The breakfast was quite rich, with self-service freshly squeezed juice, a good variety of cheeses and meats, and excellent baked goods. The hotel is about 150 meters from the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around."

"it was a nice hotel. However, the corridor area and elevator had so much visible trash. Also, it was not possible to lock the door from inside.
Besides that, it was all good. The receptionists were super friendly!"

"I stayed for three nights. On the second day, I left the room around 11 AM, placing the 'Please Make Up Room' sign on the door. However, upon returning in the afternoon, I found the room had not been serviced. When I complained to the front desk staff on the afternoon shift, they not only claimed I hadn't hung the sign but also suggested I hadn't read the hotel's information board requirements, stating that the housekeeping staff had already finished their shift. Frankly, I just wanted an apology and an assurance that cleaning would be arranged for the next day. Instead, they told me to read the information board and essentially blamed me for improper scheduling. The next morning, when I reminded the front desk staff on the morning shift about cleaning, I immediately received an apology. I suspect the afternoon shift staff's communication skills (or perhaps English proficiency) might not have been very strong. Overall, the hotel was clean, but the value for money was quite mediocre. I'm not sure how it earned its 4-star rating; it felt more like a 3-star hotel, typical of one near a train station."

"Staff was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. Buffet breakfast was an abundant selection of breads, cheeses, salads and continental fare. Location was excellent. Less than a 5 min walk from Brussels central station and grocery store and 1 block from different restaurants. Nice safe area."

"This is a stylish hotel with a full sense of design. The hotel lobby is divided into several areas, where you can chat and use the computer for work. The lobby provides drinking boiled water, which is the most scarce in Europe. Even if guests do not order breakfast during breakfast, they can still drink drinks from their coffee machine. There is a waitress named Tif, who is very friendly and makes people feel at home.
The only pity is that the hotel is a bit far from the old town (if you like to walk). However, it is still very convenient to take public transportation. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the subway station. You will pass by the fashionable shopping street along the way."

"The staff provided good service, especially at the restaurant in the morning. However, the carpet in the room was quite dirty and seemed like it hadn’t been changed for a long time. The mattress was okay and comfortable enough, and the bathroom was fine. The only downside was the dirty carpet, which made the whole room look unclean. The breakfast was decent — not very diverse, but it included the main items that should be there."

FFazian, MalaysiaI really feel good and love staying at Novotel Grand Place,Brussels. Belgium was the first stop on my trip this time. The warm welcome from the Novotel staff made me feel safe and happy. The room was clean and comfortable—though not very big for the four of us, it was still spacious and well-arranged, with the added bonus of a bathtub. Breakfast was great, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a ‘Halal Food’ section, which made it easier for us as Muslims to enjoy the meal. A recommended hotel—I would definitely stay here again in the future.

GGuest UserStayed for three nights and had a lovely stay, only problem was the lifts weren't working the morning I was due to check out anyway, but besides that this hotel is a hidden gem in the city centre in Place des Martyrs. Rogier station is just a few minutes walk through the shopping centre, for airport bus, train and metro connections. I specifically chose Juliana as this hotel has a swimming pool and wellness facilities, with a mini gym and not many hotels in Brussels have pools. The room I requested was a quiet room on high floor away from lifts, room 306. Very comfortable, but be aware that the large top window brings in a lot of light, you need to ask to get it closed away or it will be very light. It's wonderful to provide Milton Brown toiletries and I enjoyed the Nespresso style coffee and teas provided. Housekeeping were helpful, I lost an earring in the bathroom basin and one of the ladies help recover it, so merci to her for her assistance. Pool, sauna and steam room are great, but be aware that there is no changing area, so go directly down to basement ready changed and wear slippers provided in the bathroom drawers. Staff were very helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay here again if I return to Brussels.

PPorcupine12tradeI was traveling with my daughter (youth). We felt very safe in this hotel. It is inside the main train station, just beside Haagen Dazs, access via a door. It is very convenient to go to Brugge and Ghent from the hotel and especially we have to take a train early morning to Strasbourg. The room for 2 was big, clean and nicely deco, we felt comfortable and it comes with a mini fridge.

