Let's start with the positives: 1: The hotel's location is quite good. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Ferris wheel and 10 minutes to the Ancient Culture Street pier. 2: The soundproofing in the room is decent, and the shower pressure is excellent. 3: The overall service is acceptable, and breakfast offers a good variety. However, the downsides are also very apparent: 1: The room type names are incredibly misleading. I specifically chose the 'Flowing River View Twin Room' but ended up with what felt more like a 'River Canal Prison View Room.' If this is the view, they really shouldn't use 'Haihe River View' in the name; it's too deceptive for consumers. If this view were a free upgrade, I wouldn't complain, but paying for it made me feel like I was getting ripped off. 2: The facilities and equipment are outdated. The power outlets by the bed are few and loose; I had to use some mechanical ingenuity to keep plugs from falling out, and half my devices had to be charged by the kettle. The hairdryer in the bathroom felt like something from ten years ago—heavy as a dumbbell, but the air it produced was as gentle as a natural breeze, barely effective. If they can't afford a Dyson, surely they can at least get a domestic brand like Refa? Overall, the experience was very mediocre. If it were a 500-yuan business trip, I could accept it, but for a vacation, I'm truly disappointed and won't choose this hotel again.

1. The booking stated free parking, and the security guard at the booth said we could park on B2. There was no prior instruction on which zone to park in. In the basement, it said to take elevator 4, and we parked right opposite it. At the front desk, the attendant said, 'I'm not sure where you parked, could you please go down and check?' Why wasn't this communicated earlier?? I walked around the first floor, found the front desk, and then they asked me to go back down and check again. Don't you know which zone is opposite your elevator, or how far it is, even though you work here? 2. They handed us the room key card without mentioning the floor or room number. When we asked, they just said, 'Please check it yourselves.' All they seem to say is 'please' while doing nothing helpful. What are the breakfast hours? What floor is breakfast on?? Not a word was said. Is this the result of corporate training? Just 'please check it yourselves,' 'please find it yourselves?' 3. Langlizi and Manyu are two hotels, with two front desks, but only one attendant. So, if someone is checking in, you have to wait. After they're done, they don't even call the next person; you still have to wait. Is it one company with two licenses? Operating under two names? 4. Even hotels costing a hundred yuan or so wouldn't just say 'please' and then be unhelpful. If only the booking confirmation had mentioned which parking zone, or if the security guard had told us which zone to park in, that would have been something. But there was nothing!!!

