"Great review! On my business trip to Dalian, the front desk staff was very welcoming, and the hygiene and environment were quite good. I'd remind the front desk daily for room cleaning. The location is also convenient, and the room itself was very cozy and charming – I even took some photos. This is the only hotel I've given a positive review to. From now on, whenever I'm in Dalian for business, this will be my top choice. I've stayed at other hotels before, and there was always something I wasn't entirely satisfied with."

"The owner is a gorgeous woman in her twenties, as gentle and refined as a girl from Jiangsu and Zhejiang (though she's actually from Northeast China). She's very personable. The room is super clean and has underfloor heating. The service is also excellent. Right downstairs are Xiding and Wei'erwei'er, and you can see the sea directly across the street. I'll definitely book this place again next time I visit!"

"This room configuration is perfect for families. It comes with three beds, comfortably accommodating up to four guests, and with bathrooms on both levels, it never feels cramped. The room features a large window, making it wonderfully pleasant to lie in bed and enjoy the view on a nice day. What's more, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – it's right at the subway entrance and surrounded by shopping malls. The breakfast was also very good."

"This hotel is great. The room is spacious, especially the bathroom, with a logical layout and clean facilities. The staff are excellent, very helpful, and always ready to solve any issues. The location is also superb. The front desk staff, especially the young man named Kele, was incredibly enthusiastic. He even gave us a travel guide when we checked in and was very polite. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dalian."

"Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether."

"The room was very clean and a good size. The curtains provided excellent blackout, and the bathroom was comfortable to use. I was very satisfied, and the pillows were great too. I'll definitely choose Atour Hotel again in the future. The staff and front desk were all incredibly warm and friendly, always greeting me. Being able to work out, do laundry, and dry clothes on the 20th floor was a fantastic bonus and made for a superb stay."

A 24-hour Lawson convenience store located right at the hotel entrance was a great bonus for any shopping needs. "This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I originally booked it for the pool, and considering its age, my expectations weren't very high. But to my surprise, from the moment we got out of the car, the concierge staff proactively opened doors and handled our luggage every single time, without fail. In stark contrast, when we later moved to the Four Seasons, we had to carry our own bags inside before anyone offered assistance! While the rooms are a bit dated, it's clear the housekeeping team does a very thorough job. Even my mother, who is a neat freak, found it satisfactory. In contrast, at the Four Seasons, she immediately spotted dust on the glass and high up in the wardrobe! The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The complimentary fish jerky and candies were delicious! There's also a morning market just a hundred meters walk away. We had a minor issue on our second day, but the Guest Services Manager resolved it very professionally. If I have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose the New World! Expensive doesn't always mean best, but we all unanimously agreed that the New World offers the best value for money."

Staying in the children's themed room at Shangri-La Dalian with my little one was an absolute blast; the whole family was super satisfied!
The room decor was full of childlike fun, the cartoon theme really hit the spot for the kids, and exclusive children's amenities and small toys were all readily available. The attention to detail was incredibly thoughtful. My child shrieked with joy upon entering the room, making it completely stress-free for mom!
The hotel's children's play facilities are incredibly rich, and my little one had a blast, burning off energy all day, which was super convenient!
Adults can also relax well. The heated pool's water quality is excellent, and the hot tub is comfortable and relieving. We enjoyed both swimming and soaking, feeling incredibly happy 💦
Special mention for the heartwarming service! A big thank you to the lovely Yina for her warm and attentive service throughout, she was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Also, the housekeeping auntie kept our room spotless and tidy; her service was meticulous and caring. You can feel Shangri-La's dedication everywhere ❤️
The location is excellent, the family-friendly facilities are top-notch, and the five-star quality lives up to its reputation. Next time we visit Dalian with the kids, we'll definitely choose this place again!"

The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding was clean and odorless, and the bathroom counters and floors were spotless. The service was very attentive; the front desk staff proactively informed us about the hotel's services, and the cleaning staff were very thorough during their rounds without disturbing our rest.

GGuest UserMy stay at The Castle Hotel was absolutely magnificent. The room condition was pristine with the signature Marriott comfort, and the view from the balcony, especially the laser show at night, was breathtaking.
However, what truly made this stay the best hotel experience of my life was the service. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my concierge, Irene. She was incredibly professional and efficient, resolving every inquiry within 5 minutes.
Furthermore, she went above and beyond by preparing a surprise gift for my mother's birthday and upgrading us to a balcony room. My mother was deeply touched, and it made our trip unforgettable. I felt treated like royalty throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dalian.

Huang Zitao was warm, friendly, and professional. JJ Lin and Jackson Yee gave a detailed explanation of the check-in process and even offered to connect on WeChat, assuring us they would respond immediately to any needs throughout our stay. This trip was to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a special cake and fruit, which was a wonderful touch. We were extremely satisfied.

GGuest UserHuazhu Club’s first choice is Ibis! I haven't stayed in many express hotels nearby, but the environment and service are better than those nearby! Especially the staff at the front desk are very patient and enthusiastic. When I was using the computer downstairs at night, I found that some drunk guests were very rude. The young staff member Xiaogui Ning was very patient in explaining and guiding me! This is not easy! If you live near here, I highly recommend it! The TV can also project the screen, and I watched the S14 finals here!

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Exit D of 西安路(Xianlu) Station, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Right in front of the hotel, there’s a nightclub and a street lined with food stalls mainly frequented by locals. It gets lively at night. I stayed in a room facing the street, but since it was on the 6th floor, the noise from outside wasn’t too bothersome.
However, the soundproofing between rooms isn’t great. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic. Note that in some rooms, the bathroom isn’t fully separated from the rest of the space.
Two 500ml bottles of water were provided and replenished daily. Towels were replaced during daily cleaning, but it seemed like the sheets weren’t changed though that might be different for longer stays.
There’s no fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk to store things in their staff refrigerator if needed.
Foreigners can stay here without any issues. During my 3-night stay, there was a different staff member at the front desk each day, but everyone was friendly and helpful. They actively assisted me when I had any issues, and I’m really grateful for that.
Even if you don’t speak Chinese, using a translation app works fine. For basic things like check-in and check-out, you won’t need Chinese at all.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights during our first visit to Dalian in May. The room was very clean and had some very useful amenities such as a refrigerator, clothes washer and a bidet toilet. It was very convenient to wash our clothes and save money.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Mr. Chen helped me find an excellent Thai massage spa (Tai Baba) nearby and helped us get taxis. We are especially grateful to the manager Mr. Leon. He left his busy post at the front desk and walked with me several blocks to get medicine for my wife who was briefly ill.
We opted for the Chinese breakfast all three days and it was very good. However, the western food selection was limited. That was not a problem for us because the Chinese food was delicious. We are from the USA.
Mr. Leon recommended an excellent Japanese restaurant (Konoha or Jiuye) with a huge menu selection in the same building. We ate there twice and there was a waitress who spoke fluent Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel. Also, the hotel is located near a shopping mall with a huge food court on the top floor. We recommend Chinese and foreigners to stay at the Shan Shui S Hotel when visiting Dalian. It made our trip to the beautiful, friendly city of Dalian memorable.

MM312458****This is an old five-star hotel with great value for money. My birthday experience was fantastic. I booked a king room, and the front desk upgraded me to a suite. They also arranged a high-floor room with views of Laodong Park. The service was excellent, and they guaranteed a late checkout until 3:00 PM.
