Shenyu Ancient Town is located 30 kilometers southwest of Yuzhou City. It is the birthplace of the famous Jun porcelain culture at home and abroad. It is the main production area and distribution center of ceramics in northern China. . Shenlong got its name from Jun porcelain and prospered because of ceramics. The word "Shenlong" has been conferred by four emperors and became famous. Jun porcelain culture is an important part and typical representative of Central Plains culture. Shenyu Old Street is commonly known as "Qili Long Street". Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, with the prosperity of the ceramics industry, many wealthy businessmen have purchased fields, built houses, and engaged in business here, and the five villages have gradually been connected together, forming the town of Shenya, which has begun to take shape. It consists of four ancient villages in the south and north. From east to west, there are East Street, West Street, Baiyitang Street, Hongshiqiao Street, Guanyemiao Street and other streets. There are many shops on both sides of the road. The complete ones include Bolingweng Temple, Dengyu Building, Wen Family Courtyard, Bai Family Courtyard, Wang Family Courtyard, Huo Family Courtyard, Miao Family Courtyard, Miao Family Ancestral Hall, etc. There are towers, ancient dwellings, and temples. The monuments witness the prosperity of the town. Walking through the town of Shenga, the ancient streets and the row upon row of old houses seem to bring people back to a distant era. From these buildings, people also witness the glory of the town in the past. "Entering Shenlong Mountain, you can see the ten-mile-long street, seventy-two kilns, fireworks cover the sky, merchants walk everywhere, and every day they make money." At the same time, Shenlong Ancient Town is also the prototype of the TV series "Children of the River" Fengling Village.Yuzhou · 23.8 km from downtown

Xuchang Museum is a medium-sized local comprehensive museum with more than 12,000 cultural relics, including bronzes, pottery, porcelain, jade, calligraphy and painting, and stone carvings. Most of them are from the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period, especially the stone carvings and pottery from the Han Dynasty. Chang Museum is large in scale, majestic, with novel architecture, simple and elegant. The layout is symmetrical from north to south with Wenfeng Tower as the central axis. The exhibition area adopts a "U"-shaped plane architectural pattern, forming two quadrangles: the sightseeing area is connected by a long corridor with pavilions, platforms, towers and pavilions. The entire building is a single-eaved rolled-roof antique building with white walls, gray tiles, red painted columns, flying eaves and corners, which are scattered and well-arranged, forming a perfect antique building group that integrates Suzhou gardens and northern quadrangles. It has both the exquisiteness, beauty and exquisiteness of southern architecture and the strength, dignity and strictness of northern architecture, which are in harmony with the ancient tower and complement each other. Han Dynasty portrait art is one of the collection features of Xuchang Museum. Its categories include exquisite stone carvings and molded and fired portrait bricks. The exhibition is divided into indoor portrait brick and stone exquisite display and outdoor portrait stone gallery exhibition area. Xuchang Han Dynasty paintings are relatively late, and most of them are works from the late Eastern Han Dynasty. The portraits are detailed, mostly flat reliefs with negative lines or shallow reliefs with positive lines. The lines are simple, clear, vigorous and powerful; the themes are mostly auspicious birds and beasts, exotic flowers and trees, chariots and horses, hunting, architecture, etc.; the portraits pursue the spirit, and the images are vivid and lifelike, showing the individual characteristics of Xuchang Han Dynasty paintings. Xuchang Han Dynasty paintings represent a leap forward in the development of Han Dynasty paintings, representing the artistic achievements of paintings in the late Han Dynasty, and have certain historical and artistic values. In addition, there are also collections of coins from various dynasties. The collections are of a long time, wide range, large quantity, and complete categories, showing the evolution and development of Chinese currency from various dynasties, and reflecting the economic development of China in different social periods.Xuchang · 388m from downtown

