"1. I stayed for four nights, but the front desk didn't mention that housekeeping would come on the third day when I checked in. I thought if I didn't hang the 'do not disturb' sign, they wouldn't enter the room. Coincidentally, on the third day, I had period cramps and was resting in bed. Around 1 PM, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and then directly swiped their card to open it 😑. Hearing the door open, I immediately shouted a few times for them to close it, and thankfully, they didn't come in (PS: From the sound of it, they seemed to be an Indian man, imagine the internal drama I was going through 😑). Afterward, I reported it to the front desk staff, Ms. Sakura, who explained the situation and apologized repeatedly. However, not informing guests beforehand about this is really unfriendly. 2. The location is close to Sannomiya Station, which is convenient for transportation, but it's also right by the train tracks. It was genuinely a bit noisy. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend booking a hotel further away from the railway tracks (PS: Earplugs from FamilyMart saved my life 😐). 3. Before booking, I saw reviews mentioning hygiene issues, but I thought they were isolated incidents. After checking in, I also 'happily received' other people's hair 😑, and the bed sheets weren't very clean either."

"Absolutely amazing hotel!! Super clean, environment is top notch. Lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are spacious and beautiful! The bathroom is incredible; part of the mirror doesn’t fog up after the shower which is such a small but excellent touch. Honestly some of the comfiest beds we slept on in Japan and we stayed at 6 different places across 19 days. Customer service is great and they have luggage storage!! 5 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk to the little part of town surrounded by a lot of shops. Right next to a 7Eleven as well. They were even kind enough to accommodate us close to the elevator bc of my knee. Check out is at 11 and it’s a breeze. Food is great too! 100/10 would recommend!"

"it was stated as a smoking room but honestly there’s no cigarette smell! conveniently located right beside a 7-11 konbini & a few more others down the road! i love how towels, slippers, toiletries & even pajamas are generously provided. the nearest exit is exit 6 (stairs) and exit 14!!!!! (upslope if you’re heading to the hotel down) has a godsend elevator! would def book this hotel when i’m back in kobe :-)"

"First and foremost, a huge and sincere thank you to the staff! 🌹 I accidentally left my bag in the dining area overnight and only realized it the next morning... I felt like my world was falling apart! 🤣 I immediately rushed to the front desk to ask if a bag had been found, not really expecting much. But when the staff member asked for my room number, a glimmer of hope appeared. Then, she appeared before me with my bag, and I was so emotional I almost cried! Thank you again! 💐 You truly showed me what honesty, security, and genuine kindness mean. The hotel itself is super convenient, just about 200 meters from JR Sannomiya Station. Everything you could need is nearby, and it's so easy to get anywhere by JR. When we left, the Limousine Bus stop for Kansai Airport was also close, within 500-600 meters, making our departure seamless. From 5 PM to 8 PM, there's a fantastic happy hour with free drinks and snacks. We enjoyed it for all three days of our stay – great atmosphere! It really added to the fun of our visit 🥐🧇🥜🍪🍫🧈🥂🍭. While the room wasn't huge, for us, as sightseers not laden with shopping bags, the size was perfectly adequate. Another thing to praise -> I booked a king room for 2 adults and 1 child. On the day of check-in, I didn't even mention anything, just checked in normally. When I opened the door, the room had one small bed and one large bed! 👏👏👏 (Perhaps when they copied our passports, they noticed our child was older and thought two beds would be better). A massive THANK YOU! 🌹🌹🌹 All in all, if I have the chance to visit Kobe again, I will definitely choose to stay here!"

"In Japan, the Apa Hotel Chain is often used when traveling alone because of its low cost performance. I can't watch TV properly in my travel destination, so I'm always frustrated. This time, the function of smartphone screen mirroring is So I was able to spend it without being bored. I stayed at another hotel nearby, but the price was a little more expensive, the TV was much smaller, there was no function, and the bathroom was ok. It was much better to think of the price ratio of the sick hotel."

"While the hotel's location isn't as bustling as Kobe's Sannomiya commercial center, it offers excellent value for money, considering its convenient transportation, shopping, dining options, and the hotel's facilities. Opened in 2023, the hotel is very new. I booked a 21 sqm Superior Twin Room, and it didn't feel cramped at all. What I particularly liked was the separate wet and dry shower room, making for a very comfortable shower experience. The hotel elevator goes directly to the basement, where a left turn leads straight to the ticket gates for Hankyu and Hanshin Electric Railways. A right turn and a short walk through the underground shopping street takes you to Kobe JR Station. For major Kobe attractions, including Himeji Castle, you'll primarily use these three railway lines (there are also many subways and buses, but they're largely unnecessary). Day trips to downtown Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and other places from this hotel are very convenient and affordable. Outside the hotel and in the underground mall, there are plenty of restaurants for dinner. What I loved most were the two large supermarkets downstairs: Life and KOHYO, which offer many delicious and safe Japanese snacks to satisfy any craving. Many fresh food items start getting discounts in the evening, including sashimi, sushi, and tasty bread, which you can buy to eat in your room. Microwaves are available on the 6th and 10th floors. The hotel service was very responsive to requests, for example, when I asked for an extra pillow or daily coffee packets. The hotel's drawbacks: the duvet was too thick, and although the air conditioning kept me cool, its noise affected my sleep; the refrigerator was also a bit noisy. As a side note, for those traveling independently, getting to the hotel from Kobe Airport: take the Port Liner (elevated light rail) for 18 minutes (340 yen) to Sannomiya Station, then transfer to Kobe JR, Hankyu, or Hanshin lines, and the hotel is just 2 or 3 stops away."

"The location was perfect and parking nearby was convenient. The room was tiny but comfortable, and overall it was a pleasant stay. However, the breakfast was extremely disappointing — it consisted mainly of leftover curry with a few pieces of chicken and no healthy options. There was no choice other than Indian food, mostly carbs and not ideal for starting the day. The hotel website should clearly mention that breakfast is limited to Indian cuisine."

"It's right on the edge of Nankinmachi, a three-minute walk from the subway station. It's convenient for Arima Onsen, Mt. Rokko, and Kobe Port. It's also convenient for Chinese restaurants. The front desk offers comic books, and I happened to be reading Slam Dunk, which was quite good. The hotel is a bit old, though."

"Came to run the Kobe Marathon, and this place was incredibly convenient. It's less than 1 km walk from the starting point, and the race even passes right by the hotel! The hotel's hot spring was very comfortable, and they offered free popsicles, coffee, and Yakult – super happy about that! There are tons of restaurants downstairs, and it's walking distance to Daimaru department store. I'll definitely stay here again for the next Kobe Marathon!"

"The location of Kobe Lumen Hotel is very good. It is in the city and the parking lot is easy to find. It is in the alley directly opposite the hotel and the price is reasonable. The hotel service is very good. We arrived very late and the check-in time was past, but they did not neglect us and arranged to check in immediately. When we checked out in the morning, we were 5 minutes late and they did not say anything. They were very gentle. The room was very clean and warm. The sound insulation effect was very good and suitable for living. In short, because of the comparison with the previous one, this one is simply heaven. The only flaw is that the room is a little small. Everything else is acceptable, mainly because of the cheap price."
