Location:** It's in a prime spot in Haitang Bay, about 1.8 kilometers from the CDF Duty-Free City.

The hotel arranged many fun activities for children, making it very suitable for families with kids. On the morning of ***** New Year's Day, there was a lively lion and dragon dance performance. But what impressed me most was the service from our butler, Fiona, which was nothing short of perfect. Whether it was communicating our needs or handling other matters, she was always on call, enthusiastic and thoughtful, significantly enhancing our stay.

LLost_in_the_JungleLet me first say, hotels are always looking for a good review, but I will only give a good review if I honestly feel they deserve it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Qixian~ the resort grounds are absolutely stunning. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised to discover that the resort has been thoughtfully designed to feel part of the rainforest. Everywhere you look there are giant boulders, gurgling clear streams, ancient trees and hidden trails that make you feel you are walking deep in a forest. All you hear are the birds and the water rushing in the streams! We have travelled all over China, and this is the quietest, most authentic feeling nature spot we have ever experienced. In addition, there are so many hot springs you can choose to relax in, or you can use the hot spring attached to your balcony! The restaurant has a good variety and we liked everything we ordered, it was fresh and flavorful, we tried the pork ribs and braised tofu, both delicious, but the green coconut filled buns were a perfect ending! The lobby staff was friendly and helpful, and gave us all kinds of upgrades! You can get pickup on the carts anytime, but we preferred to walk and enjoy the beauty, the resort grounds feel huge, but honestly its well designed so you can reach any spot in 5-10 minutes. Also, they have all kinds of activities you can join. We really enjoyed the rainforest walk, the lady from the Li family that conducted the walk was so lovely, we could tell she really had a connection to the forest and just radiated joy as she showed us all the plants, it was one of the highlights of our stay! Our room was clean, the sheets were soft and the bed was comfortable. The view onto the palm forest was so relaxing to look at as we soaked in the spring. The infinity pool was spectacular, the setting is gorgeous and peaceful. The coconuts and dessert we ordered were really good, however, the drinks we ordered were awful and maybe they can get some more outgoing staff to work at the pool bar, maybe because it was winter time and less people are at the pool? Breakfast is served in a building that overlooks the river, there is ALL kinds of food, if you are a Westerner you can find fried eggs, toast, and pastries. But I recommend going to the area where fresh rice noodle is made for you on the spot, add toppings and fried eggs, it was delicious! There are some rustic areas to the resort- it feels a bit abandoned in areas, like its just too big to keep up with ie. Giant empty pools, some of the buildings look in desperate need of refurbishing, but overall we felt like the resort was truly beautiful and amenities really made this a great value for the price we paid. We are already planning to come back when we need a break from the city!

MMihujiangailvyouThis was my second stay at the Guoguang, and I stayed for 3 days. My last visit was back in 2018, so 8 years have passed. This time, I had the same room and room type as before – a sea view room directly facing the ocean, and the scenery is absolutely stunning, no filters needed. The hotel offers many free parent-child activities, with several sessions daily. Parents on family trips can book activities for the next day one day in advance. **Service:** Excellent. They contacted me in advance to confirm my check-in time and any special requests, and adding them on WeChat made communication easy. A big thank you to KAY for the warm welcome! Knowing we had to leave at 5:30 AM on our last day, she reminded us to tell the front desk the day before so they could pack breakfast for us. **Environment:** It's an older five-star hotel, but its strength lies in the ocean views and convenient transportation; getting to the airport is very easy. **Facilities:** The hotel decor is the same as before. After all this time, it's inevitably a bit dated, but considering the value for money and the service, it's acceptable. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the duty-free city. If you plan to go, remember to book it early the day before, especially during peak tourist season when many people go.
