"Very good core location, no noise. The room is high, the design is reasonable, with a separate bathroom, dry and wet separation. There is a cabinet with a door card lock in the room, which is very safe. The front desk helped us arrange a room with a girl in the absence of a girl's dormitory according to our requirements. The garden is great too, everything is fine anyway! Highly recommended."

"I would rate this hotel 3.5 out of 4. Its location is excellent—right in the heart of Alexanderplatz, surrounded by public transport, plenty of food options, grocery stores, and nearby sights. However, through no fault of the hotel, it sits very close to a church whose bells ring extremely loudly at 8 a.m. every morning. Even with earplugs, I was woken up daily. The front desk staff were friendly, check‑in was easy, and I really appreciated the keyless entry system using door codes—one less thing to worry about misplacing. The room itself is a smart use of space for a short stay or for travellers who mainly need a place to rest rather than spend long periods inside. I liked the bunk bed for one child above the main bed, and the convenient light switches by the beds. The pillows, however, were a real disappointment—completely lacking firmness. My travel partner didn’t use theirs at all, saying, “It’s no use pretending it’s doing anything.” I’d recommend requesting extra pillows unless you prefer sleeping very flat. One thing I wasn’t aware of beforehand is that the shower is not enclosed behind a bathroom door. If you’re sharing with people you’re not fully comfortable with, this could be an issue. You may need to coordinate shower times so others can step out. The toilet, at least, is in its own separate space. The shower has a combined hair/body wash, but there’s no complimentary body lotion or tissues. I didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that, and there’s no complimentary coffee available. I would stay here again if it weren’t for the church bells. If you’re a deep sleeper, it may not bother you, but light sleepers should be aware."

"We spent two nights here and were very pleased: great value for money, an excellent location just a few minutes from Potsdamer Platz with convenient connections, and the rooms – though simple – are very clean, functional, and well soundproofed. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked efficiently, and the staff, from check-in to check-out, were courteous, helpful, and quick. Clean common areas, stable Wi-Fi, and the option for a late arrival were also a plus."

"This is a very big hostel with hundreds of beds, though it did not feel cramped or loud. I had a quiet stay.   I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed dorm with three bunk beds and en-suite. The toilet and shower are separate which makes use easier. Hanson’s and shower gel is included, as is a hairdryer.   The room is spacious with tables and seating areas, this is also of use to those who on the top bunk who cannot sit on their bed as easily.  There is a mirror though a lack of hooks being only a hook and couple of hangers. The bed is of a metal frame and thus I was able to apply my travel straps and hooks to create places to hand my coat and bag. There is a locker big enough to take hand luggage sized bag (own lock needed).  The bed has a usb port for charging and a slot into which a phone will fit, though no individual light. The room has two lights and it is possible to turn on only one; the other people in my room came in and out at unsociable hours though we’re all respectful being quiet and also putting in the main light.   The mattress and pillow are comfy enough, you need to collect linen and make the bed yourself.  Everything was clean.  Reception is 24 hours though checking us via one of the 4 automated screens. It is through the machines that you do check in and pay tourist tax and the machine prints paper with your allocated room and bed number. You even activate the room card yourself. There is a sign in the desk with a map of blocks with room numbers in each one. That is all the welcome that you get; there is no explanation related to hostel layout or facilities. I had to ask in which direction to go to get to my block, the receptionist gave my directions and once I got to the room and found no bedding on the bed so went back to reception. The check in computer screen states that bed linen is provided free of charge and towels can be paid for at reception. The receptionist did not give me any bedding nor point to where to where to pick it up some thus I assumed the linen would be laid on the bed as in other hostels. The next day a person arriving in the room asked where he gets bed linen, he also did not get given any bedding even when talking with the receptionist. I do find it odd that you are expected to ask for the bedding: as this is the case I recommend updating the wording on the computer screen as it is ambiguous and gives the impression you only need to ask at reception if needing a towel.  There is a guest kitchen which has basic equipment: fridge, sink, microwave, 2 hot plates, 2 frying pans, 1 saucepan, some plates, bowls and some cutlery. There was one mug in which I made a cup of tea by heating water in the microwave. I recommend a kettle to boil water. The kitchen is sufficient for simple meals, making breakfast and sandwiches. I did not try the hostel breakfast.  There is one common area near reception with a bar and possibility to purchase food. Vending machines there. WiFi reliable. The common room can feel cramped when groups are there. There is good security as all entrance doors and lifts use card access. To access the guest kitchen ask at reception and they update your card.  The location is very good being 5 min walk from Ostkreuz train station. It is a direct line to Messe Nord where the bus station and FlixBus stop is. Easy to get public transportation into the cities. There are many shops, supermarkets and eating places nearby. Vegan kebab shop directly opposite.  Good value for money. I had a comfortable stay with no difficulties and I would stay again."

"The price is very convenient, especially considering the central location and if you are traveling solo. The structure is well organized and functional. I appreciated the bathroom concept - even though it’s shared, you have your own individual space, which gives you privacy and comfort. I stayed for 6 nights and always found the bathrooms to be very clean. It was also surprisingly quiet. I was able to sleep well every night. For more sensitive sleepers, they even provide earplugs. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and well structured place to stay in Berlin."

"The place is quiet and the staff are nice too. Our room is clean and heater is working good. However it is a bit far from the main train station 700m especially pulling 3 big luggages with us. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay and able to get our groceries and food from nearby supermarkets for our dinner."

"Hotel staff brilliant, bar open all night if you want to drink you can no problem. For the price of the hotel was very good service. Little things like free snack on arrival also free water. Room was clean, bed was warm okay got good enough sleep. Let us check in 2 hours early absolutely brill free of Charge. So the price of the hotel was worth it. Area was good around there food/drinks bars. If you didn’t want to go into main town. Also cheaper Only 10-12 euro into berlin Main bit. There’s bus, taxis depends what you prefer"

"The hotel is near the famous Alexanderplatz; unfortunately near the bridge of the U-Bahn. The smell of pee outside is off putting to say the least. The hotel and rooms are clean, unfortunately there’s carpet everywhere. So you can’t really tell. It’s not hygienic. The rooms are a little small, there’s little space to empty your luggage and nowhere to actually put it. The plug situation in the room is ridiculous. In a double room, there’s only one plug near only one of the beds. In the shower, there’s nothing to place your own shampoo and conditioner and so on. The TV doesn’t have any mirrorcast/airtv options to screen something from your phone/tablet, and most of the channels are in German."

"Hotel with good rooms standard for Ibis network. They took a room with the balcony, the places were enough, separate the sauna. The location is very convenient, near the metro station and shops/restaurants. Breakfast is good but always the same"
