I have used this place a few times for groups. This time they really fell short. There is no one in charge. Very difficult to speak to a manager. Issues with the restaurant. Short staffed. Food was too salty. Soya sauce based dishes were not edible. No one asked when sent back unfinished if there was an issue. Only robots delivering food and very inexperience staff. Couldn't order more drinks in good time. Breakfast is buffet and is very basic. Ok. It is clean. However, for £250 a room I think that it is overpriced. Thank goodness for Trip.com much better rate 2 days before the event. Baths do not drain. Taps and fittings are loose or not finished properly. Poor customer service overall, despite having 5 rooms in our group and dinner for 10. Said they would call me back. Which they have not. That was after speaking to a man who said that he was not the manager, had only worked there for 8 weeks, yet told me that I was not familiar with the service industries! Such a shame. Will have to find somewhere else next time. Not a hint of a smile or an apology or anything to say that he would feed back. 🤷

Lovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool. Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.

The room was a little musty, like someone had smoked in there, I asked for a key to open the window, I had to go down and fetch this myself (it was 1am) and the window still did not open. Nice drinks tray, with nice biscuits and twinnings tea! Heater in the room works well. Definitely in real need of refurbishing!!. Breakfast was like entering a different hotel, attentive and friendly staff, no stale smell, food was fresh and had a good selection. Coffee was nice.

At 3pm check in, the room wasn’t ready. I was asked to wait and would be advised when it was ready. The lady forgot, and I returned to the desk to check. Around 3:50pm we were able to go to the room. For my partners birthday and one night stay, we had wasted an hour waiting for the room. It wasn’t clear from exiting the lift where our room was going to be, as the rooms numbers didn’t reach the our room number. The hotel entrance was grand and very pleasant, with a pianist playing in the evening. The room walls were awfully thin, as we found out. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection and quality of the food. The location was perfect, to walk to the sightseeing spots and local amenities. Left disappointed by the customer service on arrival.

Not too bad, apart from the construction going on in the hallways on our floor and longer walks to the lift and exit stairs, breakfast is reasonable, nice lady Honey, the breakfast staff nice staff, reception staff is good, room is good. Nice view.

Good location for Alton Towers, but not much nearby. Service was mixed - duty managers were good and very helpful. Bar staff were average, breakfast staff were below average. They only have one member of staff for breakfast, which is not great if there are more than a few guests. They also charge extra for hash browns in the full English breakfast. The hotel room and restaurant were clean and tidy. Rooms do not have air con and the heating was on high, no way to turn down the radiators without assistance, but unfortunately the reception closes at around 10pm. Overall our stay was adequate but we probably won't be returning.

Wasn't actually able to stay at the hotel sdue to an error in their system. The hotel were accommodating to try and get is booked in on 3 extra dates but unsuccessful. Refused a refund on the issue. Can't say alot more other than a shame we were unstable to stay.

The casa is a very nice hotel to stay in. Check in quick and efficient and courteous staff as always. Plenty of parking spaces on site. Room has air conditioning and a good bath room with power shower. Tea and coffee available with a mini fridge for milk and water included. We had booked breakfast but completely forgot breakfast finished at 9am on a monday. I'm hoping that maybe next time we may be able to use this feature. Though to be fair we should have ordered to the room the night before for a small £5. A enjoyable stay nothing more to add.

We came to this hotel for our anniversary and asked for the same room we had before 901 , the hotel staff member Jess and the reception team went above and beyond to make this happen and even left us a lovely note and some sweets which was such a lovely thing to do. This hotel is wonderful and we love it and we will definitely be back soon.

If you want a budget hotel this fits the bill.The room was clean bed very comfortable - extra pillows in the wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities - Just of M1 - so if you are travelling very convenient. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked - good value. Staff were very polite and welcoming and will definitely stay again
