"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The restaurant was excellent, and every meal was delicious and well prepared. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made it easy to relax. Most of all, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, always making me feel welcome. Thanks to their hospitality, my stay was truly enjoyable, and I would definitely choose this hotel again in the future."

"The hotel is conveniently located and the room had a nice traditional design. However, I encountered a strong smell in the room, which made my stay uncomfortable. I burned incense to improve the air, which unexpectedly led to a dispute with the hotel about compensation. The amount they requested was surprisingly high and difficult for me to understand. Eventually, the issue was resolved through the booking platform, but the experience was stressful and not something I expected on my trip. I hope the hotel can handle such situations with more flexibility and understanding in the future"

"Awesome! Very very satisfied with our stay at Pomelo. There’s location is great, we are just a few minutes walk from Thamel, 20 minutes walk from Sayambhu, 10 minutes taxi from Balaju… Now the service, it was the best part in the inn, the staff is really very friendly and accommodating, thank you Gyanu and Kamal who helped us for everything during our stay. We booked two rooms as a family, but we got one big family room with separated rooms, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was big and proper to use. The breakfast is the best one we had in Kathmandu, fresh and simple. There is a rooftop, from where we took a bowl of air in the evenings and mornings, really nice."

"Everything was just perfect! Had I known this hotel earlier, I kist have been stayed longer. The buffet food was exceptional. The service they gave was outstanding. I had a problem with my bath tub and fridge but both were solved quickly. Location is exceptional. In less than a minute, you’ll find numerous souvenir shops and restaurants. You can even walk to Durbar Square and Monkey Temple like what I did! My room with the bathtub and balcony was supra relaxing, the bed was ultra comfy. The garden cafe is a plus. Will definitely book here again. Highly recommended!"

"I chose to stay here again after my trek because my first stay before the trek was so comfortable. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and the hotel environment is peaceful, unlike the noisy Thamel area. The staff's service made me feel genuinely warm and welcomed; they even proactively helped me communicate with the local driver when I was getting a taxi. I'd love to book this place again next time I'm in Nepal."

"As a Chinese traveler who has stayed at several hotels in Kathmandu, I absolutely have to write a detailed review and heartily recommend this gem of a hotel to all my compatriots visiting Nepal! First and foremost, what truly impressed me was the impeccable cleanliness – a rarity in this region. I've stayed in many local hotels where yellowed, musty towels were the norm, but this place was entirely different. All the linens were sparkling white and felt crisp and fresh, matching the hygiene standards of high-end hotels back home. It made me feel completely at ease. Not just the rooms, even the public restrooms in the lobby were spotless and odor-free. The attention to detail surpassed many star-rated hotels, which, as a Chinese person, instantly made me feel a sense of familiarity and reassurance. The hotel owner is incredibly kind. Not only is he handsome, but he speaks Chinese even better and more fluently than many of my Chinese friends, making communication completely seamless and smooth. He’s more like a thoughtful elder figure; whether it's planning itineraries, exchanging currency, booking taxis, or asking about local food and entertainment, he patiently answers every question and tries his best to help with any request. Throughout my stay, I felt incredibly well-cared for, completely dispelling any sense of unfamiliarity in a foreign land. The biggest surprise was the authentic Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, specializing in Sichuan cuisine – the flavors were stunningly genuine! As a Chinese person who loves spicy food, it was an absolute delight to find such authentic Sichuan dishes in Kathmandu. The numbing, spicy, fresh, and aromatic notes were perfectly balanced; every bite tasted like home. It was on par with proper Sichuan restaurants in China, and I happily ate there multiple times without getting tired of it. It truly cured my Chinese craving. Overall, from hygiene and service to dining, everything far exceeded my expectations. To find such a clean, caring, and 'taste of home' hotel in Kathmandu was truly fortunate. I strongly recommend it to all Chinese travelers visiting Nepal; it will undoubtedly be the warmest haven during your journey. The next time I come to Kathmandu, this will still be my top choice!"

"Very clean comfy room, and well located within the Thamel area. As for the service, 5 for the hostel staff Rupak, who was extremely helpful and responsible (with all measures making sure I was the owner of my luggage before returning it to me when I lost the luggage tag); that said, I’m not fond of the person-in-charge at the travel agency under the same company, who turned rude upon knowing I’m not gonna use his service on the last day."

"We stayed here many times. The hotel is showing its age, but the staff more than makes up for it with CLEANLINESS AND KINDNESS. This is my home in Nepal and we stay here at least 4-5 times a year. Easy access to Themel and walking to airport 300 meters."

"Service staff were very friendly and helpful. Amazing hospitality and very welcoming. A manager did provide very misleading information when convincing us to book a car to our next location- he lied about the type of vehicle (said we were paying for a ‘luxury’ car. We were unaware of the road conditions to our next location and a ‘luxury car’ would have been inappropriate which he obviously knew). This compromised our view of the hotel management a bit, but, despite this they were very good."

"Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!"
