Seaview Hotels in Koh Samet

"This hotel isn't bad, it's stylishly designed, and the room is clean and tidy. The only downside is that there's no real beach directly attached to the hotel, and the access is from the sea side. There are no sun loungers, just tables on the sand. When it's high tide, the water comes right up to the hotel entrance, and when it's low tide in the evenings, it recedes about 200 meters, creating space for a walk. Breakfast is mediocre, and the service is too; everyone is a bit slow, but that's okay, it works for a couple of days' stay."

"Extremely satisfied with this hotel! The room was spacious and clean, and the location is unbeatable. The restaurant opens right onto a white sand beach. We stayed for two nights and literally spent two full days just lounging at the restaurant because the ocean view was so stunning we didn't want to leave. There are plenty of beachfront restaurants right next to the hotel, but the hotel's own restaurant also has a great selection. They even have a firework show in the evenings. The neighborhood is right behind the hotel, so it's super convenient if you want to go for a stroll."

"The location is right opposite to beach with their restaurant in between. Rooms are like nice and clean but the orientation is like a dormitory with walls between the rooms and glass partition n door at room entrance. So if someone is looking for beach side location is great but for families looking for more amenities and common areas in the hotel then it does disappoint. The evening is pleasant with the extension of restaurant on beach like all other resorts do on the beach."

"Check-in was strictly on time, and check-out too – they called exactly at 11. There was a 1000 baht deposit required at check-in. Our villa, out of all the rooms, was our favorite because of its secluded location and private mini-pond. The room wasn't cramped; it had everything we needed, except for a shelf in the shower for our toiletries. The breakfasts were a bit repetitive but good; fine for a 2-3 night stay. The view at breakfast was absolutely stunning, right on the sea. The grounds, though small, were well-maintained."

"Loved our first stay here! Our room was a ”Second Row” Sea View, but the view was still lovely. The room was huge, clean, and very comfortable, though the shower pressure could be stronger. The balcony is massive and great for relaxing. Since the resort gets a nice breeze all day, you can just sit and ”slow life” it for hours. The food is a standout—the Grilled Ribs and Grilled Garlic Fish are must-tries. Everything tasted so fresh. We will definitely be returning!"

"Although it's conveniently located near the ferry terminal, the room was very quiet, with no outside noise. It's perfect for a one-2 day stay on Koh Samet. The owner was very welcoming. Access was convenient and secure with a key card. The accommodation is close to a 7-Eleven, motorbike rentals, and restaurants – making it extremely convenient. The bedroom was clean and smelled nice; everything was great except the hairdryer looked a bit old. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely return."

"The taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people. However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned. Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day. One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police. Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists."
