"This is a newly opened hotel with a strong industrial aesthetic. It's super conveniently located near Beppu JR Station, less than a 5-minute walk away. The hot spring is excellent and not crowded, making for a wonderfully relaxing soak. The room itself is exceptionally spacious and offers distant ocean views. All of this comes at a fantastic price. "The hygiene was so-so. When I entered, there was a hair on the pillow, which made me seriously doubt if they change the linens after every guest. I went to the front desk, and they changed my room. They said to compensate for my experience, they would offer a free room cleaning for the next day, valued at 1500 yen. Right, they don't clean during your stay unless you pay extra.
Service was practically non-existent. Check-in at the front desk was done via self-service machines.
The room definitely wasn't the square footage they advertised.
If it were around 400-500 [currency, likely yen], I think it would be acceptable, as the location is indeed very good. The private onsen uses fresh water but isn't cleaned. It's not reservation-based either; it's first-come, first-served.
Basically, on weekends, you'll only find fewer people after midnight. Otherwise, you'll have to queue at the entrance and wait a considerable amount of time."

"The hotel building is artistic designed, staff are super helpful and friendly, and fusion dishes at the Peak restaurant are excellent. The environment and surrounding are very pleasant but don’t expect convenience stores nearby.
The only negative thing is they have onsen built in the room. When first stepped into the bedroom, there’s a strong smell of sulfur. The hotel probably wants to address it by having good ventilation such as air freshener machine prior to check in otherwise guests would get the wrong impression of poor/dirty drainage."

"An absolutely fantastic onsen ryokan with a superb, prime beachfront location. It was the most affordable onsen ryokan I booked for this trip, yet it turned out to be the most delightful surprise. The tall gentleman at the front desk provided absolutely outstanding service! He was so warm and friendly, and his sincerity truly shone through. Much appreciated! Definitely make sure to reserve the private open-air onsen on the 6th floor. Soaking in the onsen while watching the sunset is such a blissful experience. The room we booked also came with its own private onsen. It offers incredible value for money. All the staff members were incredibly polite, and the breakfast was delicious too! "The entryway is very spacious, and the room itself is surprisingly large, even bigger than it appears in the photos. The sea view is beautiful, and soaking in the hot spring at night felt just like having a private onsen. There's a bus stop right outside, with direct service to Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell). Beppu Kitahama is right next door, and Don Quijote is just a short walk further. While it's a bit of a walk from Beppu Station, staying right by the sea often means sacrificing a little bit of convenience."

"Transportation: Very convenient. It's only a 10-minute walk to JR Beppu Station. For my bus trip to Fukuoka, the bus stop (right outside Starbucks) was just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
Facilities: This is a resort-style hotel, and I was lucky enough to snag a sea-view room where the first rays of morning sun streamed directly in. The room was very spacious, more than enough for two people; it actually felt a bit large for just myself. It was approximately 10 tatami mats in size (excluding the bathroom, separate toilet, entryway, and balcony).
Cleanliness: As it was a Japanese-style room, it was generally clean, but there were some small bugs. I got a few bites on my fingers and bottom, but they cleared up by the next day.
Ambiance: The balcony offered a direct view of the ocean. The 260-degree sea view room was truly impressive.
Service: Overall, the service was very good. The only area that needs improvement is the hot spring on the 7th floor. On the day of my arrival, I made a reservation for the hot spring with the hotel, but I didn't receive any confirmation or proof. Consequently, I didn't actually go. However, I was still charged either 1000 or 1500 yen for it at check-out. It's a small amount, so I didn't bother disputing it with the front desk, but I do think their booking and confirmation process for the hot spring needs significant improvement."

The day we arrived, the top-floor bath was designated for women. Yukata and toiletries can be conveniently picked up in the lobby on the first floor. There's a thoughtful basket in the room for carrying towels and other items to the hot spring area. The most impressive part was breakfast on the second day. "I stayed at Liguanfang for two consecutive nights, so I'd like to share my experience. From a location perspective, it's incredibly convenient, with several hot spring 'hells' in Kannawa just a five-minute walk away. Getting to and from the airport via the express bus is also very easy, and if you have a lot of luggage, they can even arrange delivery to the station. Regarding the environment, it's elegant, and there weren't many guests during my stay, so it was generally quiet. As for the room facilities, the hot spring water was exceptional – truly worthy of Kannawa Onsen, one of Beppu's Eight Hot Springs. The water was much better than another hotel I stayed at in Beppu; my skin felt noticeably smoother after soaking. From a food perspective, it was good. However, since I also stayed at another hotel in Beppu, the food here was slightly inferior by comparison, but still worth experiencing. Overall, it's an excellent onsen ryokan that's definitely worth a return visit!"

