Pet friendly Hotels in Athens

We chose Koniama Acropolis because we wanted to stay close to the Acropolis, and the location turned out to be excellent. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Acropolis and also conveniently close to the metro and tram. We actually used the metro to get to/from the airport and to explore other parts of Athens. The room was spacious enough for two, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was nice, the water pressure was good, and the AC worked well. The neighborhood was pleasant, with a nice coffee shop right across the street and a convenience store nearby. One of my favorite features was the rooftop, where you can see the Acropolis beautifully lit up at night. ❤️ The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the biggest plus for me was that they allowed us to check in early when we arrived. After traveling, that made such a difference and immediately gave us a great impression of the hotel. There is also a small elevator for luggage and a convenient back entrance that we could use after reception closed at 8 PM. Overall, excellent value for money, great location, comfortable room, and genuinely welcoming service. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Athens.

The only downside: I'm 6'3” (190cm) tall with shoes on, and the bed is just long enough to lie flat. If I lie on my stomach, it's a bit too short. When I lie flat, the blanket is also a little short; it doesn't quite cover me from my feet to my shoulders comfortably, but I still slept pretty well. The location is great, it's clean and tidy, and the facilities are comprehensive. There are even toilets and showers in the hallway. The rooftop closes at 9 PM and has chairs and a pool with a view of the Acropolis. The rooms have air conditioning. The staff are polite and professional. Bedding is changed daily, and any requests can be made at the front desk.

The biggest advantage of this apartment hotel is that it is in a good location, located in the city center, walking to the market, monuments, subway stations (40 minutes from Metro Line 3 to the airport), downstairs is full of lively restaurants, super convenient. The room is very large, a family of three and four are no problem, the facilities are complete, you can eat like a home, the hotel provides a variety of breakfasts, overall it is good. The only downside is that the surrounding area is too lively, and the restaurant bar below is noisy until two or three in the morning every day.

We really enjoyed our stay at Acropolis Magenta. The room was very clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. What impressed us the most was the staff. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely eager to assist whenever we had questions or needed help. Their kindness and professionalism made the experience even more enjoyable.

I booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didn’t book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis.

The room's terrace offered a fantastic view of the Acropolis! The room itself was in great condition, very clean and tidy. It was also conveniently located near a bus stop, with direct routes to all the attractions.

The room is great and super clean. Great value for money. Central location very easy to go everywhere with public transport.

Great priced hotel adjacent to a large park. Only a few minutes walk from Piraeus Port Gates 7, 8 & 9 and Metro into Athens and airport. Surrounded by bars, restaurants, harbour and only 10 minute walk to beach. Room very clean, bathroom modern and decor tasteful with soft furnishings and fittings all coordinated. Air-conditioning great and mini fridge actually cold. Towels and toiletries provided too. Yes the wardrobes and furniture a bit dated but have been painted to give more contemporary feel and everything matches, even the scatter cushions and curtains. Added bonus was lovely balcony overlooking the park. The staff too - front of house, cleaners, waiting staff all smiley and helpful. Seriously, for the price including a light continental breakfast you can't go wrong. We would highly recommend for a night or 2 stay before and after island hopping. Will definitely return. I traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!

The exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly. None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly. The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough. The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long. The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
