"Very cozy accommodation, the old lady was busy in and out by herself, and she was very enthusiastic! The bathing room downstairs is very comfortable, and I am the only one taking a bath there every time. The breakfast is also very rich!"

"From the outside, it looks like an old hotel there, but it is very clean, the service is good, there is an onsen to soak in, and there is a parking lot, very convenient. As for breakfast, I would like to improve the taste to maintain the original Japanese style, it would be very good. Personally, I think the taste is a bit salty."

"Very good accommodation, good room, very lovely staff!!! Friendly, kind, can speak English fluently. If I come back to this city again, I will definitely come back here again. The room is very good, hot heater, hot water, there is a bathtub to soak in, delicious breakfast. When we went it was winter, the accommodation will have a pick up service to the station area, but when we went there were few people, so they took us to the tourist area as well. And in the evening, they picked us up and returned to the accommodation, including dropping us off so we could catch a bus to go to another city."

"Awesome hotel, outdoor hot springs! The room is clean and comfortable, the food is OK, the ice cream is delicious, there are many monkeys on the tree in front of the hotel, it's very interesting, downhill is Happo-one. There are many free buses to various ski resorts near the hotel. If you take the bus, you should get off at Goryu Hotel to avoid walking uphill with your luggage.
I have to praise the high-quality guests and front desk of the hotel. The child forgot his watch when taking a hot spring bath at night, and found it at the front desk the next day."

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.
The equipment in the hotel is clean and new. I also liked the design of the hotel.
One slight disadvantage was that the hotel was far from many facilities in Hakuba; it would be fine if I were driving. The heat in the summertime makes moving around Hakuba difficult."

"The experience my brother and myself had at Hakuba UNNTYOU was exceptional . Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in very close walking distance to Goryu ski resort.
The twin room despite being basic was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast included was a lovely mix of Chinese cuisine which provided all the energy needed for a full day up on the mountain. Additionally they provided very cheap options for cold/hot beverages aswell as snacks which we loved after coming back from a full day of activities .
The hotel has its own onsen style bath which was great to unwind in , adding the the authentic Japanese experience.
The staff at this hotel despite not speaking very much English provided excellent service to us and always went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and much more .
The kindness from the staff aswell as the abundance of available facilities made this an excellent experience for us both . Highly recommend this hotel to any travellers wanting an authentic Japanese experience within a very westernised ski"

"The hotel is located on a hillside behind Hakuba Station. It takes about 15 minutes to walk one kilometer through the fields, which is very convenient (it seems that you can also contact the front desk to have someone pick you up). The hotel's dinner is a buffet, with all-you-can-eat sashimi and sushi, and you can enjoy the snow-capped mountain scenery from the restaurant window. Hotel guests can soak in the open-air hot spring for free. The open-air hot spring faces the snow-capped mountains. The experience is very good. There is ice water in the refrigerator in the room, which is not very considerate. The hotel has a sense of history and has many works of art. It is definitely a treasure hotel in Hakuba Village. There are several scheduled shuttle buses every day at the hotel entrance to the surrounding scenic spots, and it is also very close to Ode Park. I will stay here again next time I come to Baima Village!"

GGuest UserIt was a very comfortable stay. The room was especially clean, the staff were attentive, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. It was only a one-night stay, but it was a great experience, especially when combined with the various experiences I had in Hakuba. The only thing I noticed was that the shower water made a big mess on the bathroom floor, even though it was a twin room. If I have the chance to return, I'd like to have dinner there as well.

However, Mr Hiroki the supervisor and the staff in general tried their level best to ensure a comfortable stay for us. The hotel is quite comfortable and serves its purpose as a hotel for those seeking to head to ski fields as the shuttle bus stop is outside the hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe price of the snow season is quite expensive. The big bed room is 5000+, and the Gaza hair bed is more than 300. This hotel is marked with four stars, but the Google search is marked with Samsung. Not run by locals in Japan, the sanitary environment is really average, the big bathing venue is sticky, there are floating hair in the pool, and the towels are thrown everywhere. The carpet used in the room, but the vacuum is not thorough, and the dust allergy has to wear a mask, and the purifier can be comfortable. Breakfast is all European, there is no Japanese soup or the like, cold food. I wanted to use a dryer, but as soon as I entered the socks, the dryer was full of black hair. The pick-up day was also promised 15 minutes, but I waited for 30 minutes. I called again and said that there were other things on the road. Not recommended, if you want to come to Baima, it is recommended to book other hotels.

We had an excellent experience at Garden Pension Obogurgl. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Hakuba Goryu lifts, which made getting on the mountain super easy every day. The pension itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful, with a lovely garden that adds to the charm.
Our room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for ski gear, and the communal areas had a relaxed, homely vibe. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with local tips and transport advice.
We especially enjoyed being able to walk everywhere—whether it was to the nearby convenience stores, local restaurants, or just strolling among the beautiful pine trees. The large cherry blossom tree out the front added a special touch to the peaceful surroundings. If you're after a quiet, scenic, and welcoming place to stay in Hakuba Goryu, Garden Pension Obogurgl is a fantastic choice.

GGuest UserIt's the second time I stayed here after 5 years. Because the price increased so much during the Chinese New Year, I only stayed for one night, but the children still liked it very much. They could find candies to eat, and there were snacks in the evening. There was milk and ice cream in the hot springs. I was satisfied with everything. Although the hotel is old, it is well maintained. The hot springs have a light smell of sulfur. Every day after skiing, the snacks and hot springs are super comfortable. The only drawback is that the location is a little bit off. You can either take the hotel shuttle or the ski resort shuttle to go out.

LLY888The hotel was cozy and close to happo-one resort, the happo bus station, and a few ski/snowboard equipment rentals.
I stayed in a traditional tatami room - I enjoy sleeping on the mats with just a comforter but there were mattresses available in the closet for those who prefer it.
The best part of my stay was the customer service. I had to drop some luggage off before check-in to hit the slopes, and when I returned, not only was my room ready for me, my luggage was taken up as well.
In the evening another staff member enthusiastically help me set up the ironing machine as I needed to quickly steam a shirt, and provided recommendations on places to eat.

MMeowVanWhat an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel.
Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself.
We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet.
In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies.
Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!

GGuest UserCome to Hakuba Village Iwadake to see the autumn leaves. The air is fresh and there is a sense of open space. The place to stay is very warm and the landlord’s meticulous reception allows us to rest and regain our strength. Next time we will come to experience the good snow scene.

GGuest UserVery welcoming guesthouse owner, the owner family kindly provide me breakfast and shuttle service to bus terminal, which I very appreciate and help my a lot in the snowy conditions.
The bedroom I stayed are clean and tidy. The guesthouse comes with cozy bathrooms, small onsen and even a Finnish sauna room, a very comfortable to stay after a ski day.
