Koh Samet Hotels with Airport Shuttle

"This hotel gave me a very mixed impression. It's located right on the beach, and the only access is from the beach itself. You'll have to carry your luggage across the sand (though the hotel does have porters if you ask at the front desk). We didn't know this when we checked in, as this detail wasn't in the hotel description. We arrived in the evening and had to drag a huge suitcase 15 meters across the sandy beach in sneakers, dodging people dining at tables. Our room was booked for the 1st floor (booking photo attached), but we were assigned a corner room on the 3rd floor. We spent the next three days trying to sort it out with the hotel. They admitted their mistake and promised to move us, but never did, even though 1st-floor rooms were available during our stay. In room 31B, the Wi-Fi signal was completely non-existent. I had to go out onto the balcony every time and stretch my arm with my phone towards the pool. The internet on the beach also worked poorly. The Wi-Fi was only good by the pool. The TV in our room also didn't work. However, this was probably one of the few rooms in the hotel where you didn't need to draw the curtains, as the balcony view was of a wall (most rooms have glass windows and face each other). The hotel has a restaurant with some tables right on the beach; the menu is quite extensive, and the prices aren't inflated. The beach is nice, and the sea is magnificent. Breakfasts were good, with a wide selection, and the room was cleaned daily, with water provided. There's a pier about 15 meters from the hotel, and you can arrive and depart directly from there (300 baht per person). Near the hotel, there's a small shop, several restaurants along the beach, and bike rentals available. The reception can also call a tuk-tuk for you. On weekends, the reception and restaurant were open until 11 PM, and on weekdays until 9-10 PM."

"The room's cleanliness was decent, and the environment was quite good. The beachfront massage was nice. Breakfast was very average. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel, and both were pretty good. There was a young guy who served us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he never smiled, which honestly dampened the vacation mood a bit. The ladies at the front desk, however, provided great service. Koh Samet is a hidden gem with jelly-like clear waters, definitely worth a visit."

"We recently stayed at Samet Cabana Resort on Ao Wong Duean, and it was exactly the tropical escape we were looking for. We booked the Beach Cabana, and we cannot recommend it enough. The Room: Staying in the Beach Cabana meant waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Stepping out onto the porch with a view of the ocean was the highlight of the trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and had that authentic island bungalow feel while still having modern amenities (the AC worked great!). Being just a few steps from the water made all the difference. The Location: Ao Wong Duean is a fantastic beach, it’s lively enough to have good restaurants and fire shows at night, but much more relaxed than the busy main pier area. The water was clear and great for swimming right in front of the resort. Service & Food: The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of options to start the day. If you are coming to Koh Samet, do yourself a favour and splurge a little for the Beach Cabana. It transforms the trip from a standard hotel stay into a real beach holiday. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Great location, a small cozy hotel with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast; the soup was particularly enjoyable. They also offer free bicycles and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs). Direct access to two beaches is a huge plus. Even though it was off-season, we were pleasantly surprised by the weather. The sea was a bit wavy, but still swimmable. The beaches were clean, and the white sand crunched delightfully underfoot. You can even get a massage right on the beach. Act, the front desk manager, was incredibly welcoming and friendly, always ready to assist, and even saw us off to our taxi. I wish the hotel continued success. P.S. My only suggestion would be to refresh the beach towels."

"If you're coming to Koh Samet, this is the place to stay! Right outside the hotel is a great snorkeling spot. If you have fins and swim a bit further out, you'll see even more fish. Even if you don't snorkel, just tossing bread crumbs by the shore attracts a whole bunch of little fish, so it's fun for all ages. Plus, the fact that it's not crowded is a huge bonus."

"The most important thing about this place is its owner. Alex is a wonderful and friendly local islander. He truly puts his heart into what he does and does everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Have a problem? Just talk to Alex and he’ll do his best to help. Need advice? Ask Alex! I think the main idea is clear As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂 The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick. If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place!
