Malang Hotels with Gym

"They have variety of food for the breakfast which is great. However, the cafe of the hotel (Napa Eatery & Bar), was not as great. Food took 30mins to serve when my family is the only one there for dinner. The taste of the food was not really on par with the reviews that I've seen. The hotel services is not as great. They reassured us that they will provide the things that are not in the room (example: iron for ironing clothes), but, we did not receive it."

"Stayed there for 3 nights. Check-in was quick. Room amenities were just average and I noticed the bath towels were clean but need to replace as it looked slightly ”brownish” and slightly worn. Breakfast was just average selections. And selections did not change for the 3 nights I stayed there. However, it was a nice hotel and welcoming."

"The hotel looks ordinary from the outside, but the interior is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and will do their best to assist with any questions you may have. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms aren't new, but they're perfectly serviceable, as is the case with most hotels in Indonesia. Across from the hotel is a shopping mall with Burger King, Starbucks, and a supermarket, making it very convenient. The breakfast is mainly local cuisine, though perhaps with careful attention to the spiciness. Most of the dishes are quite enjoyable and tasty, but the Western options are limited. Next to the restaurant is an outdoor swimming pool, making it fun to watch other guests enjoying the water while dining."

"Hotel didn't have an elevator but they were quick to transfer my family and I to a ground level room as my dad had walking difficulties. Overall great service & staff, will stay again in the future."

"The hotel is strategically located right in the heart of Malang city, next to a mall and a stadium. The room was clean and the service was quick. I stayed with my family for 2 nights during our trip to Bromo. The food at the cafe was also delicious, especially the pecal and coffee. Fantastic!"

"Stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Overall, the place was clean and looked new. Room was clean and relatively spacious. There were only a few, small issues that prevented this from being an all 5 star review. Firstly, sound proofing was bad. I could hear what my neighbours were watching on TV at night, and as we were facing the pool, we could also hear when people were running around there. Secondly, the lifts were really slow and narrow for a seemingly new hotel. The first day I arrived, 2 out of 3 lifts were not working. And the lifts themselves were very narrow and uncomfortable to be in when there were more than 5 persons in the lift. Lastly, the kettle provided in the room was faulty, it didn't stop boiling unless you pressed it manually, making it a bit dangerous for guests who are unaware. But like I said, these just irked me, and other guests may not feel the same way. Overall still a very pleasant stay and good amenities all around."

"The location is just off the main street running through Malang, makes the hotel less affected by traffic noise. One of the minor drawbacks of this hotel is the lobby drop off area and minimal availability of parking onsite. The friendliness and helpful customer service can be felt as you step into the hotel, from the security to the receptionist and workers all radiating warm smiles. Our check in process was smooth, we were assisted to find an available room for early check-in before 1pm . The restaurant staff was also attentive and courteous. The hotel felt relatively new, only a couple years old and in great shape. The bedroom had semi firm but comfortable mattrass, with abundant pillows. Delightfully we got a 55” LG Smart Tv, with the to-date streaming services available (Netflix, Disney, Prime, Vidio, Youtube) and also cable tv showing international channels (AXN, Japanese, Arabic, etc). The room felt very cosy for resting after a long day's work or travel. The bathroom, although only had showers and no bathtub, gave great water pressure and hot water. The only complaint from the hotel is perhaps due to the connecting door, we can hear the other room's door closing and opening loudly as well as some talking from the other room. Hotel had an interesting gym for good workout, rooftop cafe/restaurant. Didnt try any of those facilities for this trip but hopefully for my next trip. This is my second stay at 101 and look forward to returning again. Also, right across the hotel is a Sara Bakery, which serves good cakes and bakery products, and has a full restaurant menu also."
