Absolutely no regrets booking this place! It's so beautiful, a truly lovely spot! đ I took the Galaxy room, which was gorgeous, and my kids loved it, but unfortunately, themed rooms like this don't have a TV đ„Č. There are many swimming pools, and the kids had a blast! You can also go down to the beach and play in the sand. There's even a mini zoo. I'm definitely going to repeat next time, but I want to try a different room, hehe. By the way, the parking is spacious, and you can park close to your room block, which makes carrying luggage easy. My room was on the second floor, and there's no elevator, so you have to take the stairs.
Park the car in his area. Self care but there is CCTV. His swimming pool is small so you have to find a suitable time to take a shower if you don't want to connect with other children/families. The room is big so comfortable for prayer. Iron is not okay because w/even install the most slow but can be burned. Towels smell a little bit, pillows are thin. Aircond is cold. Environmental is safe. Can walk across the road to go to the beach. W/even working day book but full room. Congratulations & thank you.
Outdated and old hotel, but still the best in this location. Good facilities and easy check in process. Brought my kids for swimming, very big pools and friendly staff. Near to Mesra Mall too. If you drive an EV, the hotel doesnât have EV Charger but u can go to Petronas Rantau with 150kW Gentari on it, just 7km from the hotel. We will come again in the future.
So, how about PIR? Let's start with the pros. The sea view is unbeatable, and it has its own long stretch of beach. I'd say it's the second-best on Perhentian Island, right after Long Beach, and definitely better than the two beaches below the Marriott. I even saw sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, and schools of fish while snorkeling â very satisfying! There are also monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and other small animals behind the resort.
The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage from the jetty to the room and again at check-out, which was great. PIR also offers water taxi and island hopping tours, and the prices are quite reasonable.
You can also walk to other restaurants for meals. A whole fish cost 80 MYR, which is much cheaper than the 200 MYR at the Marriott.
Now for the cons. PIR's breakfast is absolutely terrible. Besides fried eggs, I really didn't know what to eat, though the watermelon was decent. Their regular meals are okay, similar in taste to Mama's. The soundproofing is definitely poor; you can hear conversations from the next room and even the sound of the waves. Also, the bed sheets weren't very clean. I'd recommend bringing your own bedding.
Cleanliness need to be improved. Lizard amd mosquitoes appears and fortunately the desk staff able to provide aerosol spray. Television not functioning and door knob for bathroom need to be replaced.
I would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful hospitality, friendliness, and helpful service throughout my wifeâs and my stay at Tanjong Jara Resort. From the smooth check-in until check-out, every moment made our stay truly enjoyable, memorable, and relaxing.
We had a very happy experience at the resort and would highly recommend Tanjong Jara Resort to our family and friends. It is definitely one of the best resort choices in Terengganu.
Special thanks and appreciation to Ai Li, Umah, Haziq, Ruzly, Angel, Amira, Athir, Yusri, Yanna, Khairi, and Aidil for their excellent service, warm hospitality, and dedication in making our stay so pleasant.
Thank you once again, and we hope to visit again in the future đ
We initially had a frustrating experience as our towels were delivered quite late. However, the situation was handled professionally by Manager Iza, who personally delivered the towels to our room and sincerely apologized for the delay. Her prompt action and attention to guests made a positive difference.
Overall, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We booked four rooms and requested them to be located near each other, which the hotel successfully accommodated. However, housekeeping services need improvement, as one of our rooms was not serviced and there were some inconsistencies in room maintenance during our stay.
The hotelâs location is excellent and very convenient. It is close to everything we needed, with Restoran Singgang Budu located right beside the hotel. There are also laundry facilities nearby, and plenty of food options within walking distance, making it a great choice for travelers.
The staff were friendly, always smiling, and genuinely tried their best to accommodate our requests throughout our stay. While housekeeping could be improved, the service recovery by the management team and the hotelâs strategic location made our overall stay enjoyable.
