Cairns Hotels with Bars

"This hotel is centrally located on the esplanade, and this is its main plus. In everything else, in my view, it loses out to the Hilton , to which I moved after a few days. My room smelled to the extent it made me feel unwell. The two swimming pools they boast are a joke. In the first glass pool, you are fully exhibited to everyone on the esplanade, which is why no one swims. In the second one you can't swim if there's anyone else in the pool, it's that narrow. The spa is a private massage joint. I was given a parking spot with no remote the first day, and allowed to park as an exception - their parking is too small to accomidate a hotel of this size. It has no ev charging. The breakfast is nowhere as good as the Hiltons. In any case I fixed all these problems by moving."

"Room is clean, but bathroom has a very strong smell of bleach cleaning product unpleasant. 1:Tea ,coffee ,sugar and cookies (amenities) in the room isn’t filling it up ( top up) . The small packet milk in the bar fridge is frozen, drank coffee and tea without milk. 2: Level 4 where we stay had too much noise from traffics. 3: Breakfast is very average, disappointed no congee and No mushrooms. How there serve a bacon , eggs, sausages and baked beans but no mushrooms! 4. A very limited selection of pastry and continental breakfast. 5. The good thing of this hotel is location is very good !"

"Since we stayed for multiple nights, different housekeeping staff cleaned our room each day. Some were very responsible and thorough, while others were a bit sloppy. The facilities are a bit old, but everything else was great. The environment is absolutely beautiful, and with several swimming pools, the kids had a fantastic time. Overall, it was still quite good."

"The room was very clean. However, I can hear a lot of noise in the next room, probably because the walls are a little thin. I woke up around 3 o'clock in the middle of the night with the sound of the shower in the next room. It took about 40 minutes to walk to the center of Cairns. It was hard to walk in the hot sun, but it was a good exercise. It was good that everyone in Pront was polite. Even before check-in, he was willing to keep his luggage and arranged a taxi."

"I stayed here twice - the first time, an ordinary room, the 2nd time, I thought maybe the Horizon Club might be a higher level. Before I say anything, I may choose to stay again for the location! This property is not 'Shangri-LA' as you would expect - the windows are all dirty which is disappointing for 'Marina View' rooms... The Horizon lounge furniture is closer to school lunch hall style, and the dinner - well, I don't eat in food halls with sausage rolls and spring rolls. We ate in the main street which was AWESOME!. The ping pong table is bent, bats are without surface, and the air hockey machine without pucks.. Basically a 'cashing in on the brand' experience..."

"Mixed Experience – Great Location, Poor Internet & Breakfast Setup The hotel is in a great location, and the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Facilities like the car park and lifts were well maintained and met expectations. However, as business travellers, the internet connection was a major letdown. The hotel appears to rely on a hotspot system, which was extremely unreliable—slow speeds and constant disconnections all weekend. Streaming services such as Netflix were unusable, and even basic browsing was frustrating. To make matters worse, the remote control had nearly dead batteries and worked intermittently. We were also disappointed with the rest and breakfast experience. After early starts each day, we were hoping for some quiet downtime in the afternoon, but this was hard to enjoy given the other issues. The weekend breakfast arrangement felt misleading. Instead of onsite breakfast, we received a $20 per person voucher to a nearby café. While the café was pleasant, it only opened at 7:30 am on weekends—not ideal when you're starting work at 6:30–7:00 am. And realistically, $20 doesn’t go far at most cafés these days, so it felt like a cost-cutting workaround rather than a genuine breakfast offering. On a positive note, Clara at reception on Saturday was professional and kind—she did her best to assist, though unfortunately there wasn’t much she could do. It seemed like her manager may have been present but avoided getting involved, which was disappointing given the situation."

"Great hotel in an amazing location in Cairns. Close to everything. Hotel is brand new. Only two issues: - The room had a weird smell over the course of my trip (probably due to the air conditioner) - The pool is too small compared to the size of the hotel Other than that, a great stay and can’t recommend enough"

"This hotels wins the first place among other hotels on our Cairns trip! Brand new with mazing staff who are always there to make your stay perfect. The hotel has four pools in this nice courtyard area facing the beach, so you can swim with the view. Yet, the pools are not crowded at all. Family pool doesn’t look like, yet it is shallow with sand, little fountains and everyone seemed to have fun in there. Rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. Balconies are made for outdoor use with furniture and even night light. The view is worth the price!"

"Location is perfect as it’s on the Cairns Esplanade.Bars and eating places are accessible and within reach.Watch the beautiful sunrise through the coconut palm trees so lovely. Front desk staff very friendly.Would love to go back back there."

"The hotel is a good location walking distance to Bars and restaurants It is very dated and in need of a revamp old lifts We got checked in but was disappointed to Find out that the hotel was under construction and that there was no pool they did provide transport to another hotel but we just went to the public one Fresh towels were provided daily but the bath had not been cleaned or washed out The bathroom is small can’t fit two people in at the same time"
