"We were freezing in our room air come did not work properly and only received a bed sheet on our bed!! Breakfast and coffee was the worst I had in years big shame for Italy!!! Would not recommend paying for it"

"This hotel was supposed to be a 4-star, but when I got there, they said they upgraded me to their 5-star place because of some change in plans. So, what I'm writing about is the 5-star hotel, and I'm totally grateful for the upgrade! The hotel, even though it was old, was super clean and had awesome services like massages and personal stuff. My room was pretty big, the bed was clean and comfy, and breakfast was amazing. The only issue was they said there was private parking, but they just parked my car in the lot next door and charged me 30 euros for one night until morning. The parking fee wasn't mentioned anywhere."

"This Holiday Inn in Genoa truly impressed me! The rooms boast a decidedly modern design, yet are tastefully adorned with classic oil paintings, murals, and exquisite decorative touches. This instantly imbues the space with a rich artistic ambiance, making it feel like a truly aesthetic haven where contemporary style meets timeless art. Setting a high standard for service, every interaction, from check-in to room service, showcased professionalism and genuine care. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable, resulting in a flawless and truly perfect stay. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, offering a wide and varied selection to satisfy every palate. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, making getting around incredibly convenient. The only minor drawback was the slightly convoluted route to the parking garage, but this small issue absolutely pales in comparison to the overall excellence. The entire experience was flawless, and I will undoubtedly choose this hotel again on my next trip to Genoa!"

"The appearance of the hotel was very good. The reception area was very clean and quiet. Each floor had an automatic air freshener which meant that the hotel smelt very good. The hotel room had a lovely big bed which was very comfortable. There was a fridge and kettle in the room. The hotel was a twenty minute bus ride from the center of Genoa and once we had downloaded the app it was very easy to buy tickets. The number 1 bus is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and the bus is every 11 minutes. We discovered a lovely area to eat on the day we left. Leave the hotel and turn right. At the traffic lights turn right . After about three minutes you will find a shopping area with restaurants. We were short of time so went to Tumbler. The staff were very friendly and we had lovely panini. On the negative side, we were woken at 6am with a male shouting very loudly in his room. Later that day, the man was shouting again. I went outside our room and the man was shouting very loudly at a lady in his room. There was a very clear domestic abuse situation with the man hitting the woman which I tried to stop and also contacted reception. Reception asked the lady if there was any problem and she said no so the receptionist left. I said to the receptionist that the man was being violent towards the woman and she said there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could put security on the floor in case anything further happened and she said no. I felt the receptionist could have done a lot more in this situation. I imagine that these situations do occur from time to time so the hotel should give staff guidance on the steps to take to safeguard clients. I felt that the staff at the hotel were not very welcoming. I saw at least four receptionist and not one of them smiled or looked happy to be working. Any time I approached them for information they gave the information but without smiling and were very unenthusiastic.. I would stay at the hotel again as it is convenient for the airport and quieter than staying in the centre. It is also very clean and I got a good night's sleep. Be aware, we booked a taxi from the airport which is 1.1 km away and we're charged 18,50 euros."

"The staircase is a highlight, the food at Giotto restaurant is quite good, the location is very convenient, there's a shopping street downstairs, there's valet parking, and the rooms are quite spacious."

"The hotel is very old-fashioned, the key is still the original kind with teeth, it is not allowed to go out, it is estimated that I am worried about losing Guo copy. The elevator is grid, it will tremble when it stops, the curtains are very dirty, a layer of gray visible to the naked eye, and the bedside board is loose. Hotels at the same price are completely several grades higher. The only better thing is that it is close to Prince Square, and the nearby trains, subways and buses are more convenient."

"It takes 5 minutes to transfer to the center circle of the pier, subway and train station. The hotel is clean and well-equipped. Along the seaside line, you can reach the Maritime Museum and Diving Aquarium. During the period, you can enter the retired submarine, making it suitable for family travel."

"Albergo Astro is extremelly well located, in the 5th floor of an old glamorous building close to the train station and to the center of Genova. The personnel speaks italian, but can easily understand travellers that only scratch a bit of italian. I had the feeling as if I was staying in the house of a big family. The place is very clean, and room is clean everyday. Good place to stay for the price."
