An Unforgettable New Year's Stay at Central Coast Sea View Hotel, Sanya
We spent four incredible nights at the Central Coast Sea View Hotel in Sanya (December 31 - January 4), and it was the perfect way to ring in the New Year. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special.
Our room was absolutely awesome (Smart suite)– spacious, beautifully appointed, and offering stunning ocean views that made every morning feel like a treat. The entire hotel experience exceeded our expectations with their consistently high-level service throughout our stay.
Special mention must go to Levi from the hotel reception team, who was exceptionally helpful and attentive to our needs.
The tour service desk also deserves praise for their outstanding assistance in helping us make the most of our time in Sanya.
The hotel's location is another major plus – it's conveniently close to numerous shops and the Sanya One Mall, Sanya Bay, making it easy to explore the area and do some shopping whenever we wanted.
The hotel's amenities were fantastic. With two pools plus a breathtaking infinity pool. The infinity pool, in particular, provided a mesmerizing experience with its seamless views. The children's play area was wonderful – my daughter absolutely loved it and spent hours enjoying the facilities.
This was truly a memorable New Year's celebration, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to create these special family memories. Highly recommended for families looking for a perfect blend of luxury, service, and family-friendly amenities in Sanya.

The biggest drawback is how small the room is; there's barely enough space to open your luggage. The exterior looks really grand and luxurious, but the room layouts are quite poor, and the rooms are genuinely tiny.
Service: It was decent; they even upgraded my room.
Otherwise, there are only three hotels on the island, and given my budget, I chose this mid-range one.
Overall: The small room size is a significant downside, but the accompanying services are good.

Atlantis Sanya Hotel Stay Review
I've long dreamt of staying at the Atlantis Sanya, a fantastical landmark perched on Haitang Bay. Just catching a glimpse of its iconic ”Poseidon Tower” from afar instantly ignited my vacation excitement. This time, I finally took my family during the holidays, and not only did we immerse ourselves in the wondrous underwater world, but we were also incredibly touched by the super attentive service, making our entire stay truly blissful.
Upon entering the hotel, the first thing that caught my eye was the gigantic seahorse sculpture. Its dynamic form, coupled with dazzling lights, immediately created an immersive ocean-themed atmosphere. I couldn't resist pausing to snap several photos. Stepping further in, the lobby was even more stunning – a colossal aquarium teeming with colorful tropical fish, a dome adorned with blue lights resembling deep-sea reflections, and even the floor tiles subtly designed with wave patterns. Every snapshot felt like it belonged in a magazine. Right after checking in, we headed straight to the theater for the C Show. The aquatic stunts, aerial silks, and ocean-themed storyline on stage perfectly blended together, with dazzling lights and spectacular performances that captivated both adults and children, leaving everyone thoroughly thrilled.
Our ocean-view twin room was a real gem, offering double the surprise as soon as we opened the door: one side showcased the lively scene of roller coasters zipping through the Aquaventure Waterpark, while the other presented the calming vista where the azure sea merged with the skyline. Waking up to the sound of waves in the morning and watching the park lights illuminate the night sky in the evening was incredibly relaxing. The thoughtful details in the room were also heartwarming: children's toothbrushes and slippers were already laid out, the soft bedding was comfortable against the skin, a footstool was provided at the vanity for little ones, and complimentary sodas were supplied in the mini-fridge, restocked daily.
The entire hotel felt like a shopping mall, offering everything from dining and entertainment to shopping (Hainan specialties, Pop Mart, BaWangChaJi, ice cream, popcorn, and other shops). Guests staying at the hotel enjoyed unlimited access to the aquarium and waterpark. In ”The Lost Chambers” Aquarium, we wandered through underwater tunnels, watching sharks swim overhead, as if transported to a mysterious underwater kingdom. Although we didn't try the thrilling rides at the waterpark, feeding the stingrays and letting the children float down the lazy river multiple times were all incredibly enjoyable.
The hotel also gifted us 5 free travel photoshoots. After booking a time with the staff in advance, the photographer guided us through various poses, and the final results were outstanding. The staff member who helped us choose the photos was very helpful, offering suggestions when I was indecisive, and ultimately helped me select a cost-effective package.
Our butler, Ivy, was an absolute treasure. The day before our arrival, she proactively added me on WeChat, reminded me of the hotel's activity routes and the C Show schedule, and even presented us with a pair of adorable whale plushies as a welcome gift. My children adored them and kept asking for another pair. I hesitantly messaged Ivy, and to my surprise, she quickly delivered another pair. Throughout our stay, whether it was for information or room service, Ivy always responded instantly, truly acting as our dedicated and attentive personal butler.
The service from our room attendant, Li Chunmiao, was even more meticulous and touching. Every day when we returned from our outings, the room was spotless, the bed made perfectly, and even the children's scattered toys were neatly organized. She also thoughtfully gave us an extra pair of whale plushies. She specifically noticed that we were using chairs to block the bed, worried about the children falling off during sleep, so she proactively brought and installed a child bed rail, making sure it was stable before leaving.
While luxurious hardware is the foundation, it's the supremely thoughtful service that truly defines the soul of Atlantis. Many thanks to butler Ivy and room attendant Li Chunmiao for their dedicated efforts. Next time we visit Sanya, we will definitely choose to stay here again!

