Wenshu Monastery/Longhu Shangcheng Sky Street
A complete paradise in the city! This hotel is a gem. The staff at XISHU Garden are so helpful. They were caring for myself and other foreign travelers in the lobby. The staff spoke English well and could help me extend my stay. 🪷Vegetarian options on the menu 🌾 The halls and the rooms were all clean and well decorated. This location is very comfortable. The shared room is a good size. The sleeping cubby is large enough for a good sleep. (Anyone over 6 ft tall may need to consider size). From TianFu Int. Airport ride MTR line 18 and transfer at South Railway Station to Line 1. Ride to Wenshu monastery station, leave out exit K. At the Garden Inn: enjoy the living garden courtyard, in-house cooked meals, and comfortable furniture.

Dujiangyan Scenic Area
The B&B I stayed in on the first day of my trip to western Sichuan was very comfortable. The B&B is decorated with unique features, spacious, clean and comfortable. It has a superior geographical location, close to Yangtianwo Square, Guanxian Ancient City, Dujiangyan and other scenic spots, and can be reached on foot. The store service is very good, enthusiastically introducing travel routes, and also upgraded the room for free. It is definitely the first choice for travel accommodation.

The hotel is very good, with complete facilities and equipment. It is situated within walking distance to IFS. Breakfast selection is good, and they have an egg and noodles station. It will be nice to include more protein selection. The front desk, particularly Ms Liliana was very helpful, professional and enthusiastic when checking in and helping us solve problems and even the food delivery. The hotel has a robot to send us the room cards and food delivery. The housekeepers keeps the room clean and tidy. kudos to the aunty who manage the laundry area, who cleans after each wash!

Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu - MGallery

The last stop of the Chengdu trip is mainly for relaxation and leisure. The hotel choice is extremely satisfactory. The first impression is that the service is warm and thoughtful, there are fresh fruits every day, the problem is reported quickly and effectively, and the sanitation is clean in time, especially Miss Ye at the front desk, who helped coordinate the accommodation matters throughout the whole process, without being impatient or impatient, and I give it a thumbs up. Second, the hotel hardware is very new. There are no old problems common in other hotels during the few days of accommodation. The room soundproofing is in place. Third, the hotel hot spring is very good, it is real hot spring water, and the body is slippery when soaked. Fourth, the hotel catering is worth recommending. The breakfast is rich and tastes good. After the restaurant waiter knew the need for a low-sugar diet, he took the initiative to provide cucumber juice. After eating three dinners, whether it was hot pot or stir-fry, the taste was very satisfactory. In short, the hotel really made us feel warm and comfortable, and I will choose here again on my next trip to Chengdu.
Guanyin Yiyuntai Hotel Chengdu

Chengdu University of TCM/Kuanzhai Alley nearby area
During this trip to Chengdu, I stayed at three hotels, JW Marriott, Six Senses and Diaoyutai. Among them, Diaoyutai (now renamed Guanyin Yiyuntai Hotel) is the most expensive and the most expensive in Chengdu, about 2,500 per night. It can be seen that the hardware configuration is quite good and of high quality in first-tier cities, and the French designer has excellent aesthetics. But just like the fundamentals of Chengdu, the hotel software and services are far from matching the hardware configuration. The following is my nitpicking based on the premise that this is the most expensive hotel in Chengdu and even more expensive than Six Senses, which is known as one of the luxury hotels (it is even more ”localized” and difficult to describe): Since there is no welcome fruit dessert in the beautiful dessert box on the table, it is empty. Why put it there? One hour after checking in, an aunt timidly knocked on the door to come in and put the fruit. Isn't it unprofessional? There are no napkins in the restaurant of this level of hotel. The breakfast is small and the quality is simple, as shown in the picture. The bar area in the room is full of crude snacks, and the tea bags are TA. Living on the third floor, the smell of oil smoke from breakfast on the first floor will spread to the room. It should not be because of the large gap in the door. I have said before that the original hardware foundation of this hotel is very good. I don’t know what the reason is. After leaving the room, the hotel is dark and dirty. There is thick dust on the windowsill under the patio. There should be a landscape under the patio, but now it is paved with perfunctory stones. Just looking at this part of the patio, it is almost in a small local guesthouse in China. After leaving the room, the hotel is dark and dirty. There is thick dust on the windowsill under the patio. There should be a garden landscape under the patio, but now it is paved with perfunctory stones. Just looking at this part of the patio, it is almost in a small local guesthouse in China. The hotel is divided into two courtyards with a walking distance of 50 meters. One of the courtyards has no doorman, and the front desk is looming. Tourists on the street can break in. At night, the front desk was replaced by an old man. He is amiable and there is no standard hotel language. The problem is that this is not a homestay. The overall service staff is probably a hastily graduated from a domestic tourism technical school with no experience in high-end hotel management. They are timid and enthusiastic, relying on the simple nature of the locals, but there is no standardized management process. The service is not on point, and they can't learn or understand the essence of the ”French” style in this luxury hotel. It is estimated that they can serve domestic four-star hotels. There are several levels of cognition. Update: On the second day of check-in, I received a notice from the hotel that breakfast was delivered to the room instead, and the restaurant would not prepare breakfast. The reason is self-evident: the main customer of the past few days, the ********* tour group, left, and there were only a few unlucky guests in the entire hotel, including me, so the cost of breakfast was saved as much as possible. This is the way of hospitality of the most expensive hotel in Chengdu.

