"The hotel is located near Omonia metro station, which was convenient, although the area didn’t feel very safe at night. I had both dinner and breakfast there—the food was average, but fair for the price. The staff were very nice and always helpful. My room didn’t have a desk, unlike some of the other rooms. The bathroom sometimes had an unpleasant smell, possibly from the pipes, and I noticed a few small flies. On the positive side, the room was equipped with air conditioning, a fridge (very useful), a TV, and a balcony facing the street. The only small inconvenience was that after cleaning, the window was often left open, even when I hadn’t requested it."

"The hotel is nice and clean, in a run down part of town but easy to commute to most attractions. Family suit had enough room for a family of four. Breakfast is fine, but lucks variety - same selection everyday.  Wasn’t best pleased to be charged €2.50 per tea bag, these things are in the room in other 4* hotels. Nikos was amazing at reception, very much well-coming  and his suggestions for restaurants and Island visit was much appreciated, thanks!"

"The first impression was very good: we were able to check in early, the hotel is in a great location, and the room looked clean and pleasant. However, on our last day, something serious happened. After my husband finished his shower, he tried to open the sliding door, which wasn’t moving properly as it was slightly off the rail. When he attempted to put it back on track, the glass door literally shattered into hundreds of pieces. My husband ended up with some scratches that bled a little — and it’s honestly a miracle he wasn’t seriously injured. Accidents can happen, of course, but we would have expected more from the hotel than just a casual “Oh, so sorry.”"

"The hotel looks very beautiful in the pictures, but I was quite disappointed after checking in: First, the hotel faces the street, and the room I was given was a low-rise room facing the street. Later, the manager kindly moved me to a high-rise room facing the street, but it was still very noisy and I had to wear earplugs to sleep. The experience was very bad. This hotel was recommended as a design hotel, but this experience made people feel like a fast hotel; At the same time, the bathroom was also very small, and the quality of the toilet facilities was very average; There was no toilet paper in the room; The room was very small; The price I booked for this hotel was 1,500 per night. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt next door for only 2,000 per night, and the room area of this hotel was only half of the Grand Hyatt; the accommodation experience and breakfast experience of the Grand Hyatt were really much better. One night here really lowered the experience of the entire trip to Greece. Ctrip should do more research and be more fair when ranking hotels."

GGuest UserHighlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel. Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries. Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time Overall: a very pleasant stay

Ppui man tseThe hotel is located in the heart of city centre. WeI took airport bus X95 from airport to the final stop at syntagma and vice versa. The bus fare was pretty cheap, 5.5 euros for each trip. But it took one hour to and from the airport. There was a cafe on 7 floor and the view was incredible. The room size was OK for one to two people. Just stayed for 2 nights to explore the city and it's surroundings.

GGuest UserDid not use any of the facilities. Everything else was good. Not sure if it was connected to the hotel or a coincidence but for the first time in my 50 years of using a credit card I experienced invalid charges to my credit card. The hotel asked to scan the card for incidentals during check-in. Three days later the invalid transactions were on my credit card. GGuest UserReview for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

EElizabethPros: well-maintained place, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, nice rooftop views. Cons: unfortunately, enough that I wouldn’t stay here again. - The neighborhood is not the safest area, especially at night. - The hotel has no control over the cigarette smoking. Supposedly it is a non-smoking hotel, but I constantly had the smell of cigarettes coming into my room at all hours, even after mentioning it to the front desk. Friends in other parts of the hotel and on other floors experienced this too, and we were there a week. - The amenities are closed in the off season, and this was not disclosed at booking. (Pool, jacuzzi, rooftop bar, etc.) - Unless you book a deluxe room with a view, you will be in a black box with no natural light, facing a building with broken windows. - The light design of the rooms is impractical, especially the swinging neon light in the bathroom, which blinds you and makes it impossible to look in the mirror for more than a few moments at a time. There are a million switches to turn things on and spotlight overheads that don’t provide enough light.

NNatthenutterLovely little hotel with helpful staff. The train station is across the road from the hotel, which is very handy. The room was spacious enough for me. It got cleaned most days. The hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk to the main attractions (or you can just get on a train). I just googled places and walked everywhere. Never felt in danger walking around (that includes night time, too). There are a couple of mini supermarkets around the corner from the hotel with a variety of different things (fresh produce, etc). My room had a nice view of the city, and the sun was shining on my balcony most of the day, I could watch sunset (see photo) My ONLY negative was the smoking. The cleaner would smoke in her cleaning room, and when I got fresh towels, they smelt of cigarettes. Smoke travels, and I always knew when she had arrived or when she was smoking. I noticed that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel, but other guests were smoking on their balcony. Other than that, I had a nice, clean, and relaxing stay here. I would stay here again, super cheap and cheerful.