The "Yuzhou Jun Official Kiln Site Museum" located in Jun, Yuzhou City, is a special museum dedicated to Jun porcelain. Jun porcelain is a treasure among Chinese ceramics and one of the five famous kiln porcelains in the Song Dynasty. It is famous for its colorful glaze, simple and elegant style, and kiln-changing art of "one color in the kiln, thousands of colors out of the kiln". It is not only favored by the people, but also favored by the court at that time, and the Jun kiln was monopolized as an official kiln and became a royal porcelain product. Every Jun kiln product preserved to this day is priceless. The museum consists of three parts: the main exhibition hall, the Song Dynasty Jun official kiln site exhibition hall, and the Jun porcelain engineering technology research and development center. The main exhibition hall is located to the east of the museum (east of the entrance). Visitors can learn about the history of Yuzhou and the development history of local ceramics in the main exhibition hall, especially the characteristics of Jun official kiln items in the Song Dynasty, the environment and production process of Jun kiln items, and learn a lot of relevant knowledge about identifying Jun kilns. The exhibition hall contains a "double-fire chamber" Jun porcelain kiln furnace from the Song Dynasty Jun official kiln site, a "down-flame kiln" Jun porcelain kiln furnace, Song Dynasty Jun official kiln porcelain fragment specimens, Song and Yuan Dynasty folk kiln Jun porcelain fragment specimens, as well as some blue and white, shadow blue porcelain fragment specimens, etc., as well as modern Jun porcelain boutiques and Jun porcelain pottery. To the west of the entrance is the Song Dynasty Jun Official Kiln Site Exhibition Hall and the Jun Porcelain Engineering Technology Research and Development Center. The Song Dynasty Jun Official Kiln Site Exhibition Hall displays the complete porcelain workshop of the Song Dynasty official Jun porcelain kiln. The site was discovered in 1964 and is very important for porcelain archaeological work. Visitors can learn about the production of Jun porcelain, participate in the production experience and learn about ancient ceramics at the "Jun Porcelain Engineering Technology Research and Development Center" next to the site. Today, the research and development center has successfully built a liquefied gas Jun porcelain kiln and produced a batch of Jun porcelain treasures, which are collected by the Palace Museum, the Great Hall of the People, and the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. The museum also provides Guide Guide services for tourists. You can apply for Guide Guide services at the service center in the front hall, or rent a Audio Guide. The fee for the Guide is 20 yuan per device, and a deposit of 100 yuan and your ID card are required.Yuzhou · 3.1 km from downtown

It is named after Su Shi's poem "Even though the West Lake is small, it is also the West." The place where Cao Cao trained his navy during the Three Kingdoms period. Song Du Huangcheng Cultural Tourism Resort is located in the northern part of the old city of Kaifeng, precisely on the site of the imperial palace of the Northern Song Dynasty's Dongjing city. The millennium-old central axis of Kaifeng runs through this area, making it the core zone of the royal culture of the Song Dynasty. Here, you can find the Song-style imperial architecture of the Longting attraction, the tales of the Yang Family Generals at Tianbo Yang's residence, and the calligraphic steles of Han Yuan Stele Forest. The Shuanglong Lane historical and cultural block, 960 Cultural and Creative Park, and Qisheng Corner have transformed old streets and courtyards into Song-style blocks perfect for leisurely exploration. The resort also connects a series of Song culture attractions: Wansui Mountain Great Song Martial Arts City stages year-round martial arts live shows and intangible cultural heritage iron fireworks, while historic sites like the Iron Pagoda, Kaifeng city wall, Zhouqiao and Bian River ruins, Shanshangan Guild Hall, Yanqing Taoist Temple, and Fan Pagoda are scattered across the old city, along with niche spots like the underground wartime grain storage. These places are hard to cover in one day, so we recommend focusing on two or three key sites. After dark, a different experience awaits as the attractions light up in unison. Boarding a painted pleasure boat on the Great Song Imperial River to watch the illuminated pavilions and towers sway with the rippling water is a popular nightlife option here.Kaifeng · 96.8 km from Xuchang

