"Near a shopping mall. Very kind parking attendant and receptionists. No deposit needed for room. We loved the room’s design. Has a separate toilet room with a japanese style automated toilet. Very big bathtub and also has a shower. The TV is smart tv so my son was able to watch youtube and netflix. Will come back here soon!"

"Weekend trip to Rayong city and this hotel meets our expectations.
The location is 10 seconds walk to Central Rayong mall. Where you could find many food and shopping stores.
Hotel itself is located next to main road which easy to access. But…be sure that you stay upper floor and sea-view room to avoid the noice from the road.
If you drive here, there are plenty of parking lots.
But…not a private one. So make sure you park in sight area even they have a security guard but not safe-guarantee.
The lobby is tiny but not a problem.
The room was surprisingly us.

Nice bed and pillows. Good TV screen and couch.
The bathroom is a little little little bit small but not that bad. The shower was good but…the drainage was not good. There was a little bit flood out of bath floor. So be careful this part, as you may slip on the floor.
Gym, pool, top floor bar, laundry machines, are good.
So far so good.
One of best options when you have a plan to stay in Rayong City.

"Fantastic hotel; we especially loved the breakfast buffet with its excellent varied dishes. Always plenty to be had. And the dining room was very clean and organized and the staff quite meticulous and attentive. Our room was lovely and comfortable, although it was void of most decor and art on the walls. Excellent soft and cozy bed and the AC was perfect. And I even used the fitness room, which was well equipped. A very clean environment and relatively new establishment. They even have great networks and streaming services on the room's TV. I managed to watch Prime with my active membership. Thank you everyone for a very pleasant stay. We're hoping to return in the future."

"Business hotel with a straightforward setup—clean rooms and a genuinely decent size. Soundproofing is solid. Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. Breakfast offers a good range of both Western and Asian options.
Two small issues for us: the blanket doesn’t breathe at all, so we woke up in the middle of the night in sweat, and the shower water never got quite hot enough.
If you just need an easy sleepover, this place delivers good value."

"I had a great stay at this hotel! It's a large and very clean property with 8 floors.
One of the best things about it is the location — even though it's not right by the beach, it's right in the heart of the city, which makes getting around super easy.
Just a short walk from the hotel, you'll find a night market, a fresh market, and even a 7-Eleven, so it's really convenient for food and essentials.
If I visit Rayong again, I’ll definitely stay at this hotel once more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay!"

The studio had everything you could have needed with a wonderful sea view . Brilliant sunrise in the morning and sunset at night.
The Kantary cafe made the best coffees, the Bistro 43 cooked the Italian food as good as we’d had in Italy and the buffet breakfast was so good.
The beach over the road had clear, stil water and beautiful fine sand with great tasting family run pop up Thai restaurants.

"The room was a bit underwhelming; they called it 'industrial style,' but it just felt sparse. The bedding was the main issue – the duvet cover felt thin and cheap, honestly a bit off-putting. The location was also just okay. I booked it because I saw reviews mentioning two night markets nearby, which was true. The night markets were lively and very affordable. However, it's actually a kilometer or two from the more bustling city center. I'm not sure why it has such high ratings; I found it pretty average and wouldn't choose it again."

"Overall, everything was very good. Special thanks for the cleaning and daily linen changes. I don't see the point in bringing breakfast as there's nothing to eat, no coffee, tea bags for a hundred times over... no pastries. There were fruit a couple of times, which was quite surprising. The gym looks like it's been used for a long time; the mats are covered in dust and spilled with liquid. The sauna is out of order. We didn't find any seawater in the pool, but we did see a man throwing handfuls of powder (which smelled like chlorine) into the pool around 3 PM. That's a mixed review."

GGuest UserThe taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people.
However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned.
Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day.
One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police.
Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists.

