"The location is ideally situated, at about 200 meters from the main gate. Either walk the road to the Wall, not too steep, with plenty resting places. 20 minutes walk. There’s the Wall! Very well maintained and restored. We saw sunrise at 4:30 AM. They allow early entry and can organise a 5 minute lift to the Wall. Even at 4:00 AM. Amazing! The hotel provided breakfast, so after the sunrise and some hiking, it was very well appreciated."

"The hotel is newly refurbished and the owners a married couple are the most welcoming, providing assistance with Great Wall excursions, they provided a driver and sandwiches for the day hike. The resturants local cuisine was exceptional taste, as was the quality with all local sourced produce, ingredients. You can walk to the shops at the end of the village and easily walk along the street of the valley… The owners speak English and possibly other languages. They were great hosts. I would stay there again."

"We were returning from a group tour to Inner Mongolia and decided to visit Jinshanling Great Wall on the way. We found Qingfeng Inn on Trip.com. It's clean, hygienic, and the environment is lovely. Both accommodation and dining are very convenient. The owner is super friendly; we were exhausted after coming down from the Great Wall, and the kids didn't want to walk anymore, so the owner even came to pick us up. When we left, they even gave us some cucumbers from their own garden for the road – truly appreciate it! Highly recommend staying and eating here."

"What can I say other than WOW, great farmhouse in a beautiful quiet setting over looking the Great Wall. Rooms were very modern, spotlessly clean with hairdryer and toiletries massive windows to look at the incredible view.
The food we had was delicious good price 86 yuan including 2 big beers. We also used there taxi to get to the water town and back to the train station.
They sell snacks and water at a very good price also.

"The hotel's location is pretty good, and the surroundings are very quiet. It's only about a 19-minute drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. However, the Jinshanling exit on the G45 Beijing-Chengde Expressway is closed, so you have to take a detour.
When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served individually with generous portions. When it's busy, they open a buffet with a wider variety of options.
The room was spacious, great for families. But there were a lot of ladybugs (or 'stink bugs' as some call them) that somehow got into the room; we had to clear them out as soon as we checked in.
The bathroom drain was clogged, so the facilities definitely need some maintenance. It's probably okay for a 1-2 night stay."

"We stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters."

"The room is quite big and relatively new, but the maintenance is average, the hygiene is not meticulous, and the carpet is dirty. The room was fully booked on the day of check-in, and there were two weddings the next day, so the service was not up to par. There was really nothing to eat for breakfast, and the taste was not good. Children over one meter tall were charged."

"I have known the owner of this restaurant for many years. When I come to Jinshanling Great Wall, I always go to the Cui Family Courtyard for lunch. The proprietress Xiaoli is quick at work and the food is delicious. The whole family is very enthusiastic. This is the first time to stay at his house. The room is clean and comfortable. Not on the roadside, very quiet at night. It’s a great choice to watch the sunrise and sunset at Jinshanling Great Wall. The boss Er Ming is a photography enthusiast and a big anchor, and he can accompany him to climb the Great Wall."

"I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm.
But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable.
The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He
eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station.
They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”"

Guest UserI added it to my wishlist last year when it opened, and finally stayed here this year! Seeing so much greenery on the way here instantly lifted my spirits, and the red brick color scheme of the entire complex immediately calmed my mind.
The whole hotel has a very high-quality feel. From the lobby to the second-floor public areas to the rooms, I loved the color scheme and furnishings; it had a sense of timeless elegance.
The terrace overlooks a large lawn, and looking up, you're greeted by a view of lush greenery. I loved it. Staying in the room was so comfortable; the bright green outside and the calming brown inside made it perfect for relaxation. The warm yellow lighting at night was gentle and not glaring. There were books and a reading lamp by the bedside, making it easy to fall asleep after a couple of pages.
The hotel service was excellent. They added me in advance with their contact information and informed me of the location, parking, and other details before I checked in. During my stay, communication and response were very quick. They even provided sincere and practical solutions for a minor water outage due to maintenance. I truly felt at home. The staff were all very nice, especially the guy who greeted me. Before leaving, I wanted to ask for the hotel's name, but they said no thanks, haha—such a big heart!
The amenities were also great. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of choices. The First Canteen was very convenient, and the burger was delicious. My favorite restaurants for main meals are Shiwei Valley and Xiaomai. The public bathhouse is also quiet and comfortable with few people. The mountain forest exploration route and the corner tower climbing route both offer beautiful scenery. It's a nice day! The dog is super cute. I love that when you come to Aranya, you don't have to worry about anything else. It's perfect for a relaxing 2-3 day getaway!