GGuest UserHotel was in a great location and just outside the grand place and center square, walking distance of about 8-10mins. I walked everywhere from this location and was convenient with subway tram nearby and easy access to and from the central station. The hotel foyer and entrance was large and welcoming, service staff were helpful, there was also a gym on premise. The hotel room was a little dated and old although fairly large. The bathroom was fairly old and could need an upgrade soon although was functional and clean. The door and walls were thin and I could hear the doors slamming all the time (from guests coming in and out of their rooms) at all hours and in the morning, I got woken up by the cleaning lady vacuuming and always hitting the sides of the wall which was a little irritating. On one of the late evenings, I could hear the couple in the next room ****** *** as she was ******* ******. So yes, the walls/ceiling are thin.

KKate ThomCheck-in is 3pm and we arrived at 3pm but the room was only ready at almost 4pm. The story was that it was cleaned already but ”awaiting inspection”. We were handed 2 bar coupons with a blithe apology in rapid fire French for our 50 min wait.
The vacuuming in the room left much to be desired. When we got into the room on the 1st day, there was a pistachio at the side of the bed. My sister's dust allergy was triggered throughout our 4 day stay.
When we opted for housekeeping on the 3rd of the 4 days we stayed, the same pistachio remained there after the cleaning staff were done. Towels and bed linens were refreshed but the coffee/tea and bathroom amenities were not.
If you choose the Deluxe twin room like we did, please note that the room is 24 metre square and there is only room to open up one medium sized suitcase on the ground. Our other suitcase had to be accessed via the wardrobe which was spacious enough to keep the 2nd suitcase in.
Location wise, it's ideal and a stone's throw from Grand Place - the historic city centre, and many shops and good brasseries. It's a 10 min uphill walk from the hotel to the nearest train station called Brussel Centraal / Bruxelles-Midi which will bring you straight to the Brussels Airport in 17 min on the direct train (1st class carriage €12.10).
The buffet breakfast is plentiful and of good quality (with eggs cooked to order) in a nice space with a courtyard view crewed by pleasant staff fluent in English.
The bar has a relaxing ambience with an outdoor view and affordable drinks. My guide is always how much the increasingly rare digestif liqueur Chartreuse Verte costs. It was €14 per pour. Note : You get a free coupon for a soft drink/coffee/beer/wine if you pass up on room cleaning. If you have a short stay, you should as there wasn't much cleaning done.

The chicken ciabatta at the restaurant downstairs is delicious, and the Melbourne coffee in the station across the street is also good. It's very close to the Grand Place, the art gallery, and the arcades. Plus, there's a Carrefour downstairs where you can buy plenty of food and drinks. The room we got even had an extra small bed and two bathrooms, so it was very spacious – perfect for traveling with kids.

Unfortunately, there are no shops or convenience stores nearby, so it is not convenient for purchasing supplies. There are some snacks and snacks sold on the first floor of the hotel. Frozen pizza, there is a water dispenser on the first floor of the hotel, and it is a sparkling water machine, which is a plus.

GGuest UserThe overall stay was good with very warm welcome and tourist advice from the front desk staff (Martina) and the welcome drink corner.
However, there are a few things that we wish the hotel could improve. First, the shower area is highly slippery. Thought the floor material for the shower area is not right for that purpose.
Second, when we checked out, we asked the front desk staff (new ones that we haven’t met before) to help call a taxi for our family to the train station. The staff said the taxi should arrive in 20 min. After waiting for 20min, passing the time when the taxi should have arrived, we asked the staff to check the status of the taxi. Then the staff told us that the taxi would not come and there was no commitment from the taxi driver to take the order and advised us to call Uber by ourselves. We were astonished and disappointed as they should have told us earlier about the unreliability of calling a taxi. As the Uber required another 15min of wait, to make sure we could catch the train, we walked with our kids and heavy luggage all the way to the train station in a rainy and windy day!
