This hotel is easy to find, and its location is very convenient for dining, shopping, and getting around by taxi. The lobby is bright, and the staff are very helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and it even had a washing machine and a refrigerator. Overall, I'm satisfied and would recommend it. It would be even better if the bathroom had a door. It's not too far from attractions like Wenshu Monastery and Du Fu Thatched Cottage. However, the hotel is quite a distance from the nearest subway station.

My stay at Shifang Sanyuan Zen Hot Spring was absolutely perfect, I have to rave about it! The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so peaceful. The courtyard is tranquil and elegant, with Zen-inspired touches everywhere, making evening strolls incredibly relaxing. The private hot spring was clean and comfortable, with the water temperature just right. After a soak, I felt completely soothed and all my travel fatigue melted away. A special shout-out to the front desk lady – she was so kind and thoughtful. Check-in was fast and efficient, and she thoughtfully explained how to use the hot spring and suggested nearby attractions. She patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions, her service was truly heartwarming. The room was spotless, well-equipped, quiet, and peaceful. It’s also very close to Baoguo Temple, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, it’s excellent value for money, perfect for a relaxing getaway or a short vacation. I’ve already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back!

This hotel is an older five-star property. While some of the facilities are a bit dated and a few might have minor operational issues, the overall experience is still good. The room hygiene is quite satisfactory, and the location is particularly convenient. It's close to Chunxi Road, Taikoo Li, and also the museum, library, and science museum. Thank you.

We stayed in Meishan for a week for a sporting event. The hotel has clearly seen better days—especially compared to many newer properties in the area (aging lifts, worn carpets, etc.). We chose it mainly for three reasons: breakfast, gym/pool, and laundry facilities. 1. Breakfast The daily buffet was solid and met expectations. It featured a typical Chinese spread: hot stir-fried dishes, vegetables, meats, buns, dumplings, fried rice/noodles, porridge, plus a live station for dan dan noodles, eggs, and simple meats like sausage or ham. There was also a rotating Chinese dessert (e.g., red date with longan, green bean soup), along with some Western options like salad greens, yogurt, bread, cake, and fresh fruit. Since we stayed a full week, we appreciated the small variations. That said, we were surprised by the limited fruit selection—mainly oranges and watermelon—especially given the abundance of fresh fruit available locally. Breakfast vouchers are issued daily and must be presented before dining. 2. Gym & Pool This was the biggest disappointment. Both the gym and pool were completely closed, and the entire floor was gutted with no visible renovation activity. It looks like these facilities have been—and will be—out of service for quite some time. This was a major letdown, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. 3. Laundry There is only one washer and one dryer for the entire building. We were concerned about availability, but only had to wait once. The 15-minute wash cycle helps with turnover. However, the dryer takes a long time and unfortunately shrunk all my cotton clothing. I’d recommend partially drying cotton items and then air-drying them in your room. Package Perks We booked through Trip.com, which included a small daily package: a plate with two oranges and some snacks, complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby, and a free transfer to the high-speed rail station (must be booked at the front desk one day in advance). There were also canned sodas included, which we didn’t use. Room & Noise We were initially assigned a room facing the plaza, which was very noisy. After requesting a change, we were first told the hotel was sold out—but after some persistence, a park-facing room was “found.” This room was significantly better: quiet, bright, and pleasant, with birdsong in the morning. We were told these were actually an upgrade, and that road-facing rooms are even worse due to constant traffic noise. 4. Smart Room Features (“Xiao Du”) We did enjoy the smart room system—“Xiao Du,” which works similarly to Alexa. It can control the curtains, TV, room temperature, and lighting, which is a nice modern touch. However, it was also a bit frustrating at times—for example, it would automatically turn off the lights in the bathroom sink area. The lighting there is already quite dim and not ideal for doing makeup. It would be helpful if the hotel could improve lighting around the mirror (brighter bulbs would make a big difference), or even better, install a mirror by the writing desk near the window where there is natural light. Smoking Smoking is allowed in the hotel, and we did notice it in the lobby, elevators, and corridors. Thankfully, our room itself was fine. Housekeeping turns off the AC and opens windows when cleaning, which seems to help ventilate lingering smoke. Location & Surroundings The hotel is in a convenient area. A nearby park is lovely, with traditional structures and inscriptions related to the Su family. Within a short walk is a lively commercial plaza with restaurants, bubble tea shops, salons (I tried a newly opened nail salon), and more. Getting around via Didi is easy. Overall For the price, the hotel offers decent value. However, the closed fitness facilities were a major downside. If we return, we’d likely try a newer hotel—but this one works if you prioritize cost and location over amenities.

