Canmore Hotels with Hot Tub

"I recently stayed at the Canmore Inn & Suites on Bow Valley Trail. While the property itself has potential and offers a convenient base for exploring the Rockies, my experience was significantly dampened by a factor I wasn't prepared for: a major local hockey tournament. The ”Tournament” Factor I was unaware upon booking that my stay coincided with a Canmore hockey tournament for U11 and U13 divisions. To say these teams ”took over the hotel” would be an understatement. The volume of children was overwhelming. This translated to: The Pool Area: Practically unusable for other guests; it was packed to capacity with kids from morning until night. Common Areas: Hallways and the lobby were very loud and, at times, felt uncontrollable. Lack of Supervision: There was a noticeable lack of adult/parental supervision in the public spaces, leading to a chaotic atmosphere that isn't ideal if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. Staff and Noise Management To the hotel’s credit, the noise did mostly settle down by 10:30 PM. I spoke with the front desk, and they mentioned we could issue formal noise complaints if needed. However, it felt like a losing battle given the sheer volume of groups. The staff are clearly used to this, as these local tournaments bring in consistent bookings for the hotel. While the team was polite, they seemed stretched thin by the high occupancy and the energy of the young athletes. The Room and Amenities Pros: The location is excellent—close to downtown and Highway 1. The rooms are generally spacious, and the mountain views from the upper floors are a highlight. Cons: The property is showing its age. Some fixtures felt dated, and the cleanliness in the high-traffic common areas suffered due to the heavy foot traffic during the tournament. Final Verdict The simpler solution here is a matter of timing. If you aren't in town to participate in or spectate a tournament, check the local sports calendar before booking. If a U11/U13 tournament is on, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you are here for the hockey, this is clearly the ”hub,” but for the average traveler, the lack of peace and quiet makes it hard to justify the price point during these peak weekends."

"We had a great 3 night stay here. We got the room with the balcony where you can see the mountains too. I really appreciate their room service. When we use to return to our rooms after a long day, the room and bathroom would be tidied up and provided fresh towels. The room was a decent size, it had an iron and microwave. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was awesome. It opened at 7am. We would leave the hotel for a long day with our bellies full. The staff was constantly refilling and cleaning the tables. The varieties were great and tasty. I loves their eggs, hash browns and seasoned potato wedges. They also had orange, apple and pomegranate juice. They have a nice conveyor toaster which I thought was convenient for everyone. We never had trouble with parking. The waterslide and pool is great fun. They also have a hot tub and sauna. I really appreciate the shower/restroom they have by the pool so you can shower and change before heading back to your room. There’s plenty of pool towels too. The location is near to several restaurants and gas stations. I would recommend staying here."

"The hotel has free parking, swimming pool and game area. It is safe and convenient to enter and exit with a password. The hotel is not new but cleaned. We are living in a two-bedroom room with a kitchen, fully equipped, and a large washing machine and dryer. It is so convenient for family travelers! Also pay attention to the last departure before the dishes are put in the dishwasher to wash, dirty towels are thrown in the bathtub, otherwise 50 Canadian dollars will be deducted. Generally speaking, it is very in line with our needs."

"I was a little nervous when I first pulled in but was instantly surprised. This little hidden gem was great for what I was needing. A safe, clean easily accessible place to stay. Though the carpet throughout is slightly dated the staff at check in and check out were polite and friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean (the floors, the bathroom and the beds). Very happy with my choice. A recommendation would be during your next renovation to remove the carpet and put in a hard type floor. a bigger go cup with liquid whitener for the to go coffee station would also be amazing. I look forward to my next stay."

"The room was great. The whole experience makes us felt like home, and we could definitely want to stay there for a long time if we can. The best place for families for sure. The amenities were great, and the one bedroom even have two toilets. Because I booked through trip.com, somehow the hotel has issues with my payment/authorisation. But, they have definitely communicated with me very promptly prior to the visit and everything went well. Highly recommend!!!"

"Our room was a little dated, but for the most part, it was very good. The fireplace made it that much better. If you wanted to use the stairs instead of the elevator, it was a little tricky. The staff were very nice. The only thing I was displeased with, was not being able to get any refund. We had to leave after our 2nd night of a 5 night stay. I understand that the hotel had every right not to grant the request, but even a refund for one of the three remaining nights would have been appreciated."

"LOVE the antique vibe and all the decorations were attention to details xo Spacious, clean, and comfy! Surprisingly quiet despite it was built on top of the pub. Front desk is NOT 24h available so make sure everything you needs are set before they close front desk. I walk from downtown to get there, 25mins walking. It was nice day so I didn’t mind but recommend to drive there. "

"The hotel I stayed at during Christmas had a very festive atmosphere, and they even gave the children small Christmas gifts. The hotel lobby, with its natural wood trim, created a warm and inviting feeling. Complimentary refreshments were provided, making it a very pleasant place to relax. The rooms were fully equipped, each with a balcony offering fantastic mountain views. Definitely worth staying here again."

"Hotel location is very good, driving to the town supermarket is very close. The facilities are great, very warm, just like the feeling of home, the service staff is usually not at the front desk, will not bother the guests, but on call, I like this feeling! The breakfast at the hotel is also great, exquisite, with fresh orange juice and a blend of healthy fruits and vegetables. Recommended to stay!"
