"As a chain international hotel apartment, this place is top-notch in China, from its hardware and facilities to its software amenities and service. First, the location is unbeatable, right above Capitaland Mall, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Second, the room setup is excellent, with a washing machine, microwave, induction hob, and a full set of tableware, all from well-known brands. There are even robots delivering items throughout the building. I must also commend the cleaning staff; they are observant and proactively restock supplies. Of course, there are minor drawbacks, like the room being a bit small, and the deluxe studio not having a larger dining table, only one chair, etc., but these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall experience. I'm giving it a perfect score not because it's absolutely flawless, but because it delivers everything a hotel apartment can offer. I wish every city had a Fraser Place."

"My stay at the Four Seasons Dalian was absolutely perfect, and I especially want to commend the front desk staff. Upon arriving at the 41st-floor lobby, the check-in process was efficient and smooth. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, proactively explaining the hotel facilities, recommending optimal viewing times, and even thoughtfully suggesting an itinerary for Donggang based on my travel plans. I made a last-minute request to switch to a higher-floor sea-view room, and the front desk quickly accommodated it, communicating every detail with thoughtfulness and professionalism. The hotel lobby’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable view of the Donggang seascape. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and all the amenities were complete. From the doormen and front desk to the room attendants, everyone provided excellent service, with thoughtful touches at every turn. The exceptional service from the front desk truly enhanced my entire trip. This will be my top choice when visiting Dalian, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip!"

"Our first night in Dalian was at the Intercontinental, and it truly gave my family and me an unparalleled stay. The front desk, considering we had a child with us, upgraded us to a family room and breakfast, and even gave us a welcome gift. They thoughtfully arranged for the extra bed to be made up for our little one in advance. The room's amenities were excellent, maintaining Intercontinental's consistently high standards. The breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties like sea cucumber congee and Northeastern dishes, all of which were delicious. The staff were numerous, very enthusiastic, and incredibly efficient at clearing plates. From our room window, we could see several historic buildings in Zhongshan Square, indicating a prime location. All in all, I give it a 100% recommendation and will definitely stay here again on my next visit."

"The hygiene was good. However, the service and facilities were quite disappointing. First, the facilities aren't just old; the air conditioning wasn't cooling the room at all, making it too hot. Plus, the AC was incredibly noisy. Even the closet light made a loud buzzing sound. This is the first time I've encountered a hotel like this. After the first day's cleaning, the water and tea bags weren't replenished, but they were brought to my room after I called and asked for them."

"I was very satisfied with my trip to Dalian, especially the accommodation. Initially, I was worried that Shangri-La, being an older five-star hotel, might have outdated facilities. However, upon arrival, I found the hotel facilities to be very well-maintained, and the service experience was excellent – truly befitting a five-star hotel. I had originally booked a one-bedroom apartment, but the lobby manager kindly upgraded us to a two-bedroom apartment for free, seeing that I had many family members with me. We only realized the free upgrade once we got to the room, which was a pleasant surprise for my family and me; we even thought we had gone to the wrong room at first, haha. I'd also like to specially commend Ms. Yara from the hotel. After check-in, she proactively added me on WeChat to help me with a delivery, was always available to assist with any issues, and even gave my baby a cute little bear, which my baby absolutely loves and carries everywhere. Since we were traveling with a small child, the hotel also provided a bed rail. Additionally, the hotel has two playgrounds (one large, one small) and a swimming pool, so there's no need to worry about the baby getting bored. The breakfast was also very lavish, and both adults and children enjoyed it immensely. All in all, Shangri-La Hotel did not disappoint me. I highly recommend it to families traveling with children!"