"My friends and I are very satisfied with this hotel. We were a little worried at first because the room facilities still maintain the old style (key-operated doors, traditional old-style tatami mats and paper doors). We booked the ”one bed, two meals” package, and dinner was at Choose to eat kaiseki cuisine in the room. The chef's craftsmanship and menu design made us feel that it was well worth the money spent this time! !
Although the dining space for breakfast is not large, every dish is very delicious!
If you want to talk about the shortcomings, it is probably that the space for bathing is not large, but my friends and I think that compared to other hot springs that are full of people, this environment is quite refined and comfortable.
The hotel's lobby and public spaces have all been transformed into a modern style, and not only free drinks are provided (there are even draft beers for you to drink).

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated 15 minutes taxi ride from the Beppu station. So we have nowhere to go that night. But it's good enough to have hotspring and drinks in the hotel. The staff is very polite and can explain what you can do in English. Then you were lead to the room and tips rejected.
We booked the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The dinner time is either 6pm or 6:30pm and the breakfast time 8am or 8:30. The dinner is good but maybe my expectation is quite high, it didn't reach my expectation, especially for the sashimi.
For the onsen, there are 4 private onsens and 2 public. One of the private onsens is closed. Therefore we can use 3. You can use the private onsen when it is not occupied. Just lock the door and turn the plate to the other side. But all the onsen are closed by 12 midnight. And there is a room with free flow beer and soda, but it closes at 10pm. Don't drink beer before taking hotspring.
There is also an onsen in our room which can be used anytime. It's hot at night but not so hot in the next morning. Overall, the view is good. The staff is good. The food is good (just not so great) and the onsens are good. Beppu is a good place to stay a few days more

CChiehyunIt was my first time eating breakfast prepared by a Japanese restaurant. I was really amazed by the tofu, which tasted like a chewy pudding. Each dish tasted like it had its own special seasoning. As a *********, I’m used to seasonings such as pepper, garlic, and salt, but it was completely edible and it was delicious!
Some inconveniences are that elderly people with bad backs or legs are not suitable for this restaurant, because Japanese style seats require sitting on the ground and walking up stairs (but since there is only the second floor, I think it is worth a try). The room we stayed in was for four people to a room, so we ate and ate in the same space. When we needed to move the bed to make it or move the table back to eat, we had to squeeze into a corner or leave the room to let the staff finish. Although this move took no more than 10 minutes (about 5 minutes), it was still not very convenient and I didn't really like this part.
The staff attitude, service and room cleanliness are all of a high standard.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in the hot spring area, a 10-minute walk to Umijigoku. There is a bus stop at the door of the hotel, and the location is convenient. The internal facilities are new and clean, and the rooms are tidy. The hotel staff are also very friendly and willing to help guests. Breakfast and dinner were both plentiful and of good quality. You can have Bungo Wagyu for dinner. The staff would come over from time to time to ask if we want to order more Wagyu. We ate a lot of Wagyu. As a foodie, I recommend this hotel 10 points!

LLeeI stayed with my family during our trip to Beppu, and it exceeded all my expectations. We wanted to experience a traditional-style Ryokan, and this was the perfect choice. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that everything was well managed.
One of the highlights was the ability to reserve a private bath, which made the experience even more relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, making it an ideal place to rest and unwind.

DDVS-SHThe JR Fukuoka Limited Express Sonic takes about 2 hours to JR Beppu Station. After exiting the station, you will be directed to the Tourist Information Center at the east exit. You can ask the lady to contact the hotel for pick-up service. The hotel's shuttle buses are all at the west exit, and the receptionist can look for them according to the advertisement on the bus. It's only a 10-minute drive away.
❗️The warm lobby of the hotel houses Japanese-style villas, which are very small in size and have an outdoor hot spring and golden hot spring! ! A hot spring with gold nuggets on the ground. I haven't seen any guests for two days and one night, so I'm enjoying it alone. There is a changing room before entering the hot spring, which is fully heated. It is commendable 👍🏾One stay and two meals. For dinner, the staff will come to remind you, and the banquet will be prepared with about 10 dishes. Breakfast the next day was also a 🈚️ oil and water set meal. [Shy R]

The highlight was the garden outside and the large windows that let in the morning sun, creating a lovely atmosphere for breakfast while gazing outside. Unfortunately, the hot spring was out of order when we got there, but it appeared to be large enough for two people to enjoy. I was initially concerned that the size of the apartment would make it chilly upon arrival, but the heating system was effective, and the place warmed up quickly.