Zhongzha Furrow Luneng Resort
Absolutely gorgeous villa style hotel with great service provided by Eve and her colleagues. Eve was responsive and checked in with us to ensure that we had all we needed for a stay. The housekeeping team was also prompt with our requests. Buggy can take a while to arrive during breakfast peak hours. You could tell that the room heater had been turned on hours pre-arrival to welcome its guests warmly. Room had a beautiful mountain view and the toilets were huge. Though we had some issues with opening and closing the sliding door at the toilet it, wasnt too big an issue. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting jiuzhaigou!
Howdy Smart Hotel (Chengdu Chunxi Taikoo Li)
4.7/56612 Reviews
Chunxi Road Commercial Area
This is a decent budget hotel with clean room & bathroom to sleep after all day out visiting/shopping. Front desk is informative. If your back facing the hotel, on your left walk straight down on the main road for 10-12 mins until you see to landmark of Panda crawling backside on the top of IFS, Chengdu. Cross the road if go IFS; dont cross the road if you want to shop at Chunxi Street. Taiko Li is behind IFS or Silver Building. The streets are bustling with people, shops/merchandise, buildings with wonderful neon lightings that surely worth your social media posts. Opposite Panda landmark is the 24hrs shuttle bus stop that goes to Tianfu Airport, vice versa at RMB15 one way. Alternatively if you have heavy luggages you can take a 1 hr cab ride to Tianfu via highway around RMB210. Plan 3 hours ahead your flight if you plan to shop in duty free. There are convenient store on your left, boutique and fruit store on right. There is a local tour shop at the hotel lobby. Any day trip arrangements to Panda Research Center, Sanxingdui Museum, Leshan, Jiuzhaigao, Er Mei Shan, Pingle Ancient Town/Tiantai Mountain, etc are available, reasonably priced, accommodating and friendly to foreign tourists. Suggestion: Extra portable heater to be available as the heater can blow and reach bed area only ya; the corner room is big and spacious. Bathroom and sofa area were cold at night.
Emeishan Fanxing Mountain House (Huangwan Visitor Center)

Huangwan Town/ Visitor Center of Mount Emei
I wish to do a fair review of my B&B stay at Emeishan. Service was spectacular. 1) The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off services from Emeishan Station (not to be confused with Emei Station), about 7-8 mins drive from the hotel. I communicated via WeChat which trains I would be on and let them know that my 1st train arrival was actually so that I could drop off my large suitcase at their place, before going backwards to Leshan for half a day, and then returning to Emeishan in the evening. Not only did they agree to send someone to the train station to pick-up, they agreed to pick up only my luggage without me needing to accompany. So I could add an additional hour to my Leshan trip. Then they came to the train station a 2nd time in the evening to pick me back to the hotel. 2) The hotel replies very very quickly on WeChat, as if monitoring it all the time. 3) The hotel could arrange ticket purchase of a show, Only Emeishan, at a price lower than what you find on the official website. 4) The hotel even left the suitcase in my room before my arrival. 5) When I told the hotel to skip preparing my breakfast as I was starting off at 7am the next day to go Emeishan (breakfast is 7.30am at the hotel), they offered to put some items into a plastic box for me to take along. 5-star service in terms of making arrangements! They gave me a really large room, and I never used the bathtub with the bath herbs, but am thankful for the upgrade. Loved it that they gave 1 gigantic bottle of water and 2 smaller ones, showing their care for pple intending to climb Emeishan. Please don't expect too much from what they call ”Afternoon Tea” included in your package. It is merely a small tray of dried/fresh fruit, so it wouldn't form a meal. But I would not be fair to readers of reviews if I didn't give a balanced review. a) The hardware is a bit tired. The wooden planks in the shower room are blackish, and there are water marks on the stone in the bathroom. b) The power sockets are not at good locations. They are at the lower parts of a wall at a random spot and nothing near the bedside. c) The lights in the room are not well-positioned. d) There was an empty bottle below the wardrobe area when I first entered the room, which was missed even on the 2nd day. e) As I'm not familiar with Emeishan, I also didn't know that 黄湾 area is not exactly the main activity area in Emeishan. That said, the hotel is a 5-7 min walk from the 黄湾 entrance/exit to Emeishan. I believe the Baoguo Temple entrance/exit would be more popular. There are several restaurants around the restaurant but the vast majority appear closed or are not occupied, so it doesn't feel very lively, whether day or night. All in all, I would still recommend this hotel as they are family owned and run. The whole family depends on your support. Support local small business and give them a chance.
