"The service was excellent. I think it was the owner who personally picked us up at the station and provided a detailed hotel guide. Since I couldn't speak Chinese, I used a translator. The hotel map was especially clear, like a contact map. The public baths are located by the stream, allowing you to soak and enjoy the sounds of the water. The only problem was that the time limit was too short, only half an hour. The room amenities were a bit dated, a common problem in Japan."

"There are plenty of parking spaces. We booked a new annex with breakfast and dinner. The balcony faces the beach of Oni no Washboard. The surprise was the dinner for both nights. The Western chef has superb cooking skills and even molecular cuisine. The ingredients and taste are also top-notch. It's great, and it's very different from the ordinary dinner in the main hotel room. However, there was no fried flying fish in the dinner for the two days. It may not be the season, but you can order one. It looks fresh and tastes good. The day we checked in, we caught up with the high school autumn outing. My wife said that the big bathhouse was full of young girls, ah ah ah ah ah,,,,,,,"

"A hotel with a high cost performance! The city of Chushui is very deserted, but the location of the hotel is very good to see the view of Sakurajima. The rooms are compact but all are sea view rooms. The toiletries are complete. The male and female soups of pure natural hot spring water quality are rotated, one is the soup pool facing Sakurajima, and the other is a few hot spring soup pools. In addition, breakfast and dinner far exceeded expectations! This hotel is very suitable for tourists who come to Kagoshima with ample time. The airport has a bus to the Chushui Port to get off at the Central Hospital and walk for 5 minutes. Then take the ferry to Kagoshima's duck pool port, and then change to see Sakurajima. There are also buses to Sakurajima Port that can take a ferry to Kagoshima."

"The room is super big and very new. I know Japanese a little. The two responsible staff can be very friendly and detailed in Japanese to explain check-in, borrow family style, meal time and other details, and feel at home. The most worth mentioning is the food of one berth and two meals. "The staff of this hotel were very polite and hospitable. They took the initiative to take photos for us and directed us to take photos on the hotel's trail to the beach. The food was very delicious, with a kaiseki dinner and a Japanese set menu for breakfast. The outdoor bath faces the seaside and has beautiful scenery."

"There are not many hotel rooms, the hotel's leisure area is very quiet (suitable for emptying yourself), two indoor and outdoor hot springs, a rock bath, the overall hygiene is very clean, and the breakfast is satisfactory! Not particularly rich, breakfast is basically the same for two days! Bring a 5-year-old child, received a breakfast fee (just provide a seat, a tableware, a white rice and a bag of laver,) and a hot spring fee (reasonable), did not require proof of age when checking in! The waiter is polite! The only thing I find inconvenient is that there is no bathroom in the bedroom. You have to take a bath in the hot spring area. This is also because of the hotel's design problem, so you can forgive it. If you bring children, you need to pay attention! Overall it is recommended to stay!"

"The hotel is not big but very beautiful, the service is good, the food is very delicious, and the hot spring mineral content is high. Thank you to the restaurant staff for their patient and friendly Chinese, English and Japanese services, and thank you to the front desk lady for helping us contact the bus down the mountain on a snowy day. SSeng Hock ChangRichmond hotel was located opposite a big department store, with easy access to bus and trams. A combini is just opposite the hotel.
They have a wider range of personal amenities to pick at the lobby. They have 3 machines to handle checkout, exchange currency (e.g. 1000¥ to 100¥ coins for laundry machines on 6th floor, or break 10,000¥ to smaller notes). The machines also accept your hotel parking charges. When it was raining, hotel provided full size umbrellas for use, without deposit or giving room numbers, which is very convenient.
It has a car park with limited lots, so if you can secure one ,it will be very easy to unload and load your bags. Costs 2400¥ for 2 nights of parking.
Main place for food is closer to Tenmonkan area, which is walkable.

- Right in front of the Ohara-machi bus stop.
- A-Coop (supermarket up to 1900) is within walking distance, making shopping convenient. There's a shared microwave in the inn, so you can buy food at the supermarket and eat it there. There's also a refrigerator in the room.
- There's a large public bath and a sauna.
- Shiratani Unsuikyo is a 30-minute bus ride away.
- The hotel staff are friendly.
Not-so-good points:
- The noise from the plumbing in a nearby room was surprisingly loud, making it difficult to sleep.
- The rental equipment is not well maintained. The equipment itself is old.
While it seems to be an established inn and shows its age in many ways, I think the location is excellent. It might be good to leverage its age and perhaps even specialize in mountain-related features. However, the facilities need to be maintained.

