"The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. It's just a short walk to Daimaru and the airport bus stop, right across from Sannomiya Station. The hot springs are also great, though during my stay, some Koreans were showering very rudely, splashing water everywhere, even onto people in the pools. Very uncivilized. Facilities: Complete Cleanliness: Excellent, even the remote control was bagged, very satisfied. Environment: Quiet Service: Late check-out was very useful."

"Excellent value for money and a fantastic experience! The hotel is located in Chinatown, surrounded by tons of great food options, and transportation is quite convenient. The indoor hot spring, sauna, and bath facilities are absolutely wonderful! If you love soaking in hot springs and enjoying a sauna, you definitely shouldn't miss this. Soaking multiple times a day is pure bliss! The staff's service attitude is great, and the hygiene and environment are also very good. Although the room size isn't large, it's really clean and tidy. The clothes and slippers provided were perfect to change into before heading straight to the bath! Some of Kobe's attractions are also within walking distance. I highly recommend this place to all my friends!"

"500m from kobe tower. We select this hotel because there is japanese style room with public Onsen available. Big room for 4-6 members can be fit. I recommend the hotel team to clean the air con as so many dust but there is Air humidifier machine set up inside the room too. Thank you and we love it.☺️"

"Overall, the experience was pleasant, with the only minor drawback being the price, which was a bit steep. While I had hoped for a more traditional Japanese garden and architecture, the hotel itself leans towards a modern Japanese aesthetic. Visiting in summer, gazing at the lush green mountains through the window truly feels like a picturesque framed view, and the hot springs were wonderfully rejuvenating. However, I suspect autumn would be the most opportune time to visit, to witness the mountains ablaze with crimson foliage (assuming the trees aren't evergreen). A misunderstanding arose at check-out due to unclear communication regarding payment policies between the booking platform, the hotel, and myself. The hotel insisted they had not received the online payment and demanded offline payment for a range of services, including breakfast, dinner, taxes, accommodation, and private onsen. As a customer, I initially thought I was being double-charged, as I had already made a payment online. The total cost for the two-day stay was approximately 221,110 JPY, which converts to roughly 11,000 HKD or CNY. Upon immediately contacting Trip.com's customer service, they confirmed that our online payment covered both accommodation and meals, and advised that the hotel's demand for offline payment for these items was contentious and unnecessary. It was only later clarified that the payment made on Trip.com was merely a hold to secure the room and would be fully refunded upon check-out."

"From Osaka Uehommachi, go directly to Uozaki (Google Maps says ”no transfer” means you get off and change to the next bus at the same platform), then transfer to the Rokko Express (which offers a wonderful view and a unique experience). Get off at Island Center Station three stops later, and the hotel is right at the East Exit of the overpass. Bus No. 23 is located on the first floor of the hotel, reaching Kobe Mita in the city center in about 20 minutes. The stop is right in front of the Hankyu Department Store. There are also buses to Shin-Kobe, but they run less frequently. The bus to Kobe Airport is also on the first floor. Reservations can be made at the front desk, and there's a self-service ticket machine at the entrance. The earliest bus leaves at 6:23 AM, and the trip takes just over an hour. There's a FamilyMart convenience store next to the hotel. We booked a terrace room, which had a large outdoor terrace. The hotel's Hama Onsen is open until midnight and features several large and small pools, including an outdoor area. It's a great place to soak after strolling through the streets."

"We took an express bus from Osaka to Arima Onsen Station. Upon arrival, the hotel shuttle was conveniently waiting right next to the station to take us to the hotel. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering a very comfortable environment. Both the outdoor and indoor public baths feature the famous Kinsen (golden) and Ginsen (silver) hot springs. The hotel service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was abundant. We also pre-booked the Japanese-style dinner, which was delicious and highly recommended."

"Lovely small hotel with most amenities one might need. We missed having a laundry, as it seems to be common for hotels in Japan, but it's a very small drawback. Lounge area was lovely to relax and have a snack after the Onsen, we had the public Onsen to ourselves in the early morning and the private ones were a breeze to reserve and were always available. Great value for money compared to other places we looked at in Arima Onsen. Staff were upbeat and friendly. We loved it."

Outstanding
TtomsskyIt's a wonderful place, quiet and cozy. The owner and staff are very friendly. The environment is elegant, like your own garden villa, with birds singing and flowers blooming. The included kaiseki dinner was also amazing, with great presentation and flavor. The hot springs are also very good. Soaking in the hot springs while listening to the mountain stream is very relaxing!

