Family’s Most Favourite Hotel in the UK – Unforgettable Staycation Moments Holiday Inn London–Shepperton by IHG has always been our family’s most favourite hotel in the UK. Whenever my son’s school term break or a long holiday begins, this is the first place we choose to refresh ourselves and truly enjoy relaxing family time. During the final days of the Easter Bank Holiday, we once again had an unforgettable stay here, and the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wonderful experience began at reception, where a professional and welcoming receptionist, Mr. Waleed, assisted us. He kindly helped register our car plate for overnight parking and informed us that the swimming pool facility renovations had been completed. He also thoughtfully let us know that my son Matt could enjoy the pool until 7 p.m. Thanks to his clear explanation and kind arrangement, we had plenty of time to fully enjoy the excellent swimming pool, Jacuzzi, dry sauna, and steam room. It was a perfect way for both adults and children to relax and unwind. After our swim, we were quite hungry. At that moment, Restaurant Manager Mr. Nadeem warmly approached us and started chatting with my son. Matt was absolutely delighted—especially because Mr. Nadeem remembered him from previous visits. His kindness made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Even while waiting for our meal, we felt cheerful and at ease. At the end of dinner, he took time to speak with us again, encouraging Matt in his studies and sharing that his wife is a wonderful school teacher. These sincere and personal interactions truly touched our hearts. We also followed sightseeing recommendations from other hotel staff and visited nearby attractions such as Walton-on-Thames, which made our trip even more enjoyable and memorable. Once again, Holiday Inn London–Shepperton made us feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated as a family. This hotel is not just a place to stay—it truly feels like a second home to us. Quite frankly, by day 2 we had fallen in love with the place, all staff on all sections were brilliant. All facilities were clean, well maintained and up to spec. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, 2 saunas, ice plunge pool, tennis courts, orchard and children's play area. There is also archery, bike hire and even boat hire so you can have a little trip on the river. We didn't do breakfast but there is a lovely little coffee bar with pastries and for the evening meal the main restaurant operates a buffet style with about 30 options so you could try a little bit of everything. The quality of the food was also very good. Finally I'll just mention that my partner enjoyed a couple of treatments at the spa and said her experience was superb. Nice cosy cottage room with underfloor heating in bathroom, a bath and separate shower cubicle with overhead shower, a wide range of complimentary soft drinks and snacks. Lots of small but fast spiders, but expected for a cottage with lots of garden space. Service was friendly and welcoming and you can request a golf cart ride to and from different locations on the Beaverbrook grounds. 4 different restaurants to choose from. Breakfast included. Relatively expensive (3 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides, 2 desserts and a bottle of water was £200) but also expected for a place like this. Service was great. Booking a hotel room for the night includes use of the spa, no matter which online platform you book through including trip.com. Spa was a nice experience, though felt more like a health club that had spa facilities rather than a dedicated spa as I thought they would have more than 1 of each type. 1 sauna, 1 steam room, 1 jacuzzi (only 1 button worked), 1 indoor swimming pool, 1 outdoor heated swimming pool and a kids pool. Felt like they could have cleaned the leaves in the outdoor pool. Lots of choice for massages and other treatments. Gym was nice and modern. Towels, slippers and robes provided. Overall a pleasant stay.

I recently visited and just wanted to share how much I enjoyed my time. The highlights for me were definitely the swimming pool and sauna—both were incredibly relaxing and well-maintained. Thanks for a great experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Lovely hotel. Perfect location for races but also nice if not. Beautiful scenery and very quiet. Parking easy with lots of space. We were able to check in early which was great before the racing started. Bar area very nice with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff very attentive. Room was very nice in the 2nd floor facing the golf course, so fabulous View. Very clean. Beds very comfortable and the bedding top quality with the best pillows ever. Toiletries are good quality with a long lasting smell on your skin. Towels greasy , white and fluffy. We had large windows like patio doors so could open wide. Only issue was the outside bar ( was no balcony) had loads of covert and dead insects in it. Breakfast. The dining room again had a very relaxing atmosphere was bright and very clean. The food options were plentiful and of good quality and quantity. Coffee from a machine , but used fresh ground coffee , beans when choosing you options. The bar prices were quite good, didn’t feel I was being over charged and the bar staff were quick and efficient. Overall a superb stay.

If you’re looking for the ultimate getaway, Hartfield Manor is absolutely the place to be. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be struck by the incredible location; it’s perfectly situated in a spot that feels both exclusive and wonderfully scenic, making it the ideal backdrop for a relaxing break. The staff here are the real stars of the show, though. They are so genuinely welcoming and attentive that you feel like a guest of honor rather than just another visitor. It’s rare to find a team that goes this far above and beyond to make sure every single detail of your stay is perfect. On top of the top-tier service, the cleanliness of the entire manor is seriously impressive. Every room and common area is kept in pristine condition, and you can really tell the housekeeping team takes massive pride in keeping the place sparkling. Between the spotless interiors, the stunning grounds, and the warm atmosphere, everything about this stay is a total ten out of ten. You’ll honestly be planning your next trip before you’ve even checked out.

The hotel is nice and small, but European hotels do. The breakfast buffet is 12 pounds and 15 minutes away by taxi from the centre of the UK. Just ask the front desk for help. You can't take a bus or walk because the doorway of the hotel is a lane without pedestrians, which is very dangerous. Going back to the graduation ceremony, the hotel in the town is either fully booked or too expensive, so I set it a little farther. Not far away is the new lands corner, the scenery is super good, you can drive there in 5 minutes

It’s clear that attention to detail has been prioritized. One of the standout highlights was the spa. The facilities were excellent, and the atmosphere was tranquil—perfect for unwinding. The pool area was spotless, and the treatments were first-class, leaving us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Dining at the hotel was also a fantastic experience. The food was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with a smile. It’s evident that the team takes great pride in the quality of their service. Overall, I’m delighted to say that Voco Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa has more than redeemed itself in my eyes. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service. The hotel has a lovely peaceful ambience. The staff are efficient and friendly and check in has taken just minutes both times I have stayed here. This time I checked in online which sped things up. It is also nice to have people rather than machines to check you in! There is a choice of at least 3 places to eat in the hotel but bigger groups should probably book. The rooms are very spacious and clean. One slight niggle would be that I prefer a very firm mattress and didn't really like the soft topper on the bed but that really is a minor niggle. The hotel really could not be any more convenient for the North Terminal - you don't even have to go outside! Clearer signage would be better though. The first time I stayed there I had to go into the terminal to ask for directions, even though the walkway to the hotel was right next to me.

This hotel is amazing! It's directly connected to the North Terminal via a 20-meter walkway. You can literally walk indoors right into the terminal, head up to the second floor for baggage drop, then back down to the first floor for security – super easy for shopping and boarding. I'd absolutely recommend it if you have an early morning flight or one before noon. The room was spacious enough, and the air conditioning was really cold – I couldn't adjust the temperature well, so I ended up just turning on the heat! Breakfast was standard British hotel fare, good enough to fill you up. If your flight is delayed, the lobby or restaurant are comfortable places to wait. While they don't offer luggage storage, there's not much around to explore anyway if you were to store your bags. Recommended.
