The hotel does not provide electric kettle to boil water & was not supplying bottled water to the guests as well. You had to pay for basic drinking water USD2.00 per 600mm bottle.
Getting drinking water is a big problem from the hotel.
The restaurant there is basis … there wasn’t much food available.
The only bright point is that airport shuttle service was provided.

While the location is wonderful this hotel has fallen victim to the Covid standard. Basically they provide little to no service, no cleaning, no room service, can’t even get the room adequately stocked with coffee for a room price markup of 20-30%. Plus you have to pay $13/day for on site parking in which they park their shuttles so there’s even less parking lot parking. Initially I thought it was nice to find water and tea in the lobby but soon found the tea hadn’t been changed and was old and sour. Also the breakfast offered at the restaurant is outrageously expensive.

This is a new and very clean hotel. It is convenient because you can get to Washington city center in less than 30 minutes by train or Uber. Part of the commercial facility, which is still under construction, looks like a hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a microwave and plenty of storage space.

DDayTripper420Just passing through on the way South. Went to service desk, they were extremely polite and courteous, so kudos for that. Then they hit me woth the price tag of $159 for the night. ”NO WAY” is all I thought, so I went online and found a booking here on Trip.com for $102. I jumped on it. I was tired, hot, and a little aggravated from the trip, so the price on Trip.com was a relief.
I started looking around and thats when I realized that the amenities all cost. They had complimetary coffee, so YaY!
Got up to the room, it was clean. Unloaded for the night, and it was finally showertime! I do my thing, get into the shower, which was a handicapped shower. It had a chair and a detachable showerhead for those hard to reach places. Well, this is where the problems started. This showerhead was supposed to be able to be locked into position on the pole provided, you k ow, for people that can stand. Well, the damn thing didnt lock. Nope, it stayed at crotch level, and so I was forced to use the detachable showerhead.
Whatever, a shower is a shower, and boy, this shower was GREAT! Then, after my shower, I discovered that they must have wanted me to take a bath afterwards. This is because the entire bathroom floor was flooded from my shower water, and the floor was definitely not graded towards the drain, so to clean it up, one would either need a wet/dry shop-vac or a squeegee, and wouldnt you know it, I left both of mine back North, hundreds of miles away!
I ended up using the towels to basically squeegee the water to the drain and get the floor cleaned up. I wasnt aware they kept their guests on the housekeeping payroll! My partner was unable to shower cause it would have caused another mess.
So, besides the fact that if they could have charged for tap water and air, they would have, and the pool waiting for me after my shower, I had a really good stay. The bed was so comfortable I had trouble getting out of it in the morning, and the complimentary coffee turned out to be fresh. The staff understood my concerns and were extremely friendly about providing their information for when I contacted trip.com for my refund.

GGuest UserChecked in really late (around midnite but they held my room. I called ahead to let them know I'd be flying in late. Conveniently located on one of the major arteries, which incidentally conveniently ends at the US Coast Guard Training Center. I attended my son's training graduation but his checkout went long - probably because their NCO missed them and didn't want them to leave....so I ended up checking out of the hotel much later than the standard checkout time (11am - I checked out just after 1pm) - but because it was USCG related - they waived the late fee - which was greatly appreciated.
The entrance was easy to park (it was raining) and checkin was really simple once we confirmed my reservation. The breakfast nook was directly opposite the checkin counter which made things easier for later that morning (included breakfast). The elevator hallway had a machine which dispensed junk food and sodas - but you need physical cash to use them. Elevator made for deja vu as it's a standard Radisson layout. The room was clean - no weird smells and quite large and spacious with a receiving room (sofa and tv) hot water pot for coffee tea etc. The bathroom was well stocked with towels but the body wash was weirdly located next to the bathroom sink instead of the shower - that was strange. Hand soap was nice and sizable (useful as a body wash, given the fixed location of the body wash next to the sink). The bed was huge (king?) with plenty of pillows and bedding (sheets blankets etc). The room was quite warm which was nice since it was cold and wintery and wet outside. Staff were all very very nice and welcoming and polite.
All in all - most excellent experience from checkin to checkout. But it's the staff which make the experience smooth and enjoyable.

