"I found the rooms surprisingly spacious and comfortable for Japan, easily accommodating my needs with great lighting and bedding. I was impressed by the excellent cleanliness and appreciated the professional, English-speaking staff who helped me with local tips and luggage. "I booked this hotel mainly for the view, and it definitely delivered. The west-facing room looks directly out onto the Ferris wheel, making it feel like a living painting from the window. The small balcony was perfect for fresh air and enjoying the scenery.
The hotel is located within Meriken Park, offering a quiet escape while still being in the heart of Kobe. There's a free shuttle bus service to and from Sannomiya Station, and you can explore the park right outside the hotel. For shopping at Daimaru and other areas, it's about a 1 to 1.5 km walk through the park, or you can take the free shuttle bus for flexible travel.
As a long-standing landmark, the hotel has been around for years. While it has undergone renovations, the lobby and interior still retain a sense of history and age. The basic services and facilities are all fine, but nothing particularly stands out.
Considering its location and view, the weekday prices offer good value for money. However, weekend prices are a bit high, so staying during off-peak times would be more economical."

"1. I stayed for four nights, but the front desk didn't mention that housekeeping would come on the third day when I checked in. I thought if I didn't hang the 'do not disturb' sign, they wouldn't enter the room. Coincidentally, on the third day, I had period cramps and was resting in bed. Around 1 PM, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and then directly swiped their card to open it 😑. Hearing the door open, I immediately shouted a few times for them to close it, and thankfully, they didn't come in (PS: From the sound of it, they seemed to be an Indian man, imagine the internal drama I was going through 😑). Afterward, I reported it to the front desk staff, Ms. Sakura, who explained the situation and apologized repeatedly. However, not informing guests beforehand about this is really unfriendly.
2. The location is close to Sannomiya Station, which is convenient for transportation, but it's also right by the train tracks. It was genuinely a bit noisy. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend booking a hotel further away from the railway tracks (PS: Earplugs from FamilyMart saved my life 😐).
3. Before booking, I saw reviews mentioning hygiene issues, but I thought they were isolated incidents. After checking in, I also 'happily received' other people's hair 😑, and the bed sheets weren't very clean either."

I accidentally left my bag in the dining area overnight and only realized it the next morning... I felt like my world was falling apart! 🤣
I immediately rushed to the front desk to ask if a bag had been found, not really expecting much. But when the staff member asked for my room number, a glimmer of hope appeared. Then, she appeared before me with my bag, and I was so emotional I almost cried! Thank you again! 💐 You truly showed me what honesty, security, and genuine kindness mean.
The hotel itself is super convenient, just about 200 meters from JR Sannomiya Station. Everything you could need is nearby, and it's so easy to get anywhere by JR. When we left, the Limousine Bus stop for Kansai Airport was also close, within 500-600 meters, making our departure seamless.
From 5 PM to 8 PM, there's a fantastic happy hour with free drinks and snacks. We enjoyed it for all three days of our stay – great atmosphere! It really added to the fun of our visit 🥐🧇🥜🍪🍫🧈🥂🍭. While the room wasn't huge, for us, as sightseers not laden with shopping bags, the size was perfectly adequate.
Another thing to praise -> I booked a king room for 2 adults and 1 child. On the day of check-in, I didn't even mention anything, just checked in normally. When I opened the door, the room had one small bed and one large bed! 👏👏👏 (Perhaps when they copied our passports, they noticed our child was older and thought two beds would be better). A massive THANK YOU! 🌹🌹🌹 All in all, if I have the chance to visit Kobe again, I will definitely choose to stay here!"

"A family of three, we were extremely happy with this hotel during our trip to Japan 🏨. The public bath was great, and not too crowded. But the absolute highlight was breakfast – the service was top-notch and the selection was amazing. We got to try all sorts of local specialties, and the bread was incredibly delicious. You could tell they put a lot of effort into making breakfast special. The room was spacious enough to open two suitcases, which was a bonus, and it was quiet with good soundproofing. Plus, it's really close to Ikuta Shrine ⛩️."

"Stayed here 2 days before my Kobe cruise and it was good enough to rebook for another 3 days after we returned. The hotel is quiet new and located on top of the sannomiya station, giving underground access to most trains and shopping malls nearby. It's basically the center of Kobe.
Exits are 1st floor to the street and 2nd floor to station. Reception is 17th floor. Rooms are slightly bigger than most hotels in Japan. Even number room gives you the larger massage machine but room is smaller than odd numbered rooms. These have a smaller massage chair but bigger space and faces the port terminal if you have a cruise ship waiting.
They provide amenities, coffee and tea at 17th floor.
Did not try the breakfast but there is a convenient store on 2nd floor of the station, near the hotel exit - lots if
sandwiches and snacks here. There're hundreds of restaurants and malls underground and you'll get lost most of the time so look for entrance A1 and A2 to get back.
Airport bus from kansai stops 200m away and bus to the airport departs 100m from the station. Most of the highest rated restaurants are not more than 400m from the hotel.
I'll definitely stay here again."

