Hotels with Breakfast in Beppu

"This is a newly opened hotel with a strong industrial aesthetic. It's super conveniently located near Beppu JR Station, less than a 5-minute walk away. The hot spring is excellent and not crowded, making for a wonderfully relaxing soak. The room itself is exceptionally spacious and offers distant ocean views. All of this comes at a fantastic price. If I visit Beppu again, I'll definitely stay here. As for breakfast, well, personally, I found it just average."

"The hotel is right next to Beppu Station, just a 2-minute walk from the seaside exit. The location is excellent. All guests are required to take off their shoes upon entering, and luggage carts are rolled over a cleaning cloth before shoes are stored. This hotel hosts many tour groups from Taiwan and Korea, so it can get very crowded. They offer service in both Chinese and Korean. As is standard for Domry hotels, they provide free late-night ramen and Yakult in the morning, along with free ice cream in the evening. The room size is moderate, and no cleaning service is provided. There are private and public onsen baths on the upper floors. For private baths, expect a queue starting around 7 PM and lasting until 12:30 AM (on weekends). Everything was very satisfactory."

"This hotel is super close to Beppu Station, just a short walk away, yet surprisingly, there's no noise. The room was clean, and so was the washing machine. Plus, there's a fresh food supermarket inside Beppu Station with very reasonable prices!"

"The hotel building is artistic designed, staff are super helpful and friendly, and fusion dishes at the Peak restaurant are excellent. The environment and surrounding are very pleasant but don’t expect convenience stores nearby.  The only negative thing is they have onsen built in the room. When first stepped into the bedroom, there’s a strong smell of sulfur. The hotel probably wants to address it by having good ventilation such as air freshener machine prior to check in otherwise guests would get the wrong impression of poor/dirty drainage."

"Very nice modern style ryokan nestled in the hills of Beppu. Rooms are very nice and big, with our private onsen bathroom. We opted for the dinner and breakfast, and they were both pretty good and tasty."

"An absolutely fantastic onsen ryokan with a superb, prime beachfront location. It was the most affordable onsen ryokan I booked for this trip, yet it turned out to be the most delightful surprise. The tall gentleman at the front desk provided absolutely outstanding service! He was so warm and friendly, and his sincerity truly shone through. Much appreciated! Definitely make sure to reserve the private open-air onsen on the 6th floor. Soaking in the onsen while watching the sunset is such a blissful experience. The room we booked also came with its own private onsen. It offers incredible value for money. All the staff members were incredibly polite, and the breakfast was delicious too! I absolutely adore Beppu city!"

"The hotel is very close to Beppu Station, less than 200 meters away. They don't allow check-ins before 3 PM. There's a hot spring bath on the 3rd floor; it's small but very clean. If you turn right downstairs, there are many affordable and delicious places to eat, no need to go to those trendy 'influencer' spots. The biggest downside is that the duvet wasn't covered with a proper duvet cover; instead, it had a thin separating sheet, which made it easy to touch the duvet insert itself, and it felt a bit unhygienic. Also, the breakfast wasn't very elaborate, just enough to fill you up."

"Transportation: Very convenient. It's only a 10-minute walk to JR Beppu Station. For my bus trip to Fukuoka, the bus stop (right outside Starbucks) was just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Facilities: This is a resort-style hotel, and I was lucky enough to snag a sea-view room where the first rays of morning sun streamed directly in. The room was very spacious, more than enough for two people; it actually felt a bit large for just myself. It was approximately 10 tatami mats in size (excluding the bathroom, separate toilet, entryway, and balcony). Cleanliness: As it was a Japanese-style room, it was generally clean, but there were some small bugs. I got a few bites on my fingers and bottom, but they cleared up by the next day. Ambiance: The balcony offered a direct view of the ocean. The 260-degree sea view room was truly impressive. Service: Overall, the service was very good. The only area that needs improvement is the hot spring on the 7th floor. On the day of my arrival, I made a reservation for the hot spring with the hotel, but I didn't receive any confirmation or proof. Consequently, I didn't actually go. However, I was still charged either 1000 or 1500 yen for it at check-out. It's a small amount, so I didn't bother disputing it with the front desk, but I do think their booking and confirmation process for the hot spring needs significant improvement."

"## Environment: The location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Beppu Station. There's a Lawson nearby and plenty of restaurants. You can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes. On the 3rd floor, there's a free hot spring. If you want to use it, you can pick up a yukata and belt from the toiletries area on the first floor. It's on a lower level, and I didn't see it at first, so I had to come back down to get it. There's a good selection of toiletries, including disposable makeup remover and facial cleanser. ## Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was decent. The facilities were a bit old but still clean. The hot spring only had two hot pools, one cold pool, and a sauna. There was also an outdoor pool just big enough for one person. You just take off your clothes, rinse off, and then soak. However, when I was soaking, I noticed a lot of what looked like exfoliated dirt floating in the pool. The water circulation didn't seem to be very timely, so I only soaked for a short while and then left. ## Facilities: There's a washing machine and dryer, which I think cost 300 yen per use. The room has a refrigerator, but it doesn't seem to have a microwave; that's probably in a common area. It's quite quiet. ## Service: The service was very friendly. Opposite the restroom on the first floor, there's a self-service luggage storage area where you can set your own password and retrieve your belongings, which is very convenient."

"I've stayed at Beppu Kamenoi Hotel multiple times, and it consistently delivers a great experience. The hotel is quite large. While it's an older property and some of the facilities show their age, it's very well-maintained and impeccably clean. The hotel's onsen (hot springs) are a major highlight – absolutely fantastic for melting away fatigue. Inside the hotel, there are several restaurants, all serving delicious food at reasonable prices. Its location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from the JR station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. We made good use of our JR Pass to easily visit Oita and Kokura."
