**Location**
Smack in the middle of everything—but still tucked away from the chaos. The hotel is ideally located between Raffles City Chongqing and Hongya Cave, yet it sits along a quieter side lane, not directly on the main road. I really appreciated this—after a long day out, the last thing I wanted was to fight through crowds just to get back to my room. That said, once you step out and walk less than 30 seconds to the main street, you’re right back in the heart of the action. There's also a metro station nearby, making it super convenient to get around.
**Food**
Right outside the building, there’s a line of food stalls and small shops that run from breakfast through late-night supper. (Pro tip: they open early, so breakfast is sorted. And for late-night skewers, I recommend the left-most stall when you're exiting the building—it was my favorite.) The whole stretch is worth exploring, and if you're feeling lazy, food delivery apps can send your order straight to your room.
**Service**
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. On my second-last day, I asked for something to weigh my luggage and they provided a small, lightweight scale I could bring up to my room—really thoughtful. Upon check-in, I scanned their WeChat QR code to stay connected (a standard practice in China). They’ve set up auto-replies with all the info you’d need: where the laundry room is, local food recommendations (with addresses), and suggested itineraries with transport directions. Very helpful! And don't worry—WeChat has a built-in translation feature, so everything can be viewed in English.
**Room**
I was upgraded to a room on the 23rd floor. From walking past other rooms during housekeeping, I suspect mine was actually one of the smaller ones—yet it was still very spacious. (My 27” luggage fit easily with room to spare, if that helps for scale.) The water temperature in the shower stayed constant, which is always a big plus.
Also worth mentioning: while the street outside looks pretty standard for Chongqing, once you enter the lobby and walk the corridors, it feels like a different world—modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. A nice contrast I really enjoyed.
**Other Tips**
When booking a Didi (ride-hailing app), sometimes the default pickup point is set to the main road. Just double-check the map in the app and adjust accordingly—again, it’s really just a 30-second walk.
All in all, I’d absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Chongqing—and I’m pretty sure I will be!
The room is next to the river. You can see the clear water of Wujiang River while lying on the bed. It is very comfortable and the room is large.
The facilities are quite complete, and the cruise ship terminal is just a few steps away, which is very convenient. The boss can buy boat tickets for you, which is much cheaper. We had dinner at his house because the dishes in every restaurant on the street are pretty much the same and there's not much to choose from. The food tasted good but was a little expensive. They don't provide breakfast, but luckily there's a breakfast shop next door, so it's quite convenient. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the food and accommodation!

We booked for 6 nights and we absolutely loveddddddddd our stay here! The room was very comfy, clean and modern. And the location couldn’t be more convenient. Walking distance to Jie Fang Bei (shopping district) & Hong Ya Dong (most popular spot in CQ) and tons of restaurants, chagee & cha yan yue se. Right infront of a huge shopping mall. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially staff 7 & 9, they made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend my peers and stay again when i revisit!

Perfect Hotel. Looks exactly like the pictures but better. Greeted with a very warm welcome. Room was very big, clean and great air con system.
Location: perfect, everything in walking distance. If you want to go further, the metro is 2mins away.
Will stay here again for sure.
Big thank you to the girl at front desk (sorry I don’t know your name!) but you helped me plan trips and suggested a great noodle place! Perfect stay!

As a foreign traveler, my stay at MOUNTWELL·Shanqi Executive Suite Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongya Cave Branch) in Chongqing was an absolute delight!
Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk. They were not only efficient in handling the check - in process but also incredibly helpful, providing me with detailed information about local attractions and delicious food spots in English.
The room was a haven of comfort and luxury. The large floor - to - ceiling windows offered an unbeatable view of Chongqing's stunning skyline. At night, the city lights twinkled like stars, creating a magical scene that I couldn't get enough of. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. Modern amenities such as a Dyson hairdryer added a touch of high - end convenience.
The hotel's location is superb. Just a short walk from Jiaochangkou Subway Station, it made getting around the city a breeze. Popular attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongya Cave were easily accessible on foot.
Overall, this hotel perfectly combined comfort, convenience, and excellent service. It truly enhanced my experience in Chongqing, and I can't wait to stay here again on my next visit!
Service: First of all, the latest high-speed rail from Chongqing to Wushan, we took it at 11 o'clock at night. The little brother came to pick up the station, and arrived early. It was very cold and waited at the station door for at least 20 minutes. Thank you very much. After arriving late, I also sent a hot welcome dessert. The night before, I would ask what I had to eat for breakfast the next day and what taboos were there.
Facilities: The homestay is very new, the hard and soft decoration is very good!
Environment: In Ningjiangdu Park, the scenery is naturally great! In the morning, you can take the internal passage of the hotel directly to the river. And the location is also very good, it is very convenient to go to Shennvtian Road and Wenfeng Scenic Area.
The meal is delicious, family! ! As expected, the boss is doing catering, and when he left, he also sent two packs of Sister Pei's hot pot bottoms.

