"Our stay at the Hound Hotel was magnificent. We received royal treatment from the owner of the hotel and are indebted to him for his kindness and willingness to ensure we were comfortable and well cared for. Despite our language barrier, the staff were keen to assist us at all times and there were always lots of smiles. Our time at the hotel helped us to thoroughly enjoy Daegu as a destination and we are glad to have discovered such a gem. Thank you Chung and all your staff."

"This is an excellent hotel, perfect for introverts! It's a fully automated hotel, from parking to checkout, everything is self-service. I recommend entering only one name when checking in, as inputting punctuation can be a hassle when retrieving the room key. The complimentary beer service ends at 10 PM, and since we checked in after 10 PM, we missed out. It would be great if they could put it in the room instead. Breakfast is also self-service; you just go down and grab what you want. The selection isn't huge, but it's enough to fill you up."

"I found this place while searching for accommodation near Dongdaegu Station, and everything was absolutely perfect. The host was incredibly friendly, and they generously stocked the room with amenities. I haven't slept this soundly on a trip before! The blackout blinds and excellent soundproofing were a game-changer. The room, bed, and bathroom were all generously sized, which made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. I'll definitely be back here on my next visit to Daegu!"

"As a solo traveler from Hong Kong, I felt this was more of an upscale, newly renovated motel, or even a love hotel. The room amenities were excellent, including a sterilizing wardrobe, bathtub, electric bidet, charging dock, air purifier, sofa, 65-inch smart TV, satellite channels, YouTube, and even a desktop computer. It would have been even more perfect with hand soap at the sink and shower gel/shampoo next to the tub. The staff were also very patient and friendly. Although they didn't speak foreign languages, they handled customer complaints well. I booked this place through Trip.com, but there was no mention of window issues. The pictures seemed to show windows, but the room I was assigned was in the basement with a decorative window that, when opened, only revealed a wall. I requested a room with a scenic window. Despite the language barrier, the staff politely explained that changing rooms would incur an extra charge. In the end, we both compromised and resolved it fairly, and I was moved to a third-floor room with a scenic window. The staff handled the situation perfectly and patiently. I believe the misunderstanding arose because the online listing didn't specify that rooms at this price either had no windows or no view, leading guests to misinterpret the photos. I highly recommend this hotel. The area is very lively at night, with more restaurants than the city center. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest Dongchon Subway Station, passing through the popular Dongchon Amusement Park tourist attraction. There's also a bicycle rental shop next to the subway station! Very good."

"Swimming in the winter infinity pool was the best, exceeding my expectations. The room was clean, and the bedding was comfortable and nice. I would love to stay here again on my next trip. The cafe next to the lobby is friendly, but... the coffee taste is a bit underwhelming. There are good food options down the hill, and it's close by. The hill was tiring though, haha. The view of Suseong Lake is great, too. 💕"

"This hotel left me with a wonderful memory. I accidentally left my charger behind and when I called, they kindly found it and mailed it to me! "I stayed here to visit the Gansong Art Museum. It's a new place and has floor heating, so it's nice, but there are two fatal flaws here. I had a companion, so I wanted a slightly larger room, so I chose a Premier instead of a Superior, but they said that this type of room is only available in front of or next to the elevator. If you don't prefer a room near the elevator, please take note when making a reservation. Also, the noise between floors and the side noise is quite significant... I could hear other guests talking...; I'm a bit sensitive to noise, so it wasn't good for me..."
