"Excellent! I don't know where to start. Everything was perfect, what you would expect from a place to stay and feel at home with perfect clealiness and comfort. So here in addition the things that makes its special: Super friendly and helpful staff, free bicycles, 5 mins from the main station, you have three little boxes at the bathroom containing cotton swabs, dental floss and sanitary pad. The breakfast was excellent, everyone gets an egg to prepare it by your own how you like it in the kitchen, different jams/spreads, a toaster, orange juice and of course coffee and tea. Also excellent: There is cooking oil, salt and pepper and even knifes in the kitchen. It sounds strange, but these are not very common in hostels. Everything is well organised, from check-in to all infos you may need in the hostel or around the area. I met great other traveler and the hostel offers a very good environment to socialize in the common spaces.
The only tiny thing which I missed is just a towel, some hostel have it, some don't.
One of the best hostels on my travels. It is a 6/5!"

"It was a last minute trip. I decided to stay there when I arrived. I've always heard that Cambridge Hotel is good, so I decided to give it a try.
The room was good overall and worth the price. I didn't use the midnight snack, so I can't give any comments.
The breakfast was Chinese and filling. The service staff was warm and friendly. They bowed to see me off at the elevator entrance when I left. It was the same as Japanese department stores, which made me a little uncomfortable.
The bed was too soft for me. 1 is hard ~ 10 is soft. I would give it 10 points. I wonder if I can choose the hardness of the mattress when booking? ???
Parking issues. Please ask the counter first. The flat surface is preferred."

The lady at the reception is really kind although she can speak English, she ensures to communicate all things needed. The amenities are great, there is great hot water in the shower, and you can store your things before check-in.
The location is perhaps far from the center but the buses help you.
Don't forget to visit the nearby town of Zhiben for the hot springs."

"The environment was very comfortable. Having a Muji right next door was incredibly convenient; if you forgot any toiletries or daily essentials, you could just pop over to buy them. The service was excellent; when the TV wasn't working, they promptly came to fix it. We also received a thoughtful reminder before check-out. Light daily housekeeping is available. The location is very central."

"It seems to be a bit old. Close to the night market, towels provided (you can get new towels if you stay multiple nights. You get them by returning the used ones), face towels are sold on one side of the first floor, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided, and two cup ramen are provided in the room. It's a bit damp so things you wash don't dry well, so if you're staying for one night, I don't think you should wash anything."

LLiThe hotel is clean and in a good location. There are many places to eat outside and it's not far to walk. It's just that the sound insulation is really not very good.
There are water dispensers on every floor, and you can drink ice water! It’s really needed in Taitung (bonus points)! ! The water is quite delicious.
There are free bicycles you can borrow, which is very convenient for people who don’t have transportation to travel alone. It saves money and effort. You can ride to the beach or go around to see the scenery.
It is recommended that the bicycle be inspected regularly, especially the chain and brake pads. The one I borrowed was in a serious condition of rust and wear. For safety reasons, it is better to check it again before riding.

TTU HUI EIt's a very artistic B&B. The rooms are nice and clean. When I checked in, the landlady was not there and she was very careful to tell me how to unlock the door. The instructions were detailed. When I returned to the B&B in the evening, I saw the hostess and chatted with me. It turned out that this was just opened not long ago. B&B. I often visit Taitung and will choose to stay there next time. I will also introduce it to my friends.

DDowlingMikeThis place is located minutes from the beach and minutes for the city so it’s a great location. The rooms are very clean and the access is safe and secure. There is free coffee and a microwave on the ground floor.
The only drawback (and it’s huge to a solo traveler booking forward legs of a journey) is that the WiFi is awful ! The connection is good on the ground floor but I was on the third floor and this proved very frustrating.
I was informed that the reception was “poor by the window of the room”. It was poor in every part of the room !
If they get this sorted it would be a full 5 star accommodation ….. it’s really a nice place (Room 301) …

AAshley0320Taitung is a little far away, but Naluwan Hotel is a place where you can stay for a whole day without having to go out. The only thing that needs improvement is that the number of people eating breakfast is really scary. It takes half an hour just to queue up to get in. The breakfast is rich and there are many choices! I will not look for other hotels in Taitung in the future. I will stay at Naluwan.

AAnonymous UserA wonderfully located hotel that has the mountain view as there is no other tall buildings around it. Parking is convenient - just outside the hotel, hotel basement or an open-air parking area opposite the hotel.
Room is very spacious and two full sized luggage can be opened comfortably with ample walking space. The toilet is big as well. There is bread and coffee/tea/juice available 24 hour. Instant noodles vending machine is available too. There is no convenience store around the hotel.
Wide variety of food is available during breakfast - porridge with condiments, cooked food, toast, fruits, salad etc.
Totally enjoyed the view that the room has to offer!

TtwinkleracI had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel.
There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because ”the hotel is closed for the day”. When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered ”because you don't have a Taiwan mobile number”. This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant.
Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on.
Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another.
In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.

1. Before the trip, I received a call to change the room type. One big bed, two small beds, and immediately responded no problem, but on the day of check-in, I felt very strange when I entered. Why is the room window small and dark? The response is to the counter at the moment. I actually said that I have confirmed that I have agreed to change it, but it is obviously not in line with the photo. Especially the price specially selected a higher room type, it should be the same price premise, change the room type of two small beds is normal logic, and later changed to a four-person room with large windows.
2. The check-in confirmation fee is said to be that the card has not been paid, but the card has been paid, but trip.com app shows that it has been paid. This seems to feel bad. If the counter card is brushed again at the time, it will not be repeated. This seems to be controlled. There are loopholes, it is easy to cause disputes after the event, and it is not careless.
3. The shower room in the bathroom in the room, only the glass isolation washbasin of 1/4, the wash basin plate is sprayed wet after the shower, there should be a glass sliding door, or a shower curtain separated, so that the floor outside will not be splashed when showering.
4. Because the event ended at noon, it was necessary to postpone the check-out. I also knew that 200/hour would be charged. I had to notify the counter that morning, but after I went back, I found that the original room card had been invalid and could not be used. There was obviously a gap in the information transmission of the internal personnel.
5. There is an additional 100/person for breakfast at check-in, but in fact, I went to eat, but found that no one asked the room number, whether you can also eat without paying the fee. If you add breakfast to the price, you may avoid misunderstanding, or you can actually pay for confirmation before you can eat.
