"The location was good. Pretty much in-between the pier and the beach. Bed was comfortable and the AC is great. There is a school very close that may get loud during school hours. Kids being loud and having fun doesn't bother me though. The front desk is not manned. No line/WhatsApp number to call. Reception closed at 5pm."

"Beautiful view in beach front (semi detached) cabins. We included breakfast during our stay which was fine (but take care some food had bugs). The rooms were fairly basic, not the most comfortable of beds and did not get cleaned during our 3 night stay. Water was provided and towels replaced once, left outside for us to collect. The restaurant was fairly reasonable, music at night. Unfortunately the rooms were very noisy, you could hear the neighbours during the night and lizards on the roof. The location is a lovely beach, not too far to walk on the beaches to tubtim, but a bit too far to walk to the main town."

"Beautiful view, peaceful location, good service staff, polite and friendly. The swimming pool is secretly too salty. Beyond the general salt water pool I went down to play for just a moment and my skin hurt a lot. Breakfast options are a little less."

"Mixed impressions) For families with children, the pool was a great help: two depths, for babies and a maximum of 110 cm. We vacationed with my 9-year-old daughter in June 2025. There were waves in the bay, so we often swam in the pool. For breakfast: buffet (watermelon, melon, tea, coffee, juices, cornflakes, milk, green lettuce, cherry tomatoes, white rice, rice with vegetables, with chicken, sausages, fried eggs, white toast, jam, butter, etc.)
We got a room in which the water in the shower and sink did not drain, not comfortable at all. But we lasted two nights) as in other houses - I don't know) Overall, good. We rented a motorbike and traveled around the island: we were on other beaches and at View points. At the very end of the island, there are gorgeous views!"

"A lovely hotel on the beachfront, with a gorgeous beach with white, clean sand and all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. "We stayed at the hotel for two nights. A big thank you to all the staff. Everything was clean and tidy. They treat guests with great respect. The only downside was having to wait until 2 PM for check-in, even though we arrived at 12:05 PM. But no worries, we just changed and headed to the beach. A huge thank you to everyone. We will definitely come back again."

"When choosing where to stay, we saw this hotel and its high rating, we took it (stupidly, 5 nights). Of course, you shouldn't expect much from such a price, in the pictures everything is more or less, in real life it's a disaster.
On the first night, someone was scurrying under the bed, we assume it was a geek. In the morning we asked to look, we didn't find anyone, but the guy at the bar-reception went out to meet us and changed the room.
The shower drained into a hole in the bathroom floor, ants.
The second night and the following ones, the room was a little better and the walls were cleaner.
But at night in the bathroom, in addition to the ants, there was a toad, I couldn't flush it into the hole in the floor. I caught it in a bucket and took it outside. There were more ants, if there are lighter cockroaches in the world, then 2 of them were killed.
But the sea is 50 meters away through the bar, which fills the wounds, from the room with its beauty and warmth.
Big respect to the guy at the reception. He responded to requests with interest.
Will we come back here a second time, no."

"The room was beautiful and clean. I got a room next to the Kahe and Sai Kaew beach. The view was beautiful. The accommodation was between Buggy and Sai Kaew Beach Resort, and it was a short walk to a 7-Eleven. Breakfast was a set menu with options to order in advance. You can eat at the cafe or in your room. However, the staff at the cafe and other areas lacked service mind. They didn't smile and greet me. They were either sitting on their phones or chatting in groups. The water and toiletries were insufficient for the guests. The restaurant and cafe closed early, closing before 5 p.m. There was nothing available for drinks or food. The entrance was under renovation, but every time I walked past, the attentive receptionist would come out and tell the technician to stop and let me pass. Thank you.
The air conditioning wasn't cool throughout the room, but overall, I liked the beautiful and complete interior design. The mattress on the large bed was too soft, causing back pain."

The breakfast is delicious – eggs, sausages, salami, a hot dish like noodles or pasta, pancakes, vegetables, toast, fruit (pineapple, watermelon). The coffee is freshly brewed. It's close to the pier and the beach. The main street is full of cafes, shops, and massage services. I recommend it!"

DDerek NormanThe stars of this hotel are the staff particularly the manager, Act, who could not be more helpful. She made everything about my stay easy and stress free.
The hotel itself is just across the quiet island road from the beach. Here there is white sand and crystal clear water. To the left is the busier section with all the normal beach activities together with bars and restaurants. It is just a 15 min walk into town this way. To the right the beach is quieter.
If you continue along the beach to the right you can follow the coast path which ‘hops’ from bay to bay making for a pleasant walk.
The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. You are supplied with everything you need including snacks, beach bag, wet bag, beach towel and beach mat.
I had a wonderful stay at Green Bay and thoroughly recommend it.

Enjoyed live music & a fire show in the evening. We gave 200 THB to the fire show men. Frankly speaking, their fire show skills are much better than Hawaii. (Except, no hip dance) It would be nice if the other hotel guests would have given them some tips, too. Everything was good, except the music at the restaurant by the beach was a bit too loud. I will return to stay at this hotel again if I go to Samed next time.