"Located in the central business district, the hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hanshin Sannomiya Station. The walk itself is quite enjoyable, lined with numerous restaurants, gourmet food stalls, and chic boutiques, so the distance wasn't an issue at all. Considering the price, the room was more than satisfactory – clean and well-maintained. The breakfast spread was also excellent. I even found that paying directly at the front desk upon arrival offered a slightly better rate than booking for the next day, making it fantastic value for money. This place is a paradise for shoppers, with a The North Face store right downstairs and other popular brands like Arc'teryx, Mont-bell, Blue Bottle Coffee, and Issey Miyake just a stone's throw away. The area still feels quite local and hasn't been heavily touristed, offering a more genuine and relaxed Japanese experience. The hotel's proximity to the sea also offers a delightful evening stroll to the port, where you can enjoy quiet, undisturbed views. The gentle night air and boundless romantic serenity were truly therapeutic."

"This time, I was assigned a room on the 29th floor with a mountain view, which I think offers the most beautiful scenery! ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe is just 1 subway stop from Sannomiya Railway Terminal, at the heart of Kobe's exciting downtown area. Kobe Airport is 8 km away. To Kyoto it takes 30 minutes by Shinkansen train, and to Osaka only 15 minutes.
"Although this is an older five-star hotel, the lobby is spacious and features the traditional five-star amenities, which are well-maintained and appear very clean. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Shinkansen line. It was raining on the day we arrived, but there's a covered walkway directly from the Shinkansen to the hotel, so we didn't get wet, which was very handy. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly. They even informed us about ongoing exterior renovations, mentioning that workers might be passing by at certain times. It turned out to be work on an annex, quite far from our room, but I appreciated the heads-up. We booked a twin-bedded city view room, which was very large and even had a capsule coffee machine, though I couldn't use it as I don't drink coffee. The staff cleaned our room thoroughly every day. For breakfast, you can go to the buffet restaurant on the 4th floor, which offers a good variety of Japanese and Western dishes. The staff there were also very attentive, reminding guests around 10:00 AM that the last seating was at 10:30 AM. Alternatively, you can opt for a set menu on the 5th floor. This is served in a restaurant where the staff wear kimonos and are equally friendly. We had three breakfasts in total and chose the set menu one day; it was simple but tasty. Right next to the hotel is the Herb Garden, which is easily accessible by cable car. A short walk down from there, there's a glass house resembling an indoor rainforest. We enjoyed afternoon tea in a café inside while listening to a piano and violin performance. The hotel is just one subway stop from Sannomiya. It's also easy to walk to the Kitano-cho (Ijinkan Street) area and then to Sannomiya. My only minor complaint was that our room was quite close to the elevator; I would have preferred a room further away. The hotel also offers a direct bus service to Kansai Airport, but it only runs twice a day, at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Since we missed the 11:00 AM bus, we took the subway one stop to the Sannomiya Bus Terminal, which is diagonally opposite Hankyu, where buses run every 20 minutes – also quite convenient."

Amazing
MM19459****Came to run the Kobe Marathon, and this place was incredibly convenient. It's less than 1 km walk from the starting point, and the race even passes right by the hotel! The hotel's hot spring was very comfortable, and they offered free popsicles, coffee, and Yakult – super happy about that! There are tons of restaurants downstairs, and it's walking distance to Daimaru department store. I'll definitely stay here again for the next Kobe Marathon!

MMairyOur stay in this hotel was great! I wish we stayed here longer than one evening.
Our traditional Japanese room was very spacious and had two separate toilet rooms attached as well as a bathroom. The view from our room was amazing! And sitting area before the huge windows even had a massage chair and a vanity. The shoji doors showed some signs of wear but everything were very clean.
Our kaiseki dinner was spectacular and incredibly tasty. But I wish there were some instructions for foreigners how to enjoy it properly. Our server didn't speak English and we didn't speak Japanese so there was a minor misunderstanding but everything was resolved 😅
I'm definitely a fan of such kind of a meal now!
We visited all the hot springs that are available in this hotel and it's sister hotel across the river. I liked the silver indoor spring in our hotel and gold outdoor spring in sister-hotel the most. Hot springs are closed after 24:00. And open from 6:00 to 9:00 nest morning. Unfortunately they are closed from 9:00 to 12:00(check out time) which make it impossible to enjoy them in the morning for those who prefer to sleep in((
Would definitely reccommend the stay for relaxing and luxurious experience.

