Apartment Hotel YAEZAKI is the perfect place to unwind after a day of travel or work. Treat yourself by paying a visit to the property's 2 free hot springss. Soak up the romantic ambiance at the on-site restaurant. The property's front desk offers service in 4 languages, including English. For extra convenience, free luggage storage and laundry service (on-site) are available at the property as well. When driving to the property, you can use the parking lot.

"The room is very close to the Beppu Kitahama bus stop, making it easily accessible by bus from Oita Airport. Check-in at 3 PM was smooth with the help of friendly staff. The lobby offers a 24-hour beverage machine with coffee, cocoa, and various cold drinks, all free to enjoy – that's a huge plus! The room itself is clean and bright, with a well-equipped kitchen (though the tableware isn't ceramic, which is a bit of a shame). It also includes a washing machine with detergent and a water dispenser. There's a balcony, which is a must-have for longer stays. The rooftop hot spring bath isn't large, but the water quality is excellent. The only drawback is that it's only free to use after 10 PM. A minor downside: the bed corners in the room are a bit sharp and easy to bump into, so be careful. Overall, the stay was excellent. Highly recommended!"

A new hot spring hotel is born in a land rich with the history and culture of Beppu. Combining the comfort of a city hotel with the charm of a traditional Japanese ryokan, we offer a refined modern Japanese-style space. We warmly welcome you with high-quality hot springs and heartfelt hospitality.

"Great location right by the bus station, with plenty of food options nearby and Don Quijote directly across the street. The breakfast is purely Japanese style, so those who prefer Western options might not enjoy it as much."

"I was a bit nervous after booking this hotel, but it turned out to be an excellent choice! The hotel is a traditional Japanese courtyard building with six rooms. It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from Beppu JR station. From the moment we entered the courtyard, we received a very warm welcome. Since we booked a room on the second floor, the staff kindly carried all our luggage to our room during check-in. You absolutely must try the dinner and breakfast included in the stay – it's incredibly good value for money! The food for both dinner and breakfast was absolutely delicious! Dinner was especially generous; we couldn't even finish it all. Plus, the wagyu beef served at dinner came with a special certificate, which was a fun touch 🤔 We arrived at the hotel at 3 PM and went straight to the hot springs after checking in. There are three private onsen: two outdoor and one indoor. I personally preferred the two outdoor ones; their design and layout are pretty similar, so either one is a great choice. You can also adjust the water temperature yourself, allowing you to soak for longer. Female guests can choose their favorite yukata at the front desk; the patterns are all beautiful and perfect for photos. The hotel's service was the best I experienced on this entire trip. The staff member who served us dinner and prepared our futons in the evening had a hearing impairment, yet they provided the most satisfying service my family and I received on this trip. Knowing I had to catch a train the next day, they proactively informed me that taxis in Beppu were currently in high demand and helped me pre-book one. I highly recommend this place for its private onsen, delicious food, and excellent service."

The room was spacious, and the balcony was also very large with a nice view. The open-air onsen was amazing! The service was excellent. They even had massage devices for body and face. The matcha tea bags were delicious too. I felt a lot of thought went into everything.

I stayed with my family during our trip to Beppu, and it exceeded all my expectations. We wanted to experience a traditional-style Ryokan, and this was the perfect choice. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that everything was well managed. One of the highlights was the ability to reserve a private bath, which made the experience even more relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, making it an ideal place to rest and unwind. The location is also convenient—just a 7-10 minute taxi ride from Beppu Station. I highly recommend this Ryokan to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Beppu!

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Beppu Station. It was raining on the day we arrived, so we took a taxi which cost around 50 HKD. We had a fantastic sea-view room. Although the facilities were a bit old, they were very well maintained. The breakfast was abundant and also served in a restaurant with an amazing sea view. A truly great experience.

