"I usually stay at this hotel whenever I visit Rayong for business. The price is reasonable, even during peak season, and overall my stays here have been consistent and satisfactory.
However, during this particular stay, I encountered an issue with the toilet in my room. A foul smell spread throughout the room and woke me up in the middle of the night. After checking, I noticed that after the last flush, the toilet bowl did not refill with water. The dry bowl likely allowed sewer gas to escape, causing the unpleasant smell to fill the room.
So, after flushing the toilet again, the odor gradually subsides into early morning.
Aside from this incident, everything else during the stay was as expected. While this experience has made me more cautious about checking for similar issues in the future, it was not serious enough to stop me from staying at this hotel again. But it is something management may want to look into."

"The room was a bit underwhelming; they called it 'industrial style,' but it just felt sparse. The bedding was the main issue – the duvet cover felt thin and cheap, honestly a bit off-putting. The location was also just okay. I booked it because I saw reviews mentioning two night markets nearby, which was true. The night markets were lively and very affordable. However, it's actually a kilometer or two from the more bustling city center. I'm not sure why it has such high ratings; I found it pretty average and wouldn't choose it again."

"what an amazing stay! i have spent 1 night and got an anniversary set up in the room which is very cute. the room size is the big benefit of the hotel not including game rooms, nice swimming pool and other services i have received during my stay. the breakfast offers you an international dishes whether Thai, Japanese or Western. The bay/beach area during October is great and the water is clear enough for the family to let their kids enjoy swimming!"

"Tamarind Farden Hotel at Rayong that we have stayed for 4 days, have given us an extraordinary great experience and pleasant impression ! It's not a mainstream hotel but its staff were courteous. The hotel area is very clean and wide. The size of our room was big, really spacious and clean. Our compliments to the cleaning staff there. The car parking area is really huge and convenient to access the hotel main area. The dining area is quite spacious, and the staff was extremely attentive. I will help to c choose foods that are not readily provided on the table. They are aimed to serve you. Foods are changed every day ! They are delicious, although not of huge selections, but are suffice ! I do recommend future travellers visiting Rayong to stay there for their next visit to Rayong. We will be back there !"

"The room was incredibly spacious, but the TV could definitely be bigger. It was a bit too small. Being right on the beach was great, and because it's an industrial area, there were very few Chinese tourists. We also got a free room upgrade, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was that the air conditioning blew directly on our heads; it would be better if that particular vent could be closed off."

CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.

GGuest UserRegular guest here. The hotel itself is nice but service is different. It tends to be some staff members differentiate the guests depending from which country they are. If you’re European looking, 100% you’ll get a perfect service, otherwise you’ll be not so lucky or even can face rudeness and unwillingness to help. So sad that the hotel policy is so frustrating and undeveloped.

AAnonymous UserAlthough the room was clean and the environment good the level of service left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival we were told that check in was ,2pm and the room was not ready, fair but was not contacted when the room was ready so booked in at 2pm. Decided to eat at the resort restaurant - not a good decision, ordered a pizza and can honestly say it was the worst pizza I have ever had, my partner , who is Thai, ordered Thai food and it was not great. We also ordered a seafood salad , that did not arrive after about 40 mins - told the staff and they informed us they had forgot, waited another 20 mins and still not arrived so we cancelled. No response from the staff. The table next to us complained that their food had not arrived and they were there before we arrived! Breakfast the next day was also not good. We asked at the reception to hire a motorcycle only to be told , don't have and told to find elsewhere - not a very friendly or helpful person on reception. Decided to go kayaking and then informed we had to pay! In short not what you would expect from this type of resort. Have to say that most the other staff were helpful and friendly. A side note - not enough sun loungers etc.

The rooms were fairly basic, not the most comfortable of beds and did not get cleaned during our 3 night stay. Water was provided and towels replaced once, left outside for us to collect. The restaurant was fairly reasonable, music at night. Unfortunately the rooms were very noisy, you could hear the neighbours during the night and lizards on the roof. The location is a lovely beach, not too far to walk on the beaches to tubtim, but a bit too far to walk to the main town.

1. Hotel is up the hill and it is very steep. It is a 3 storey buildings (our room is all the way up the top). Had to ”hike up” the hills and then the stairs. ( each trip is a cardio )
Not ideal to commute back and forth from the room to the beach. Not for elderly/ ppl with disabilities.
2. Breakfast is very average. There was limited seating so had to wait and refills took very long ( kitchen seemed to be short staffed in the high season )
Overall, the stay was average.

GGuest UserMixed impressions) For families with children, the pool was a great help: two depths, for babies and a maximum of 110 cm. We vacationed with my 9-year-old daughter in June 2025. There were waves in the bay, so we often swam in the pool. For breakfast: buffet (watermelon, melon, tea, coffee, juices, cornflakes, milk, green lettuce, cherry tomatoes, white rice, rice with vegetables, with chicken, sausages, fried eggs, white toast, jam, butter, etc.)
We got a room in which the water in the shower and sink did not drain, not comfortable at all. But we lasted two nights) as in other houses - I don't know) Overall, good. We rented a motorbike and traveled around the island: we were on other beaches and at View points. At the very end of the island, there are gorgeous views!

I had a beautiful time here since my first step in till the day of step out. 🥰 welcoming with the white tea aroma had already impressed me. My room is a bit small for two but trust me! You don’t wanna stay in the room all day while the beautiful nature is calling outside. Apart from wonderful view right in front of my room, you can have your own moment of sunrise every morning, cozy and nice relaxing a whole day long, walking to see the sunset is less than 10mins. There is great service and the room keeps cleaning which they have never disturbed your staying.
They serve nice breakfast here both international buffet and Thai style. This place might be far away from other happening restaurants in the busy beaches but their dishes are acceptable, Thai dishes are good taste, fresh pizza served right from the oven while drinks, cocktails 🍹are good here! Some missing in the menu but I think they hear it. 😉

We recently stayed at Samed Grandview Resort and had a wonderful experience overall. The resort's location is stunning, with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere that made our stay enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met.
However, we felt that the beach entertainment could use some improvement. While the idea of music on the beach is great, the selection and execution were somewhat lacking, making it a bit boring at times. As professionals in the entertainment industry, we believe there are ways to enhance the experience for guests, such as incorporating a more diverse music selection or live performances.

GGuest UserLa Lune on Koh Samet... it was alright, but nothing to rave about. When we entered the room, it wasn't cleaned well – there was sand on the floor and even in the bed, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. The pool, however, was really good, but room service barely worked, and breakfast was just so-so. The beach, though, was absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space and sun loungers, so that made up for some of it. Overall: okay, but it could easily have been better. 🌴✨
