"The hotel's location is fantastic, right by Sannomiya Station, making it super convenient to get around. However, the rooms are tiny. Even for a single person, a double room would feel cramped. There's an Aeon supermarket nearby, along with Hankyu and Daimaru department stores. But honestly, shopping in Kobe isn't as good as Kyoto; there's less variety in stylish items. Next to the hotel, there's Niku Gekijo, which has high ratings on Xiaohongshu (XHJS) and Google, but the meat quality is actually just mediocre. Also, the Yakiniku Juban nearby offers a set menu for around 100+ RMB, but you only get a few very thin slices of meat. Seriously, when it comes to food in Kobe, don't trust Xiaohongshu or Google reviews."

"Absolutely amazing hotel!! Super clean, environment is top notch. Lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are spacious and beautiful! The bathroom is incredible; part of the mirror doesn’t fog up after the shower which is such a small but excellent touch. Honestly some of the comfiest beds we slept on in Japan and we stayed at 6 different places across 19 days. Customer service is great and they have luggage storage!! 5 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk to the little part of town surrounded by a lot of shops. Right next to a 7Eleven as well. They were even kind enough to accommodate us close to the elevator bc of my knee. Check out is at 11 and it’s a breeze. Food is great too! 100/10 would recommend!"

"Relatively far from the stations (＜1km) but it is an easy walk since the sidewalks are mostly free. Not much traffic/people. Area is peaceful and quiet. There is a convenience store below the hotel but not much food establishments around."

"Stayed in this hotel again after returning from Arima & Awaji, all baggage already kept in our room and ready for check-in at noon, hassle free. This room type has a desk without the sofa bed which we booked for the first night, it seems to be more useful. Coin laundry at 6F & 9F. Comfortable stay."

"In Japan, the Apa Hotel Chain is often used when traveling alone because of its low cost performance. I can't watch TV properly in my travel destination, so I'm always frustrated. This time, the function of smartphone screen mirroring is So I was able to spend it without being bored. I stayed at another hotel nearby, but the price was a little more expensive, the TV was much smaller, there was no function, and the bathroom was ok. It was much better to think of the price ratio of the sick hotel."

"While the hotel's location isn't as bustling as Kobe's Sannomiya commercial center, it offers excellent value for money, considering its convenient transportation, shopping, dining options, and the hotel's facilities. Opened in 2023, the hotel is very new. I booked a 21 sqm Superior Twin Room, and it didn't feel cramped at all. What I particularly liked was the separate wet and dry shower room, making for a very comfortable shower experience. The hotel elevator goes directly to the basement, where a left turn leads straight to the ticket gates for Hankyu and Hanshin Electric Railways. A right turn and a short walk through the underground shopping street takes you to Kobe JR Station. For major Kobe attractions, including Himeji Castle, you'll primarily use these three railway lines (there are also many subways and buses, but they're largely unnecessary). Day trips to downtown Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and other places from this hotel are very convenient and affordable. Outside the hotel and in the underground mall, there are plenty of restaurants for dinner. What I loved most were the two large supermarkets downstairs: Life and KOHYO, which offer many delicious and safe Japanese snacks to satisfy any craving. Many fresh food items start getting discounts in the evening, including sashimi, sushi, and tasty bread, which you can buy to eat in your room. Microwaves are available on the 6th and 10th floors. The hotel service was very responsive to requests, for example, when I asked for an extra pillow or daily coffee packets. The hotel's drawbacks: the duvet was too thick, and although the air conditioning kept me cool, its noise affected my sleep; the refrigerator was also a bit noisy. As a side note, for those traveling independently, getting to the hotel from Kobe Airport: take the Port Liner (elevated light rail) for 18 minutes (340 yen) to Sannomiya Station, then transfer to Kobe JR, Hankyu, or Hanshin lines, and the hotel is just 2 or 3 stops away."

"The location of Kobe Lumen Hotel is very good. It is in the city and the parking lot is easy to find. It is in the alley directly opposite the hotel and the price is reasonable. The hotel service is very good. We arrived very late and the check-in time was past, but they did not neglect us and arranged to check in immediately. When we checked out in the morning, we were 5 minutes late and they did not say anything. They were very gentle. The room was very clean and warm. The sound insulation effect was very good and suitable for living. In short, because of the comparison with the previous one, this one is simply heaven. The only flaw is that the room is a little small. Everything else is acceptable, mainly because of the cheap price."