Pros: Very comfortable stay. I loved having a sofa to lounge on, a table to eat at while charging my devices, and a conveniently located luggage rack. The rain shower had excellent water pressure. They even provided a Dyson hairdryer and an iron, which was a nice touch. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were beautiful. The air conditioning was perfectly set and didn't need any adjustments – it's great how new everything felt. Cons: Having to switch elevators to get to the room was a minor inconvenience, but the hotel entrance and the building are separate, unlike some high-rise hotels where you might run into tourists, so I guess it's acceptable. The delivery robot was incredibly slow; it took longer than if the delivery driver had come directly to the hotel. Also, despite being on a high floor, there wasn't much of a view yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the city develop in the future.

It was raining lightly on the day I arrived, and I got a bit wet dragging my luggage. As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby, I immediately felt a sense of warmth. The front desk staff noticed me and proactively offered tissues. The check-in process was relaxed and unhurried; they didn't just rush through the procedures and even kindly reminded me to be careful of slippery surfaces due to the rain. The first impression when I entered the room was how fresh and clean it was, with no stuffy odors. The layout was simple and comfortable. The bedding was neat and soft, and the lighting was gentle and not harsh. After a long journey, coming back to the room allowed me to completely relax. The bathroom was meticulously cleaned, with all the corners well-maintained. The water flow was smooth, and the overall bathroom experience was excellent. The hotel's soundproofing was good; it was very quiet at night, and I had a peaceful and solid night's sleep. At one point, when I went out, I accidentally left my umbrella near the elevator. I thought it would be difficult to get back, but I decided to contact the front desk just in case. The staff quickly helped me check the surveillance footage and successfully retrieved my item. This small incident particularly warmed my heart. Overall, my stay was very comfortable. The facilities were excellent, but what was most remarkable was the genuine service. It wasn't just a rigid formality but sincere and thoughtful care from the heart. It's suitable for both leisure travel and business trips. It was a very pleasant stay, and I will choose this hotel again next time I visit Chengdu.

The breakfast was a delicious and plentiful buffet. The hotel also provided a convenient shuttle service to the scenic area, which was great, though it's worth noting they only offer drop-offs, not pick-ups. We had fantastic weather during our trip to Jiuzhaigou, perfect for sightseeing and photos. I'd definitely recommend visiting on a sunny day for the best pictures. There's a supermarket right across the street and the popular Lao Bing BBQ is just outside the entrance. I highly recommend this hotel!

Discovered a hidden gem in Chengdu! ✨ The Pushi Hotel Kuanzhai Alley. This Han-style courtyard, nestled in the bustling city, instantly isolates you from the noise the moment you step in. The courtyard's flowing water and guzheng music offer an immersive experience of Chengdu's slow pace of life. Kuanzhai Alley is just a few steps away, perfect for both sightseeing and dining. The room is clean and comfortable, and the smart room features provide an excellent experience. The service is attentive and heartwarming. If you're visiting Chengdu and looking for quiet yet convenient accommodation, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Choosing the right hotel really elevates the happiness of the entire trip. ✅ The front desk was very responsive, had a gentle service attitude, and check-in was quick. The room was clean and odor-free, and the bed was super soft – after a tiring day, lying down on it instantly brought relaxation. Amenities were complete, and the hygiene was meticulously done. The location offers convenient transportation and many choices nearby. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I felt very secure during my stay. I'll definitely come back again!

The hotel itself feels very old. Besides the Ibis-exclusive elevator, there are four or five other elevators, but they don't seem to be linked. You have to press the up or down button on each one, which makes waiting for an elevator very inconvenient. The air conditioning in the room was also very noisy. I stayed for two nights and ended up with several bug bites on my legs – not mosquito bites – and they're still itching five days later. The staff on the laundry floor were very nice. Seeing me doing laundry, they offered for me to leave a small card with my requests, and they would help dry and deliver it back to my room door. The lobby staff were just okay. They were incredibly slow at getting things done. I was specifically asked about room preferences, and I only mentioned not wanting a room near the elevator, yet they assigned me one right next to and facing the elevator. I don't understand the point of asking for preferences then. On my second day, even though I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on, they still called the room (and no, I hadn't ordered takeout, nor was I a robot). Also, I saw an advertisement at Shuangliu Airport for an SF Express collaboration with the hotel to help send luggage to the airport. When I asked the front desk, they said it used to be available but isn't anymore, and there was no luggage delivery service. I ended up calling myself and successfully arranged for my luggage to be sent to Shuangliu Airport.
