"This seems to be the only hotel near the central gate of the Jinshanling Great Wall. If you don't want to stay in a guesthouse, this is pretty much your only option. I booked it for that reason, and although I was a bit worried after seeing some negative reviews, I was very satisfied with my stay. We arrived by bus from Chengde at 10 AM, and I really appreciate the front desk allowing us to check in immediately. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk to the central gate's ticket office. We had dinner at the hotel, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. Both dinner and breakfast the next day were delicious. If I had to pick a flaw, the hotel staff were a bit cold."

The hotel is conveniently located a short 13km drive from Gubeikou Railway Station. This hotel is located near many of Luanping's attractions including Hualou Valley, Jinshanling Great Wall - Xianyin Temple and Jinshanling Great Wall. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Luanping hotel features parking on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"Similar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!"

To get there, we opted for a train from Beijingbei to Gubeikou and then arranged a transfer with the host.
The host was very kind and welcoming, even offering us a free upgrade.
The hotel is clean and welcoming, with a restaurant on the ground floor, convenient since there's nothing nearby. The food was good and reasonably priced.

"The room and hardware facilities are pretty good, and the price is honestly very affordable during the National Day holiday. . . The worst part is the lack of service and service awareness. . .
First, I booked 2 rooms, and one of them didn’t have slippers. I called and asked for them to be brought to me, and then he directly ordered me to look for them in the cupboard for a long time. Don’t you know if there are any?

"This place was the best after our long walk along the Great Wall. We started in Gubekiou and walked the wall until Jinshanling. The farmhouse was only about a 20 min walk from the entrance of the Great Wall which we were happy about. As soon as we walked up the owner ran up and welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Each of our rooms had two small beds and a bathroom w a shower. Great value for your money. The family running it fed us delicious food for breakfast and dinner, were so welcoming and even helped us plan our next day hike. Would stay here again!"

"Absolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

"I had an excellent stay at this guest house. The family that runs it is very friendly and very helpful. Not a lot of English is spoken, but don't let that deter you, it's a very welcome place and they'll take care of your needs. They can provide a lot of info on visiting the Wall and the location is just a hundred meters from the entry gate to the Jinshanling Wall. Even though it's still a few 100 meters walking after that, this is the closest you can stay in case you want to get on the wall for sunrise. Dinner was very tasty. I would definitely come back!"

"Friendly family run place, and both father and son was very happy to assist in anything, especially advice on how to tackle the great wall visit. If you are into photography, even better as they will provide all the best advice, including getting a double-entry ticket so that you can go for sunrise and sunset shoot. The place is literally just outside the gate!!"

"I'm so glad I chose this B&B as my base for climbing the Jinshanling Great Wall. It's incredibly close to the ticket gate, just a three-minute walk! The room was surprisingly large and clean, and the owner was incredibly kind, patient and accommodating, trying his best to accommodate our every need. My friends who were traveling with me all said they hadn't expected the room to be so nice. We stayed here and watched the sea of clouds at 6:30 this morning. After returning for breakfast and a short rest, we went back to the park to watch the sunset over the Great Wall. It was a truly perfect trip! I'll definitely be back to see the autumn scenery of Jinshanling next fall!"

"The hotel room is not very warm, the quilt is relatively thin, and the soundproofing is very poor. At 23:30 last night, people in other rooms in the corridor were still making loud noises, which was very speechless. A deposit of 100 is required for check-in, and it cannot be refunded upon check-out, only 100 in cash, but it must be paid after the cleaning staff has checked the room (I don't understand what the 100 deposit is for in such a shabby hotel with nothing in the room?). It is a waste of time!"

GGuest UserThe location of the accommodation is a ski shop, the back is the accommodation, not to say slip in and out, the boss and his wife are still more enthusiastic, the room is quite warm, but the sound insulation effect is very poor, even the next door can be heard, walking downstairs to say anything, can hear, just fell asleep wake up, I couldn't help but call the boss until 2 o'clock. I don't know where to move things. I came to ski. If I can't even guarantee basic sleep, how to open a store. I'm more objective, I hope to improve it.

GGuest UserWhen traveling during the epidemic, I deliberately chose this hotel to stay away from noisy places. Just follow the navigation. I really like the rural atmosphere here. You can live from sunrise to sunset. The accommodation conditions are also good, the hygiene is quite clean, and the things are also good. It’s very new. The boss and the wife are very enthusiastic. I told the boss in advance that we can have breakfast in the morning. We had a sumptuous lunch at an acceptable price. We went to climb the Great Wall before dawn. I heard from the boss that the red leaves on the Great Wall are still there. There is no discoloration. It will be more beautiful after October. I can recommend friends who love photography to come with me next time😃

SSidouOn April 30, we just randomly found a restaurant to stay at night, but it was unexpected. The boss and his wife were very nice. They waited for us at around 9 o'clock in the evening and helped us prepare dinner. The dishes cooked by the boss were also very delicious and especially suitable for our appetite. The room was newly renovated and carefully decorated. It was clean, hygienic and refreshing! I will choose this restaurant next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall. There is a large parking lot at the door, which is convenient for parking.

1. There is a simple breakfast, although there are not many things, but there is no problem with eating, noodles, rolls, porridge, boiled eggs and a few small pickles, saving time than going out to find a restaurant to eat.
2, there are both slippers and traditional foam slippers, the latter bath is very convenient.
3. The front desk staff is warm and responsive.
Problems found:
1, after the bath, the water can not be drained immediately, the next day there is still water on the bathroom floor.
2. The water heater is connected to the large shower head. This shower head has a large amount of water. The hot water of the water heater cannot be supplied in the later stage, and the water becomes cold. So it is recommended to replace it with a small nozzle.
The room I live in is on the innermost side of the corridor. Under the window is Xingang East Street where the hotel gathers. It is equivalent to going to the room to go to most of the street. Haha, so the room price is cheap?
The disposable toiletries provided by the hotel are useless except for small soaps (the last picture), and the dental appliances and shampoo that you bring with you. In order to protect the environment, it is recommended that you use as little as possible disposable items. This kind of items are discarded once they are used up, which is not friendly to the environment.

GGuest UserThe most cost-effective inn in Jinshanling Yinhe Ski Resort, it is cleaner and brighter than the inn in Dongyingzi Village, and closer than the county hotel (most hotels in the county are not as clean and comfortable as Yuxiu), and the boss is very nice. It's very convenient to eat. It's just on the first floor of the inn. There are stir-fries, griddles, and stews. The dishes are large, affordable, and delicious.
