"Must have expirience in Japan. Room was huge and comfortable. There was an AC and air filter in the room. View from the window was beautifull. Personel was very helpfull and traditional breakfest and dinner was an exrraordinarry expirience. The only minus of the hotel was bad small, mostly in the bedroom. It looks like The hotell fights with it best it can but it seems like its because its and Old traditional building. Anywayes it was an amazing expirience. I definitelly recomend you this hotel."

"Arriving at the train station, I found out the shuttle bus for the hotel wouldn't arrive for another 45 minutes, so we opted to walk there. It takes about half an hour but going uphill in the blazing sun was a bit torturous. The driveway is also very steep, so beware if you have a lot of baggage. Hotel has a wealth of history. It hosted a lot of famous guests in the early 20th century. Modern hotels are sterile in comparison. It's an old building, so is draughty and full of ancient furniture. This may be a turnoff for some but I found it completely charming."

We stayed overnight and had two meals. We enjoyed the meal in the evening. The hotel is right next to the 28th station. We took the A bus from Tobu Nikko Station. We took the C bus by mistake. It stopped at the 26th station and did not go further. We walked from the 26th station to the 28th station, which is about 7 or 8 minutes."

"I came here for a family trip and I am satisfied. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by bus from Tobu Nikko Station. The hot spring water is good because it is a sulfur hot spring. The food is also delicious and it is a good place for a family trip."

"Amazing experience out in the woods. Perfect for families and couples as you can go into onsen together. Women typically wear a towel in the mixed onsen, while men use a small towel for modesty while walking between baths. Lunch is available in the main hall. "The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring.
