5-Star Hotels in Taiwan, China

This hotel is grand and magnificent, with a dragon-themed design throughout. The towering red pillars and Chinese imperial architectural style are truly amazing! The room and balcony were exceptionally spacious. When I booked on Trip.com, I thought I was getting a city view, but upon arrival, I learned it was a mountain view room. The next day, I paid extra to switch to a city view room, which allowed me to experience two different room types. The main difference was, of course, the view. I stayed for three days, and both rooms were incredibly comfortable and spacious. If I visit Taipei again, this will definitely be my top choice for accommodation!

The Regent is thoroughly an amazing experience regardless of if you’re with family, friends, or a solo traveler. The room is incredibly spacious and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and view of the city. The windows offer a great amount of natural light as well of a view of the city. There’s a well-sized desk too if you, like me, had to do some work during the day. The location itself is close to many other hotels and nearby to a station so transportation and local services are easy and possible. However, while locations like Ximending or Taipei 101 are not too far, it’s also not right outside. From some rooms, you can even see Taipei 101! Nonetheless, the area where the hotel is situated is incredibly quiet, clean, and relaxing. The service was, by far, the highlight of the entire experience. From the moment you walk in the door, there are an incredible amount of helpful and kind attendants to assist and guide you. There was not a single negative experience I could write about. As an international solo traveler, I felt well accommodated to. There are an incredible amount of amenities to make use of. Restaurants, bars, pools, spas, shopping! All within the confines of the hotel. If you’re more of a homebody rather than an explorer, that experience is definitely possible here. The food was amazing and the decor is simply decadent. Overall, it was an amazing stay with minimal to no qualms.

The hotel's service and facilities are excellent, and its location is very convenient. I would definitely consider staying here again. I was really disappointed though because I had planned to go for a swim, but when I arrived, I found out the pool was undergoing its annual maintenance, which unfortunately coincided with my entire stay :(

I didn't know what to expect at first but it turned out to be a good choice. For the discounted price i got the room for, it was so worth it. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable as well as the beds. Bathroom/toilet were spacious. Loved the smart toilet, just like those in Japan. Push button double blinds. There was even a full size couch in the room. No unpleasant smell in and out of the bedroom, hallways. Lobby looked classy. Nothing really negative about the hotel. Staff were nice. Location is great. Just beside train station. It's a great place to stay given its price. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This hotel is located in Kenting's Little Bay, just across the road from Little Bay Beach, and the bus stop is also very close by. The hotel's breakfast spread is fantastic, and the seafood buffet for dinner offers great value for money. The best part is that the restaurant has a window overlooking the ocean (Picture 1), adding a wonderful ambiance to dinner. The hotel's garden is a lovely spot to relax (Picture 2). The swimming pool in the garden was under maintenance, so to compensate guests, the hotel organized some fun activities, like a night crab-hunting trip on the beach. We scared all the crabs away, and only a bunch of hermit crabs (Picture 3) stayed to play with us! ☺️

My first impression was that it was ”old school”, with a traditional sense of luxury that comes from an overwhelming Lobby & Reception, large comfortable Elevator lobbies etc. I also appreciate the great service from the staff who brought us extra coffee creamer, to housekeeping who straightened up my mess. Concierge was very attentive, she checked our taxi after we've alighted, to ensure that nothing was left behind. Its this attention to detail that I find rare these days, and therefore its left a deep impression on me. If I were to point out any shortcoming, it would be that the lighting design of the hotel needs a refresh. Some newer lights, aroma/scented corridors, and background music would help. (oops.. occupational hazard...).

Hotel very modern. Lovely rooms. Rooms spacious and beds very comfortable. Medium softness. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great range. Only 15 min in taxi from HSR. Pool area nice, water not heated so about 23degrees. As we were only there for one night got taxis everywhere. The local area ok for one night or if business travel. If staying for Goemei wetlands, maybe you want to stay on the other side of the city.

The location is unbeatable, directly opposite Taipei Main Station with direct access via Entrance/Exit M6. Also lots of shops and F&B options in the station and mall above. Getting to and from Taoyuan Airport is also easy with the Airport metro line, which is faster than a taxi. The hotel is showing its age with visible wear and tear, but the service standard is excellent. Breakfast buffet is also more extensive than I realised - there is another section with Japanese food and fruits which I missed on the first 2 days.

This was my second business trip stay here. The room was large, clean, and well-maintained. Even though it's an older hotel, everything was still very good. Plus, it's really great that the Zhongli Tourist Night Market is nearby!

This is a WOW hotel. Clean spacious rooms. Great location. Impeccable staff: Check-in, room attendant, ride hailing staff and especially their Concierge-Willy-!!!.All above par. And you gotta love their robot delivery:) They also include a free walking tour and it was wonderful!
