"I rarely write hotel reviews, but my stay this time was truly amazing, an absolute steal, and definitely worth revisiting! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Zhejiang University and West Lake, easily accessible by a minimum fare taxi ride. 😀
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the room! It was spotless, and the bathroom had a wet/dry separation. It's equipped with voice control, automatic curtains, and a smart toilet, all easy to operate. The mini-fridge was also very practical. The entire room features smart controls; just say 'Xiao Du Xiao Du' to activate them, giving it a very high-tech feel.
The hotel staff were attentive and friendly, and they even allowed me a late check-out. The room had great natural light, very bright and pleasant. It's definitely recommendable, and the breakfast quality was also quite good. Overall, a perfect experience!"

"Overall, my stay was great and offered excellent value for money! The only minor drawback was that Didi (ride-sharing service) couldn't drop me off directly at the hotel entrance, but besides that, everything else was very satisfactory.
The hotel's location is super convenient; it's very close to the subway station, and right outside the hotel is Hefang Street. It's incredibly easy to go shopping, experience Hangzhou's historical and cultural atmosphere, and enjoy a comfortable stroll.
The room size was just right, and the tatami bed was very comfortable. The overall environment was clean and tidy, making for a very relaxing stay.
The staff were all very friendly and had excellent service attitudes.
Overall, it's a hotel with a great location, good service, and a reasonable price."

Seeing Hangzhou's sights from this hotel is easy with Hangzhou Grand Canal Cruise, The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (Hangzhou Section) and Zhejiang University(Xixi Campus) all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Hangzhou hotel offers parking on site. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.
"I'd heard great things about Backpacker Ten Years (Beibao Shinian) for a while, and experiencing it in Hangzhou definitely confirms it's the best hostel in China. Check-in starts at 2 PM, and they provide a bottle of water, slippers, and a towel – things many other hostels don't offer, but Backpacker Ten Years does. The first floor has a bar and social common area, the second floor is a reading space, and the fourth floor is for accommodations. The environment is really clean. I also experienced a strong hostel culture here, playing Werewolf and going out with new friends. My two-day stay was so enriching, I'll definitely choose Backpacker Ten Years again next time!"

"I've stayed at Holiday Inn Express several times now, and it truly lives up to its global chain reputation. The staff are well-trained, professional, and courteous. The hotel environment is clean and tidy. The location is also quite good: right across from the high-speed train station and Chengzhan subway station, so you can easily cross the road to catch a high-speed train or subway, making getting around very convenient. The only downside is that getting a taxi can be a bit roundabout due to the one-way street in front of the hotel. However, if you walk out from the right side of the building, you're on West Lake Avenue, and it's just a 2km+ walk to the lakeside, perfect for those who enjoy walking. Despite being by the road, the hotel's soundproofing is excellent, making it very quiet. The breakfast offers a mix of Chinese and Western options, catering to various tastes. From the breakfast restaurant, you can even see West Lake – I saw many international guests while having breakfast!"

"Excellent value for money! I chose a single room, and the space and functionality were perfectly adequate. The restrooms are separate for men and women and are very clean! The common areas are spacious, and there's even a snooker table. Plus, there's an outdoor balcony area – it's great to sit outside with a few friends and chat when the weather is nice. The location is also fantastic; you can walk to the subway and West Lake, and in the evening, you can feast at the Wulin Night Market! If I come alone again, I'll definitely choose this place."

Guest UserThis hotel has a manor-style resort vibe and is wonderfully quiet, which I really appreciated. Its location is quite central, making it easy and quick to get to nearby attractions by taxi. There was a minor hiccup with the room upon check-in, but the staff were very responsive and resolved it quickly. Even during a public holiday, the service quality didn't drop, and there was no queue for breakfast. It's a shame it rained every day during the Dragon Boat Festival's plum rain season; I hope for sunny weather next time!

First day minibar experience: Plenty of Nongfu Spring water!
First day welcome fruit: Peaches were hard. Haha.
Service: The hotel has a shuttle bus to the high-speed rail station, which is great. It's about 50 meters straight out from the exit. The schedule is fixed, so you need to plan ahead. It's still more suitable for self-driving.
Surroundings: It's very convenient to get to Pixiu Town. There are hot air balloons, go-karts, and water activities. There's also a beer museum to visit with many activities inside, the VR is quite good. However, it's inconvenient to go to other places.
Suitable for a vacation if you don't want a crowded experience.
Facilities: Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools are available.
Cleanliness: Relatively clean.
Special Feature: There's an instant noodle bar from 9 PM to 11:30 PM. It gets so crowded it makes you question your life choices.

The front desk service was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, just 50 meters from the subway station, making it very convenient to get around. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. The front desk even helped upgrade my room, which made my stay very pleasant. Thumbs up!

Nik ParksWe had an amazing stay here. The apartment is light, spacious and airy. The bed is huge and really comfortable and the shower and bathroom are also lovely. Having a kitchen with utensils, hob and microwave meant we could cook in the evenings which is a huge plus.
Breakfast was included in our stay and it was varied and tasty with some western options, fresh noodles and omelettes, fresh fruits and salads, bread, cheese, pastries and amazing coffee and fresh juices.
We used the pool several times (remember your swim caps!) and it was large and really nice for a swim.
The location is great. It's close to the West Lake area. We walked there and back which was about 45mins each way, but it's also very easy to jump in a Didi to venture further around to see the Tiger Springs or Nine Creeks and Misty Forest areas which are really beautiful.
The staff were very helpful. We arrived a little early and they checked us in straight away and very promptly answered all my questions. We asked for a late check-out and we were generously accommodated which was an added bonus.
Oh - and the lobby and hotel smell amazing too!
We will 100% stay here again when we return to Hanghzhou and would highly recommend it to other travellers if you'd like some luxury alongside home comforts.

