"This hotel offers good value for money, especially given its location near West Lake. It's conveniently located, and the room I booked had an outside window. The soundproofing isn't anything special, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a gym, laundry room, and a spacious terrace. It was quite relaxing to sit on the rocking chair there and enjoy the breeze. The room itself had all the essential facilities, and the service was very thoughtful. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay."

"We booked a family room, which was ideally located in Building Two. The room was spacious with a huge bed, and the lake view from the window was absolutely stunning. The room's facilities were excellent, and it was spotlessly clean and tidy. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome fruit platter including passion fruit, blueberries, and mangoes, along with some pastries. We also received complimentary snacks and drinks. The staff's service attitude was exceptional. When they learned that someone in our group was celebrating a birthday, they specially prepared a small cake and delivered a rose to our room. They were incredibly accommodating to almost every request. The breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a wide variety of dishes, and the dining environment was also beautiful. For dinner, we dined at the Ziwei Hall, which requires advance reservation. As a two-diamond 'Black Pearl' restaurant, the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, especially the whole 'West Lake Vinegar Fish,' which was incredibly delicious. The 'Plum Sauce Pork Ribs' were also very good. We ordered eight dishes for five people, and it was just right. Although it was expensive, it was definitely worth it. The restaurant also decorated our table and provided a complimentary small cake and longevity noodles for the birthday celebration, which was fantastic. The hotel at night was very quiet and dark, perfect for staying in your room. The hotel in the morning was beautiful, with distant views of Leifeng Pagoda and Su Causeway directly opposite. Nearby are Quyuan Fenghe and Huagang Guanyu (Viewing Fish at Flower Pond). A morning run in the gardens was wonderful, followed by a climb up Dingjia Mountain to see where Chairman Mao once studied. The transportation was also very convenient. If driving, there's parking available. Taxis and ride-hailing services can drop you directly at the reception in Building Eight. For public transport, you can take Metro Line 3 to 'Huanglongdong Station' and then walk about 4.4 km. Alternatively, take Line 1 to 'Longxiang Station' and walk about 6.6 km along the beautiful northern side of West Lake. Or take Metro Line 7 to 'Wushan Square Station' and walk about 5 km along the southern side of West Lake to experience the beauty of Nanshan Road. Overall, our experience at the West Lake State Guest House was superb! It felt like sleeping on West Lake itself. The quality and attitude of the service staff were outstanding. We will definitely choose to stay at the West Lake State Guest House again on our next trip to Hangzhou."

"The hotel environment is decent. As an older hotel, the facilities are well-maintained, though naturally not as new as recently opened hotels. You have to go down to the first floor to pick up takeout, as there are no robots. When we first entered the room, there was an indescribable odor. We contacted the front desk, and they immediately sent someone to resolve it. They even asked if we wanted to switch rooms, but since we had a child, we didn't bother. The service attitude was good, and they even gave my child an InterContinental teddy bear. Overall, it was a pretty good stay."

"The stay in Zhejiang Hotel was fantastic! Fengqilu metro station is just 1min from the hotel, very convenient. The breakfast was good with alot of variety. We love the live station, the noodle station was good. The room helper has left a short note to inform us she has added additional bottles. We also received other complimentary items from hotel staff too. The hotel reception staff were very helpful, they help us to book the linying temple admission slot via their local number, as we were unable to book via our foreign mobile line. We would definitely stay back in this hotel if we stay in Hangzhou again."

She was consistently prompt, friendly, attentive, and went well beyond what we would normally expect. We have stayed at many hotels over the years, including luxury properties, but it is rare to encounter service that feels so sincere and genuinely caring. No request seemed too small, and every interaction was handled with remarkable efficiency and warmth. We would also like to commend the entire hotel team. The buggy drivers were always courteous and helpful, making it easy to get around the expansive grounds. A special thank you as well to 王文浩, who kindly helped facilitate a last-minute 快递 arrangement for us, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel itself is a hidden gem. While West Lake is beautiful, many areas around it can become very crowded. Xizi Hotel provided a peaceful sanctuary away from the crowds, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of West Lake in a much more relaxing and comfortable setting. The stunning lakeside scenery, tranquil gardens, and spacious grounds made every day a pleasure. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the combination of outstanding hospitality and an unbeatable location made this trip especially memorable. This hotel truly matches its pictures and offers great value, especially considering it's located right in the scenic area! 📍Location: The hotel is right on the Southern Song Imperial Street pedestrian area. A few minutes' walk brings you to nearby Hefang Street, Leifeng Pagoda, Drum Tower, snack streets, Hu Xueyan's former residence, West Lake, Phoenix Mosque, and Deshou Palace. There's also a Lawson convenience store, tea houses, coffee shops, Starbucks, and a Hao Xiang Lai supermarket with various eateries near Metro Exit C – all quite affordable! For those arriving by taxi or driving: Set your GPS to the hotel's back entrance – Guangfu Road No. 57, or Hao Hostel parking lot! Metro 🚇: A 4-6 minute walk to Ding'an Road Exit D/C [Strongly recommended]! 🛏️ Room: The hotel rooms are cozy and clean. It's been quite hot in Hangzhou recently, so the room felt a bit stuffy. Rooms come with bottled water, coffee, and tea bags. You can see a nice view from the window – a villa area across the way offers a unique charm. 💁 Service: The front desk staff were very warm and friendly. We arrived early before check-in time, and they kindly extended our check-out by 2 PM for free. If a room is available, you can check in early; otherwise, they offer complimentary luggage storage. Overall, the value for money is quite high. There's a lobby where you can chat, and it also has a coffee machine and tea bags. If you're visiting Hangzhou, you can confidently book this place. Plus, if you want to explore more after checking out, the hotel offers free luggage storage. "An unexpected, yet interesting hotel! If you're driving, be sure to contact the hotel in advance for parking information. The hotel is on the 5th floor, and all rooms are on that level. After taking the parking garage elevator up, you'll see a projection wall. Turn left, cross a small bridge, and you'll find the front desk. Inside the rooms, there are three steps, and sensor-activated nightlights. The entire place is very clean. Breakfast options are limited, but they offer freshly made mini wontons, cold noodles (liangpi), and other noodle dishes."