We recently stayed at the Chongqing Ashan River View Hotel (Jiefangbei Raffles Square Branch), and it was an amazing experience! The service was truly outstanding. Despite the language barrier, the front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. One of the lovely ladies even went out of her way to pick us up from the mall, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Our room was upgraded to a beautiful river-view duplex, and I have to say it was absolutely stunning. The room was spotless, and the tranquility of the place made for a peaceful and restful stay. There were no disturbances, and I slept like a baby, which is always a huge plus when traveling.
I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, beautiful rooms, and great location. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Chongqing!

Excellent location with literally 5 mins walk to the busy pedestrian street. Hotel is located within and office blocks, fairly common for all the hotel within the city vicinity. Easy to find the hotel with good signage on ground level. Very central location, with easy pickup/drop off to move around with Didi. The room is spacious, and functional. Has an in-room washing machine with dryer which is fully functional. They provided laundry detergents, so very helpful. Staff are friendly, prompt and helpful. Appreciate that they connect me to the highly sought after dinner cum performance 礼宴. Value stay.

5-Star Stay in Chongqing!
Our recent stay in Chongqing was fantastic! The hotel’s location was perfect—close to major attractions like Hongya Cave and Jiefangbei, with easy metro access. The personalised service from 阿娇 truly stood out; the staff remembered our preferences and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even recommended hidden local eateries, which were amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and offered stunning city views. Such a memorable experience—we’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chongqing!

GGaryWe stayed at The Regent for two nights and are very happy with the experience. At check-on, June and Nicole were patient with our inefficient Putonghua while introducing hotel services and facilities in details such as pool's open hour, whether swimming cap is included and the complimentary mini bar and laundry etc. The hotel is beautifully designed with dark wood rendering a sense of serenity and elegance. Our rooms enjoy captivating views of the river and Hongya Dong. The interior of the room aligns the design of the hotel with aesthetic details such as red tissue box, red stationery box, collateral with soft floral illustration. The bed is very comfortable, the firmness of the mattress is just rigjt. The hotel offers a range of amenities for our convenience which is thoughtful. The complimentary mini bar included soft drinks, white wine, beer and snacks, a very nice offerings..Each room received complimentary laundry of 3 pieces of basic garment which suit our needs. We enjoyed the complimentary special bath as well, rose bath and lemon bath, it is a fantastic gesture. We had breakfast at the Lounge, the buffet quality and selection were wonderful. The Chongqing XiaoMian was the star. The local breakfast specialities and the western choices were all tasty including the fried mackeral, steamed dim sum and the fresh salad. The hotel pool is nice, it is 25m and is indoor. The Regent is located in the financial district, adjacent to a shopping mall. There is a good variety of restaurants and local stores. The Concierge team is friendly and helpful I was not able to catch the team member's name but he has assisted us with our luggages and saw us off with a sincere smile. We had a very memorable stay!

XxylsLocated right in the heart of Haochi Street, the hotel is a haven for food lovers. The vibrant street food scene just outside the doorstep ensures you’re never far from a delicious snack or meal, no matter the time of day.
The hotel itself is modern and fun, with a trendy vibe that makes it stand out. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-designed, perfect for relaxing after exploring the bustling streets.
A special shoutout to Yann at the reception, who truly made our stay memorable. XXiaoxiaoziyingThe experience of staying at Le Meridien Chongqing is perfect! The hotel is located in the core area of Nan'an District, with convenient transportation. It is within walking distance of the subway station and surrounded by business districts. It is very convenient for both business and leisure travel. The lobby design is full of modern art, integrating the elements of Chongqing Mountain City, which is refreshing. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a panoramic view of the city and river. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the smart devices are all available, showing quality in every detail. The attentive service and exquisite afternoon tea in the executive lounge make people feel noble, and the authentic Sichuan cuisine of Lemei Chinese Restaurant is even more amazing, especially the signature spicy noodles. The gym is open 24 hours a day, the rooftop swimming pool has a wide view, and the night lights create a romantic atmosphere. The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, actively upgrading the room type when checking in, and the room service responds quickly. Overall, this is a hotel that perfectly combines luxury experience with mountain city culture, and is highly recommended to travelers who pursue quality! The customer service sister is very enthusiastic and gave the children parent-child toys and toiletries bags for free. Special thanks. I will come back later!

