3-Star Hotels in Shanghai, China

We booked the South Building, which faces the airport check-in hall. For just over 500 RMB, I wasn't expecting much, just a place to crash for the night before my flight. But to my surprise, the facilities and amenities were incredibly complete! The room was also very spacious; it felt like a high-end hotel from a few years ago. It was clean and hygienic! The only thing was that you could still hear some airplane noise around 11:00 PM, but they thoughtfully provided earplugs in the room, which was a really nice touch.

This was my second stay at the Dihang Hotel, and I'm very happy with the overall room design, especially the murals, which are a highlight – fresh, elegant, and tasteful, I love them! 😍 I'm also very satisfied with the housekeeping staff's attitude; they are diligent, responsible, and patient. However, there was an issue with the bathroom in my room this time: there was a very strong sewage smell coming from the drain that filled the entire room. This is something that needs to be addressed urgently, as it will otherwise negatively impact future stays.

We booked for airport transfer from the hotel via we chat.  They response very quickly.   However the shuttle got problem on the way and could not make it to the airport but they informed us quickly and try to help in every way.    The service and their responsibility are impressive.   During our stay, the front and the bell are very helpful.  They try to help for every request we ask.    They cannot speak English but that was not the problem, with translation equipment, the communication is no more the problem.    The facilities are superb.   Shower with good water flow, easily adjusted.   I really love their shampoo with Sandalwood fragrance, good quality.   We stay in zootopia room.  The room was designed with nice details.     The mattress and blanket are good quality.  They even have massage chair at the lobby, very thoughtful for the long day at Disneyland. The food are mostly Chinese way, but they have some selection for kids and foreigner.    The fried vegetables are tasty, freshly from the family garden in front of the hotel.   Our family enjoy the breakfast. The location is good for the ones who would like to have a touch with local not the city.   Many local restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel.   Easily access to Disneyland.   Their Disney shuttle system via we chat is very effective.   I picked this hotel because they provide many rounds of Disney transfers.    And even we pick other time, taxi is just 18-20 yuan, 10 min away.       The hotel is quite far away from Shanghai city 1+ hours by taxi. But it is in the middle between  city and Shanghai astronomy museum, which suits us well.     Thanks all staffs for the hospitality.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and the service is excellent. It's very convenient for Pudong Airport. The hygiene is also good, and it offers great value for money. The free airport shuttle is a huge plus. Very satisfied! 👍

The room was clean and comfortable overall, and the location was excellent. Within a few hundred meters, there were plenty of places to eat and drink downstairs. The cleaning staff were meticulous and offered warm, attentive service. The morning front desk staff were also very patient and helpful with our requests. The male staff member at the front desk in the evening was truly outstanding; he gave us tips on what to avoid and where to find good food and fun. I will definitely be back next time.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was truly impressed by the service. The staff were extremely friendly and available 24 hours a day. They greeted me warmly every time I entered or left the hotel and were always ready to help with anything I needed. During my stay, I accidentally left my key card in the room, and they assisted me immediately. They also helped when I requested an extra pillow, needed a luggage scale, and even stored my luggage for me after check-out. Their service was consistently attentive and professional. The room was very clean, and housekeeping came every day. It was well-equipped with all the essentials, including soap, shampoo, body lotion, and a hairdryer. However, there was no shower cap and no refrigerator in the room. One minor downside was that at night, I could hear loud water pipe noises when the neighboring room used the bathroom. The hotel is very safe and conveniently located near People’s Square metro station, making it easy to get around. Right next to the hotel, there is a FamilyMart and some small local restaurants, which is very convenient. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to my friends. As a nice touch, the staff gave me a postcard with a thank-you message and a small jar of hand cream at check-out, which made me feel very appreciated. Thank you for the excellent service!

Compliment: The airport transfer to Pudong Airport Terminal 1 took only 7 minutes! Criticism: This is for Jinjiang Group – did you consider the consumer's perspective when naming your hotels? There's another hotel called 'Jinjiang Inn Select (Shanghai Pudong Airport Store)', and this one just adds the word 'Town' at the end. Arriving late at night, calling a taxi, and being from out of town, it's impossible to tell the difference. I only realized I went to the wrong hotel when I got to the airport branch and had to take another taxi to the 'Town' branch. Service is in the details, and this absolutely needs improvement. My comment about 'service' isn't about the staff's service, but about the management's naming conventions. I wasn't the only one who went to the wrong hotel that night. Also, the pick-up service runs on the hour, so if you miss it, you have to take a taxi yourself. I suggest you try experiencing this firsthand.

This hotel is incredibly close to Ruijin Hospital, just a hundred meters or so on foot. The breakfast is affordable and delicious with a good variety of options. The room was spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were super friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and providing really warm service. I highly recommend staying here!

Pudong Airport & Disneyland Shuttle Service: I specifically chose this hotel for its airport shuttle service because my flight landed late. The shuttle departed on time, and there were plenty of spacious seats for everyone. The driver was also great and proactively contacted passengers. Cleanliness: It was noticeably very clean and well-maintained. Everything was neatly arranged. Service: Thanks for the complimentary upgrade to a suite! It was super spacious and far exceeded my expectations. Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it was more than sufficient to meet dietary needs, offering eggs, ham, fried rice, coffee, and milk. It was fantastic, I highly recommend staying here! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit. Excellent!

The hotel is a bit far from the airport, but the free shuttle service makes it quite convenient. The staff were all excellent and very polite. The rooms had all the amenities you could ask for, except for one thing: no fridge! 😳 Also, there's really nothing around the hotel, so finding food or shopping can be a challenge.