The room is spacious, and the mattress is just right—not too soft, which is great for anyone with back issues. The hotel is quite close to Wuyuanhe Stadium and even closer to the beach. You can hear the sound of the waves at night, which is really soothing and helps with sleep. Breakfast is also pretty good with lots of options. They even have robots delivering room service now, which is a nice touch! 👍 The butler service was excellent too, very proactive in resolving any issues. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.

The service here deserves full marks! Every staff member I encountered was incredibly enthusiastic. Our butler, Coco, was very responsive to all our questions and proactively offered help. The room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm—which made for a fantastic night's sleep. From check-in to check-out, there was absolutely nothing to complain about; the whole experience was excellent.

We chose to spend New Year's Eve here with my wife, and this hotel truly has a unique charm and comfort, thanks to its rainforest surroundings and hot springs. Inside the hotel, you can leisurely stroll along rainforest paths, and from your room's balcony, you can soak in a hot spring pool. The constant chirping of countless birds and the soothing sound of the stream, day and night, create a peaceful atmosphere.
The hotel is definitely not luxurious or bustling, but it offers a welcoming, home-like ambiance. When we arrived, an elegant lady greeted us at the entrance, helped us with our luggage, and directed us to parking. Her demeanor made it hard to believe she was a concierge staff member. During the New Year's Eve celebration, there was a ceremony where a jar of wine, buried in the forest, was unearthed and personally uncorked and shared by the hotel's general manager. That's when we realized the lady who greeted us was indeed the general manager! A hotel where the GM acts as a concierge, and does it so naturally, must be special!
However, the hotel also had some... unique staff members. For our New Year's Eve dinner, we ordered a roasted suckling pig. After waiting forty minutes with no sign of it, a seemingly authoritative male waiter told us it would take a bit longer, about ten minutes. With it being New Year's Eve and so many people, I completely understood. But then we waited for another hour. Fortunately, we finally ate it in 2025, and we were still happy. When we checked out, a female manager gave us a discount, but that male waiter seemed displeased. The next day, for New Year's dinner, I still wanted to try the hotel restaurant. Upon entering, we ran into the same male waiter from last year, who said there were no tables and we'd have to wait twenty minutes. I asked if the food would still be slow, and he said it would be very slow. So, we decided to get a taxi from the lobby entrance to eat outside the hotel. A white-haired older 'bellhop' who was helping us get a taxi said, 'If you want Li family cuisine, we have excellent food here.' I said, 'You don't have any space!' He replied, 'Come, come, I'll arrange something for you.' He led us in, and a table was immediately about to open up! I could tell he was definitely a leader!
The story doesn't end there. The next day, for breakfast, the host at the entrance was again that same male waiter we had seemingly offended. He tried to seat us by a pillar! Even though there were clearly seats by the window! We didn't bother arguing and just sat ourselves at a window seat. There was nobody there!
I've rambled on for so long, but it just goes to show that while an entire team strives, they can often be held back by a few individuals.
I'll definitely come back to this hotel for the hot springs if I get the chance. Why bother going to Japan for a hot spring?