JJOYXJEighteen years ago, I visited Koh Samet and stayed in a Saikaew bungalow, which left me with wonderful memories. So, on my return trip this year, I chose Saikaew again, but this time I stayed in a pool room near the swimming pool.
The ground-floor pool rooms are quite spacious. The bathroom even has a separate small vanity, and the wardrobe is built into the dividing wall between the bedroom and the bathroom. Each room also has a large sofa by the window, which can be used as an extra bed if needed.
The only downside was that the lighting in the bedroom was too dim.
The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the pizza in the bungalow area was delicious. That part of the beach is rocky, so you can see many small fish when you go down to the water. There's also a heart-shaped tree by the beach 😊 The sand on White Sand Beach is very fine, and the fire show on weekend evenings is excellent!

CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.

Enjoyed live music & a fire show in the evening. We gave 200 THB to the fire show men. Frankly speaking, their fire show skills are much better than Hawaii. (Except, no hip dance) It would be nice if the other hotel guests would have given them some tips, too. Everything was good, except the music at the restaurant by the beach was a bit too loud. I will return to stay at this hotel again if I go to Samed next time.

Upon check-in, we encountered an issue with the door lock, but the hotel promptly arranged a room change. The front desk staff handled the situation with great efficiency and professionalism. I had a beautiful time here since my first step in till the day of step out. 🥰 welcoming with the white tea aroma had already impressed me. My room is a bit small for two but trust me! You don’t wanna stay in the room all day while the beautiful nature is calling outside. Apart from wonderful view right in front of my room, you can have your own moment of sunrise every morning, cozy and nice relaxing a whole day long, walking to see the sunset is less than 10mins. There is great service and the room keeps cleaning which they have never disturbed your staying.
They serve nice breakfast here both international buffet and Thai style. This place might be far away from other happening restaurants in the busy beaches but their dishes are acceptable, Thai dishes are good taste, fresh pizza served right from the oven while drinks, cocktails 🍹are good here! Some missing in the menu but I think they hear it. 😉

We recently stayed at Samed Grandview Resort and had a wonderful experience overall. The resort's location is stunning, with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere that made our stay enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met.
However, we felt that the beach entertainment could use some improvement. While the idea of music on the beach is great, the selection and execution were somewhat lacking, making it a bit boring at times. As professionals in the entertainment industry, we believe there are ways to enhance the experience for guests, such as incorporating a more diverse music selection or live performances.
We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to see the entertainment aspect elevated for an even better guest experience. Thank you for considering our feedback! 🙏🏻

We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well.
The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay.
There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely.
Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage.
Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space.
It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV.
The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous.
Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality.
However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently.
Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai.
Toast cereal and tea & coffee.
The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

GGuest UserThis hotel gave me a very mixed impression. It's located right on the beach, and the only access is from the beach itself. You'll have to carry your luggage across the sand (though the hotel does have porters if you ask at the front desk). We didn't know this when we checked in, as this detail wasn't in the hotel description. We arrived in the evening and had to drag a huge suitcase 15 meters across the sandy beach in sneakers, dodging people dining at tables. Our room was booked for the 1st floor (booking photo attached), but we were assigned a corner room on the 3rd floor. We spent the next three days trying to sort it out with the hotel. They admitted their mistake and promised to move us, but never did, even though 1st-floor rooms were available during our stay. In room 31B, the Wi-Fi signal was completely non-existent. I had to go out onto the balcony every time and stretch my arm with my phone towards the pool. The internet on the beach also worked poorly. The Wi-Fi was only good by the pool. The TV in our room also didn't work.
However, this was probably one of the few rooms in the hotel where you didn't need to draw the curtains, as the balcony view was of a wall (most rooms have glass windows and face each other). The hotel has a restaurant with some tables right on the beach; the menu is quite extensive, and the prices aren't inflated. The beach is nice, and the sea is magnificent. Breakfasts were good, with a wide selection, and the room was cleaned daily, with water provided. There's a pier about 15 meters from the hotel, and you can arrive and depart directly from there (300 baht per person). Near the hotel, there's a small shop, several restaurants along the beach, and bike rentals available. The reception can also call a tuk-tuk for you. On weekends, the reception and restaurant were open until 11 PM, and on weekdays until 9-10 PM.

He truly puts his heart into what he does and does everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Have a problem? Just talk to Alex and he’ll do his best to help. Need advice? As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂
The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick.
If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place!