Hotels, as an indispensable part of any trip, are more than just a place to stay; they create exclusive memories, embodying culture, charm, and flavor. They're like an ambassador of the city – a good hotel makes you smile with gratitude when you close your eyes and recall your trip. The Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe is precisely one such hotel. Everyone we met was so warm, truly going above and beyond to surprise and delight us. 1️⃣ **Location:** The hotel is conveniently located near Ancient Culture Street, the Italian Style Area, Wanghailou Church, and Runzeyuan. It’s an easy 10-minute walk or a quick taxi ride (about 10-something RMB). 2️⃣ **View:** The river view rooms offer excellent vistas. At night, the neon lights on both sides of the Haihe River reflect beautifully, and boats glide across the water, creating a stunning scene. A heads-up: not all rooms have balconies with openable doors, so you might want to confirm this when booking. 3️⃣ **Room:** River view rooms start from 60 square meters and include a balcony. The first round of mini-bar drinks is complimentary. There’s a spacious sofa, perfectly comfortable for an extra person to sleep on. For just over 1,000 RMB a night, the value for money is excellent! 4️⃣ **Service:** Every single staff member at the Banyan Tree was polite, friendly, warm, and enthusiastic. When one of the sinks in our room was a bit clogged, they not only promptly fixed it but also sent a fruit platter as an apology. Mineral water was replenished very promptly; seeing that we were a larger group (3 adults and 1 child), they even left seven or eight bottles, making it convenient for the child. We brought a swimming ring but forgot the pump, and surprisingly, the pool area had one, which solved our problem! The hotel offers transfer services: a round trip from Tianjin Station to the hotel costs ¥80, and a one-way trip is ¥50. While slightly more expensive than a private car, the hotel uses large, clean, and comfortable business vans. Since we had a baby with us, the hotel graciously extended our check-out time. 5️⃣ **Facilities:** When traveling with children, besides choosing a five-star hotel, we typically look for rooms over 60 square meters and a kids' club. While the Banyan Tree's kids' club isn't huge and lacks toy cars, the upside is that it was empty! The benefit of traveling during off-peak times meant our child had the entire club to themselves.👏👏👏 The swimming pool area has two heated pools, which are more than enough for kids to play in, and the adult pool water was very clean. Ordering takeout was super easy, with a robot delivering food directly to the room. I must particularly commend the front door staff. Every time we took a taxi, they would open the car door, handle our luggage, fold the stroller – they did everything they could. We left something behind, and they brought it out to us on a luggage trolley, very professional. Although the room decor isn't brand new, overall, it's very clean, with an extra-large bathtub. They even provided multiple charging adapters, mosquito repellent, and corner protectors, showing great attention to detail. 6️⃣ **Features:** The hotel's main theme is Zen. There's a dedicated meditation space. I absolutely loved the hotel's signature fragrance – it smells very high-end, and the scent of the hand lotion lingered for a long time; I even wanted to buy a bottle to take home. ❇️ **Minor point:** If I had to find a fault, it would be that while the artwork in the rooms is Zen-inspired, the dark tones could be adjusted to create a warmer atmosphere. 💕 If you're visiting Tianjin with your little one, I highly recommend the Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe. It will definitely add an extra layer of joy to your wonderful memories! Grateful for the experience! ❤️

I visited Tianjin with my family during the May Day holiday and chose to stay at The St. Regis Tianjin. While there were a few minor issues with our overall stay, I must commend the incredibly thoughtful service of our butler, Aiden! Upon arrival, we found our room wasn't ready during check-in. Traveling with family can be hectic, so I was naturally a bit anxious. Thankfully, after contacting Aiden, he promptly came to assist us. He patiently helped us arrange a room change. The communication was seamless, and he handled everything very efficiently, quickly getting us settled and saving us a lot of trouble. However, the new room was a connecting room, and we did notice some minor issues during our stay, like slight noise bleed. This was a small regret during our visit, and I hope the hotel can pay more attention to room assignments in the future. Putting that minor issue aside, Aiden's service was truly impeccable. He was gentle, responsible, and proactively helped us resolve our check-in challenges, always putting the guests first. He ensured our family trip to Tianjin wasn't dampened by the initial hiccup. His professional and warm butler service was a huge plus! Many thanks to Aiden for his dedicated assistance. I also hope the hotel can optimize relevant check-in details and continue to improve!

Booking was smooth, and the early bird discount certainly helped, otherwise, the inflated prices for May Day would have been a deterrent. The location is excellent; I've never stayed in this area before, near the Haihe River and Tianjin Eye. It's close to the Wanghailou Church ⛪️, a few great local restaurants, and within walking distance of the general education exhibition area of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, which made this holiday truly beautiful! The room has character. Relaxing on the sofa in the living room with a hand-drawn map and a Sprite, it was a space that lifted my spirits. The toilet flushing sound was the only minor drawback. The massive TV screen can swivel 180°, and I enjoyed over nine hours of peaceful sleep. The sink faucet requires you to bend down to reach it – a puzzling design choice, as in many hotels 🤔… The hotel readily agreed to an extended stay, which made planning my sightseeing much easier. The breakfast restaurant rarely had a wait, and the table spacing was excellent! The watermelon 🍉 was delicious, and the cookies 🍪 were seriously good.

