"Absolutely delightful! We stayed here for 2 memorable nights. Right from the moment we entered, we were warmly greeted by the staff who immediately made us feel very much at home. The staff were attentive and patient. They had even gotten their handyman to take a look at our luggage wheel which got damaged during the flight Check-in was really easy and hassle-free. We were very fortunate to get an upgrade to our booked accommodation and got a bigger room with same lake view. Our room was clean and very quiet and heard no noise at all. Standard amenities were available in the room with complementary mineral water (4 bottles) and soft drinks (coke, sprite). Do book a room with lake view as the view is incredible! We can see the lake from our room sitting on the nice sofa which is placed next to the window. Breakfast was at the nice revolving restaurant at the 20th floor. Good variety of Chinese local food with more limited choices of western salad and Japanese sushi. The ceiling to floor glass window offers an unparalleled view of West Lake. No frets if cannot get a seat with lake view as sooner than later that West Lake comes into view after a while. Check-out process was just as simple. We would LOVE to come back to stay with 友好饭店 when we come back next time!"

The hotel’s location by West Lake is unbeatable. We loved being able to step outside and enjoy peaceful morning walks with stunning lake views. Our room was elegant, comfortable, and beautifully prepared, with small details that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a highlight every day, offering both international and local Hangzhou dishes that were fresh and delicious. The service team was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. What stood out most was the care and hospitality throughout our stay. The team made sure every moment was smooth and enjoyable, creating memories we’ll cherish forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our honeymoon in Hangzhou. "Location is perfect! Infront of the hotel is metro. Room was clean. So surprise with the towel steriliser inside the room! Everything is good! Plus plenty of water bottle infront of the lift for every floor. Will come back! And was also surprise the room has fridge 🥰"

"This is my third time staying at this hotel. The surrounding facilities are very convenient, right next to the train station, and dining is easy with many shops nearby. It's also right by West Lake, perfect for an evening stroll. Hangzhou is too hot during the day, but the evening temperature is just right for a walk. The robot delivery service is incredibly fast. Breakfast is on the 26th or 25th floor, and it's so pleasant to sit outdoors enjoying the beautiful West Lake view while eating. Unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken this time, and I'm used to having a cup of coffee in the morning, so I ended up ordering delivery later. Other than that, everything else was great."

"I've visited Hangzhou many times, and each time, I only stay at the Grand Hyatt. It always amazes me how checking out never takes more than two minutes there! Just as I stepped out the main entrance recently, a manager rushed out after me and said: ”Madam, I've noticed you're a frequent guest whenever you're back in China. I'm very sorry that a couple of days ago, there was a slight delay in delivering the amenities you requested.” (Honestly, it was perfectly understandable – I was about to head out at the time, and even though it was delivered a bit late, I didn't say anything. In fact, I even smiled and thanked them for their effort; I hadn't even given it a second thought myself!) Me: ”Wow, that's incredibly thoughtful of you! It was something I hadn't even paid attention to. May I ask for your name?” He then handed me his business card and told me to contact him anytime before my next visit. Every time I visit Hangzhou, I only stay at the Grand Hyatt. It's truly the only hotel that feels like a home away from home whenever I'm back in the country. Although the hotel has been around for some years, and despite both being international brands, I personally feel that compared to the somewhat mechanized service at hotels of the Ritz-Carlton caliber, Grand Hyatt Hangzhou offers a more personalized, human touch without sacrificing its high standards. The doormen always greet guests with a genuine, gentlemanly smile when opening the car door. A local friend always suggests I try other hotels in the city for a different experience, but with such consistently excellent service from the Grand Hyatt, I simply can't bring myself to stay anywhere else!"

"Great location. Nice room layouts. Very good breakfast. There is a mall across the street with everything you might need. Also, the area has alot of nice walkways that are like mini-parks. Great for hitting 10,000 steps. The breakfast has all the high quality standards, such as smoked salmon, omelettes and more, but they also had a few local delicacies that were brought to our table. One surprise was that the package we bought included a dining coupon. I ordered it out of curiosity, and it was surprisingly very good."

"## 1. Location & Transportation The hotel is housed in Hangzhou's iconic 'Big Golden Ball' landmark (Raffles City), boasting unparalleled panoramic views of the Qiantang River! It's a mere 5-minute walk to Citizen Center Station on Metro Line 4, a 15-minute taxi ride to West Lake, and 20 minutes to Hangzhou East Railway Station. With Raffles City and MixC Mall right next door, it's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. However, traffic can get quite heavy around the area during evening rush hour, so taking the metro is highly advisable. ## 2. Room Facilities & Hygiene I stayed in a River View King Room this time. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the Olympic Sports Center, and the night view was absolutely breathtaking! The facilities, while not brand new, are exceptionally well-maintained: the mattress was perfectly comfortable – neither too soft nor too firm, there was a separate bathtub and shower, and the toiletries were Byredo's 'Mojave Ghost' (a very sophisticated scent). Hygiene was impeccable, with attention to every detail – even the glass windows were spotless, not a single fingerprint in sight."

The hotel is also in a great location, right next to a wetland park, perfect for an evening stroll."