The Luoyang Museum was established in 1958 and fully opened to the public on April 16, 2011. It is a comprehensive museum integrating cultural relic collection, exhibition display, and social education. Its collections span the long history of Luoyang as an ancient capital of thirteen dynasties. The main building stands like a giant ding (ritual vessel), symbolizing the "establishment of the capital in Luoyang." Its solemn and majestic facade itself serves as a popular photo backdrop. The large-scale permanent exhibition "Heluo civilization" unfolds along the timeline of prehistoric times, the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties, the Han and Wei dynasties, the Sui and Tang dynasties, and the Five Dynasties and Northern Song period, connecting thousands of years of Luoyang's capital history into a complete viewing experience. The treasure hall on the second floor rotates displays of representative artifacts from the collection, including the Cao Wei white jade cup, the Northern Wei clay Buddha face sculpture, and the vividly expressive Northern Wei painted pottery figurine of two women holding hands, affectionately called the "best friends figurine" by visitors, all worth pausing to admire. In the Tang tri-color ceramics hall, the rare and majestic black-glazed tri-color horse and the massive Eastern Han stone artifacts are equally popular. The palace artifacts hall displays Qing Dynasty imperial artifacts transferred from the Forbidden City, including a golden nanmu wood tower carved from a single log and adorned with gilded miniature Buddhas, exuding royal grandeur. The stone carving hall is rustic and imposing, while the Wang Xiu peony art exhibition brings Luoyang peonies into paintings, each showcasing a unique blend of strength and delicacy. You can start your visit from the "Heluo civilization" exhibition and stone carving hall on the first floor, then proceed to the second floor to explore the treasure hall, Tang tri-color glazed pottery hall, and imperial artifacts hall in detail. The treasure hall features rotating exhibitions, and the specific exhibits are subject to the on-site display. A thorough visit typically takes two to three hours, so it is recommended to allocate sufficient time. Luoyang Museum consistently organizes flexible and diverse temporary exhibitions, continuously providing the public with new cultural offerings. It has introduced exotic-themed exhibitions such as "Civilizations of Qin-Han and Rome," "Norwegian style painting exhibition," "African cultural relics and art exhibition," as well as independently curated large-scale temporary exhibitions like "The starting point of the Silk Road - the Silk Road and Luoyang" and "The hub of the Grand Canal - the Grand Canal and Luoyang," enriching the exhibition content and ensuring visitors always find something new. Adhering to its mission of reaching out, Luoyang Museum has independently or collaboratively held cultural relic exchange exhibitions in over 20 countries and regions, including the United States, France, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, and Australia, generating positive impacts both domestically and internationally. Luoyang Museum adheres to the organic integration of collection preservation, scientific research, and social education for balanced development. Practicing a people-oriented service philosophy, it enhances integration and interaction with society while excelling in exhibition reception and educational promotion. The museum actively recruits volunteers passionate about museum education, establishes cooperative units, and extends its reach to communities, schools, rural areas, and military camps to expand its coverage and influence. Additionally, it hosts monthly traditional culture lectures to disseminate heritage knowledge and cultivate museum audiences, achieving remarkable results. Luoyang Museum boasts a team of professionals with high academic standards. It has published numerous works and collections, with over 1,000 papers and representative publications including: "Han tombs at Shaogou in Luoyang," "Luoyang tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang dynasty," "Bronze mirrors unearthed in Luoyang," "Han dynasty murals in Luoyang," "A collection of essays commemorating the 40th anniversary of Luoyang Museum," "Cultural treasures of Luoyang," "The charm of Luoyang—highlights of archaeological achievements in the Heluo region," "A history of the ancient capital Luoyang," "Research on Western Zhou bronze ware," "Heluo civilization," and more, all widely recognized by society and academia. In the era of promoting cultural development and prosperity, Luoyang Museum is bound to play an even greater role in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.China · Luoyang

Shenhou Ancient Town is a living museum of the Central Plains Jun porcelain culture. The "Seven-Li Long Street" where the kiln fire never goes out for a thousand years preserves the ancient villages of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, bluestone roads and rows of Jun porcelain shops. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it once produced imperial porcelain for the imperial court. Strolling along the old street, you can admire the carved beams and painted buildings of the Bolingweng Temple, feel the charm of the Jun porcelain that "goes into the kiln in one color and comes out of the kiln in a myriad of colors", and experience the unique fireworks of the "living ancient town". The commercial atmosphere of the free-to-open ancient town is moderate, the price of porcelain is affordable, and you can also taste the special delicacies such as Shenhou Huoshao and Hele noodles.

If you have the chance to visit Xuchang, don't just stop at Pang Donglai Restaurant and leave. Xuchang's museums are definitely worth seeing. The Xuchang City Museum is a very large museum, but unfortunately, an important floor was under maintenance when I went, so I couldn't see it. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again next time and explore the entire museum.

