"Super accessible location from the JR Sannomiya train station exit and lots of nice eateries around the area. There are convenient stores and tax-free drug store within 50m from the hotel too. 10-15 minutes walking distance to nearby shopping streets as well as other shopping stores such as Montbell (Tax free), Asics, ABC mart, Uniqlo etc. Can consider taking a train in evening to JR Kobe station and look at the night lights of Kobe Port Tower and then take a 30-40min slow walk back. There’s are also many nice Kobe beef eateries around the JR Sannomiya area too!"

"The service was a little short of. I read reviews that they are very friendly but i felt that it’s not like this. I felt they were very curt in the way they speak and look tired. Nonetheless, the location was good. Just right at the side of the Chinatown. The hotel is very budget not matching to its price, considering that I’ve been to 4 hotels during my stay. The lights goes off quickly at the foyer. The water flow was small. But it’s ok, it’s eco-friendly i guess. The miso soup at breakfast was the yummiest. The carpark was expensive and they will charge you if you arrive early or leave the car at their carpark accordingly after the check in and out hours. This is understandable but this is where the hotel lost some sense of touch here."

"Our twin room was impressively spacious, offering significantly more comfort and room than similarly priced hotels in Kyoto and Osaka. We appreciated the convenience of not needing a key card for elevator access or to activate the room's electricity. We had turned off the AC before leaving, but after cleaning, the staff kindly turned it back on, ensuring we returned to a delightfully cool room. The bathroom featured excellent wet/dry separation, and the bright lighting was perfect for the vanity mirror. The only minor drawback was the somewhat slow WiFi, but it was still acceptable. This 3-star hotel truly provides fantastic value for money! Additionally, the front desk staff spoke very fluent English."

"Great location near Sanomiya train station with lots of food nearby. Also have a supermarket and daiso nearby. The place also provide happy hour wine and snacks like candy and pancake. Kids love it."

"Located in the central business district, the hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hanshin Sannomiya Station. The walk itself is quite enjoyable, lined with numerous restaurants, gourmet food stalls, and chic boutiques, so the distance wasn't an issue at all. Considering the price, the room was more than satisfactory – clean and well-maintained. The breakfast spread was also excellent. I even found that paying directly at the front desk upon arrival offered a slightly better rate than booking for the next day, making it fantastic value for money. This place is a paradise for shoppers, with a The North Face store right downstairs and other popular brands like Arc'teryx, Mont-bell, Blue Bottle Coffee, and Issey Miyake just a stone's throw away. The area still feels quite local and hasn't been heavily touristed, offering a more genuine and relaxed Japanese experience. The hotel's proximity to the sea also offers a delightful evening stroll to the port, where you can enjoy quiet, undisturbed views. The gentle night air and boundless romantic serenity were truly therapeutic."

"Location is quiet and away from the buzzing night life of Kobe. There's a Family Mart across the street and a 7- eleven further down. It's about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the main shopping district. Breakfast variety is more towards traditional Japanese style, with a mix of western such as omelette, sausages, bacons. Disappointed that they don't have cereals/ muselis though."

"The hotel was actually in the opposite side of the JR station and was difficult to locate using Google map. I walked to the Roynet premier hotel and was given a map to walk back to this hotel. It was not the usual standard of the Roynet group, but breakfast was good."

"Rooms are bigger than average Japanese hotels, basically a new hotel just a minute away from KOBE CHINA TOWN. Plenty of shops to enjoy food or shopping. Breakfast is a little simple Indian restaurant, nothing to choose much. Bicycles can been rent at the front desk for 500 JPY per use. Very convenient to get around the city. Will absolutely stay here every-TIME visiting KOBE."

"I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free. The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings. Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage. While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel for its prime location, convenience, and the abundance of nearby facilities. It’s an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kobe, whether for business or leisure."
