The price doesn't quite match the value, but considering its downtown location and the fact that it's a traditional courtyard house (Siheyuan), I can understand it. The room was very small with tiny windows, located right above the front desk, and the stairs were very narrow. The location, however, was pretty good; nothing felt too far away. It was also a nice way to experience life in the local hutongs.
Wonderful hotel located at the heart of the hutongs, next to Nanluogoxiang hutong which is very famous for its food and night life and shops. The hotel is clean, the people are kind and helpful and they helped connect us with a driver to plan our Great Wall of China day trip. Also, they have been very kind keeping our bags after check out until our flight! Would definitely recommend.
The lady at the front desk was very welcoming, and the room was spotless. The location is excellent; the front desk staff even helped me find a parking spot. Anzhen Hospital is right across the street, and the subway station is only 100 meters away on foot. The rooms are equipped with smart devices, and the projector comes with a membership already set up. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
The room was perfect for a winter stay, with convenient heating and air conditioning. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. The location is great, very close to attractions like Gulou Street, the Drum Tower, and the Bell Tower.
Environment: The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the scenic area. There's a great ramen shop downstairs. Our largest room was quiet, but the soundproofing wasn't great.
Cleanliness: It was okay; they cleaned daily. However, the suite's bathroom had an odor. The receptionist gave us an extra electricity card to use for ventilation when we went out.
Service: We opened the windows every time we went out. The day we went to the Summer Palace, there was a sandstorm, and when we returned, the staff had closed the windows for us, which was very nice.
Facilities: The hotel seems to be located in a low-rise alleyway; the lack of an elevator was inconvenient.
On a business trip to Beijing, I chose this hotel for its convenient location. It's within the Second Ring Road, so transportation is excellent. In springtime, Beijing's flowers are in bloom, and it was lovely to take a walk around Shichahai. There are also many great eateries nearby, like Honghua Dim Sum Bureau, Zigongyuan, and Huguosi Snacks, all just a few minutes' walk away. The room had electric curtains and a smart speaker (Xiaodu), and the cleanliness and service were both excellent.
Facilities: Clean and tidy, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom.
Environment: Quiet surroundings, and conveniently located right next to Gulou Dajie subway station.
Service: The front desk staff were very responsible and helpful. They assisted me enthusiastically when I needed help around 6 AM on May 9th.
Hygene: The housekeeper on the first floor was diligent in cleaning the rooms and promptly met guests' needs.
Highly recommend staying here for a great experience!
The hotel facilities are new and clean. The 24-hour self-service laundry room is very convenient. Although the hotel is located in the heart of Shichahai, it's nestled in a hutong, which keeps it away from the noisy tourist areas. If you want to experience Beijing's hutongs, I absolutely recommend this hotel. The hotel's security guard was also very enthusiastic, helping us get a taxi and directing traffic without a hitch.

This hotel in Beijing really exceeded my expectations for this business trip. For the price, it's absolutely top-tier. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. It's located at No. 15 Xueyuan South Road, just a 5-minute walk from the West Gate of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), and a 10-minute shared bike ride to Xizhimen subway station. There's a Wumei supermarket and a few restaurants downstairs, which makes getting food and supplies super convenient. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the hot water was plentiful and came out quickly, and the WiFi signal was excellent, perfect for working. The soundproofing was much better than other hotels I've stayed at in the same price range; I barely heard any noise from the hallway at night. It's highly recommended for anyone visiting BUPT or exploring Shichahai. The value for money is outstanding! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Beijing.
Having traveled all over the world, this is one of the coziest, most comfortable places with the best service we've ever stayed at! Xihai has hardly any tourists, allowing us to witness the most authentic Old Beijing lifestyle by the lake. Plus, it's very close and convenient to all attractions like Shichahai. We ran into trouble getting a SIM card and didn't make it back in time to retrieve our clothes from the washing machine. To our surprise, when we returned to the hotel, the lovely lady at the front desk had already hung them out for us!
Additionally, on our first day, the front desk attendant helped us carry all our luggage up to the second floor. Because we had so much, she even upgraded our room! Room 201 had an expansive view and abundant natural light. We were so comfortable we were even happy to spend an entire day just relaxing in the hotel room, soaking in the leisurely pace of Old Beijing.
Ultimately, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by another day, and the front desk staff helped us get a discount on the room. It’s truly one of the best hotel experiences we've had so far!

GGuest UserWhat a pleasant surprise this stay in Beijing was! Located on Yandai Xie Street, this hotel, formerly a century-old bathhouse, perfectly blends ancient charm with modern intelligence. It's within walking distance to Shichahai, Gulou, and Nanluoguxiang – a quiet oasis in a bustling area with super convenient access to public transport, including a nearby subway station.