MMingziI stayed here for three nights in July 2024, and when I came back to Kobe, I naturally chose the same hotel. This time, the room was significantly larger than the previous one of the same type. The bed was still quite firm, which is a real plus for anyone with back issues. I slept soundly, as always. There's a Don Quijote right outside the door, and the famous Ikuta Shrine is just a few hundred meters away. Sannomiya Station is also only about a 7-8 minute walk. The area around the hotel is very lively, with all sorts of small restaurants and shops. The disposable amenities provided by the front desk were excellent, especially the hair ties, which my daughter particularly approved of.

AAnonymous UserNot sure what has happened to Japan standard in the past couple of years but had called the hotel to confirm that linens are scent free (standard in Japan before) and was told yes. Unfortunately they are not, this new laundry detergent that is slowly spreading throughout Japan is absolutely horrible causing all sorts of allergic reactions (not only to me.) I start having rashes, compromised breathing, and inflammation issues. If it’s the same detergent used back in America, then it might be eco-friendly, but definitely not human friendly. I truly hope that Japan goes back to the way it was before the introduction of some western products filled with harmful chemicals to humans. It is not because you don’t react to it that it is not harming your body, it’s only a question of time and when it does, you won’t know why and there is no turning back. Take it from an Asian American born who was the biggest fan of American marketed products. We do have good products like ECOLAB, which is both, sustainable for the environment without compromising human health. Maybe laundry company should look into that company or simply return to Japanese products before. Good thing thing their pyjama are still scent free so I had to wrap the bed and cover with their pyjama to get through the night.

GGuest UserLike the quaint yet very elaborate ryokan style of living. The onsen may not be as big and fancy as in noboribetsu but it is still comfortable. I subscribed to their dinner and breakfast which was pretty good. I definitely live the wooden bathtub in my room. They have shuttle services to and from Arima Onsen region. The only complain I have is the weak wifi.

DdcmcszAbout 15 mins’ walk from Shin Kobe JR. 10 mins’ walk to Sanomiya. Location was ok. The room was not too small. Clean environment, coffee machine and amenities available at lobby.
Had problems with room WiFi the first night. Front desk didn’t have solution upon my phone inquiry. After reporting to CTrip, hours later, a Chinese speaking staff came to my door to help me. And problem solved. The next day, hotel sent a note asking for my feedback on the issue. Which was a professional and nice gesture.
Breakfast was a chain fast food connected to the lobby. Front desk staff can communicate in English. Overall, good experience with this price.
离新神户JR站步行约二十分钟；三宫约十分钟，附近貌似没有地铁站；经济型酒店，房间不算很小，有浴缸；
首晚，下午发现房间Wi-Fi用不了；电话前台只会Sorry；跟携程说了后，晚上有中国员工上门，解决了问题；第二天，酒店还询问反馈；这点还是服务不错，毕竟是喜来登旗下，还是更专业；不像京都的Tokyu Stay Sanjo Karasuma三条乌丸，酒店设施有问题，装没事的。
设施一般，该有的都有；一楼有洗浴用品，调味包大小的一次性牙膏很方便；早晨就是大堂旁边的松屋，要另外买；
前台员工英语可以交流；第一天接待我的眼镜大叔，动作有一点慢，慢慢跟他说还是可以的。整体体验还不错，毕竟价格不贵。

GGuest UserHotel service was good. Dinner and breakfast was provided as part of the stay. Food was good for the stay since there are not much options for food at Arima. Most shops are closed by afternoon. Though the hotel is old but it’s renovated (except for the old wooden cupboard) which made the stay more pleasant. Onsen is indoor and small so will need to go at hours with lesser people.

We could also store our luggage for free. The lobby offered complimentary toiletries and tea bags, with DHC skincare products and six different types of tea bags. This is the most comprehensive selection I've seen among similar hotels.

LlimmaysallyMost comfortable bed that I stay in Japan for the past 2 months. Lucky we stay here for 4 nights. Bed is very firm but not hard which is good for our back. Room is very clean and bathroom is spaces that I can sit on bath tub and shower. It would be perfect if the room is slightly bigger. They charge parking for 2000¥ for night which is too high for me but the front desk young lady ( ********* girl) who was very friendly and helpful, she recommended me to park my car at nearby coin parking which cost me on 800¥ for 24 hours. CCamilla TamI booked this place at the last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Arima Onsen by one night and most hotels were fully-booked. I searched on *********** but couldn't find any suitable accomodation so thought to try Trip.com. This hotel came up only on this site and I was delighted to find it. At first I was concerned by the lack of reviews, but all the reviews were good and the room looked ideal for a family of four; 2 western beds and 2 tatami beds, with spacious living area and separate bathroom and toilet. It was really great value for money. The size of the room was very generous, and the facilities were great. We made use of the Onsen baths and the table tennis room during our stay. None of the staff spoke english but this wasn't an issue as they were all adept at using google translate. The location is also fine - it is situated between the town and the ropeway, so it is easy walking distance to each, which was very useful since they dont offer any shuttle service. All in all I would reccomend it for a short stay in Arima onsen as it is really good value for money.
