Everything is as per information, which is there on the website. Coffee machine in every room would have been nice. Breakfast spread is thin and Restaurant offering breakfast is not conveniently located. Cleanliness, Location and styling is really great. Reception is welcoming and supportive.

The hotel is one of the oldest building in the city but the interior surprises me with comfort, elegance as well as cleanliness. The room is comfortable and clean but it does get noisy at night from the streets and the walkway. The hotel requires room card to access to room floors which ensures the safety of their customers. The stay was excellent and managed to had a good rest. Location wise, it's less than 15 minutes walk to the Rotterdam Centraal train station and there is a McDonald's opposite of the hotel which makes the hotel's location great. Overall it's was an amazing and pleasant stay.

We were traveling in Rotterdam for work/vacation and the Usual had rooms for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Maybe it is just us, but we have found it sometimes difficult to find quad rooms in our travels and don't like to have to book 2 rooms... So it was fortunate that the Usual had a room for us. I say fortunate because the rooms are quite large (a bed and a pull out sofa bed) that still left enough room for our luggage and moving around. There were 2 sinks, a refrigerator and dishware which really helped us out. Not that cooked in the room, it was just great to have for snacks and light eats. I believe the hotel is new as the furnishing was all modern, in excellent condition and very clean. I personally liked the style and amenities of the rooms and hotel. We were on the 6th floor which gave a small view of the city. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, though I would note that check-in is self-check-in and naturally we couldn't find our QR code that the hotel sent us...but there was someone to help us find our way. We only had drinks at the bar, which were good and reasonably priced. We did not get breakfast largely because of the price and that there are many local bakeries/coffee shops available. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy access to the tram/metro and many sights including the Maritime Museum. We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend. Spotless rooms with very nice toiletries. Only negative issue was the service in the reception. Hardly any smiles, you do not get a feeling that you are welcomed. I received a wrong invoice with a name of another customer when I rented a bike. However, the bike rental is otherwise very easy and the bikes are a good quality. If the weather allows I recommend to cycle to your destination. Excellent breakfast with a variety of gluten free and vegan options. You may also have a custom-made omelet.

Een heel mooi, nieuw hotel. Heel erg schoon. Bedden waren heerlijk. Prima badkamer voorzien van fohn, handzeep, doucheschuim en shampoo. Fijne regendouche die op goede hoogte hangt zodat ook lange mensen er goed onder kunnen staan. De douchewand naar de kamer is gemaakt van melkglas maar daar hangt een gordijn voor dus geen inkijk. Wel airco, maar niet zelf te regelen. Koffie- en thee faciliteiten. Geen koelkast, wat met het warme weer wel lekker geweest was maar aan de bar en in een automaat beneden in de hal zijn koude drankjes beschikbaar. Het hotel ligt heel centraal, heel dicht bij het station en dichtbij een hele grote parkeergarage. Het centrum is op loopafstand en in de buurt zijn heel veel restaurantjes, winkeltjes, barretjes en museums. De tijden om te ontbijten zijn heel erg ruim en het assortiment is ruim voldoende. Je hebt tot 12 uur de tijd om uit te checken, wat erg prettig is.

Zeer net en ruim opgezet hotel met voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Schone kamers, niet super de luxe; maar van alle gemakken voorzien je kunt een bakje koffie of thee op de kamer klaarmaken en met fijne bedden (1102). Vriendelijk en behulpzaam, Nederlands sprekend, personeel. Je kunt tot 23.45 nog een drankje bestellen in de lounge, mocht je dat willen. Het ontbijtbuffet is behoorlijk uitgebreid met diverse broodjes (hard/zacht/hartig/zoet), English breakfast, verschillende soorten yoghurt, fruit en beleg en american pancakes en een grote diversiteit aan warme en koude dranken. Er loopt voldoende, vriendelijk personeel rond waardoor je je erg welkom voelt. Wat helaas, vooral voor onze kinderen, erg vervelend was, was dat er een mevrouw in het hotel verbleef die nare en beledigende dingen naar ons riep toen wij na het ontbijt terug gingen naar onze hotelkamer. Het kwam op ons over alsof zij behoorlijk onder invloed was van iets; ze liep/ danste intimiderend in de foyer rond in haar badjas en met een handdoek om haar haar gebonden alsof ze de hele nacht al sinds de avond ervoor onderweg was naar de badkamer. Ze lachte onze zoon uit toen hij bijna tussen de liftdeur kwam wat voor hem echt heel vervelend was. Voor een net hotel als dit was dat wel een afknapper na zo'n geweldig ontbijt en verblijf. Als ik de eigenaar was had ik haar eruit gezet. Wat ook jammer was, waren de omgevingsgeluiden. Rondom het hotel is men bezig met werkzaamheden waardoor je (zelfs op de 11e verdieping) vroeg gewekt wordt door vrachtwagens die af en aan rijden.