I checked into the hotel in the middle of the night. Tired, I found the winding corridors seemingly endless, and the room felt damp when I finally got in (later I realized this is common in seaside cities, especially here right by the sea). I had to call staff to adjust the air conditioning, and after that, the air quality improved significantly. My initial impression of the hotel had plummeted. However, on the second day, experiencing the hotel's outdoor environment, the pool, and the children's play facilities, my opinion slowly began to improve. When I went out, a staff member called to ask what time they could deliver fruit and if I needed room cleaning, inquiring about a convenient time... their gentle demeanor further boosted my positive feelings. Walking across the hotel's ground-floor lawn (which was very clean, beautiful, and photo-worthy) to the beach was incredibly close and convenient. The surrounding food options were also good. After two days, I found myself liking it more and more. They even offered afternoon tea, simple but thoughtful, with a live singer in the afternoon. Sitting there, feeling the breeze and sipping coffee, was quite pleasant. Later, when I moved to a different area and stayed at other hotels, the saying 'no comparison, no harm' truly applied; I still preferred this place.

The hotel is a bit old, and as expected, the facilities show their age. However, the garden and pool are well-maintained and perfectly usable. The rooms are a great advantage, offering spaciousness and excellent value for money. The hotel's location is superb, with convenience stores and various restaurants nearby! Access to the beach via an underpass is also very convenient. Our butler, Vivi, was quick to respond and very attentive to guests. This hotel is particularly suitable for those who prioritize space and enjoying a suite with family. If you're looking for a brand new, luxurious five-star hotel experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

The rooms are generously sized, and the facilities are well-maintained. We especially appreciated the delicious complimentary desserts delivered to our room daily. The swimming pool, water park, and hot springs are fantastic, making it perfect for families with kids. The only minor point for improvement would be the dinner buffet, as the selection and quality of dishes could be better. The complimentary shooting range, which came with our booking, is definitely worth taking the kids to; they had a blast! However, don't bother with the Feng Xiaogang Movie Commune – it's a complete waste of money.

Although the hotel has been open for a while, the facilities and environment are truly exceptional – very clean and tidy. My only minor complaint is that the outdoor pool felt a bit too simple.
The breakfast buffet is huge with an incredible variety of dishes. I stayed two days and still couldn't try everything! The Hainan specialty Hou'an noodles were delicious, and so were the Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes).
Dinner was also excellent. The Hainan yellow beef was very fresh and the quality was good. The Zao Po Cu (vinegar soup) and spicy soup were appetizing and tasty. There was also a live band performing 🎤. It would have been even more perfect if cocktails 🍹 were available. The Wenchang chicken was very fresh.
Service was consistently great. The hotel offers many adult activities, but you definitely need to book them in advance, as it's very difficult to get a spot by booking on the same day.
I had a wonderful trip. The hotel had a full itinerary of activities, and the scenery was beautiful. Special thanks to our butler, Mile, for their thoughtful service, including preparing fruit and a small cake. The activity arrangements and bookings were very reliable. 👍

CChaohuaxishiThis hotel is absolutely worth a visit! I'd recommend booking two days because one day feels a bit rushed. It can take up to 15 minutes by buggy to get from the lobby to your room. It's more convenient to book a room near the Hai Kuo Tian Kong Thai restaurant (Peacock, Wild Goose, and a few other room types are in this area – I've forgotten some, but you can ask the front desk for exact details). This way, breakfast and dinner are close by. Otherwise, each trip out can take 20 minutes (including waiting for the buggy), which really eats into your time. The hotel also has an adorable petting zoo (I loved it!) with cats, alpacas, little pigs, and many other small animals that you can interact with for free. Finally, a big thank you to Manager Sun for her thoughtful service. She was always helpful and responded promptly and thoroughly every time I needed something or was coming and going!