Pros- The location is good and the environment of the outside resort is also good.also the beach view is stunning.as well as their breakfast also not bad.
Cons - their room situation is very very bad. Need to renovate. So old furniture and everything inside the room.feels like it will break now. Also smelly. The door even the bed everything is half broken already. Even it was rusting inside.
So I will say itâs not worth it with the price we paid for one night in this room.Â
Suggestion- your resort is big also attractive. Please do some renovations so you can attract more guests also can give them a better experience thank you.
We had an amazing 5-day family stay at Mimpi Hotel on Perhentian Kecil, and we are honestly more than satisfied. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
The place is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view, and everything is exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises, just even better in real life. The hotel offers many activities, which made our family holiday even more enjoyable. The access is also easy and well organized.
The breakfast is varied and very good, with something for everyone. And considering the quality of the service, the prices are more than affordable.
But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely caring. Always available, very reactive, helpful, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Their kindness and positive attitude made a huge difference in our stay.
We also deeply appreciates the respectful and peaceful atmosphere.
We leave with beautiful memories and highly recommend this hotel. We hope to come back again!

AAnonymous UserVery comfortable, close to KTCC Mall and Mayang Mall. There's a 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel and a Secret Recipe downstairs. It's also near plenty of restaurants.

AAnonymous UserAfter a 45-minute boat ride, we got off at the first stop and contacted the hotel for a pick-up. It was less than a 10-minute drive to the hotel. Next to the hotel, there's a local restaurant; their tomato fried rice was good, but the green beans were a bit undercooked. The prices were reasonable. The hotel's internal restaurant also served good food, so you can eat there if you don't want to go out. The hotel's buffet breakfast was quite lavish, and the kids loved it! The hotel has a yoga studio and a gym (you need to take the hotel's sightseeing car up the mountain), a kids' club, a trampoline, billiards, table tennis, manual mahjong, and foosball. Right outside the pool is a beach. If you want to go snorkeling (our diving times were 9 AM and 2 PM, arrive at the dive center 10 minutes early), you need to book in advance with the hotel, then go to the dive center behind the restaurant to get your gear and wait to depart. The hotel beach has many small crabs, and lots of small fish in the water; in deeper areas, there are bigger fish too. The hotel was very comfortable, and the kids didn't want to leave after 3 nights. We'll definitely come back to this hotel next time.
Sometimes, monkeys appear on the room balconies, so try not to hang clothes out there, as they might be taken by the monkeys.
The rooms are wooden cabins, so the facilities are a bit old, and many things showed signs of dampness and mold. The basic amenities are just okay; germaphobes probably wouldn't be able to stay here.
GGuest UserOverall, our stay was positive. However, the first rooms our family was assigned were dirty (windows, plumbing, stained furniture, dust), the towels were grey, and the mattress had a musty smell in places. BUT, I must emphasize that this was the *only* disappointment, and it was resolved within a couple of hours!
We extend our immense gratitude to the hotel management and especially to Mr. Bryan, who upgraded us to a Premier room with two bedrooms and a living room. This room had been recently renovated and was spotlessly clean, with a new mattress and comfortable pillows. Bottled water was provided in the room, and in the evenings, staff brought delicious chocolates and prepared the room for bedtime. We slept wonderfully; it was perfectly quiet, and the bay view was breathtaking!
I want to highlight the dinner buffet (130 RM per person): an excellent selection of main courses, soups, quality desserts, ice cream, tea, coffee, and water. Please offer these dinners more often! We also ordered pizza to the room, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The dishes at the Indian restaurant were small and could have been better.
The bay is beautiful, and the water is a fantastic color. The hotel provides free life jackets and kayaks, and you can swim and even see sea turtles. The hotel also offered a free shuttle to and from Village Jetty. We spent three wonderful days at the hotel and didn't want to leave!
Our suggestions for management would be to update all the rooms and to clean and repaint the sun loungers. Mr. Bryan, thank you again for your help and care in resolving our issues! The hotel service is 10/10.
