"Overall it is a good choice. The breakfast is the most perfectt thingsss over others.The staff is friendly and helpful. The boss/manager himself made sure everything was adequate and under control. Thanks a lot, and will be come again in the future. About acommodation & cleanliness, the wall was peeling causing the floor to be full of paint dust, probably because the wall was right on the mirror so water got through the cracks. Also in the toilet, there are no walls (just thin mirror wall) and only a curtain between the shower area and the outside floor, so the water will overflow until it pools, and because the place is quite low, the water cannot reach the water passage. That's all. Thankss"

"Stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Overall, the place was clean and looked new. Room was clean and relatively spacious.
There were only a few, small issues that prevented this from being an all 5 star review.
Firstly, sound proofing was bad. I could hear what my neighbours were watching on TV at night, and as we were facing the pool, we could also hear when people were running around there.
Secondly, the lifts were really slow and narrow for a seemingly new hotel. The first day I arrived, 2 out of 3 lifts were not working. And the lifts themselves were very narrow and uncomfortable to be in when there were more than 5 persons in the lift.
Lastly, the kettle provided in the room was faulty, it didn't stop boiling unless you pressed it manually, making it a bit dangerous for guests who are unaware.
But like I said, these just irked me, and other guests may not feel the same way. Overall still a very pleasant stay and good amenities all around."

"Located in main business street Malang, stay in Santika hotel is always a pleasure. I was welcomed with a basket of fruits and a moment later some afternoon snacks send to my room as complimentary as well, what a sweet welcome from Santika Hotel. "The location is okay, close to the train station, but sometimes the train horn can be quite noisy at night. The mosque's loudspeaker is also quite audible during every call to prayer. The main point is that the rooms aren't very soundproof. Overall, it's still acceptable."

"Lovely hotel. It's a 35-minute walk from the train station, and also a 35-minute walk from the city center (colorful village, temple, historic district). The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was included and featured an Indonesian buffet. There's a small pool on the terrace. Good value for money."

"We arrived as early as 11AM and thankfully given early check in. Any hotel that did this is 5 stars in my book!
Room and bathroom were clean. Drinkable water can be obtained from dispenser in the hallway. Breakfast was nice! Great selection of food, snacks, pastries, cereals, etc.
Hotel location is in the heart of the city. Probably the only minus point was, as a property the hotel is not the most spacious, so less parking area available. Bunch of cars tend to queue in the morning picking up the outgoing guests."

HHook OneStayed there for 3 nights. Check-in was quick. Room amenities were just average and I noticed the bath towels were clean but need to replace as it looked slightly ”brownish” and slightly worn.
Breakfast was just average selections. And selections did not change for the 3 nights I stayed there.
However, it was a nice hotel and welcoming.

DDan SumardaniThe hotel is quite good and relatively cheap. I just want to highlight some of the things that can be improved easy and quick. One of those is the double secured lock that is broken in the door. It make the stay a little bit unsecured.

AAncientBackpackAria Gajayana is very well located adjoining a major mall, which is very convenient for dining options. It is a short ride into the centre of town. On the other hand, there is a mosque nearby that starts up at 3.30 and doesn't relent. So if you like sleeping, this might not be the best option.
The rooms are fine, if a bit dated. The shower had extensive mould along the grout lines. I watched the cleaning staff one morning and they did a very thorough job.
Breakfast is extensive. The pool is large and clean.

The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, and the hotel's quiet location away from the main road was a plus.

Pros: Very large room with a cool mountain wall mural. Clean bed and decent amenities. Excellent location walking distance to the train station, the Rainbow Village and the Blue Village.
Cons: The bathroom tub had some black mold spots. Breakfast started a bit later than 6 am, which was an issue due to early morning travel plans. Still, for the price, it’s great value.

GGuest UserThe hotel looks ordinary from the outside, but the interior is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and will do their best to assist with any questions you may have. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms aren't new, but they're perfectly serviceable, as is the case with most hotels in Indonesia. Across from the hotel is a shopping mall with Burger King, Starbucks, and a supermarket, making it very convenient. The breakfast is mainly local cuisine, though perhaps with careful attention to the spiciness. Most of the dishes are quite enjoyable and tasty, but the Western options are limited. Next to the restaurant is an outdoor swimming pool, making it fun to watch other guests enjoying the water while dining.

AAmy_17Great location and large room. The hotel is a historic building but the room looked old and a bit run down. Personally I didn’t like that the window looked out on the exterior walkway and sitting areas with a light so if the curtains are open for natural light everyone can see inside.
It should also be noted that the pool is used for children’s swimming lessons so it can be busy at times and doesn’t have a lot of space for guests to relax.
The cafe out front is a favorite with good service and food.
