"Stayed in the NEW Deluxe Queenbed Room. The room comes with a queen-size bed and a smart TV (YouTube, Netflix, etc. available — just log in with your own account). Got a room on the 8th floor: fast Wi-Fi up to 30 Mbps, and a wonderful night sky view. Highlights: Varied and delicious breakfast. A complete menu is available — appetizers, buffet breakfast, egg corner, Asian and Western dishes (photos attached). Very strategic location, close to a mall, Brawijaya University, and Muhammadiyah University. GoFood and GrabFood friendly. At night, there are tons of great food options nearby — from penyetan, martabak, red fried rice, and more — all within 0–30 minutes delivery range. "Staying at Regents Hotel Malang was both comfortable and incredibly convenient, especially for my planned visit to Mount Bromo. The hotel’s location made it an ideal base, putting me within easy reach of the mountain for an early start on the sunrise tour. The lobby and general atmosphere of the hotel had a welcoming warmth, blending modern comforts with traditional Javanese decor. My room was spacious and well-equipped, with a window view that overlooked beautiful gardens, offering a peaceful spot to relax after a day of exploring. The hotel restaurant was another highlight, featuring a diverse breakfast buffet that ranged from freshly baked pastries to local specialties. This made it easy to grab a filling meal before heading out for a day of adventure. The hotel staff were helpful as well, providing tips on the best routes to Bromo and even assisting with transportation options. Overall, Regents Hotel Malang offered a convenient and comfortable stay, making it easy to explore Bromo and enjoy the beauty of Malang!"

"They have variety of food for the breakfast which is great. However, the cafe of the hotel (Napa Eatery & Bar), was not as great. Food took 30mins to serve when my family is the only one there for dinner. The taste of the food was not really on par with the reviews that I've seen. The hotel services is not as great. They reassured us that they will provide the things that are not in the room (example: iron for ironing clothes), but, we did not receive it."

"I had a good stay here. The receptionist was friendly, the room was spacious even though it's an old property. We loved the pool because the water was warm. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. We would come back next time."

"Nice property, not in a central location. Spacious rooms, large and comfortable double bed. The cleanliness wasn't the best; there was dust on the floor and in the corners of the room. Complimentary water, coffee, and soft drinks were provided free of charge in the room. Excellent staff, very kind, helpful, and above all, smiling. Superb breakfast. Every dish was delicious and always refilled. Small gym where you can do some exercise, and a pool on the ground floor for relaxing."

"This was my first time taking my infant on a road trip, and we chose Grand Mercure Malang based on its strong reputation and positive reviews. I'm happy to say that the experience lived up to expectations. The room we stayed in was clean and offered a spectacular mountain view. Upon arrival, we were initially assigned a room that was still being cleaned, but the hotel staff quickly realized the mistake and rectified it promptly. We also requested a baby crib, which was delivered shortly after without any issues. The bathroom was well-stocked with amenity kits, and there were plenty of clothes hangers available. The shower pressure was strong and very comfortable. I made use of the gym and swimming pool during our stay. The gym was well-equipped with a squat rack, a full set of dumbbells, a cable machine, and two benches. The swimming pool was pleasantly warm, which made for an enjoyable experience. Our room included breakfast, and there was a wide variety of food options available. The service throughout was kind and respectful. I would say the barista at the coffee counter could benefit from more training to improve their cappuccino-making skills, but it was still acceptable. I will definitely return to this hotel for future stays. I've also included some photos to help others considering booking here. Thanks again to the Mercure Malang team for a great stay!"

"The location is just off the main street running through Malang, makes the hotel less affected by traffic noise. One of the minor drawbacks of this hotel is the lobby drop off area and minimal availability of parking onsite. The friendliness and helpful customer service can be felt as you step into the hotel, from the security to the receptionist and workers all radiating warm smiles. Our check in process was smooth, we were assisted to find an available room for early check-in before 1pm . The restaurant staff was also attentive and courteous. The hotel felt relatively new, only a couple years old and in great shape. The bedroom had semi firm but comfortable mattrass, with abundant pillows. Delightfully we got a 55” LG Smart Tv, with the to-date streaming services available (Netflix, Disney, Prime, Vidio, Youtube) and also cable tv showing international channels (AXN, Japanese, Arabic, etc). The room felt very cosy for resting after a long day's work or travel. The bathroom, although only had showers and no bathtub, gave great water pressure and hot water. The only complaint from the hotel is perhaps due to the connecting door, we can hear the other room's door closing and opening loudly as well as some talking from the other room. Hotel had an interesting gym for good workout, rooftop cafe/restaurant. Didnt try any of those facilities for this trip but hopefully for my next trip. This is my second stay at 101 and look forward to returning again. Also, right across the hotel is a Sara Bakery, which serves good cakes and bakery products, and has a full restaurant menu also."