This is very nice modern hotel free parking in front of the hotel , very neat room with modern furnishings , love the breakfast (fresh and healthy ) had a good talk with friendly Chinese chef , staff are very friendly here ! Highly recommended !

It was a very pleasant experience - staff is very friendly and supportive, atmosphere is welcoming, CORPUS museum is just in front and might be a great place to visit with children, breakfast is delicious, the absolute highlight of the breakfast is the Chef who made my omelette with a big smile :) room was not big but fits well for 3 guest - the bed and the sofa bed both were comfortable. The room was very nice, vibrant colors, bed was awesome, all very clean. But the big mistake they made with the renovation were the doors. They slam with a very big bang, so when anyone else on the floor enters the room, it all shakes. And then they are not isolated, you can understand discussions happening outside the room. And then, for the breakfast, dinner, lunch: only christmas music. But of the worst kind. There is no place in the region to escape this in the morning, so you have to deal with the christmas music. And for 17 euro's, it's not even worth actually what you get after your ears are in pain with ”jolly happy christmas” three times during breakfast.

I had an amazing stay.. the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive.. the hotel room was clean, and the beds were comfy.. the decor in the public areas was incredible.. there was a great selection of food at breakfast and I really appreciated the fact it was served until midday.. I would highly recommend this hotel.. and if I ever travel to Rotterdam I would definitely stay here again.. 😊

While booking the hotel we certainly came across more fancy sites & locations. Despite the traditional perception transmitted by the website the heart was more impressive than the shell. The dynamic staff and trendy setting did charme us differently. Turns out that surprisingly the hotel is a perfect oasis in a quite noisy city. Once inside no noise no stress just a nice trendy cocoon covering all the aspects to regenerate after a busy day in the city. The rooms are nicely designed with a view. Breakfast is still in the “old” setting, but luckily did receive a inspiring touch. Offering a lot of variance it is a good start of the day. The parking concept on the site was vague, but perfectly expected by the caretaking staff on the phone. Although close to the city centre most of the bar & restaurants are at the other end of the town, but when the weather is fine “who cares !?”.

Overall a good hotel in a good location. Had to phone down to reception to ask for new towels which were not put in the room as part of the daily clean and was charged 2 euro for the phone call upon checking out which was an outrage! Would recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 1 nt. hotel is right at the end of the esplanade. Lovely views and sunset over the sea. On checking in we asked about a standard and a superior room, as we hadn’t precooked our visit, lady on reception with abit of effort could have sold us a superior room but when I asked if we could see both rooms she said not as she was alone on reception ( in other hotels we have been given a key to look ourselves) in the past. Standard sea view room was very nice, however neither did she recommend we needed to book to eat in the restaurant, and being a Monday evening we didn’t think it would be necessary, we were wrong, only 1 chef on so couldn’t eat there. Decided to walk into town to eat, definately go the road route, hotel suggested a back way by the harbour, not a good plan, after a long dark explore the exit was blocked, so stick to the road. Checked out in the morning and had a lovely breakfast in the old town at a beautiful bakers shop, better than 25€ ea at the hotel. Would stay again if visiting the beautiful den Haag beaches.

The room is clean and tidy. The location of the hotel is really good, just a few minutes walk to the central station. Metro station is near to the hotel too. For grocery, there are supermarkets and convenient stores. The area is safe and clean. Will come back again!

The best hotel to stay in during this trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. The price is relatively inexpensive. It is only a few minutes away from the train station. The surrounding environment is very good. It not only has beautiful buildings but also many restaurants and supermarkets. You can reach most attractions on foot. The rooms are spacious and bright, the design is trendy and reasonable, and the a**osphere is full of excitement. It was so reassuring that I even sat down and tasted a dinner with great satisfaction. I arrived at the hotel in the morning. I originally planned to store my luggage and then go out for fun. Unexpectedly, the receptionist asked me to check in several hours early. I am happy and grateful!