"I rarely write reviews, but this hotel absolutely deserves a huge thumbs-up! **Amenities:** The pool on the third floor is great for kids! The depth ranges from 1.2m to 1.6m, so remember to bring swim rings. A special note: swim caps are mandatory to enter the pool. The sky garden on the fifth floor is stunning, especially at night. It's a fantastic spot for photos, with the ocean in front and a lit-up castle behind – unbelievably beautiful! Also, the kids' play area on the fifth floor is highly recommended. When booking through Trip.com, sometimes a package includes access to the 'Kids Castle,' otherwise you'll need to buy tickets (60 for one child, 88 for one adult and one child). My child absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough, and honestly, even the adults had a blast – it's that much fun! **Cleanliness:** The hotel is spotless and well-maintained. Even the nooks and crannies are clean! **Environment:** The environment is beyond words; every corner is incredibly photogenic. Whether you're traveling with family and kids, as a couple, or for any other reason, it's definitely a picture-perfect destination! **Service:** I have to dedicate a bit more space to this. We booked two rooms without breakfast. The manager, seeing we had a baby, specially offered us a complimentary breakfast. Moreover, any issues we had during our stay were resolved perfectly and immediately! The service absolutely deserves full marks!"

"The hotel facilities are a bit old. However, the location is great for beach access, especially with kids. We walked to Xinghai Park for tide pooling in just three minutes. I'd also like to thank Auntie Yao from housekeeping. She was very thoughtful, proactively asking if we needed extra amenities for our child, and kept our room spotless every day."

"The guest rooms at Xita Hotel have a rather heavy design style, and the renovation quality is quite poor. However, the overall service is excellent. After checking in, my child suddenly wanted some fruit. I casually asked a staff member, and even though the hotel doesn't usually provide complimentary fruit, two lovely staff members brought three fruits (a banana, an orange, and an apple) for my child. While not particularly fancy, it truly warmed my heart. I believe these fruits were probably their personal snacks. They even brought a rocking horse for my child to play with. One of the staff members was named Liu Lili – I apologize for forgetting the other lady's name. I'm incredibly grateful for their kindness and enthusiasm! Given the room rate is around a thousand yuan, I'd suggest the hotel should definitely offer complimentary fruit and small snacks. The cost is negligible, but it would make guests feel even more appreciated, otherwise, you might lose business to other hotels! Also, the hotel breakfast was very ordinary, which was disappointing."

"The Grand Hyatt Dalian truly sets the standard for sea-view hotels in Dalian. Its location is unbeatable, right by Xinghai Square, just a few steps downstairs to the beach. We booked a high-floor sea-view room, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views. You can gaze at the Xinghai Bay Bridge right from your bed, and the evening light show creates a wonderful atmosphere. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding, and the bathtub with a view of the sea was a fantastic experience. The staff were all polite and friendly, providing attentive and thoughtful service. The only minor drawback is that the hotel has been open for a while, so some facilities are a bit older, but overall, it doesn't detract from the stay. This is definitely my top choice for a vacation in Dalian."

"I saw reviews mentioning it was an older hotel before I went, so I was a bit worried about outdated facilities. However, after checking in, I found it to be quite good! While some furniture and wallpaper definitely show their age, I think it's acceptable. You can tell from the pictures that the hotel has a good aesthetic, and they've clearly put in time and effort to maintain it well. The front desk service during check-in was just right – very friendly but not overly enthusiastic. I got an upgraded room thanks to my Trip.com benefits, and they even reminded me that I could get discount coupons at the Japanese restaurant on the third floor. The hotel's swimming pool is very well-maintained! The water quality is excellent. Probably because the shallowest part is 1.7 meters deep, everyone there is actually serious about swimming! It's fantastic!!! Big thumbs up! The only slight disappointment was that there are quite a few foreign guests at the hotel. Despite clear signs in both Chinese and English, with large notices on the door to the hot spring area stating no electronic devices are allowed, I still encountered a foreigner doing exactly that. I immediately spoke up. From her reaction, it didn't seem like she was unaware. I hope the hotel can strengthen its management; these rules shouldn't only apply to obedient local guests, otherwise, it's really quite unsafe. Perhaps they could add an extra reminder during check-in and when getting keys for the changing room. They shouldn't avoid saying anything due to language barriers or fear of trouble (after all, every time I went to get the changing room key, I was reminded of the closing time)."