LLuoliyue92I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya for 4 nights with my parents and child, and everyone absolutely loved it! This hotel is definitely a hidden gem for a family vacation.
📍 **Excellent Location:** It's super close to the beach, and some rooms even offer direct sea views. It's only a 10-minute drive to the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, which is incredibly convenient for those who love to shop. Wuzhizhou Island pier is also not far, making it easy to hail a taxi.
🛏️ **Room Experience:** Since I was traveling with my parents and child, I opted for the Horizon Club. The Horizon Club offers access to an executive lounge with not only breakfast but also afternoon tea and dinner, which was incredibly convenient. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the balcony offered stunning sea views. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with children's toiletries and a children's step stool. There's also a sofa bed in the room, which you can ask the butler to set up in advance – perfect for a family of four.
🍽️ **Satisfying Dining:** The main restaurant's breakfast spread was incredibly rich with a huge variety of options, including freshly squeezed watermelon and cantaloupe juice. To my surprise, there was even a dedicated kids' area! It offered not only dishes suitable for children like wontons, congee, pasta, steamed buns, and fried snacks, but also finely cut fruits and vegetables, showing great consideration for little ones. My child absolutely loved it.
The Horizon Club executive lounge was also fantastic. Besides afternoon tea, they have an evening happy hour with different hot dishes each day. They also offered non-spicy vegetable and meat dishes, as well as fried noodles and rice, suitable for children. Everything tasted great.
🎪 **Abundant Children's Activities:** There are tons of parent-child activities every day, along with unlimited free rides on the mini-train. We participated in a dragon fruit sushi-making class, which was a wonderful experience, and my child had an absolute blast.
The hotel also has an adventure zone, a petting zoo, and you can even ride ponies and ostriches, which the kids really enjoyed.
The water park is also large and clean. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly when we visited, so we didn't go in, but it would be perfect for warmer weather.
💫 **Five-Star Service:** The hotel service was absolutely superb. Romy checked us in, and she was incredibly kind. She helped us resolve a breakfast issue and personally escorted us to the shuttle bus stop after check-in. Our luggage was also delivered directly to our room by a dedicated staff member – super nice.
This vacation was incredibly satisfying, and I will definitely choose Shangri-La again the next time I visit Sanya!
MM1ruk84q6****The service at your hotel was truly impressive. From the moment I stepped into the lobby and received a warm greeting, every detail showcased professionalism and dedication. The rooms were meticulously cleaned, the food was excellent, and the staff consistently had a smile on their faces, always ready to assist. Whether it was the thoughtful advice from the concierge or the prompt restocking by housekeeping, I highly recommend this hotel.

MM439201****I'm absolutely captivated by the JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay after this stay! The hotel's facilities and environment are superb, with beautiful scenery everywhere. The open-plan design seamlessly integrates the mountain and sea views. Guest relations executive Youzi was online throughout my stay, proactively contacting me to arrange the room, answering all my questions during check-in, and even thoughtfully decorating the room. Her responses were incredibly prompt, and her attentiveness was top-notch. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room was spotless. It was spacious and bright, and the bathroom amenities felt luxurious, making for a very reassuring stay. The public areas are gorgeous, and the outdoor beachfront lawn is perfect for stunning photos. From the service to the hardware, everything was on point. I'll definitely be back!

MM41081****The sea at Haitang Bay is indeed more beautiful than at Yalong Bay!
The hotel bed was very comfortable; this old-school five-star still holds up! My mom has some mobility issues, and the front desk arranged a room close to the elevator for us. The live singer at night was excellent! We even had the good fortune to be invited to a romantic wedding of a newlywed couple.
If I had to mention any downsides, the breakfast taste and variety were really quite subpar, and the elevators were incredibly slow!

SShunqizirandetuziDue to my limited time, I ultimately chose the Grand Hyatt among the many hotels in Haitang Bay, and it was my first stay here. Although my three-day trip was short, it left a lasting impression, and I now realize my choice of hotel was absolutely perfect.
First, when I booked, I specifically called to request the highest floor available for my room type. Upon arrival, the check-in took a bit longer, possibly due to a large number of guests in the afternoon. While speaking with the front desk, I learned I had been assigned a 12th-floor suite. They asked if I needed a travel photoshoot. I casually asked if I could exchange it for afternoon tea or cocktails instead, not really expecting much, but to my surprise, the front desk readily agreed to give me a bottle of red wine.
I was immediately struck by the breathtaking view as soon as I entered the room – a wide, unobstructed ocean view. The room was well-equipped and very comfortable. My butler, MAX, was incredibly thoughtful, sending a welcome message and hotel information, and he was always quick and accurate in responding to my questions.
The hotel's landscaping is also beautiful. If you don't feel like venturing out, you can simply stroll around the grounds, or take a pleasant walk by the sea. The breakfast is extensive, but it can get quite crowded during peak hours; an alternative is the smaller restaurant in the North Tower. The 68 Food Street, right next to the hotel, is also worth a visit. After hearing my suggestions and feedback on my stay, the hotel even arranged a car to take me to the high-speed train station, which was a very thoughtful touch.