No car? No problem! Right next to Beppu Station, there's a dedicated waiting room for the hotel, so you don't have to worry about rain or snow. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes. The hotel is situated on a hill, offering expansive views from all common areas. Inside, there's a large gift shop and a game center, perfect for both adults and children. Even though my room had a mountain view, I had no regrets; seeing the misty mountains and the steam from the hot springs was very characteristic of Beppu. Of course, the most important part is the hot springs! I'm not sure if there are private baths, but the public bathhouse was already fantastic! There are three large outdoor tiered pools, so even with a lot of people, it doesn't feel crowded or awkward. They overlook the bay, and the front-most pool even allows you to lie down – I really loved that spot. There are also several smaller single-person pools. The sauna was surprisingly in the outdoor area too; although small, it also offered sea views. And there were at least three cleaning staff constantly tidying up, keeping both the pools and floors very clean. I soaked in the hot springs three times during my one-night stay ♨️ – it was incredibly relaxing! Dinner was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes, and you could drink as much beer, red wine, white wine, and sake as you wanted! All the desserts were delicious. One more thing: even though I didn't take photos, I noticed many child-friendly details, such as a kids' food corner and utensils at the buffet, and changing tables in the hot spring changing rooms. It was my first time seeing this at a hot spring hotel, which is quite rare. I took the wrong train when I arrived, delaying my plans for an entire day. Combined with the rain, traveling solo, without a car, and not wanting to walk around in the wet, I only did one thing in Beppu: I just enjoyed the hotel 😹. Booking a good hotel is really important; my mood completely improved once I got here 🫶🏻

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here in late May 2026. And wow - this place is super impressive! This was by far the best hotel / resort we’ve stayed at during our Japan trip (nearly 3 months of traveling central and southern Japan). The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, luxurious. You have your own private indoor onsen, outdoor onsen, cold plunge tub, sauna and if in the summer, your own private pool. You have a full size kitchen, full western style living room with a TV, full Japanese style living room, multiple toilets and a beautiful bathroom. And a beautiful view overlooking Beppu below! The food is absolutely delicious. The staff and their service are professional, knowledgeable and very welcoming. It’s close to the 7 hells of Beppu attractions so it makes for an easy day trip too. And if you’re looking for a public onsen experience, its sister property is a 5 minute walk from this resort. It’s a newer establishment without many reviews yet, but take my word for it, you won’t be disappointed. We truly loved our stay here and we will definitely be back.

Very satisfied with our stay. Room is abit small as the room was constructed out of a container but they still managed to pack everything nicely into the room. Location may not be ideal for travellers relying on public transport but no issue if you’re driving as there are parking lots available for hotel guests in front of the hotel. Love the amenities provided (full range of Pola products and Refa hair dryer!) They even provide a Balmuda kettle. As hotel is located within a park, there is no security fencing. There is a main gate where hotel guests need to scan their card to enter hotel premise but public can easily walk over the slightly raised flower bed to enter the hotel premise even without the need to enter via the main gate. Such setup is only possible in Japan where security is not a major issue and known for being a safe country but we’ll be concerned if this is in another country. There is also no shelter from hotel rooms to the parking area so managing luggage during rainy days will be challenging. But overall we love our stay at this hotel.

This was my second time at Hoshino, and I went with friends. Everything was excellent, from the service and facilities to the environment, cleanliness, and food. The entire building faces Beppu Bay, with a minimalist design that still feels warm. The abundant use of white space, wood, and natural light makes it feel like living in a breathing art museum. The public spaces are very quiet, even when the hotel is full, maintaining the consistent understated elegance of the ”Kai” series.

This spacious accommodation is ideal for a family getaway with several members. It was tidy and cozy, making it a pleasant place to stay with my kids. The highlight was the garden outside and the large windows that let in the morning sun, creating a lovely atmosphere for breakfast while gazing outside. Unfortunately, the hot spring was out of order when we got there, but it appeared to be large enough for two people to enjoy. I was initially concerned that the size of the apartment would make it chilly upon arrival, but the heating system was effective, and the place warmed up quickly.

I chose this seaside hotel to enjoy the sunrise and sunset while soaking in the hot spring. The two meals included were decent, and the seafood was fresh. The mentaiko for breakfast was a local specialty. The room was spacious, with a separate wet and dry area, and the balcony was fantastic – facing the ocean, perfect for drying clothes... haha. I didn't book a private onsen because it wasn't crowded at all; every time I went, I had the place to myself. Soaking in the onsen while watching the sunrise was truly amazing! 😎 It's a 10-minute walk from the JR station to the hotel. Right across the first road from the hotel entrance, there's a large shopping mall with a supermarket, Muji, Starbucks, and everything you could need. However, most seaside hotels tend to be older. This one has been renovated and feels quite new. You have to lay out your own futon on the tatami mat (mine was a mess!), so for elderly guests with mobility issues, I'd recommend a standard bed. 🛌
