2-Star Hotels in Chongqing, China

This hostel's location is super convenient; it's right by the exit of Xiaoshizi subway station. Downstairs, there's a bustling shopping area, and it's incredibly easy to get to popular spots like Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and Shibati—they're all within walking distance. The owner is incredibly nice, helpful, and very patient. During my trip to Chongqing, I genuinely felt the warmth, hospitality, sincerity, and kindness of the local people everywhere I went. Chongqing truly is a city with warmth, and staying at Yijia Youth Hostel was definitely the right choice. I'll surely be back! I hope to work in Chongqing after graduating from university and revisit Yijia Youth Hostel to retrace my steps from that time!

This private apartment is in a great location, right in the centre of everything and easy to get around from. Just be aware that the street it’s on doesn’t allow cars so if you taxi you would need to walk a little bit to get there (but not too far). The (quite basic) room I had was on level 33, reception is another level. The couple of elevators to get there took a long time and were always very full. Wifi worked ok most of the time. The room was fine for a short stay if you are going to be out a lot seeing things. There’s no door to the bathroom, just a fabric curtain which was fine for a solo trip but might be uncomfortable if you share it with someone.

Traveling with my parents, this place was super convenient and very clean. It's really close to popular attractions like Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. The travel tips the owner gave us were incredibly helpful, much better than using navigation! We were also lucky enough to have a large floor-to-ceiling window in our room with a perfect view of the drone show.

Awesome stay! I have to rave about the hotel's location! It's right next to Hongyadong, just a few minutes' walk to the attraction. Coming back to the hotel after seeing the night view is super convenient. It's also not far from Jiefangbei and Bayi Delicious Street, making it a breeze to explore, eat, and check out all the sights. This location really hit the spot for me!

We stayed at Jinyun Hotel (Jiefangbei Branch, Chongqing) with our children. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the overall environment was comfortable and inviting. We received attentive and thoughtful service, and the facilities were well-equipped and practical. The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to explore Jiefangbei. It's truly a fantastic choice for families traveling with kids!

The owner was very thoughtful. They added me on WeChat in advance, and checking in via WeChat was super convenient. The bedding was very comfortable, and there was a window with a view. The facilities outside were comprehensive, and the washing machine was also quite convenient for laundry. I recommend staying here. They even helped me mail forgotten items, which I'm very grateful for!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The view from the window was amazing. The air conditioning worked amazing. The toilet had heated seats and the shower was hot with strong water pressure. The lady at reception was super helpful and friendly. She helped me with ordering food and finding my way around. The location is right above Hongya cave, super easy to get around and find food nearby. 100% loved my time there and would stay there again.

The room was spotless and the facilities felt brand new. Watching shows on the 100-inch giant projector screen was an absolute blast. But the real highlight was the river view; sitting by the window at night and taking in the cityscape was incredibly atmospheric. The owner was also very attentive and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. The location was super convenient too, within walking distance to Hongyadong and Jiefangbei, making getting around a breeze.

This hostel is great because the rooms have their own bathrooms, which is super convenient. The common area outside is also really spacious, perfect for eating, studying, or reading. The beds come with a reading lamp, power outlets, and lockers, all well-equipped. Plus, the bunk bed ladders aren't just rungs; they're like a sturdy, box-shaped staircase, very safe and solid. Even if you're usually scared of climbing to the top bunk, you'll feel secure here. Overall, I highly recommend it! I forgot to take photos, but it's genuinely good.

It was an interesting hotel. We passed on the first-time because it's inside the church building, next to the cathedral. The walls were solid making it quiet. The room is small as shown in the picture, nonetheless was comfortable. The location is near a lot of restaurants and close to the pedestrian street. The subway was 15 minutes walking. The only thing I would warn is that if you're arriving or leaving via Didi, they have a block on that part of the street. So you need to jump to the other side. Nothing crazy, all the delivery does the same.
