"The price is very convenient, especially considering the central location and if you are traveling solo. The structure is well organized and functional. I appreciated the bathroom concept - even though it’s shared, you have your own individual space, which gives you privacy and comfort. I stayed for 6 nights and always found the bathrooms to be very clean. It was also surprisingly quiet. I was able to sleep well every night. For more sensitive sleepers, they even provide earplugs. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and well structured place to stay in Berlin."

"Cons: Upon check-in, I was given a key card that wouldn't open the door. I went back down to reception, and the staff member tried to open it too, but couldn't. It turned out the entrance was on the other side, where different room numbers were indicated. This oversight means I can't just walk into my room where the numbers are displayed; I always have to remember that my room is on the other side. Very inconvenient. There was only cold water in the shower. I spoke to the cleaning staff about this, but they didn't speak English. And yes, the hostel is designed with many rooms, all connected by a single corridor, which also includes toilets and showers. There are some shower stalls (with a sink and shower) where the door is so short that there's a gap at the bottom, near your feet, which is very uncomfortable. It was exactly in one of these showers that there was no hot water, which, to put it mildly, infuriated me. I also reported this issue to reception. There was no power outlet by my bed. I had to charge my phone at the outlet near the window (which is a common area, and my neighbor had spread out his belongings, so I had to reach over his stuff to get my phone at night). I've attached a photo. This is inconvenient and uncomfortable. I also reported this to reception (specifically, that my bed didn't have one). Pros: Free postcards for tourists (+ various discounts) There's always a lively bar downstairs with many people hanging out. Stylish corridor decor. Honestly, I am very disappointed with this hostel. I stayed at this hostel chain in Vienna, and it was amazing; everything was thought out to the smallest detail. Moreover, each room there had its own shower, toilet, and sink, which is a big plus. Here, everything is quite basic and poor; the building is very old and needs renovation and updating."

"I stayed in a capsule room, specifically one with 16 capsules. It was pretty quiet at night with no one talking, so the guests were very considerate. The capsule doors open with a card and can be locked, which was super convenient for leaving personal belongings inside while I went out. There were also extra lockers available. Inside the capsule, there were two USB charging ports, one Type-A and one Type-C, which was very handy. If that wasn't enough, there was also a power strip outside the capsule. You do need to make and unmake your own bed. Regarding the washrooms: There are two large bathrooms. One has a shower and a toilet, and the whole room can be locked, though it did have a bit of an odor. The other bathroom has two toilets and three shower stalls. The toilets can be locked individually, but the showers only have curtains. If you're looking for a good price and some privacy, I highly recommend the capsule rooms. However, I wouldn't recommend coming during hot weather as there's no air conditioning and ventilation inside the capsules is just okay."

Hotel near Kreuzberg,Berlin
The ibis budget Berlin City Potsdamer Platz is centrally located and ideal for business trips and budget-friendly city stays solo or with family. Excellent public transport connections and quick access via the A100 make arrival very easy. The hotel features 217 rooms, free WIFI, 24-hour reception desk, breakfast, snacks, drinks and paid parking.

"Where to begin? First off, the bed system is very clever; we were comfortable. However, the room is small, the toilet is small, the bathroom is small, and there's no fridge. But thankfully, they have luggage storage. Our room was quiet and peaceful, with a lovely view of the garden. Lidl was very close by, and both the A and U metro lines were nearby. What more can I say? The price is reasonable…"

"The hotel is close to the tram station. The layout of the room however is a bit weird. The shower area is directly next to the bed, meaning that everyone in the room will see you naked when you leave the shower. This is a concern, especially when you are travelling with friends."

The hotel is near the famous Alexanderplatz; unfortunately near the bridge of the U-Bahn. The smell of pee outside is off putting to say the least. The hotel and rooms are clean, unfortunately there’s carpet everywhere. So you can’t really tell. It’s not hygienic. The rooms are a little small, there’s little space to empty your luggage and nowhere to actually put it. The plug situation in the room is ridiculous. In a double room, there’s only one plug near only one of the beds. In the shower, there’s nothing to place your own shampoo and conditioner and so on. The TV doesn’t have any mirrorcast/airtv options to screen something from your phone/tablet, and most of the channels are in German.

The biggest advantage of this hostel is its location. Alexanderplatz is incredibly convenient for travelers, with many key attractions within walking distance. There's direct public transport to the main train station and the airport. A distinctive feature of this hostel is the large number of young teenagers, giving it a summer camp vibe with groups of young people everywhere. The common area is on the ground floor, featuring a pool table and shuffleboard. They offer a paid breakfast in the morning and have a small, lively bar in the evening. The room itself is standard, with a sink inside. The toilets and showers are acceptable. One of the toilet doors was a bit broken but still usable. Hand soap is provided, but there's no shower gel or shampoo. Breakfast includes sausages, bread, coffee, milk, tea, apples, tomatoes, and cucumbers. You can also pay extra for grilled sausages and fried eggs. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10 AM, and hot water is available.