IIkegami KI really enjoyed my two-night stay at Samana Hotel Yakushima. The atmosphere during my visit was very peaceful, and the staff were consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Everything about the stay felt well considered, and there was honestly nothing disappointing. I would definitely return.

The onsen was a real highlight, beautifully maintained and deeply relaxing, and the view from my room was absolutely spectacular. Although it was whale season while I was there, I did not manage to see any whales this time, but that simply gives me another reason to come back.
If there is one small area for improvement, it would be the dining experience. While the food was perfectly fine, it felt rather ordinary compared with the overall quality and standard of the hotel. A more varied and distinctive selection, particularly at the buffet, would better match the hotel’s otherwise excellent experience.
Overall, a truly lovely stay, and one I would happily recommend.

OorenjiiiIt is advisable that you have a car as it is a bit far from the main road. Also, it would be better to avail the breakfast and dinner in the hotel due to hotel's location and there is no nearby convenience store from the hotel. Breakfast is a set meal and at the same time they have buffet style for the drinks, rice, etc.
The room is spacious for 2 and the price for it is reasonable.
The hotel staff are very approachable and some of them could speak/ understand English. They are also very accommodating to our requests.
Overall, staying here in this hotel is worth the money.

Aa350ryomaThis hotel's location is super convenient, right in the heart of the Tenmonkan area, with the tram stop directly in front. It's walking distance to the bustling downtown and plenty of restaurants, so exploring and dining out was a breeze. The hotel and rooms felt new and clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The artificial carbonated hot spring in the public bath was fantastic for soothing away travel fatigue. I especially enjoyed the breakfast on the top floor, with amazing views of Sakurajima while savoring dishes made with local ingredients. The staff were also very attentive and polite. Overall, I'd say this is a highly satisfying hotel.

**Location:** The hotel is conveniently located right above Kagoshima-Chuo Station. You can enter directly from the station, and there's a shopping mall downstairs with a wide variety of brands and dining options, which is incredibly convenient.
**Facilities:** The hotel is fully equipped with everything you need, including a refrigerator, air purifier, ice maker, and laundry room. There are also free self-service lockers in the lobby, which are very handy.
**Service:** The staff are very professional and friendly, always patiently helping you with any issues.
**Cleanliness:** Every area, including the guest rooms, lobby, and laundry room, was incredibly clean. The laundry room experience was particularly good.
**Overall:** I highly recommend this hotel; it offers great value for money.

The rice is very good and the beach is nearby, so it is perfect for spending a luxurious time.
This room is a wooden house with high ceilings and a touch of woody fragrance. The ceiling fan invites you to travel.
Taking a step to the balcony, the stars look very beautiful, and the sounds of various creatures come and go.
I feel that I have found something forgotten in my city life.
I want to live longer.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about a 3-4 minute walk from Takamibashi Station on the Kagoshima City Tram in Kagoshima City.
It's also close to Kagoshima Chuo Station, making it convenient for dining and shopping.
While the building itself is old, there's a water server and coffee machine behind the front desk that guests can use free of charge.
Amenities, with the exception of toothbrushes, were chosen from a table next to the front desk and taken to go.
There were a few inconvenient points, rather than issues that bothered me.
Luggage cannot be stored here before check-in.
You must store your luggage at the affiliated Hotel Taisei Annex, located a 3-4 minute walk away.
The front desk is also closed in the morning, so you must take your luggage to Hotel Taisei Annex.
This may be unavoidable in order to cut labor costs, but as a guest, I found it inconvenient when encountering rain or strong winds.
The room itself has a workspace for working on a laptop.
However, the Wi-Fi environment was poor, with frequent disconnections and timeouts making it unusable.
These are areas that could be improved. Concerns
The shower water pressure was fine, but the stop positions for the shower and faucet were a bit awkward, so when I came home from outside and went to the bathroom, the water was still running.
The faucet switch would be fine if it was tight, but it was loose no matter which way I turned it, making it difficult to adjust.
I think repairs are necessary to prevent the water from running continuously.
The walls were thin, and I could hear the escort next door, so I couldn't sleep.
The front desk staff were very helpful and explained any questions I had clearly.
Prices vary greatly depending on when you book, but I might use it again if it's cheaper.
