"The location itself is practically impossible to get to without a car. Parking is conveniently provided, as it's exclusive to the ryokan. The surrounding atmosphere is very satisfying. However, you'll need to rent everything from towels to yukatas at the ryokan. Breakfast is simple. There's a nearby place offering free sulfur hell steaming, so you can just buy eggs and cook them yourself (50 yen). You can also make other sulfur-based dishes if you'd like! I was disappointed that there was only one hot spring, and the water wasn't particularly special. Overall... Spend more and go somewhere better."

"【アクセス】 メインの大通りから少し入った静かな場所にあります。バス停の「天草市役所」から歩いて10分ほどの場所です。宿にはシェアサイクルのポートがありました。タクシーに乗るほどではないけれど、歩くとちょっと遠いな、と言う場合には便利です。 【部屋】 玄関で靴を脱ぎ、板の間にベッドやテーブルも置かれています。段差があるのでつまずかないように注意が必要。テーブルと椅子はコンパクトに作られており、ちょっとした作業には問題ないが、長時間の仕事ではきついかも。 室内は白いのが印象的で、板の間も心地よく、掃除が行き届いて気持ちよかったです。 【アメニティ】 歯ブラシや化粧水などのアメニティーはフロントからいただくシステム。部屋にパジャマがなかったので、テーブルに置かれていた約款？(ガイド的なもの)を読むと、貸し出し品として記載がありました。チェックインの時に部屋着が必要かどうか一言確認があればいいなと思いました。もしくは部屋に置いておいてもらえれば助かります。 朝食はいただかなかったので、コメントはありません。  "

"It is large as an open-air bath with a room, the river just below is clear, the hot water is just right as a trolley, and it is so comfortable that I don't want to come out, so I went in many times. There are many kinds of dishes for dinner and breakfast, but the amount was just right and delicious. It was a really comfortable inn with almost no sounds of the neighbors or the sound of cars, as it felt like an inn hidden quietly in nature. I am convinced that there are many regular customers. I'll see you again."

The photos I saw when I booked this hot spring ryokan online seemed like nothing, but when I came here it was two completely different views. The hot spring in the room is very comfortable, the room is very clean, the environment is very quiet. This time it was one stay and two meals, the food was delicious, you can see the attentiveness of this hot spring inn, each food is small and tastes good. The staff who checked us in was very attentive and explained very clearly, the service was very good. The attitude of the restaurant's staff is also 10% satisfactory. I want this hostel from Aso Volcano, definitely a good choice.

There are private rooms and dormitories. The kitchen and bathroom are all very clean, so if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by ryokans, I highly recommend this place. I had a wonderful, relaxing time, boss. The horse meat was truly amazing! ㅜㅠ! Next time, I'll bring a friend, and I'll treat you to some delicious Korean food. Definitely!! Stay healthy! It was so much fun.

it's like a joint management with the hot water forest hotel. My parents stayed at the Yunomori Hotel side and compared the room there was quite a difference My room had no bath, the oldness of the Showa period, the old tatami mats, and the fragrance were Showa The twin room of my parents was renovated and the unit bus was shiny and the tatami mats and futon beds were nice Still, I'm good because I'm OK in both. The public bath was large, the room was quiet and we were able to stay slowly I want to use it again

The place was spotless and our room had two twin beds, a kitchenette, and the toilet space was modern and sparkling. What made this the best was its location on a little beach surrounded by mountains. Lots of parking for the cars (you have to drive there as it is remote) and the proprieters went above and beyond to give us a map of the area in English with notes telling us where cherry blossoms were blooming at that time and other things. Every day when we returned to the room there was a basket by the door with refreshed supplies. Our room had everything you needed to cook as well as a little table. You have to bring food from Amakusa City as there is no place to shop nearby but once you are there it is totally worth it. There is also plenty of picnic table style seating on the front patio of the rest house. We did not use them but they had stand-up paddleboards, snorkle gear, etc. The sound of the waves and lots of places to hike nearby were amazing.

It’s a good private house. But I’m won’t recommend if weather is cold or raining, or if you’re traveling with young kids. I travelled with my family with two toddlers. The bath and onsen are outdoors, not quite well lit and not well covered. The hot water water pressure is low, and the water is either very hot or very cold. It was a cold, raining and windy that night. It was a horrible experience for us because of the above, and the kids had a lot of trouble taking a bath. And we were worried they might catch a cold. And strangely the door lock of the bath is locked from the outside and not from the inside. Also remember to buy food before entering. We bought ours and cooked our own dinner. Otherwise, it’s a good private house, probably best for adults.

Our recent stay at a charming guesthouse felt like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. The entire house exuded simplicity and warmth, reminiscent of a storybook setting. The gracious host welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm, even though our grasp of Japanese was limited. Despite the language barrier, we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the sumptuous dinner. We were almost too full to continue after indulging in the feast. The homemade hamburger steak, lovingly prepared by the host, was exceptionally delicious. If you’re seeking a heartwarming experience in Aso, I highly recommend giving this guesthouse a try.

We had a wonderful stay at the Power Spot Campsite. The owner was super friendly and helpfull. He helped us with all of our questions and gave us some great recommandations. We arrived on a rainy day with our bicycles and were so happy about the cozy tiny wooden house and a warm shower. We had an amazing view of the mountains and the shrine and it was even possible to make a campfire infront of the little house. It is a magical place. Also there are many cute and friendly cats. We would defenetly visit again!

What a great experience! Very glad we spend one night at this unique place. The staff was extremely helpfull and kind. The rooms are very decent, considering it's an old sleeper train. Just keep in mind the rooms are quite narrow so there is not a lot of space to keep luggage in the room. And the other facilities (bathroom, common rooom) are not abundant, but clean and very much so sufficient for spending a night.