I stayed one night at A&O Berlin Mitte during a solo trip, and once again, it proved to be my favorite place in Berlin. I chose a twin room and was really impressed: the room was spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable. It's not a luxury hotel, but it offers everything you need for a pleasant stay, with excellent value for money. The facilities are welcoming, the staff is helpful, and the location is convenient for getting around the city. Every time I return to Berlin, I choose this hotel and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for practical, comfortable, and reliable accommodation.

This is a very big hostel with hundreds of beds, though it did not feel cramped or loud. I had a quiet stay.   I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed dorm with three bunk beds and en-suite. The toilet and shower are separate which makes use easier. Hanson’s and shower gel is included, as is a hairdryer.   The room is spacious with tables and seating areas, this is also of use to those who on the top bunk who cannot sit on their bed as easily.  There is a mirror though a lack of hooks being only a hook and couple of hangers. The bed is of a metal frame and thus I was able to apply my travel straps and hooks to create places to hand my coat and bag. There is a locker big enough to take hand luggage sized bag (own lock needed).  The bed has a usb port for charging and a slot into which a phone will fit, though no individual light. The room has two lights and it is possible to turn on only one; the other people in my room came in and out at unsociable hours though we’re all respectful being quiet and also putting in the main light.   The mattress and pillow are comfy enough, you need to collect linen and make the bed yourself.  Everything was clean.  Reception is 24 hours though checking us via one of the 4 automated screens. It is through the machines that you do check in and pay tourist tax and the machine prints paper with your allocated room and bed number. You even activate the room card yourself. There is a sign in the desk with a map of blocks with room numbers in each one. That is all the welcome that you get; there is no explanation related to hostel layout or facilities. I had to ask in which direction to go to get to my block, the receptionist gave my directions and once I got to the room and found no bedding on the bed so went back to reception. The check in computer screen states that bed linen is provided free of charge and towels can be paid for at reception. The receptionist did not give me any bedding nor point to where to where to pick it up some thus I assumed the linen would be laid on the bed as in other hostels. The next day a person arriving in the room asked where he gets bed linen, he also did not get given any bedding even when talking with the receptionist. I do find it odd that you are expected to ask for the bedding: as this is the case I recommend updating the wording on the computer screen as it is ambiguous and gives the impression you only need to ask at reception if needing a towel.  There is a guest kitchen which has basic equipment: fridge, sink, microwave, 2 hot plates, 2 frying pans, 1 saucepan, some plates, bowls and some cutlery. There was one mug in which I made a cup of tea by heating water in the microwave. I recommend a kettle to boil water. The kitchen is sufficient for simple meals, making breakfast and sandwiches. I did not try the hostel breakfast.  There is one common area near reception with a bar and possibility to purchase food. Vending machines there. WiFi reliable. The common room can feel cramped when groups are there. There is good security as all entrance doors and lifts use card access. To access the guest kitchen ask at reception and they update your card.  The location is very good being 5 min walk from Ostkreuz train station. It is a direct line to Messe Nord where the bus station and FlixBus stop is. Easy to get public transportation into the cities. There are many shops, supermarkets and eating places nearby. Vegan kebab shop directly opposite.  Good value for money. I had a comfortable stay with no difficulties and I would stay again.

Everything was great! The location is convenient — you can quickly get to any metro station by tram. There is an option to borrow dishes and everything you need for a deposit, which is later returned. It’s clean and comfortable. The only downside is that there are no air conditioners in the rooms.

I stayed there myself in a 4 bed dormitory room. It was an excellent room and I liked the service. But it is better to have a socket near the bed for charging. They have two usb charging ports near every beds but it is better to have a c port or a charging socket. But overall, I liked it. Especially the staffs are always helpful. I am highly recommend it to whom who are looking for a cheap accommodation😊

The reception is handled by friendly older ladies who are very busy for the good of the guests. In the room everything is there: beautifully draped towels on the bed, shower gel, liquid soap for the handwash in the bathroom. The breakfast was better than I thought: fresh breads, cheese, S*****en, sauce, eggs, cakes, etc. Only the bag tea was a little old. But otherwise everything was OK, even table waste containers were available. The hotel has been on the buckle for several years and the furniture is a little detached, the bed was crazy and the shower was not quite clean. I was stayed in the upper floor. There it smells something after cold cigarette smoke, although it is a non-smoking hotel. That was very unpleasant for the receptionists. Finding a public parking for the car was a nightmare so I accepted the offer for a parking place behind the hotel. It was well lifted there.