GGuest UserThe shuttle driver to the airport was the highlight of this stay, which, as a Sheraton, should not be the expectation. The desk staff were pleasant enough, but when leaving the lobby to cross the driveway to the second building where the room was located, we saw the most ridiculous situation I have ever encountered at a hotel or even MOTEL. The entry was a split level, ten or so steps up or down without any ramp or elevator. Seeing as the clerk saw we were traveling internationally and had three massive and heavy suitcases, placement in that location was inconvenient at best. If I had not had my son present, there is no way that I could have lifted the luggage to arrive at the room. This does not even take into account someone with mobility concerns.
The restaurant staff were courteous enough, but prices were insanely elevated. Vending machines were scarce and had different offerings in the main building and the satellite building. For example, my building had empty snack machines and the main building had soda machines and ice machines with no prices noted, and when a card was used, the soda was 4.00.
All in all, would NOT recommend whatsoever. The poorest Sheraton I have ever stayed at. Unfortunately, I had told my family that Sheraton was considered a good hotel chain. No longer true if this is a representation.
Sewage leaking in the parking garage with caution tape all around was just icing on the cake.

I forgot my computer bag and the security was able to confirm I left it in the room and was able to retrieve it. GGuest UserThis is a lovely hotel! It's classy and elegant, and overall it'll make your vacation that much more special. The location is great, as you can walk to restaurants or other places in Luray. The Luray Caverns are a quick drive away, as is a Walmart and Food Lion, and Skyline Drive's Thornton Gap Entrance is close by. I ate at the Circa '31 restaurant for breakfast, which was reasonably priced (the menu is small with a few standard breakfast options). Free coffee and muffins in the lobby at all times. The Speakeasy restaurant is very good, and has various specials/deals each night. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, with an area for bonfires and hammocks, as well as a pool and hot tub area. The staff is very kind and accommodating.
A few recommendations for the management:
~Put mini fridges in the rooms
~Put chairs on the balcony so people can use it as a sitting area
~Something to provide more counter space in the bathrooms
I recommend the Mimslyn Inn to anyone staying in the Luray area!

PParrishBeckyWe have loved the Peaks of Otter Lodge for a quiet getaway for many years. The room was very comfortable with good amenities. We first started coming in the '1980s and '90s when the Lodge offered a winter special featuring breakfast and dinner included in the price of the stay. Back then, the food at the Lodge's restaurant was prepared and cooked on site, and the restaurant was very popular and well-known around the area for its excellent food. In recent years, however, ownership of the restaurant changed and the food has never been the same. The food tastes like it's prepackaged and merely heated up at the restaurant, and the menu prices are very high for the quality of the food being offered. In spite of the sub-par food, the wait staff was excellent, and the dining room offers a beautiful view of the lake and Sharp Top Mountain. Overall, I recommend staying at the lodge if you're wanting a peaceful respite in a beautiful setting. But you may want to make the 15 minute trip to the nearby town of Bedford for your meals.

GGuest UserAirport hotels have no or almost no pick-up and shuttle services. After waiting for 45 minutes, I had to take a taxi. The distance from the airport is 5 kilometers, plus a tip of 20 knives. When I returned to the airport at 6 o'clock the next morning, I was told that there was a hotel drop-off, but it would not be available until after 8:15. Another $30 for a taxi

SsknoseyThis hotel is on a motorway so not really near any shops or restaurants and is used when flights are cancelled so you can suddenly end up in a massive queue as they turn up. Having said that, its a decent hotel and if it were located somehwere else I would stay there again. There are shopping centres in Uber distance but I was conned a couple of times as there is heavy traffic around rush hour which is 4pm-8pm there and an alternative route through a tunnel which i was charged €10 but then found it is only for a tiny bit and the roads are clear. They are not proper Ubers but normal taxi drivers who use the Uber app to get jobs but still charge you on the meter and mess around if you dont agree to go through the tunnel. €40 one-way into town! So, no issues with the hotel itself, just the location. Its only suitable maybe if you already have a car or just stay there to access the airport.

GGuest UserThe WaterMark was amazing!The room junior suite we reserved for 2 nights was clean, organized, spacious, had an abundance of towels and bathroom amenities were elegant! We had a full living room detached from master bedroom, and a full kitchen also!!! Priced just right for a 2 night stay. This property is 5 stars for sure! Restaurant, mini golf, star hill brewery, food trucks, big play field for kids and family fun All rolled into one great hotel! The staff from front desk, housekeeping, and kitchen were polite and professional and went above and beyond! The property is very sophisticated and full of technology and the security measures are top notch. You have to experience it if your traveling to Tysons area in Va. The capital one hall is amazing and conveniently located and accessible from the hotel. More than enough parking! We will be returning in October for another weekend!!!