Absolutely fantastic hotel about a 10/15 minute walk from The Hague Central Station, paid a bit extra for room with a Parliament View and it was worth it to be looking out overlooking the lake and old Binnenhof buildings! Spotlessly clean throughout the hotel and for the entire stay. Room was large with a very comfortable bed and extra couch. There was a (practically) full kitchen in the room too - with all the glasses, cups, plates, bowls, etc you might need - but we didnt really need to use it as we mostly ate out. Very good wi-fi in the room and a decent selection of English TV channels too. The continental breakfast was delicious and they changed the selection each day, it was nice that you could eat your food in the main hall or in some of the period side rooms. Very close to the historic city centre and plenty of places to eat near by. Would highly recommend.

I love Novotel as a chain, and have stayed at this hotel before and was quite happy. This time I felt things were a little off and I wasn't as satisfied. I seem to recall getting a free bottle of water in the room, which it appears is not included anymore. No more individual shower gels and soaps, but now big pumps of soap, which is OK if you have the complete set of them. Yes, it's more environmentally friendly but it's also a sign of cost-cutting. Breakfast was more or less the same -- good choice and quality -- except on a busy weekend they seemed totally overwhelmed and people had to queue to get a table. On a quieter morning, I noticed a sign stating one can request omelettes and poached eggs from the kitchen, so I did, and this dish never materialized, which was a little awkward. The fresh orange juice machine is awful: constant noise and queues of people taking ages to each make one glass of juice, as it requires that the user slice the orange and then ram each half, one at a time, into the machine, yielding a tiny amount of juice. Repeat for 6 or 7 oranges to get a glass... It would be funny to watch as slapstick if it weren't so annoying to listen to. On the positive side, the rooms are still attractive, comfortable, and quiet.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, but the room is very small. The prices in The Hague are generally high, but I don't know why this hotel is expensive but has a small room. The service is also very good and the bedding is very comfortable.

Absolutely perfect stay with my 3yo. There’s plenty of room for her to come lay and run around, highly recommend the suite when traveling with toddlers! Location is wonderful, in the heart of city centre. Lots of shops nearby and just outside there’s a large supermarket. Restaurant downstairs was also great.

Very good location, great services, good breakfast, not so much facilities (depend on what one is looking for). All in one - excellent experience.

We stopped for 5 nights, (1-5th June) and here are our comments. Pros Bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a large impressive selection and catered for all our needs. The rooms were equipped with a small fridge and a kettle, however the sachets of coffee etc., were not always replenished. Cons There was a lack of local information, i.e. bus/train/tram times and an idea of costs, and where to catch them. This would cost a very small amount of money to fix, i.e print out local schedules, or displayed on a local screen so it can be easily viewed and updated. Whilst asking at reception we found that the younger generation receptionists did not know, and were unable to find out. (e.g. phone the train station and ask!). The more mature staff were more helpful, but were not always on duty. There appeared to be a lack of general staff, e.g. when returning from the town, wishing to have a drink, there were no staff behind the bar. This was every evening, so not just a one off, so we had drinks at the Campanile (just down the road) instead. In summary a reasonable hotel, but let down by not getting the basics right.

The location is in the most central place, all attractions are nearby, the gentleman at the front desk is very nice, he will explain everything you want to know, and I will definitely recommend it to all friends who come to the Netherlands!

I stayed in the suite - the hotel's largest room - for two nights in May. This hotel is certainly the most upscale option in Delft. The design details of the room were impressive - if aesthetics are something you value in a hotel stay, Hotel ****naal delivers. I loved the soaking tub in the room, and the additional seating area in front of the oversized window overlooking the canal. The TV set up at the foot of the bed was jarring with the rest of the room design, I wished that there was a way to push the TV stand down so that it did not block the visibility of the rest of the room. I liked the bluetooth speaker/record player, although I was confused because it was nonfunctional (the needle was missing) yet came with two vinyls. It did work as a speaker. I enjoyed daily breakfast and appreciated that there were many delicious options available including on-demand hot options. Cons: I wished there had been somewhere to lock a bike in the hotel's courtyard versus on the street. It was loud outside at night, and sound carried into the room. This didn't bother me, but some guests might have taken issue. My friend who lives in the area noted that there's a fraternity on the same block. Classes had just ended, so maybe the revelry isn't an issue normally. The hotel had very limited onsite bar/dining options outside of breakfast. I went down to order a cocktail 30 minutes before closing, and was told they were only able to offer beer or wine at that point. I'm assuming because they had already done bar cleanup for the night, but still... I was surprised given the upscale positioning of the hotel. Overall, I really appreciated my stay at Hotel ****naal and found the experience quite serene and elevated. Book the suite!
