Still able to find the hotel while carrying 30kg luggage. Once you found the route, it is easier to get to the metro using the escalator etc rather than stairway.

"Rooms in Japan are generally small, but this one was clean and had everything I needed. There's no daily housekeeping; you have to put used towels and trash bins outside your door for staff to collect. They'll then hang fresh towels on your doorknob. You can pick up toothbrushes and toothpaste at the front desk. They also have a scale there for weighing luggage, and a microwave in their office if you need help heating something up. Vending machines on the 2nd and 13th floors make it convenient to grab a drink."

"Just finished my stay here and honestly, I really recommend this hotel! The location is super convenient — the Kitahama station is literally just one traffic light away, so getting to Namba, Shin-Osaka, or anywhere else is very easy.
The area is a quiet district, so you can actually sleep well at night (no noisy crowds). Plus, there are convenience stores everywhere — Lawson, FamilyMart and 7-Eleven all within 3 minutes’ walk.
One thing I really appreciated is that the hotel has laundry machines and dryers. This is very important when travelling, especially in colder or wetter seasons. The room size is also surprisingly big, not like those micro-sized hotel rooms in Japan. Everything was clean, comfortable and well thought out.
They also have a coffee machine that makes really nice hot chocolate haha.
Only downside is that there are only two lifts, so sometimes need to wait a bit.
Overall still a great stay. I’ll definitely come back again!"

"Just one train stop from Kansai Airport, and a quick walk across the connecting bridge gets you there. I stayed here for a night because I had a late flight. The hotel is a bit old, and you can definitely tell the facilities are dated, but it was actually quite clean. The size was perfect for one person, but it would be cramped for two. I added breakfast, and it was pretty good with a decent variety – my stomach was too small to try everything, but a few bites filled me up. The hotel is close to Rinku Park and the Outlet Mall, so you can take a stroll before checking out in the morning."

"First off, the location is fantastic, right next to Osaka Station and surrounded by Osaka's shopping district, including Hankyu and Lucua. The room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. The staff would ask about our preferred cleaning time and even provided useful skincare products. We accidentally left something behind in the hotel, and the front desk kept it safe for us to pick up the next day. Their service attitude was exceptionally good and very warm-hearted ❤️ Five-star rating, I'll definitely book again next time!"

"The room was nice and quite clean. If you like quiet and want to be far from the elevator, make sure to tell the front desk, and they'll arrange it for you. Then, you just need to select a few buttons at the self-service machine.
The transportation is incredibly convenient. I came here for a few day trips, and their parking is right across from the hotel. The location is excellent, with Shinsaibashi right to the right. It's a bit of a walk to Namba Station, but otherwise, everything was perfect. It was also reasonably clean."

"As a well-established hotel, Nikko's baseline quality is inherently high. You can directly access the hotel elevator from Exit 8 of Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji Line, and a地下道 (underground passage) connects you to Daimaru and Parco. It's truly in the most convenient location in central Osaka. Dotonbori, Orange Street, Namba, and other popular areas are all just about a 10-minute walk away, and Umeda is only three subway stops, making it perfect for shopping and dining. The hotel reception has a very enthusiastic female manager who speaks Chinese. The room is spacious, with no problem opening two large suitcases. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Osaka."

YYuexin IrisBefore my trip, I was torn between the InterContinental, W Hotel, Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, and The Park Hyatt, but I ended up choosing the InterContinental, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel upgraded my room, and both the view and the size were fantastic.
The hotel's location is impeccable, right above Grand Front Osaka. Stepping out, you're immediately surrounded by major shopping malls like Hankyu, Daimaru, Yodobashi Camera, Lucua, and Lucua 1100, all connected by walkways. From gourmet food to shopping and trendy brands, it was incredibly convenient.
Having such a spacious room in Japan is a rarity. Our upgraded room must have been nearly 100 square meters – incredibly roomy and practical, complete with an oven, induction cooktop, and a double-door refrigerator. The bathroom featured a bathtub and Byredo amenities; a soak with the hotel-provided bath salts instantly melted away the day's fatigue.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide array of choices, including Japanese cold dishes, Oden, and Western desserts, all with meticulous attention to detail. From the concierge to the front desk, every staff member demonstrated professionalism. At check-out, they even proactively helped load our luggage into the car and confirmed the address with the driver in Japanese. Plus, there were many staff members who spoke Chinese.
The only minor drawback was a noticeable smell of disinfectant when returning to the room each day, but it didn't detract from the overall experience at all. Whether it's for shopping, comfort, or service details, this hotel will definitely be my choice again on my next visit to Osaka!

DDeX3007Mostly everything is good, the services, cleanliness and amenities. They even provide simple yet delicious breakfast with reasonable price, and a hotel pyjamas.
The only problem is the laundry service, only have 4 unit and always occupied...and need to wait so long to wash, plus that 1 hour wait to unlock the door after it finished washing, I am not sure is this normal 😅😅
Hope the hotel can look into their laundry service, anyway everything is good 👍👍

EEeveeatsWe’ve been to Japan a few times now and we officially decided Namba is a ‘no’ for this trip, too much chaos. Instead, we stayed right at the doorstep of the Osaka Umeda JR station. It’s that perfect sweet spot where you’re surrounded by every restaurant and konbini imaginable, but it’s actually quiet and tucked away with good sound proofing.
I originally booked a room with no windows but they were so sweet and upgraded us for free. The room was actually decent sized for Japan standards, I could actually walk around the bed and the bed itself was a dream. Honestly, if you want the convenience of Umeda without the noise, this is the move. 10/10 first stop.

HHok Ming KarlFrom the photos provided by the hotel, I thought the room would be small, but after checking in, I found that it was big enough to open four suitcases at the same time, and the bathroom was also spacious with a large bathtub. The lobby has a nice smell, which makes people feel relaxed. The staff is also very friendly and polite. The hotel is very friendly to self-driving tours. There is already a parking lot next to it, and the price of overnight parking is very cost-effective.

MMeitounaohahahahaThis is one of the few hotels in Japan with a 12 PM checkout, which is great. There's a Christmas tree downstairs that adds a lovely atmosphere. We went to the theme park on our second day, and this hotel is the closest one to it – the entrance is right downstairs! Food options are also very convenient. I highly recommend the fried beef cutlet, it was absolutely delicious! Our clothes got soaked on the Jurassic ride, which was totally unexpected, but thankfully we could just pop back to the hotel to change. You just need to get a stamp from the staff at the entrance to re-enter the park. I hope to bring my kids here next time and will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe hotel left us with mixed feelings. On one hand, it’s very stylish, and the rooms are beautiful. Location is perfect with two steps from the metro station. Overall, we did enjoy our stay.
However, there were a couple of disappointing points.
1) The male receptionist who checked us in was surprisingly unfriendly and behaved in a rather strange way, which made the first impression uncomfortable.
2) Another issue was the rooms. We booked two “Premier” corner rooms and were expecting a nice view, but both were on a very low floor, and the large corner windows faced a blank wall. It felt odd to have such beautiful windows with no view at all.
In the end, it was a decent stay, but the experience was definitely mixed.

GGuest UserCompared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶

The room was neat, clean and feeling new.
However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings.
Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day.
Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.
Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time.
The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner.
The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.

GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay.
I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal strip. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced.
Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning.
Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door.
None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.

Ang staff ay super accommodating at laging nakangiti—ramdam mo talaga yung warm hospitality. Mabilis mag-assist at very approachable.Perfect ang hotel na ito for families, couples, or even solo travelers. Babalik kami ulit for sure!