GGuest UserWhat an amazing stay! It exceeded all expectations. The place is super nice with design interior, rooms are warm, spacious and comfortable. The whole place is modern, yet has a very traditional authentic feel and feels serene. The staff is very attentive, caring and fulfills your every need - they make you feel welcome, and explain everything to you very well even if you are a foreigner, there was no problem communicating in english. You are guaranteed 2 private stays in the private onsen spa of your chice - one in the evening and one in the morning, the time slots are more than enough to cover guest capacity and you have choice. The public onsen is pretty awesome too, although i felt so relaxed after private onsen for so long i went there just because of curiosity lol. The dinner and breakfast are HUGE and are SUPER tasty. Excellent products and execution, it was my first time tasting a5 wagyu. I recommend you do not eat lunch before coming to the ryokan for dinner, maybe just breakfast or something small because you will want to eat everything in this amazing meal set. I still feel kind of full 1 day after checking out. The hotel has nice common areas with free beverages, board games, ping pong ans some slot machines for entertainment. You can reserve karaoke room or get massaged in the automatic massage chairs. After we chcecked in at 3pm we did not need to go anywhere away from the hotel and just enjoyed our time there. If you want to book very specific timeslots for the private spa come in at that 3pm, because people queue up 30 min before in the lobby. Although i felt this was not really necessarry because like i said, the capacity is calculated well and you are guaranteed 2 entramces with available time slots. The first time slot starts at 4pm and is in 1hr intervals - with 5 available onsens up until the night. Morning onsen had plenty of free slots. They also offer free shuttle bus and it was always quick, we even called from public telephone in Arima when before checkin and had no problems arranging pickup in english. What i wish is if they were a little bit more flexible with breakfast times, because you also reserve a time slot but it's not like it's a course meal but traditional breakfast + buffet and you have to decide at the check in, which is kind of soon to think about when you want to have morning meal, but it's not too big problem. I guess it is a way to prevent everyone rushing in 5 min before closing time like some people do. The breakfast has plenty of variety and you even get a preheated own grill! Overall, we couldn't pick a better place for our visit in Arima, we are so relaxed and it was oje of the best places we have ever been to!

GGuest UserI have to express my sincere gratitude to Ms Hatsumi from the hotel. Thanks to her help, I had a wonderful trip to Rokkōsan. She is definitely a polite, professional, and of course pretty lady. Her communication skills are good especially that she speaks fluent English which would be of great help for someone like me who don't speak any japanese. Although the original local tour was full of bookings , she helped me reserve a taxi and solve my ease of communicating with local taxi drivers. The view and environment is splendid with a great hotel service teams. I would highly recommend to someone who wants to experience a unique accommodation experience. Though the drawbacks , as you might know already , is 1) no private bathroom 2) not sound-proof building materials , but it is understandable given that the hotel is with ancient history

YYoumaomaodeyingyingNot worth it. We spent 20,000 yen to book two rooms for 5 people. We had breakfast and dinner when we arrived, and paid an additional 160,000 yen when we settled. The room was big, but the floor was too high to be comfortable. The hot spring in the room was not open-air, but only in the bathtub. The public bath was very small, with only a small pool. The Kaiseki cuisine was average, and the breakfast was Western style.

MMikhail MikhThis was our second visit here. The staff is very helpful, and there is a free transfer not just to and from the station - if you want a pickup from the town or the ropeway during your stay, they will help too. The private baths are beautiful and very well maintained, and the reserve-next-as-you-leave-the-previous system is very convenient. Overall, great experience.

MMeowVanThe service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came! The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants. The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely fantastic. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, and the room itself was very comfortable. The traditional Japanese-style room (washitsu) was a particularly charming touch. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisitely prepared, and the onsen (hot spring) was wonderfully relaxing. We stayed with my parents and children, and everyone in our group was thoroughly delighted.

FFuyunlingfengThe most satisfactory hotel on this trip, the service staff is super enthusiastic and thoughtful. I called the hotel front desk immediately when I arrived at the bus station, and the hotel shuttle bus arrived in about 5 minutes. Don't walk to the hotel by yourself, don't! ! ! The hotel facilities are not bad. The room is not big, but it has everything it should have. The Jintang Hot Spring is really great and washed away the fatigue along the way! I booked a one-night stay and two-night stay. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner was great! The quantity was very large! The quantity was very large! I went back to the room after eating too much, and rested for an hour before going to the hot spring! The next day, I ran directly to the train station, which was very convenient! The hotel provides carbonated cakes and Japanese confectionery. After eating, you can consider whether you really want to buy this as a souvenir.

KKKOne word ”positive”. This Xiaoduli is the other garden of another hot spring hotel above. There are kaiseki dishes and fire dinner. In the evening, you have to go up for a minute to eat, so you must go to the 7/F public bathing hot spring to soak first, and then go to eat. You can book a family room (two of them) for 45 minutes per room per day. Before arriving, you can call to book a car to pick you up at the station, and the hotel will email you in advance. The two meals included are very rich, with delicious ingredients, including beef and fish. There is a self-service water bar in the middle lobby, with hot and cold green tea, coffee, etc. There is no toilet in the room, you have to use the public toilet, but it is very clean. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the hot spring street, where you can spend half a day.

11502117****The hot spring is small, but there are few people, and there are both gold and silver hot springs. Meals are between 350 and 600 per person, which is pretty good. Breakfast is more than 100 per person, which is quite cost-effective. The front desk can communicate in English or a translator depending on the personnel situation, and the service attitude is very good. There was a foreign waiter in the restaurant who said he was learning English, but his English was actually very good. There were no reviews when booking, so it was a successful adventure.