The room's design is elegant, and the zero-pressure mattress provided an exceptionally restful sleep. The pillows were so comfortable that I've already recommended them and plan to buy some for myself. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, from the high-quality amenities to the stylish old photo wall.
The service was impeccable, from the check-in guidance to the recommendations for exploring the hutongs. The front desk staff and the cleaning aunties were all incredibly warm and attentive.
Excellent value for money! I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Beijing. Highly recommended!
Nnadasa12Excellent! I initially thought the room might be a bit small based on the pictures, and given the price point compared to other places I've stayed, I didn't expect much. But this stay was fantastic! The staff member who checked me in was very meticulous in explaining the room's facilities.
First off, the location is great for taxis – very easy to find and no worries about traffic jams, which is a huge plus for drop-offs and pick-ups.
Secondly, the facilities are complete, very new, and everything works smoothly. The lighting is bright, which was a pleasant surprise for someone like me with poor eyesight and a bit of a germ phobia. It truly exceeded my expectations.
Thirdly, compared to other courtyards I've stayed in, the decor here has its own unique character, and the breakfast reminders were a nice touch.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in Hutongli. The walking distance from Jishuitan Hospital Navigation to the main road to the hospital is a bit far. The girl at the front desk was very helpful. She even upgraded the double bed to a twin bed for free. When I went to the hospital, the girl showed me the path. It's much closer. The sanitary conditions of the hotel are pretty good. There is no breakfast, but the surrounding area is very convenient for eating. However, the price is much higher during the tourist season than usual. We stayed for ten and a half months and the price-performance ratio was not high. We checked out after staying for one day.
FFloraxiangchuquwanThe room was great! I saw some negative reviews saying it was small, but for the room type I stayed in, I didn't find it to be small at all. The bathroom was a bit tiny, but that's because they added a bathtub 🛀🏻, and they even provide disposable bath bags and bath salts every day. For us, traveling in Beijing, this setup was incredibly thoughtful, especially since my legs felt like they were about to give out every day from all the walking 😂. The service was also excellent. On the first day, they helped us carry our luggage, and every day they greeted us with a smile. Plus, there's free laundry service, and the afternoon tea was also very good!
GGuest UserThis is a really unique hotel for families, with a highlight being the shadow puppet show. The teacher explained the production and performance details in depth, and you could even go backstage for a hands-on experience, which is perfect for kids. Plus, there were a lot of foreigners – if you're a social butterfly, you could definitely strike up a conversation and practice your English!
The only slight inconvenience is its location in a hutong; it's about a 15-minute walk from the subway station. However, it's quite easy to get a Didi ride from there.
GGuest UserBeijing Le Meng Hotel was an excellent experience! The quadrangle courtyard is charmingly old-fashioned, full of old Beijing character. The location is super convenient, right next to Houhai and Gulou. The room was cozy and clean, and the service was attentive. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe room was spotless and well-maintained with excellent facilities. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and check-in was quick and efficient. The location is also very convenient for getting around. My friends and I had a wonderfully comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserCame to Beijing for a two-day trip with two friends and wanted to experience staying in a Beijing Hutong. We blindly chose the family room at this hotel. The location is super central; we used shared bikes for both days and found it very close to the Forbidden City, Nanluoguxiang, Houhai, and Yonghe Temple. The room was very clean (forgot to take pictures upon arrival), and the facilities were complete. The front desk even gave us complimentary fruit. Breakfast was a set meal per person, very rich and well-balanced. There were many foreigners staying at the hotel, probably all wanting to experience a siheyuan. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.
AAguazhiwangBooked a parent-child room, one bed is 1.8 meters, the other is 1.2 meters, no pressure to sleep with a big baby. Clean and hygienic. Good location, very close to the subway entrance, a few more steps to Nanluoguxiang, ride a bicycle to Jingshan Park, Prince Gong's Mansion and Lama Temple. There is a Qingfeng steamed buns shop next to it, which is very convenient for eating. The room is well soundproofed and very quiet to sleep. The only drawback is that the room facilities are a bit old.
GGuest UserThe former Wangfu, the courtyard house that can be accommodated now, is very close to Nanluoguxiang, very quiet in the middle of noisy, sent the manager's arrangement to a friend, the friend said: It feels like a big event, the movie viewing experience is excellent, the environment sound effect, the terrace meal just catches up with the sunset, let people linger, The restaurant supervisor not only arranges food, but also helps to leave beautiful scenery. There have always been a courtyard plot, perfect!
