"Had a clean and efficient service experience. Don’t miss the chance to visit the onsen during sunrise and sunset—the simply breathtaking scenery enhances my relaxation. Although the layout of the room is rather inconvenient, it's generally clean but a little aged. Best recommend to take the seaview for sunrise or sunset from your bathroom ."

"We selected a Japanese style tatami room which was nice a spacious. However, most if the room looks old and very dated. Clock kept making ticking noise that made it hard to sleep but hotel staff was very kind and quick to remove it when we requested. Hotel was very crowded and full of children so the hot spring bath was also very crowded and noisy at times. It was very nice for the hotel to provide free snacks and beverages until late at night. It's a very family hotel and the view is excellent. It's actually in Hiji about 20 mins from Beppu centre. Breakfast is very good. We enjoyed our stay but the rooms can go for a round of uplift to not look dated."

"The Japanese-style tatami room was very comfortable. Having dinner included was convenient, and the food was decent. Breakfast was standard. The outdoor hot spring had a nice view, and you could watch the sunrise in the morning."

"The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view."

"We were traveling by car. The hotel offers parking right downstairs, but if it's full, you'd have to park elsewhere, and those spots aren't particularly close. The staff at the entrance provided us with a parking pass and a map, but the pass didn't work when we tried to use it. We eventually circled back to the hotel's main parking area and, thankfully, found an available spot. Our traditional Japanese-style room had a lovely sea view. The onsen (hot spring bath) also offered sea views, which was very relaxing, though guests need to lay out their own futons. The hotel is approximately 6 kilometers from Beppu's most famous attraction, the Beppu Hells. The buffet included with our stay was decent."

"The room was wonderful the view, the cleanliness, the staff. Parking was free. They carried our bags to the room despite our insistence to carry it ourselves, the kaiseki course meal in room was wonderful. Onsen at the rooftop was great. All in all best ryokan/hotel we stayed in, in Kyushu. Will definitely be staying here should we be in beppu again."

"This was the first time my friends and I visited Beppu, and out of all the places I've stayed in Japan, this accommodation was by far the best for our group of four. It features an open-air onsen on the rooftop and a comfortable lounge on the first floor. Right in front of the hotel, there's a beach perfect for morning strolls. What truly surprised me was finding a Don Quijote Beppu store right next door! Its proximity to the bus terminal (a 10-minute walk) made it incredibly convenient for a day trip to Yufuin. There's a Seven-Eleven nearby, a Lawson near the terminal, and even a local supermarket on the basement floor of the Lawson building, making it easy to grab bento boxes. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, making it a very accessible location. Having staff who could speak Korean was especially helpful for getting information. But what we were most grateful for was an incident with the onsen. We were about to use it, but someone had tampered with the temperature settings after a staff member had set it, making the water incredibly hot and almost unusable. Late at night, a Korean-speaking staff member and the manager endured the scorching water to fix the issue for us, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our last night. "This traditional Japanese onsen hotel is conveniently located by the sea, about a 12-minute walk from Beppu Station, with a bus stop ('Beppu Tower Stop') right nearby. We booked a room with a private hot spring bath and a two-meal plan (dinner and breakfast). Being able to enjoy the sea view while soaking in the onsen was wonderful. The hotel wasn't as old as I had imagined, and the room was surprisingly spacious and well-equipped. However, as other reviews mentioned, the front desk staff are mostly older aunties and uncles, and their service attitude was just average, though it seems to be pretty standard for service staff in the Oita region. You'll need to book your dinner and breakfast times when checking in. Check-in is after 3 PM, and check-out is before 10 AM. A walk along the nearby sea is very pleasant, and the view from the window is picturesque. Overall, I'd still recommend it, especially if you book a sea-view room."