WWeeStayed here for 5 nights in a 2 bedroom premier.
TBH nothing so premier besides a standard service apartment.
Location wise it's ok but rather away from the main venue and supermarkets are rather a distance.
Surrounding area food availability is decent. You can get the usual hotpot just up the stairs outside need elephant street of 白象街。 Got to those crowded ones and look at the menu pricing. Mostly are different.
Otherwise if you are travelling in from Singapore you should reach the hotel around 230am so if you need food you need to pack before coming to the hotel
Nothing to eat when you check in.

GGuest UserI have only positive things to say about this hotel and recommend it to anyone who is staying in Chongqing, especially those who want to explore the Shapingba area and/or be close to the Shapingba train station. It's about a 10 minute Didi/taxi ride away which made my commute really easy. I highly, highly encourage anyone to stay at this hotel!
1. It is newly opened (I believe October-December of 2024) and so it is very clean. It literally sparkles! Housekeeping is really good at keeping the room neat and tidy, which you can see from my pictures. I felt very comfortable staying there and of course, the decor was very nice! There is no smoke smell in the room due to it being newly opened.
2. It is a very quiet hotel. It is only one floor (floor 1 is technically the second floor on top of the lobby) to my knowledge and the other guests are pretty quiet.
3. The laundry room is extremely nice. It is very clean (no moldy smell) and the washer and dryer are separate, so it is very effective. There are two washers and two dryers and they provide laundry detergent and also an antibacterial wash if you need it. The laundry room is on the third floor and requires taking a different elevator to get there. Furthermore, the laundry room is in the same room as the gym but there isn't any heavy laundry smell that will disrupt your workout. There are also sinks, an ironing board, and a steamer (if I recall correctly) in the laundry room for all of your needs! The laundry machines are also quite advanced in the sense that you can adjust the temperature if you want; for example, I dried my clothes on low heat. Basically, all of the amenities are nice.
4. Finally, I have to say that the service provided by this hotel is top-notch. You can communicate all of your questions and such to them on WeChat and they reply promptly and so nicely. I checked out at around noon and a few hours later, while en route to my next destination via train, I texted them asking if they had seen a charger or anything of the sort left in the room as I had this feeling that I'd forgotten something. Not only did they reply immediately, but they even sent pictures of additional things that I'd forgotten, such as my slippers, that I didn't even think of. They helped to arrange a kuaidi (courier) to deliver my forgotten items to my next hotel and even helped arrange for express delivery so I could get it as soon as possible. They didn't charge any extra fees for this; all I did was pay the delivery fee for the courier. And when I couldn't track the progress of my order (just foreigner things), they sent me screenshots every time I asked for updates. Another time they helped me out was when I took the wrong elevator and was having trouble getting back up to my floor; I contacted them on WeChat and someone came to help me right away and explain what to do!
This is a truly wonderful hotel with really caring staff. I highly recommend staying here!
DDr. OscarLongmen Pu Village: A Serene Escape into Chongqing's Mountain Charm
As an avid traveler, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Longmen Pu Village, a remarkable resort nestled in the heart of Chongqing's stunning mountain landscape. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the seamless blend of modern comforts and the region's rich, traditional charm.
The resort's accommodations are a true delight – beautifully designed rooms that effortlessly combine sleek, contemporary aesthetics with the warmth and character of the local countryside. The attention to detail is truly impressive, creating a sense of tranquility and authenticity that is all too rare in today's hospitality landscape.
One of the standout features of my stay was the opportunity to explore the entire village on my last night. Navigating the winding paths felt like stepping into an adventure game, with new discoveries at every turn. The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting.
The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me.
The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever.
Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure.
While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort.
In conclusion, Longmen Pu Village is a true gem, a resort that has masterfully preserved the local charm and flavor of Chongqing's stunning mountain region. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or an immersive cultural experience, this resort delivers an unforgettable journey that I wholeheartedly recommend.