The Astor Hotel is absolutely stunning! My parents and I stayed for two nights and honestly, we didn't want to leave. It was their first time visiting Tianjin, and staying in a hotel with such a rich history and cultural heritage felt incredibly special. Our room, despite its age, was meticulously clean and decorated so charmingly, every photo we took looked straight out of an old vintage movie. We stayed in both a balcony room and a non-balcony room, and each had its own charm. The balcony room was smaller, perfect for one person, but had the largest terrace where you could enjoy the street views up close, breathe in the Tianjin air, and even hear the park-goers playing their instruments, haha! The non-balcony room was much more spacious, feeling huge even for my parents, they could practically run circles in it! Some of the furniture showed a bit of wear due to age, but that's part of staying in a historic hotel, and it was perfectly acceptable. The hotel's current top-up gift offer is a fantastic deal, and I'm already looking forward to my next stay in Tianjin. Highly recommend, 10/10!

The staff were exceptionally good and upgraded our room for free. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the TV picture was incredibly clear, much better than many other hotels. The nearby commercial area is convenient for dining and shopping, and there's even a popular网红 (wanghong/influencer hotspot) right across the street. The location is just fantastic!

This hotel offers fantastic views and a very peaceful atmosphere, which is definitely one of its biggest highlights. There are also lovely walking paths nearby. Overall, the environment is incredibly quiet, and the location is super convenient! It's only about a 20-minute drive to the airport and around 10 minutes to Tianjin Station. Another major plus is their breakfast. If you're a fan of Chinese breakfast, theirs is excellent and very distinctive! That's why I often choose to stay here.

The service was decent, pretty much what you'd expect from a Westin. However, the room itself was a letdown. There was dust in many spots that clearly hadn't been cleaned, and to top it off, I even found an insect 🐛, not sure if it was a cockroach or something else… it was alive and crawling on the carpet… They provided two servings of welcome fruit, but it wasn't very fresh. The complimentary gifts were a nice touch, all themed around Tianjin specialties like Shanhaiguan and Haihe milk. The breakfast also featured local delights like Zhangji baozi, miancha, and gabacai, which is really great for tourists as you can experience Tianjin's local flavors without even leaving the hotel.

We drove to Tianjin with our child and chose the Hampton by Hilton Tianjin Station. The hotel's location is excellent, right across the street from Jiefang Bridge, Century Clock, and Jinwan Plaza. Tianjin Station is also right next door, making it convenient to go anywhere. Parking is also easy. The hotel facilities are smart, clean, and the overall environment is fantastic. We stayed on a high floor and had a beautiful view of Tianjin's night skyline. I especially want to mention the breakfast buffet; our child loved it! There was a great variety of delicious options. I had the *Jianbing Guozi* (a traditional Chinese savory crepe) several times, and I think the hotel's version is exceptionally good. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit.

BBenpaodebanlangenOur stay at this hot spring hotel was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The lobby was spacious and bright upon arrival, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, helping us with our luggage and guiding us through the check-in process – their service was truly exceptional. The room itself was cozy and elegantly decorated, with all the facilities being fully equipped and brand new. The hot springs were the biggest highlight for me; there was a fantastic variety of pools, including traditional Chinese herbal baths and romantic rose petal pools. Soaking in the warm water melted all my fatigue away. After the hot spring, we could even enjoy some delicate refreshments in the relaxation area. The hotel restaurant's food was also commendable – fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The surrounding environment was beautiful, with crisp, clean air. I genuinely feel this trip was incredibly worthwhile and I'll definitely be bringing my family and friends back again!

GGuest UserThe hotel is next to the Panshan Scenic Area; parking is convenient in the courtyard; supporting leisure and entertainment projects are complete, and a few are free; it is convenient to eat in the hotel and near the scenic area; the room is spacious and has a balcony; it's just a bit stuffy without air conditioning in this season, but the waiter quickly brought a floor fan; the buffet breakfast has many varieties and the taste is average; the duty managers Xin Yang and Hu Weiwei are very enthusiastic, and gave small gifts before leaving; I will consider staying here next time I visit!