I discovered Xixi Xin Hotel while searching for a peaceful escape, and it exceeded every expectation. The architecture is breathtaking, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern luxury in a way that feels elegant, authentic and incredibly calming. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional.
The suites are beautifully designed with natural, eco-friendly materials that create an instantly grounding atmosphere. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a Marshall speaker with a curated selection of nature sounds—waves, birds, rustling leaves and crackling fire—setting the tone for complete relaxation. The bathroom is equally impressive, with beautiful curtains opening to a soaking spa prepared daily with fresh rose petals and natural bath salts. Thoughtful touches such as soft linen loungewear and complimentary disposable swimwear made the experience feel effortlessly luxurious.
Service is truly five-star. Each suite is assigned a personal butler who is attentive, responsive and genuinely committed to making your stay effortless. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the hospitality was warm, personal and sincere.
I was initially hesitant about the vegetarian restaurant, but it was one of the highlights of my stay. The dishes were nutritious, beautifully presented and worthy of fine dining, while still being surprisingly filling. For those who prefer meat, there are also excellent restaurants nearby.
The wellness program is outstanding, with daily yoga, Tai Chi, sound baths, traditional Chinese medicine consultations and other healing experiences. Classes run for around an hour and are led by knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about your wellbeing, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience.
With only around 8–10 suites, the hotel remains wonderfully quiet and intimate, allowing guests to completely disconnect from the outside world. After just three nights, I left feeling genuinely relaxed, grounded and restored.
A rare hidden gem that combines exceptional architecture, thoughtful design, impeccable service and meaningful wellness experiences. If you’re looking for a peaceful five-star retreat focused on luxury, wellness and tranquillity, I couldn’t recommend Xixi Xin Hotel more highly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Guest UserFirst off, the bedding in the room was incredibly comfortable – out of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one's my favorite. The bathroom amenities were also top-notch, and they smelled great. Secondly, the service was truly excellent. After checking in, I added Mia, my butler, on WeChat. She was online the entire time and even thoughtfully provided fruit and a souvenir. I genuinely recommend this place to everyone.

I wanted to take my kids on a summer vacation but didn't want anything too strenuous, so I chose this Club Med. I heard it's an all-inclusive resort perfect for younger children, though maybe not so much for those over 10.
I booked a two-night hotel pre-sale package through Ctrip (including breakfast and tickets to either Xixi Wetland or Lingshan Fantasy), with a 400 RMB surcharge for weekend bookings. The hotel called the day before to confirm and said they'd add my WeChat for future communication, but they never did. They also didn't mention adding a butler service during check-in, which is something other hotels do better.
The hotel looks quite new and spacious, with most activities located on the basement level. For a hotel with a higher price point that prides itself on all-inclusive services, I was surprised to find that many entertainment options and parent-child activities required additional fees, and they weren't cheap either. This was a bit disappointing. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there's a mini-show, and on Sunday evening, there's a Chashan Qing performance. The shows make the evenings pass quickly. During the day, we mainly rested in the room and occasionally visited the mini water park, where the kids had fun in the water. The indoor children's playground is quite small and suitable for very young children; older kids won't find it very engaging.
On the first day, we didn't want to go out for dinner, so we chose the hotel's Chinese restaurant for lunch. The dishes were mediocre, the portions were small, and the prices were not cheap. For dinner, we opted for the hotel buffet. The weekend prices were higher than weekdays, costing 328 RMB per adult and 218 RMB per child over 4 years old. The prices were a bit high. For the buffet, children are charged by age, not height. What can a child under 120cm really eat? The variety of dishes was also quite limited. For example, there was only one spicy flavor of crayfish, and the other dishes were just so-so. The mark-up felt excessive. For adults and children who don't eat sashimi and such, the value for money was very low. Since my child can't eat raw food, they pretty much only had some vermicelli soup at the buffet.
The evening amusement park games were also very perfunctory; I didn't feel like playing at all. When I finally found a craft activity and sat down to try it, a staff member immediately came over with a POS machine, ready to charge me. 😂

johnnnnny_I chose the Grand Hyatt for my internship in Hangzhou, and overall, it was a good experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the lake view was beautiful. I recommend prioritizing rooms on the 8th floor, as they offer more space. The hotel is a bit older, so the facilities feel a little dated, and the air conditioning wasn't very strong – I hope they can optimize that in the future. Getting around by taxi can be a bit tricky due to traffic and one-way streets, so it's good to plan ahead. The service was very attentive, and the staff were all enthusiastic, especially our concierge Cecilia (Cao Kaixuan), who was patient, meticulous, and communicated promptly throughout our stay, making us feel very well cared for. The breakfast quality was also good, and the juice was delicious. We even received a cute squirrel doll as a welcome gift, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I recommend it.

The balcony is very spacious, offering a panoramic view of the fountains ⛲️ and the entire lawn, giving it the feel of a large flat villa. Plus, it's pet-friendly, though a cleaning fee applies!