GGuest UserTraveling to Thailand during the low season is honestly not worth it due to the constant rain. The cleanliness of the beach left much to be desired, and the hotel breakfast was quite poor.
We often felt like we were bothering the staff rather than being welcomed. They weren’t attentive to whether guests needed anything or lacked something.
We even visited a local clinic, and they wanted to charge us 2,200 THB just for calling a doctor and speaking over the phone.
It also felt like the only thing that really mattered to the staff was the tip you might leave.
All in all, we don’t think we’ll be coming back.

Although the rooms are not new, they are spacious and have plenty of storage space. The daughter is delighted with the canopy on the bed. I think we'll come back here again.

GGuest UserThe location is really far off. In the last corner of the island. If you don’t have a motorcycle you don’t get around well.
There is a shuttle bus which costs around 120 to get to the main area one way for two, but it isn’t that reliable. It is supposed to leave once per hour at 30min after the full hour but sometimes it leaves 5min early and you are stranded for the hour, sometimes you wait until 45min after the hour.
The friendlieness of the staff was from super genuinely friendly and helpful to „ I don’t give the slightest **** for you“ really depends on the person. Breakfast was good, especially the thai soups.
Eating dinner there is very expensive and not that good. The restaurant location outside is spectacular. With view over the sea in many directions.
The huts where you stay are simply too small. I. Essence only a bed that you can walk around. No desk or something. No shelves or something where you could store or hang clothes. You have to live out of the luggage your suitcase. The issue is : there is only space to have one opened at the time, no space for two. That makes it rather inconvenient. The water in the romm is in glass bottles , but it is actually tab water smells like chlorine. I gor stomach pain drinking only one. We were told if we need drinking water , we must use the overpriced water from the minibar.
The beach wasn’t that great. You don’t walk on sand and there was lots of rubble in the water, not pleasant to swim. I would not go there again

GGuest UserLovely location with beach access. We stayed in a Cottage room, which had a large king-size bed and a single bed. The mattress was firm. Although the room was more than adequate for our stay, it is not luxurious. No room service is provided, but rooms are cleaned daily.
Breakfast was included and offered thai food and western based breakfast items ( although it was luke warm at best)
The dinner menu was very thai, fish based, but they did have pizzas or burger and bbq items. I ate mainly thai.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming, although a couple of times we ordered food or drink for it to never appear.
Beach .. sea was lovely and clear , and sand was soft and clean. You can walk over to the neighbouring bay for more restaurant options.
The usual downer is the people that insist on reserving sunbeds and barely using them... frustrating when they are unused for 4 or more hours.

The resort's prime beachfront location is undoubtedly its strongest asset. Situated directly by a beautiful stretch of shallow, crystal-blue waters, it offers safe and perfect conditions for family sea bathing. The convenience factor is excellent – you're just a two-minute walk from the famous Sai Kaew Beach, the iconic Mermaid Monument, and the bustling Silversand Resort area.
Accommodation & Ambience
While the resort building itself shows its age, the refurbished rooms create a lovely ambience with beautiful lighting that transforms the older structure into something quite charming. We stayed on the third floor, which offered peaceful mountain views overlooking the national park forest rather than beach views. The setting is genuinely calm and quiet – exactly what we wanted for a family retreat.
Important consideration: There's no elevator, so reaching upper floors requires quite a climb. As we joked, shuttling between the room and outside areas four times daily provides a workout in itself! This makes the resort unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues.
Dining Experience
The breakfast experience is delightful, served in a beachside restaurant where you can enjoy your meal with sand between your toes. The selection impresses with a good range of both Western and Thai options, including fresh fruits.
The resort's beach restaurant serves quality food with excellent value for money – we tried multiple dishes and enjoyed them all. However, there's no room service, and the restaurant closes early (around 9:30-10 PM). When late-night cravings struck, we found the nearby 7-Eleven (just 5-6 minutes' walk) convenient for snacks.
Room Amenities & Issues
Room amenities are adequate though not luxurious. The shower area is well-designed with a spacious dressing area. However, we encountered an unpleasant odor from the bathroom drainage system that required some management during our stay.
Activities & Surroundings
For water activities like parasailing, snorkeling, and jet skiing, you'll need to walk to Sai Kaew Beach to find service providers – fortunately, we found excellent options there.

COULD NOT GET TWO KEY CARDS FOR THE ROOM, RECEPTIONIST REFUSED THE REQUEST FOR SECOND 20 cent PLASTIC KEY!?!?!? NOT NORMAL SERVICE AND NOT PRACTICAL FOR TWO PEOPLE!!!
ALSO THE BUILDING HAS NO ELEVATOR!!!
Had to climb to third floor with luggages as bell boy was somewhere....also the actual room is in two levels i.e.: entrance and toilet downstairs, bedroom and living room upstairs.
Outside balcony shower and bath tub had no privacy as shower is visible to the courtyard.
Stayed 4 nights and 2 days water and electricity interruptions.
Beach bar Happy Hour doesnt work traditional way:
Ordered Kamikaze and Strawberry Margarita and tacos.
Drank the first Buy 1 get 1 Free and ate the tacos.
Waited for the second drinks for a while but then waitress brings us bill without asking it.
Happy Hour had ended and we didnt get our second drinks but got invoiced for only one THB350 cocktail and tacos, so be aware of the Grand View Happy Hour practices and dont miss the ordering window like we did. 🤭