✨Parent-child tour of Yuzhou Junguan Kiln, a wonderful journey of culture and fun✨ 🎉Some time ago, I took my children to Yuzhou Junguan Kiln. It was really a great parent-child experience and I must share it with you. 🎈The exhibition hall is rich in content Entering the Yuzhou Junguan Kiln Site Museum, it is like opening a thick history book of Jun porcelain. The six exhibition halls of the main exhibition hall have their own characteristics. "Dayu State" allows children to appreciate the long history and splendid culture of Yuzhou; "Bath of Fire for Thousands of Years" traces the development of Yuzhou ceramics, and children have a clear understanding of the development characteristics of Jun kiln in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. In the "Imperial Official Jun" exhibition hall, looking at those exquisite Song Dynasty Junguan Kiln artifacts, I have to sigh at the wisdom and skills of the ancients. The magic of Jun porcelain "one color in the kiln, thousands of colors out of the kiln" makes children stare at it, keep asking questions, and their curiosity is greatly satisfied 🎈Diverse experience activities The museum's Jun porcelain engineering technology research and development center is a favorite of children. Here, children can see the complete process of Jun porcelain production, including throwing, repairing, glazing and other processes, so that they know how difficult it is to make a piece of Jun porcelain. And they can also participate in the production in person, with professional masters guiding them. Children carefully experience the feeling of being a "Jun porcelain craftsman". Watching the Jun porcelain they made by themselves slowly take shape, the sense of accomplishment is almost overflowing. In addition, the museum's study package is also super cost-effective. 59.8 yuan includes six major projects: Jun porcelain hand-throwing, clay sculpture, porcelain painting, sachet DIY, traditional rubbings and Hanfu experience. Each project is guided by professional teachers. Children not only have fun, but also learn a lot of knowledge. The finished works can be taken home for free, which is very memorable. 🎈Good environment and service The museum has a unique architectural style, a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity, and it feels very comfortable to visit it. The hygiene in the museum is well maintained, clean and tidy, providing a good visiting environment for children. The staff are also very enthusiastic and patient. Any questions can be answered in time. The explanations of the guides are vivid and interesting. Not only can the children understand, but even we adults feel that we have benefited a lot. 🎈The surrounding facilities are complete The museum is very convenient for transportation. It is very convenient whether you drive or take public transportation. If you drive, there is a parking lot in the scenic area, and parking is very easy. There is also a Yuzhou intangible cultural heritage food (Yuzhou Thirteen Bowls) and an antique courtyard hotel (Xiyue Courtyard Hotel) around where you can taste local specialties. After visiting the museum, you can also go to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Cultural and Creative Gallery, which has a variety of exquisite handicrafts. The children picked some as gifts for their friends and were very happy. 💕In short, the Yuzhou Junguan Kiln Site Museum is a very suitable place for parent-child travel. It not only allows children to understand the rich knowledge of Jun porcelain culture, but also exercises their hands-on ability through various experience activities, and stimulates creativity and imagination. It is highly recommended to all parents. Be sure to bring your children here to experience the charm of the thousand-year-old Jun porcelain culture.

Xuchang West Lake Park is really a treasure place to visit, it is worth a visit! As soon as you enter the park, the first thing that comes into view is a large expanse of lake water, sparkling, shining like fine gold in the sun. The willows by the lake are swaying in the wind, as if they are dancers of nature. The greening here is very well done, with green grass and colorful flowers. Walking in it, the air is fresh and refreshing. There are also many amusement facilities, including gentle projects such as carousels suitable for children, and roller coasters that allow young people to experience excitement, which can meet the needs of different age groups. There are also many pavilions and towers in the park, which are antique and add a bit of cultural charm to the park. And there are many places for tourists to rest, and the layout is very humane. Walking in it, you can enjoy the natural scenery and feel the strong humanistic atmosphere. Whether it is a family trip or a couple's walk, Xuchang West Lake Park is an excellent choice, which makes people have fun and linger.

Purchasing Tips Authenticity Identification Look for the "Shenhou Jun Porcelain" geographical indication and choose reputable shops or studios (such as "Da Song Guan Yao" and "Kong Jia Jun Yao"). Certificate of authenticity (master's signature, firing date, etc.) is required. Bargaining Tips You can negotiate for ordinary goods (prices in scenic spots are often inflated), but prices for renowned artists are more transparent. Online Channels E-commerce platforms (such as JD.com and Taobao) have official stores with transparent prices, but be mindful of reviews. Livestreaming offers opportunities for bargains, but the risks are higher. On-site Experiences Workshops in Shenhou Ancient Town often offer DIY experiences (such as hand-throwing Jun porcelain) for around 100 yuan, making them suitable for in-depth tours. IV. Precautions Avoid impulsive purchases: Stores near scenic spots may be significantly overpriced, so it's recommended to compare prices frequently. Transportation Risks: Jun porcelain is fragile, so please verify the packaging and after-sales service before purchasing. If you have specific needs (such as for collection or gift giving), please further explain your budget and intended use so we can provide more precise recommendations.

It combines a zoo and an amusement park. Suitable for children under 10. It has everything, but nothing is done exceptionally well. The price-performance ratio isn't high. At least not as good as Qingming Riverside Park or Wansui Mountain Martial Arts City. The food inside is a bit pricey.

The Henan Museum is very large and has a wide variety of exhibits. The guides are detailed and comprehensive, and they clearly explain the stories behind the artifacts. I highly recommend hiring a guide when you visit, as it's easy to rush through things on your own.

Our guide at the Luobo Museum, Mr. Pei, was excellent. He was considerate of the artifact display cases, reminding the children in our group and others to keep a safe distance to avoid obstructing photos or leaving handprints. His explanations were engaging and detailed, although latecomers sometimes interrupted him. Overall, it was a good experience, and we saw all the museum's treasures and popular artifacts within the limited time – definitely worth it.