I took my parents to Jinshanling for a three-day, two-night off-peak getaway.
**Environment:** The hotel's location is excellent. Right outside, you'll find restaurants and a bakery, and just a short walk away is a large lawn. The interior environment is simple and quiet.
**Service:** What's truly commendable is that I added Si Han from the front desk on WeChat during check-in. She was very gentle and polite in person, and always resolved all our issues promptly. Because I was with my parents, she often anticipated our needs. The next time I go to Jinshanling, I'll definitely look for her again.
**Private Hot Spring Experience (2 hours):** We used the private hot spring for two consecutive days. It's indeed much smaller than the one at Wulingshan, and the tea and snacks provided weren't as refined. However, the excellent service made up for it.

Guest UserThis guesthouse was very comfortable and felt right at home. The lady cooking was delicious and the portions were generous. The gentleman was very kind and would drive us to the Great Wall entrance when he had time. The recommended route is to take the cable car up from the entrance, walk through Dajinshan Tower and Dongwuyan Tower, and exit from the East Gate, which leads directly to Huinong Farmhouse – very convenient and avoids backtracking. You can call ahead to order, so you can have your meal ready in no time. Breakfast also includes hot porridge and eggs – a truly comprehensive service. The gentleman knows many routes along the undeveloped sections of the Great Wall, but we didn't have time this time. I'll definitely stay here again next time I have the chance.

When traveling during the epidemic, I deliberately chose this hotel to stay away from noisy places. Just follow the navigation. I really like the rural atmosphere here. You can live from sunrise to sunset. The accommodation conditions are also good, the hygiene is quite clean, and the things are also good. It’s very new. The boss and the wife are very enthusiastic. I told the boss in advance that we can have breakfast in the morning. We had a sumptuous lunch at an acceptable price. We went to climb the Great Wall before dawn. I heard from the boss that the red leaves on the Great Wall are still there. There is no discoloration. It will be more beautiful after October. I can recommend friends who love photography to come with me next time😃

Guest UserFriendly family run place, and both father and son was very happy to assist in anything, especially advice on how to tackle the great wall visit. If you are into photography, even better as they will provide all the best advice, including getting a double-entry ticket so that you can go for sunrise and sunset shoot. The place is literally just outside the gate!!

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

The room is in line with the price, some simple but very clean. The boss and the waiter are very warm and the service is in place. The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first.

Advantages:
1. There is a simple breakfast, although there are not many things, but there is no problem with eating, noodles, rolls, porridge, boiled eggs and a few small pickles, saving time than going out to find a restaurant to eat.
2, there are both slippers and traditional foam slippers, the latter bath is very convenient.
3. The front desk staff is warm and responsive.
Problems found:
1, after the bath, the water can not be drained immediately, the next day there is still water on the bathroom floor.
2. The water heater is connected to the large shower head. This shower head has a large amount of water. The hot water of the water heater cannot be supplied in the later stage, and the water becomes cold. So it is recommended to replace it with a small nozzle.
The room I live in is on the innermost side of the corridor. Under the window is Xingang East Street where the hotel gathers. It is equivalent to going to the room to go to most of the street. Haha, so the room price is cheap?
The disposable toiletries provided by the hotel are useless except for small soaps (the last picture), and the dental appliances and shampoo that you bring with you. In order to protect the environment, it is recommended that you use as little as possible disposable items. This kind of items are discarded once they are used up, which is not friendly to the environment.

Travel WWThe hotel room is not very warm, the quilt is relatively thin, and the soundproofing is very poor. At 23:30 last night, people in other rooms in the corridor were still making loud noises, which was very speechless. A deposit of 100 is required for check-in, and it cannot be refunded upon check-out, only 100 in cash, but it must be paid after the cleaning staff has checked the room (I don't understand what the 100 deposit is for in such a shabby hotel with nothing in the room?). It is a waste of time!

The room was very clean, the air conditioning and warm air were also very good, the boss was really enthusiastic, the photography technology was also very good, the homestay was full of photos of the Great Wall he took.
