Berlin Hotels with Balcony

"I stayed in Berlin for a short weekend as a female solo traveller and got so lucky with this hotel. I was initially apprehensive due to the location but took a leap of faith because of the pictures 😅 and I would stay again! Mind you it was my second time in Berlin so I am familiar with the city, but not this area. The area is a lil sketchy at night but you just need to cross the road from the subway station (which is a main road with loads of people around!) The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, amenities provided in the little kitchenette including teabags, nescafe coffee machine etc. Room was cleaned daily with amenities topped up and front desk staff were nice. Thank you for a lovely stay, would definitely return :)"

"I really liked the location. Its excellent bus connections made getting to the city center very easy. Having bakeries and shops right nearby was also very convenient. My requests made in advance, such as for three single beds, were accommodated, which I greatly appreciated. However, there were also a few downsides. The room's carpet was very stained and looked quite worn. The pictures available online seem to be outdated and don't accurately represent the current state of the room. Another issue was the elevator; it was very narrow and felt a bit unsafe. The hotel is well-suited for travelers simply looking for a clean bed for the night. The beds were clean, and the linen was changed daily. However, be aware that the rooms are not particularly inviting for longer stays. Overall, the hotel is a solid choice for a brief, no-frills stay if you're primarily there to sleep and don't expect luxurious amenities."

"I I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable."

"Dear Team, I had asked for a room on the quiet side where I can open the window as a lung sick night. This was not possible, Because it was so noisy about the car noise that I had to finish it quickly. The air conditioning also did not bring air even though it was enabled and placed on “much air”. I didn't sleep 1 minute..... Otherwise I have nothing to challenge, all the other was top! With friendly greetings Elisabeth Weichs"

"Goed ontvangen na een lange reis vanuit nl naar Berlijn. We zijn naar potsdamerstrasse 129 gestuurd daar waar een steiger aan de voorzijde staat. Nr gebeld wat daar aan de deur vermeld hing aantal keren gebelde geen reacties. Trip.com gebeld deze hebben een kamer bij Lindemann's geregeld waarbij ik niets bij hoeft te betalen. Alsnog bedankt Ron."

"Very close to train station, good location with good views. Building is quite old, with very strong smell of paints. It doesn’t feel like a proper hotel. Room is small."

"The location is a 5-minute walk from Ostbahnhof... and right next door is Uber Arena, full of franchise restaurants. Aldi and Rebe are also nearby, and there's a Rebe at the station that's open until Sunday. The staff are friendly (one female employee in particular is simply ace. She's efficient, kind, and even beautiful... I really want to tip her), and they respond immediately to any issues. The facilities? Crazy. Much better than those vague, old hotels. The amenities, like body wash and shampoo, are all great. The hair dryer works great, and the lighting, furniture, oven, and dishes in the room are all great. Next time I come to Berlin, I'll definitely stay here. The view of the river is great, and the view from the restaurant and cafe on the first floor is also great. You can see the East Side Gallery every day. When leaving or coming from the hotel... Cons? None. I loved it throughout my 8-day stay. I wish more Koreans would visit here."

"I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and highly recommend it. The room was nice and modern with thoughtful extra touches. Service was excellent, always friendly and helpful. They handled special requests efficiently and gracefully, making the extra effort with a smile on several occasions. Only ate breakfast but the coffee was excellent and the breakfast was really nice with waited service with some healthy options. The neighborhood was charming, felt very safe and had some nice local restaurants to choose from. "

"First of all, this is not a 5 star hotel! It is listed as a 5 ⭐ on many sites, but it is a 4 ⭐ hotel. Rooms are ok size, we had comfortable real double bed (not two single beds pretending to be double). Free mini bar and coffee machine was a great add on. But no slippers. Balcony in my room was too small, but some rooms have bigger balconies, so it depends on luck what you'll get. Location is ok, but not great. Close to the metro station with one line. To go anywhere you have to go to to Zoo station first."
